Haji would wake up in his home, just like usual! Though - and this was likely the weird thing - Katsumi was nowhere to be found. In fact, his entire home looked... different. It was in terrible shape. The wood was rotting, and the door had long since fallen off. Haji was also covered in sand and mud along his legs and back.
Outside, the village was... practically no longer existent. The rest of the huts were decaying as well, most with their walls smashed in. Every single one was empty, and not a soul could be found. The air was dry, the soil dead, and the sun beat heavily down upon Haji, which would hint at the fact that he didn't even have a roof anymore.
Just where was he, exactly?

Brandt would find the merchant had a lot of goods, some of which were extremely rare and valuable. From just one glance, the giant could tell he was going to come into trouble once they got to the Shinano border, since that seemed to be the bandit central.
"People around here say you're good, so I'm counting on you to keep my things safe. They're worth more than my life, you know."
A rather pompous man, the merchant was short and pudgy, evidently living off other peoples' ignorance and taking advantage of the chaos of Nippon. That said, he didn't seem like an entirely bad man.
"Well, uh... shall we be off?"

But I'd like to see your characters start doing stuff, if this is Wataku/Solewari/Iyatoshi/Tsukeru. I assume it is because of the matching IP, so I'd just like to say, get some of your characters out into the RP for real, man.

Shou would find that the rod did not blend in with him! Instead, it stayed normal, set aside the area he was holding. It was as if the rod was floating, and there were large holes in it!
"What the..." the first guard turned, speaking quietly enough so none would hear him. He just stared down at Shou's rod. The other four guards moved further down the hall.

LEADERSHIP As you could probably tell, Leadership is the proficiency which dictates just how good of a leader you are! As you go up in rank, it's more likely people will follow you, and high enough ranks will even let you become a Daimyo! Neat, huh? D - A D rank in Leadership basically implies your character has some basic knowledge when it comes to taking charge in any given scenario. They won't be perfect at strategy, and it's far-fetched they'd be able to turn a losing battle of 100 vs 1000 into a winning battle for the smaller army, but you won't be entirely helpless. There's a good chance you could persuade some Normal-rank NPCs (10 in all stats) to join you, if you phrase your words right. Though, this NPC party is not permanent. C - This Leadership rank is the first useful for players who aren't exactly aspiring to be Daimyo any time soon. Once you reach the rank of Leadership C, not only are you more likely to get followers, you can command a small, permanent army of troops to fight alongside you! These can be troops in your faction, or even a band of mercs if you're unaligned! To get your troop total, take the average of your Strength and Wisdom, and then divide that by two, rounding down if rounding is applicable. Whatever number your left with is how many troops you can take around with you! E.G. Takehiro has 33 Strength and 33 Wisdom. The average would be 33, 33/2 is 16.5, 16.5 rounded down is 16 troops. These troops have 10 stats straight across, and receive whatever faction bonus you do. They do NOT have items that give stats. You may say they have a weapon or armor, but it does not increase their stats by any means. These troops can be trained, once per month. Throw up a thread and tag it [Group Training]. It would be a solo-RP thread consisting of five (5) posts of medium length at the minimum. Higher post counts and longer posts will lead to better rewards for your troops! B - This is when you get the chance to become a Daimyo! Having a B rank in Leadership (along with 30 base Str or Wis) will allow you to rule your own faction! Once you gain your own faction, troop sizes grow (refer to Raise Your Banner), and you have more training opportunities for your factions! You are also more likely to have people unaffiliated with you follow your lead, such as gaining the trust of bandits/villagers who would otherwise not act. A - If you are not a Daimyo, reaching this rank gives the men you follow all a permanent +1 to every stat. On top of this, when you do training threads, you are guaranteed an extra +1 to every stat for your troops, minimum. Daimyo get the best bonuses from this rank. Normal troops all receive +1 to every stat, Exceptional troops all receive +3, and Commanders all receive +5. On top of this, they are guaranteed those bonuses from training threads at the minimum. For all players, Daimyo or not, this doubles the amount of troops you personally gain. So, for non-Daimyo, this means you can lead a group of men/women equal to the average of your Strength and Wisdom. For Daimyo, this means every 1 in your average is 6 troops, every 5 is 2 exceptional troops, and every 10 is 2 commanders. You become a person people will follow given the right word-choice. You are looked up to in these times, and it becomes easier for you to incite chaos or quell it. S - S rank leadership is very similar to A rank, only better, mostly for Daimyo. Non-Daimyo players get a permanent +3 to all stats of the troops in their small army. The minimum they will receive from training their army is also +3 to all stats. Daimyo armies receive +3 to all stats for Normal troops, +5 to all stats for Exceptional troops, and +7 to all stats for Commanders. On top of this, your troops-per-point doubles once again. Every 1 point in your Str-Wis average is 12 normal troops, every 5 is 4 exceptional troops, and every 10 is 4 commanders. People begin to follow you seemingly without question. Whether you are a beacon of light or the harbinger of destruction, you will gain followers, be it through fear or virtue.

