Battle of Okehazama

Brandt could feel it. There was something in the air. The energies of battle were beginning to flow freely within the Nord as he stood awaiting the clash ahead. Having stayed with Oda's main force, the giant was preparing to take an army head on.

Resting upon one knee, his newly acquired Zanbato dug into the earth as those pale green hues hid behind their lids. Resting his forehead against the pommel as he prayed to the gods.

"Odin, grant me your strength, wisdom and courage.. I shall fear no army of man, for all men bleed and die. However my path has not reached an end. I shall not see my way into Valhalla this day.."

His gruff voice barely speaking above a whisper. Brandt would lift his chin upon the bottom of his blade, cheek against the handle as he opened his eyes. The nord would wait patiently, for The Sword of The House Of Strength would lay waste this day.

[Oda Nobunaga]

After few long moments of waiting, the storm would finally begin to dissipate. This was the signal that the attack would begin. A grin crept upon the lips of the Demon King as he and his forces charged toward the Imagawa Main Camp, their forces dashing down the hill and clearing it in no time at all. Any Imagawa soldiers who'd noticed the Oda forces were slain immediately, as they had no time to react, and Nobunaga made his way toward Yoshimoto specifically.

Wordlessly, one rank on either side of the main force would split off and begin to surround the camp. Their goal was to close it off and crush the forces without giving them any opportunity to run.

[Tokugawa Iemasa]

Once Iemasa noticed the storm was settling, he knew what his job was. The man would take a few Oda soldiers at his side and charge into the main camp, shooting any Imagawa soldiers he came by in the head. He would waste very little time with the small fry, as his intent here was to find his "Brother", Lord Ieyasu. He would not allow the man to perish if he could help it.

[Amakusa Takehiro]

With the Supply Depot and Lookout having been taken, Takehiro found there was little point in staying on the side he was at. With one giant leap, the Daimyo of Totomi cleared the distance from the Supply Depot to the center of the main camp, where he would land and spin on his heel, swinging his glaive about him in a wide circle of death. His goal would be to cleave apart as many Imagawa soldiers as he could and end this quickly, and, if possible, kill Imagawa Yoshimoto himself.

So far, Takehiro was incredibly disappointed with the opponents he's faced in this battle, so if he got the chance to fight this fierce Daimyo he would take it.

[Kuroshi Maki]

As the battle at the supply depot was done, it seems the battle had not ended.The bigger battle was about to unleash at the enemy their main camp. Already on horse back I would wait for Gabriella to get next to me again so I would ride together with her to the main battle. Also the men under my command would team up with me.

Riding upon the main camp we would not foolish charge in and look around for a opening and charge at them. as most would attack from the front or the sides, we would circle around to the back and charge from there cutting off there escape point.Any enemy upon our path will be slain.

[Gabriella Santos]

Gabriella would look back, and notice that the women she had been guarding was trying to escape however there was little reason to go after a single person and would let her. Hopefully the women was smart enough to just run away. Gabriella would instead ride to catch up with Maki and would follow his lead. 

The day was starting to were how down, and she hoped that this battle would come to a close quickly. Maybe then she could get her hands on some of the drink the Imagawa had all got drunk off. If they were engaged on the way to cuting off the Imagawa, Gabriella would hold her shots, and only fire a targets that had manage to react and could possibly be about to strike out at  one of the Totomi.  

[Ichimura Ryunosuke]

Not wasting momentum, Ryunosuke continued to drive the chariot towards the main camp, and before the Imagawa soldiers there drew up a battle array, he would fire towards their direction, discomfiting them and making them unable to draw up a battle array. But as he neared the camp, he would just circle it with his chariot, firing his howitzer towards the enemy troops.

[Constantine Lawrence]

Still not taking off the armor that he equipped himself while he was yet at the armory, Constantine moved forward slowly, the weight of the armor bearing on him as he slowly moved towards the Imagawa camp. When he would see any lone soldier among the enemy, he would move towards that soldier, use his flute to shield himself from the attack that will be made by that soldier, and use his katana to cut clean through the soldier. He then would seek again another lone soldier and do the same thing. If he would be charged upon by a huge number of enemy soldiers, he would move back towards the allied soldiers, and then move again to slay any lone soldier that he could find.

[Chosokabe Nanami]

~* Nanami would follow along the unit from the armory, staying close to Constantine. While he would pick off any lone soldiers, the pirate would be aiming her cannons at groups of soldiers, firing and planning on decimating entire squads all at once. This was to ensure her companion's tactic of picking off single soldiers could continue without worry.

[Yamabara Shou]

Shou catch his sword from dealing with the last of the soldiers at the armoury, swinging it in order to clean it of blood. Above clouds parted and the weather seemed to improve. And ahead was the main force of the Imagawa army. Shou looked back to Koboyashi and the men, nodding at him before spurring Gokaze forward. 

