LEADERSHIP
As you could probably tell, Leadership is the proficiency which dictates just how good of a leader you are! As you go up in rank, it's more likely people will follow you, and high enough ranks will even let you become a Daimyo! Neat, huh?
D - A D rank in Leadership basically implies your character has some basic knowledge when it comes to taking charge in any given scenario. They won't be perfect at strategy, and it's far-fetched they'd be able to turn a losing battle of 100 vs 1000 into a winning battle for the smaller army, but you won't be
entirely helpless. There's a good chance you could persuade some Normal-rank NPCs (10 in all stats) to join you, if you phrase your words right. Though, this NPC party is not permanent.
C - This Leadership rank is the first useful for players who aren't exactly aspiring to be Daimyo any time soon. Once you reach the rank of Leadership C, not only are you more likely to get followers, you can command a small, permanent army of troops to fight alongside you! These can be troops in your faction, or even a band of mercs if you're unaligned! To get your troop total, take the average of your Strength and Wisdom, and then divide that by two, rounding down if rounding is applicable. Whatever number your left with is how many troops you can take around with you!
E.G. Takehiro has 33 Strength and 33 Wisdom. The average would be 33, 33/2 is 16.5, 16.5 rounded down is 16 troops.
These troops have 10 stats straight across, and receive whatever faction bonus you do. They do
NOT have items that give stats. You may say they have a weapon or armor, but it does not increase their stats by any means.
These troops can be trained, once per month. Throw up a thread and tag it [Group Training]. It would be a solo-RP thread consisting of five (5) posts of medium length at the minimum. Higher post counts and longer posts will lead to better rewards for your troops!
B - This is when you get the chance to become a Daimyo! Having a B rank in Leadership (along with 30 base Str or Wis) will allow you to rule your own faction! Once you gain your own faction, troop sizes grow (refer to Raise Your Banner), and you have more training opportunities for your factions! You are also more likely to have people unaffiliated with you follow your lead, such as gaining the trust of bandits/villagers who would otherwise not act.
A - If you are not a Daimyo, reaching this rank gives the men you follow all a permanent +1 to every stat. On top of this, when you do training threads, you are guaranteed an extra +1 to every stat for your troops, minimum.
Daimyo get the best bonuses from this rank. Normal troops all receive +1 to every stat, Exceptional troops all receive +3, and Commanders all receive +5. On top of this, they are guaranteed those bonuses from training threads at the minimum.
For all players, Daimyo or not, this doubles the amount of troops you personally gain. So, for non-Daimyo, this means you can lead a group of men/women equal to the average of your Strength and Wisdom. For Daimyo, this means every 1 in your average is 6 troops, every 5 is 2 exceptional troops, and every 10 is 2 commanders.
You become a person people will follow given the right word-choice. You are looked up to in these times, and it becomes easier for you to incite chaos or quell it.
S - S rank leadership is very similar to A rank, only better, mostly for Daimyo.
Non-Daimyo players get a permanent +3 to all stats of the troops in their small army. The minimum they will receive from training their army is also +3 to all stats.
Daimyo armies receive +3 to all stats for Normal troops, +5 to all stats for Exceptional troops, and +7 to all stats for Commanders. On top of this, your troops-per-point doubles once again. Every 1 point in your Str-Wis average is 12 normal troops, every 5 is 4 exceptional troops, and every 10 is 4 commanders.
People begin to follow you seemingly without question. Whether you are a beacon of light or the harbinger of destruction, you will gain followers, be it through fear or virtue.
