It disgusted me to work alongside these cretins, this Date Army. I had sworn my vengeance against the War Lords whose pathetic plays at power had caused the death of my family and clan. Yet, here I was... working alongside those very same pigs. Granted Date looked barely older than myself and could not have played a part in the destruction, but his right eye Kojuro appeared to have a decent amount of experience under his belt. I would have to do a lot more research before I decided if my brand of justice would be reserved for these two.
As the men around myself cheered in delight and raced off after their leader, I wordlessly followed, earning the glares of Date's followers. It seemed all but Noel was displeased by me. Probably because he already knew my demeanor. I then was pressed through listening to Noel's idiotic speeches.

[[OoC: Shugo Appearance ]] You make a mistake and you move on... At least that's how it's supposed to be. Every year I come here. To the site of my greatest defeat. The first time I couldn't protect a friend from dying. The first time I broke ties with a friend. The first time I nearly killed someone. It all happened here on this rooftop, at PHS #345. "To think I was stupid enough to believe I had the power to make a difference back then. Haha..." I ran my hand through my bangs covering my eyes as I looked up at the sky. Huh... was it raining? No... the skies were blue. I walked over to the edge of the rooftop and looked down after wiping at my eyes with my sleeves. Fuck... I jumped from the rooftop. Don't worry. It was only 2 floors. Fairly tall floors though. I landed on both feet none the less, with a fairly loud tap. I left the grounds of the ruined school and started walking down the sidewalk, sliding my hands in my pockets and letting my hair cover my eyes. I stopped a ways down by the entrance of the graveyard... I did this every year. Looked but never entered. |

After Haji sent through his blast of light, I moved in front of him, hoping to give him a moment to drink his musou wine. Snapping my wrist, I would turn my sword into a bladed whip and swing in a horizontal arc, slashing through anyone that tried approaching him while he tried to recover. I sheathed my sword as it returned to a regular katana, keeping my left hand on the sheathe and my right on the hilt.
"Forget the small fries. Let's find Yoshimoto."
I crouched low and ran forward, sheathing and unsheathing my sword to slash through any enemies I ran across, not stopping for even an instant. There were more important things to do right now.

I wasn't able to enter the left and the center paths when I tried earlier.... I only hoped that the right would not be completely sealed off to me as well. I hoped I wouldn't outlive my usefulness in that path. I did have my secret weapon in case. I had to pretend that I knew everything about this place. Otherwise one of these warlords might get pissed off and decide they don't want to deal with me. I kept my katana sheathed as I followed Kenshin to the right path, keeping my left hand on the sheathe.

I smirked... it was all going according to plan... You see fighters know what each other are thinking without any words. So I knew that Takehiro's plan was to drop himself as a brick down on Metaknight, there was no avoiding it that thing was Metaknight. This would throw Metaknight up into the air right above me. From there I would simply execute the attack I had charged up slamming my blade down into the ground, allowing it to erupt flames all around me.
It was the perfect plan... but it all depended on Takehiro's perfect timing with his brick attack. So I waited for my moment.

Luckily I had been able to sidestep out of the way of the Uesugi soldier's attack. I pulled my sword horizontal to use a Ryuukansen, but before I could attack, the soldier threw down his arms and surrendered. Morei... I looked back at Haji's shocked face. So it seemed he was related. I almost dropped my katana when the Date soldier threw down his arms as well... Noel... He was... I gripped my katana tighter as I fought the urge to release an attack on Noel. He would have to wait. I'd handle him later.
I followed Haji's lead as we charged the main camp. As Haji sent out his wave of light, I drew my katana and dashed behind the wave, using it to clear a path towards the main camp, slicing down any enemies the wave might not have hit. If I got within range, I would pull my sword back and slash in a horizontal arc, unleashing a lightning aura blast at the camp. I wanted to see how much damage this attack would do before releasing the rest of the lightning waves.

This wasn't good... if these warlords got into a fight and I was dragged in with them... There was no way I would be able to make it out alive. Not unless I used that technique... and even then it wasn't a guarantee that I would make it out. I quickly decided to give them a reason to keep me alive.

"YOU'RE NOT EVEN FROM THE RIGHT GAME!" I grabbed Valo's wrist quickly and pulled him back up as we began running. The thing covered his face with what looked like one wing while it chased us. Was it... Meta Knight? What the hell did we walk into? Did someone knock us out and throw us into some weird cosplay thing? Wouldn't be the first time someone knocked us out and dressed us up in weird stuff. "WHY'D YOU TAKE THE MASK IF YOU DIDN'T WANT IT TO CHASE US?! Wait stop!" I thrusted my arm out, intending to stop Valo from running. It looked like... we were at the end of a platform... IN OUTER SPACE?! WHAT THE HELL WAS GOING ON?! |

I put my hand up to the door of the left path. It looked like the dungeon wouldn't allow me to enter it again. I heard a noise behind me, hearing someone enter, I turned to find myself face to face with another warrior, not quite sure who he was. I insinctively, put my left hand on the sheathe of my lightning katana, in case he was looking for a fight. But before I could even address him, the doors to Numa Castle were completely destroyed as yet another one came in. One eye... six swords... could he be? I didn't need to wait any longer because he decided to announce himself. I turned back to the other one, he bore the mark of Uesugi on his armor... I wondered if it was a general... or even the man himself.