Shou would charge toward then army, expecting the rest of the force to follow. With a powerful toss, Shou's blade would slice through the first line of confused Imagawa soldiers, before flew back in time for him to catch and charge into the enemy line. The idea was to break the enemy line, while they were still confused so that the rest of the force from the armoury could charge in and scatter them.

[Sanada Yukimura]

Before he could slam the blunt-end of his spear at Hidenori, he would find his motion halted and would turn and see it was by a man who resembled Haji, white hair and all. Giving the man a piercing look, Yukimura would not resist, and would instead lower his spear, as Hidenori and those with him surrendered. With the last of the Imagawa soldiers dispatched, Yukimura would take off on his demon chariot back towards the center of the main camp as the storm passed and cleared up. Aiming directly for a large group of Imagawa he would engulf the blade of spear in fire and begin swinging it, aiming to cut down as many soldiers as he possibly could.

[Morei Hideyasu]

- Much to Hideyasu's relief, the man lowered his spear. Without another word, he looked over at Hidenori, seeing his brother make a wise choice in surrendering. As the rest of the squadron began to move, Hideyasu would follow suit. If any enemies came near him or his brothers, he would meld into the shadows to slay them. All the while, he would keep his distance from his brothers. The time wasn't right for their reunion. Not yet. Perhaps after this battle was over...

[Morei Haji]

I lowered my weapon in shock as the Uesugi soldier surrendered. Did he just say Morei Hidenori? Was he really...?

Katsuie had stopped everyone from fighting, and the group began to move out towards the main force. I followed along, staying close to Katsumi, as I stared at the back of the man who claimed to be my brother.

"Katsumi... is that... is he really alive...?"

I don't know what kind of answer I expected, but I was in disbelief regardless. Perhaps this meant that Hideyasu was still amongst the living as well. My own brother, Hidenori, and he was almost slain in this battle.

As we approached the main force, I would do my best to snap out of my thoughts, firing huge blasts of light towards the enemy group in front of us in order to take out as many as I could all at once.

[Shinomori Katsumi]

If everything worked out accordingly, Katsumi would sigh upon seeing Hidenori and move over to Haji. She took his hand and nodded, thumb stroking over his flesh.

"Yes, Haji-kun. Perhaps," she paused, biting down on her lip and shifting a bit uncomfortably, eyes casting downwards before sliding over to Haji, "next time, we... can meet under better circumstances. This... is not how... I wish things had gone..."

But this was not the time to talk. Squeezing Haji's hand, she would move towards the main group along with Haji. And when enemies were within sight, the archer would fire as swiftly as she could at as many targets as possibly, using her wind musou to manipulate shots if need be.

[Wakeshima Shoji]

Shoji smirked. It was time.

The laying, waiting wolf revealed his fangs and leaped forward, charging straight towards his prey. Katana in left hand, Shoji swiftly moved ahead, veering off towards the side. As much as he wanted to sink his teeth into the prey right at the front, there were those at the sides and at the back, those that were trying to flee, or who would soon enough (but Shoji and others wouldn't give them that chance, encircling them.) And nothing smelled and tasted better than fear.

A man near the front of the running group was cut down by the psychopath, and Shoji grinned widely in sadistic amusement. Crimson flew in the air, raining down, and it continued to rain blood as Shoji would swiftly slice and dice at as many soldiers as he could.

"Little sheep, little sheep, it's time to sleep~" cooed the psychopath, who chuckled in delight as he killed the soldiers. With a smirk, Shoji purred with a dark sensuality, crimson eyes glinting like his bloodied katana in the night, "But not before you bleed and bleat~!"

[Miyamoto Kenji]

With the abrupt surrender of the Uesugi and Date officers, Kenji recalled his attack. There was nothing to be gained from killing men who had submitted, except bad feelings and karma. At that time, the storm had let up, which was when the main body, along with the detached units, were to rush the enemy main camp. Thus it came that the shugyosha would turn and make for the Imagawa forces. His body alive with adrenaline, and his blades ringing through the air, Kenji would tear into the enemy footsoldiers once he made contact, fighting with a balance of offense and evasion and sparing only those who would give up the battle.

[Yuy Masahiro™]

Luckily I had been able to sidestep out of the way of the Uesugi soldier's attack. I pulled my sword horizontal to use a Ryuukansen, but before I could attack, the soldier threw down his arms and surrendered. Morei... I looked back at Haji's shocked face. So it seemed he was related. I almost dropped my katana when the Date soldier threw down his arms as well... Noel... He was... I gripped my katana tighter as I fought the urge to release an attack on Noel. He would have to wait. I'd handle him later.

I followed Haji's lead as we charged the main camp. As Haji sent out his wave of light, I drew my katana and dashed behind the wave, using it to clear a path towards the main camp, slicing down any enemies the wave might not have hit. If I got within range, I would pull my sword back and slash in a horizontal arc, unleashing a lightning aura blast at the camp. I wanted to see how much damage this attack would do before releasing the rest of the lightning waves.