Toshi spit on the ground as Yukimura fainted, aggravated with the man's weakness. He expected so much more from him having invaded. He dug his spear into the ground, taking the unconscious Takeda man by his sides and put him over his shoulder. Upon the horizon, he could see a cloud of dusting forming by what he could only assume was Takehiro's arrival, and he immediately knew what he was going to do.
Takehiro and Toshi were going to march on Kofu.

As Yukimura developed this new-found speed, he would find that Toshi was less than surprised. It may have been faster than most could see, but his eye was well-trained, and he was only slightly faster than the ex-Bandit Chief himself was normally. Even then, he had to deal with the immense dehydration, which was going to weigh him down.
Almost immediately after Yukimura uttered the second syllable of his final word, Toshi's hand would shoot forward and take him by the throat, gripping him tightly while also stealing all moisture from that area. With a battle roar, he would throw Yukimura up into the air and through the roof of the building. Toshi would then jump after the man's body with enough momentum to catch him and take him to the ground. His spear would pierce Yukimura's flesh on the underside of the right shoulder, and would dig into it when the man hit the ground.
"Then you will feel the repercussions of your actions in full force."
He felt no sympathy for the Takeda soldier.

[OoC: Quest handed over with admin permission. As Toshi is one of my NPCs, it makes more sense I play him.]
Yukimura would find the heat would not melt the blade, serving instead to only heat it up! Extreme heats were used to temper weapons, so his tactic would not prove fruitful. As well, when he created his pillar of flame, he would find it quickly dissipating, the moisture in the air becoming thicker and preventing the flames from spreading. Because of this, the doppelganger would not be able to come out, but Toshi would still allow the man to get to his feet.
"A declaration of war has long since passed. You came into our lands, striking first with clearly very little knowledge of who your enemy was." He gritted his teeth, clearly angered by this man's pompousness. "I assume, then, it would be all fine and well if we went through Shinano and beat down your villagers, but only took one life? Do you think that would be fair? Is that not a declaration of war?!"
The moisture in the air would revolve around Toshi's blade, effectively cooling it and making the steel stronger, as Yukimura's heat only removed impurities from the blade. The man of Takeda would begin to find himself feeling very dehydrated, unbearably so.

Kyojin, despite his strength, was incapable of knocking it over! Ryuusei also did very little to budge it, and it whipped around in anger to knock the two away, kicking Ryuusei in the chest rather hard! It seemed to not want to hurt Kyojin, however!
Before the two could do much, they could hear the sound of horses galloping nearby, and the boar let out a mighty roar, a dagger flying through the fog and striking it in its side.
"There it is! There's the monster!"
Men would begin to charge it, as if aiding Kyojin and Ryuusei, though they intended to kill it!

The Oda attack force had an incredible advantage, slaying hundreds of Imagawa soldiers in a matter of moments! Shou assisted with his shadow daggers, preventing the enemy from properly seeing anything they were doing, and Katsuie was slaying all who held the armory in very little time at all! This was going incredibly smoothly!
The Uesugi-Date reinforcements got very little done, though Mikhael was able to knock Masahiro off his horse. They had to decide if it was worth it to fight alongside the Imagawa, though, as - despite numbers - this battle looked like one they were highly likely to lose!
Haruyuki would find that the only way he would be hidden, is if he left the battlefield! The three points the Oda were attacking formed a triangle which made up the border of the camp, and the Armory was on one! If he intended to get around to Yoshimoto this way, it was likely the Oda forces would have already taken the armory before he could prove to get anywhere!
Imagawa troops started retreating toward the main camp in great numbers! Stop the runners before they alert the main force!
Imagawa Troops: 2460 Total 800 Dead
Oda Troops: 120 Total 0 Dead