[[OoC: This entire thread takes place in the dreams of mine and Eric/Haji's other characters, Shugo and Valo. Shugo and Valo live in a modern day school setting from a board called 552. If you've got 552 characters and you want them to show up in this, or even if you don't and just want your characters to show up at some point, shoot either me or Valo a PM. We're going to be going through a ton of different scenarios, and we usually like for other characters to make a cameo during the scenarios.]] A flash of blue flames. "Great Aether!" My sword flew into the air, and I instinctively followed it, as if I had done this a million times. My spinning blade struck the enemy that was suspended in mid air as if by invisible strings. I caught my sword by the hilt, striking once, twice, and then three times, before I brought my blade above my head. I mustered all of the strength I could, and slammed my firey blade down on the enemy, causing an eruption of blue flames as we landed. "What the... am I... Ike?" I looked down at my hands and the sword I carried. It was definitely Ragnell, Ike's sword from Fire Emblem. People always said I looked like him. I always assumed it was just because of the blue hair. Now I wasn't quite sure. Something bounced away from my enemy and landed at my feet. A mask? It looked oddly familiar... |

Dammit... I jumped off of my horse attempting to catch the soldier that was thrown at me. I caught him but the force of the throw tossed me to the ground. I threw one hand down, letting go of the soldier to catch myself with my hand. As my hand, touched the ground, I pushed off with it, swinging my legs into a backflip. As my hand touched the ground before I flipped, Haji's doppleganger landed in front of me, blocking the Uesugi soldier from attacking me. I sheathed my sword and dashed past Haji's doppleganger, going towards the right of it, hopefully using it to block myself from the view of the Uesugi soldier. If I successfully, pulled in I would attack. Souryuusen! I pulled my Demonic Lightning Blade out of my sheathe swiftly, and attempted to slash across the Uesugi soldier's side with my lightning covered blade, careful not to shoot out a blast of lightning.

I charged into the fray atop my horse after shouting to my fellow comrades. My fighting style wasn't suited for riding, so I had to switch things up a little bit. I pulled my sword from it's katana and switched to a whip. Using just the bladed whip, I lashed out at any and all opponents around me, hoping to slice them in half with my blade-whip. I was careful not to get too close to my comrades.
Delving deeper into the enemy ranks, I pulled my whip blade back into a katana form. Sliding it down, I attempted to slash the enemy soldiers as I road past them. Turning around, I would attempt to sweep any of the ones I had forgotten or missed.

I tried to focus on the blood-thirsty one towards the back, but instead I was distracted by a couple pirates charging at me. I ducked the first one’s horizontal slash. Souryuusen! I drew my blade from the sheath with amazing speed, slicing the man in two. I would then side step the next one that charged at me, RYUUKANSEN! I did a 360 spin, using the momentum to help me slice the next one in two as well. As a third one came at me… the entire boat shook and he fell to the ground. I ignored the shaking and stabbed downwards, stabbing the fallen man in his brain… killing him as well.
“What the hell…”
I then looked over. It appeared that the blood-thirsty one had shot the boat I was defending… As I looked on I could see dead bodies amongst the wrecked deck of the other ship. Dammit… I was the one that told them to go below deck… This was my fault. I turned back towards the blood-thirsty one glaring, just in time to see him kill his own Captain. The other pirates seemed to part to either side to move out of our way.
“You… You were working with them… WERE THEY NOT YOUR COMRADES?!”

I took his hand and stood back up onto my feet. I retrieved my hand and rubbed the cut. It was shallow enough that it didn't bleed much but it stung. Yukimura returned to working once more and I could tell from the clouds that rain was on the way. I quietly walked back to the pile of wood boards and handed him another one.
"We're gonna have to work faster if we want to cover that hole before it starts raining."

My eyes widened as he spoke. Haji had never told me about his life like this before. He was right dammit... I couldn't wallow here in self pity. Instead... for some reason it just made me angrier. I let go of his wrist and his collar.

A white flash of light went through my eyes as I felt rage overcoming myself... Almost lost everything? ALMOST LOST EVERYTHING?! I grabbed his wrist tightly with my left hand as my right shot out to grab his collar as well pulling him in closer.
"WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN ALMOST?! I HAVE LOST EVERYTHING HAJI! MY PARENTS! MY SIBLINGS! HELL MY ENTIRE CLAN WAS KILLED WHILE I COULD DO NOTHING BUT FLEE! I HID FOR YEARS OUT WEST! I COME BACK AND I CAN'T EVEN PROTECT ONE VILLAGE?! THEN TELL ME! WHAT THE HELL HAVE WAS I TRAINED FOR?! WHAT THE HELL HAVE I BEEN FIGHTING FOR HAJI?! BECAUSE IT SURE AS HELL FEELS LIKE NOTHING!"

I took the bottle of sake. At this time I didn't even bother to keep up appearances and pour it into a sake cup. Instead I took the entire bottle to my mouth and taking a deep swig of it. I needed this to get through the time that I couldn't be out fixing this village. There should be no rest till I was done... but unfortunately the village forced me to rest.

I braced my self as the cannons fired, ducking down low as the shots tore through the sails of my own ship. The ship spun out spinning into a circle. I acted quickly, jumping onto one of the masts. I climbed up it as quickly as I could and held on for dear life as the back of my ship slammed into the larger one, causing a decent deal of damage to them both. I would use that moment to jump from the mast of my ship, jumping down onto the other ship. I drew my lightning sword and pulled it above my head as I came soaring down onto the other ship. RYUTSUISEN! I slammed it down onto one of the pirates heads, slicing them into. I turned then and gave the rest of the crew a sharp glance.
"Back away now, and I won't... hafta cause you too much trouble."
Quickly, I resheathed my sword, still holding the hilt. I turned sideways to face the rest of the crew, ready to react at a single moment. My eyes darted through the crew trying to get a feel of them... I got an ominous feel from the man with the red eyes. This feeling... was it blood lust? No. I was just feeling paranoid since this was my first job since I left. My grip on my hilt tightened as I held my sheath with my left hand.