It is time..

Brandt would watch intently as the storm began to dissipate and the attack of Iwagawa's main camp would commence. The thrill of the coming battle almost put a smile upon his face. Grasping the handle of his sword, the giant would begin to rush toward the camp himself.

Those pale green hues would catch sight of the Demon of Totomi land in the center of the camp and Brandt would make it his objective to move toward him. It wasn't as if he needed the Nord's protection, it was the simply due to the fact that the strongest of fighters would meet there. Thus he would not be left out.

"Widely is flung, warning of slaughter,
the weaver’s-beam’s-web:
’t is wet with blood; is spread now, grey, the spear-thing
Before, the woof-of-the-warriors
which valkyries fill with the red-warp-of- Randvér’s-banesman!"

His battle hymn sounded out as he approached the main forces of Iwagawa the giant would activate the shield burst and launch himself upward and over his enemies. His goal was to crash down into the middle of them before cleaving left and right as he looked to carve a path toward the center of the camp.

"Is this web woven and wound of entrails,
and heavy weighted with heads of slain;
Are blood-bespattered spears the treadles,
iron-bound the beams, the battens, arrows:
Let us weave with our swords this web of victory!"

[Morei Hidenori]

Gritting his teeth, Hidenori would pull the arrow from his shoulder before tearing off a piece of fabric from his clothing to use as a tourniquet to stall the bleeding until he could get it checked by an actual doctor later on.

Lifting his zanbato onto his shoulder with his other arm, Hidenori began to walk alongside the Oda troops, feeling rather low that he had to fight against the very people he came here seeking peace for.

"This all seems kind of backwards, Mikhail... doesn't it?"

The tall soldier would swing his weapon at any approaching Imagawa soldiers, taking the time to go more defensive rather than offensive, knowing it was risky with his shoddy arm.

[Mikhael]

With the Uesugi forces being spared, Mikhael showed some signs of relief, though he was displeased with his lord having suffered a pointless injury. As the group marched onto the Imagawa main camp, he would do all he could to protect Hidenori, irony aside.

"The fates have willed it, my lord. Please, do not strain yourself."

Charging into the fray, Mikhael would be Hidenori's offense, using the power of his boots to intercept any attacks before they came his way. He would serve as a shield, more intent on protecting him than assisting the Oda. All he was concerned with now was making it out of here alive.

[Kyoya Naotora]

After the Amakusa-Oda forces had already left the area of the supply depot, Naotora would wake with a feeling of sickness and pain surging through her body. None of that would process, however, as her eyes fell to the unconscious Keisuke at her side. Everything was blocked out at that point - the pain, the war itself - and Naotora was overcome with rage. Forcing herself to her feet, the woman let out a roar of bloodlust, taking her weapon in her hands and leaping unbelievably high into the air. She would land in the middle of oncoming Oda forces, and would swing her devastatingly powerful weapon all around herself over and over, creating an incredibly useful offense and defense at one time.

[Ikeda Keisuke]

Even after the Amakusa-Oda forces had left the supply depot area, Keisuke would not wake up, but instead was still unconscious, and would remain unconscious until further notice due to blood loss. Suffice to say, he was going to need medical attention soon, but at least he wasn't bleeding as heavily as before, since he was barely moving.

[Etincelle Noel]

Before Hidenori could swing his sword, I stepped in front of him stopping his attack by grabbing his good arm with one hand. My other arm, readied my blade as I moved both hands to swing in a horizontal arc, attacking and killing all who dared oppose us. I thrusted my whip-blade into Hidenori's hands, forcing him to take it.

"Idiot. You can't swing something like that around with a bad arm. Use this instead."

Before I knew it, I felt a quake. I saw a mass of soldiers being thrown around and blown away in an all too familiar fashion.

"/Dammit./ I have to go."

I wanted to keep an eye on Masahiro... but at this rate. Nao was going to blow away the Oda forces until the stronger guys came in and killed her along with the rest of us Date guys. I slung my sword in front of my left shoulder, and charged through the masses of people until I reached Nao, shouldering anyone that got in my way with my sword.

"NAO! YOU NEED TO STOP!"

[Katsurayama Haruyuki]

After the battle in the armory, Haruyuki would not move in yet into the final battle. Not yet hearing of the fate of the other Date diplomats in the supply depot, he moved towards the direction of the supply depot to look for them or their corpses. He had to relay his and Noel's decision on stopping to support the Imagawa and fight at the side of the Oda.

He then arrived at the supply depot, and as expected, there were a huge number of corpses lying around there. He then rummaged through the bodies, searching for Date soldiers that have survived the clash, and, after they had all been treated, he would tell them that they had to switch sides and fight the Imagawa, for the Imagawa's situation was hopeless, and should they continue to side with the Imagawa, they would be wiped out.