Stat caps will not be touched. This is not a stat cap discussion.
Changes that will be made so far:
1) Numa Castle requires a minimum of 50 posts to enter. Any dungeons with players under 50 posts will be locked until they all reach 50 posts. 2) Parties will be required for all dungeons. 2-4, a minimum and a maximum. 3) Stats on items will be nerfed. +6s will probably change to +5s or +4s. 4) Powers will be stripped on a lot of items. A lot of powers on these items are really OP, and I failed to consider how they'd make characters grow in power so quickly. This was my fault. 5) Loot in dungeons will be based on the amount of players. There will no longer be a set 16 chests in the maze, for example. We're looking at 3-4 chests per person tops. 6) Lootable enemies will decrease in number. 7) Add-ons are likely to be abolished from the dungeon, aside from the one from Triple-Platinum (Mark of Numa). 8) As it stands, I don't entirely support double-dungeon runs. I'll have to say NO but if anyone wants to combat that they're welcome to. I'll listen to any and all points. 9) Destroyed loot will not be lootable. I.E., melting/shattering the knight's armor means you can't take it. 10) Items will gain stat requirements to wield. 11) If I can find the 1-100 dice plug-in, we're looking at drop-rates for possible rewards.
This is all I have right now, off the top of my head.

Kyojin was able to take the boar's head-on charge, its tusks crashing into his hands and its face into his stomach. His feet would be pushed through the dirt, though his firm stance and strength seemed to eventually work! From such a close distance, Kyojin could see tears in the boar's eyes!
Ryuusei's Odachi struck into the side of the boar, and it let out a roar, rearing back and sending Kyojin into the air a good few feet, before whipping around to the side and ramming its nose into Ryuusei's chest!

Kyojin and Ryuusei would hear a thunderous roar that sounded like it did not come from a human, and the sound of hooves crashing into the ground coming from all around them. The people in their homes could be heard screaming, but there was almost nothing the two Takeda men could see to tell them what was coming.
Suddenly, the sound of the hooves would stop. And, without a moment's notice, Ryuusei would be thrown into the air by a large beast, who would then charge at Kyojin!
The beast was an enormous boar, that seemed fitting to be called "Demon"! On all four legs, it was almost as tall as Kyojin himself, and it was strong enough to break through a castle in a single charge. It had four tusks, two on the left and two on the right, though the two on the right were broken, and the two on the left were chipped.

So, as I mentioned before, I'd be putting these up. The way this will work is simple. Just fill out the form and PM it to me or Kenshin, titled "Helper Application" and I'll review it, discuss with staff, and if you're what we're looking for, you'll receive a PM telling you something like "Hey yay we want your help woohoo." That sound fun? Awesome, here's the form.
Characters Played: Simple enough. Lemme know who all you play. Time Joined: Woah, hard questions! When did you make your first account? Or, more importantly, when did you become an active member? What Can You Contribute: What do you have that we need? Experience? Ideas? Let us know here. Why Do You Want To Be Staff: Simple enough question! Give us your reasons.
Please note we'll take into account your activity and contributions to the board when you apply. Thanks, guys.

Small changes are all you need to make and you'll be good to go.
1) We use the Family-Name-First thing on the board, so it'd be Minamoto Iyatoshi, if you don't mind. 2) The Mori are actually thriving at this year, and following board canon, they will continue to be thriving for a loooooong time. Most of the war, unless players change that. So the detail about them being a dying clan kind of makes things seem a little convoluted unless it's only personal perception on the clan, in which case it might be alright. 3) Iyatoshi is INCREDIBLY tall for a Japanese guy, which isn't against the rules, but I'd like some sort of explanation. Recessive genes, European blood in his family, a sort of "disability" that made him grow to be so large. Even "He was said, due to his size, to be born with the blessings of the God of War, Bishamonten himself."

Kyojin and Ryuusei would arrive at the village, and as its name suggested, it was surrounded in fog! Things were incredibly quiet, neither confirming nor denying the rumors. There seemed to be no people outside, and what homes the two could see were destroyed by the beast of legend.
