For some reason my computer crapped out. The monitor just stopped working, so I can't see the cbox, as I'm on my phone. May or may not happen again, but I'm leaving this here so no one thinks I'm ignoring anyone.

The year is 1560. The country is in turmoil. Countless warlords have taken it upon themselves to reunite the war-torn lands, and they have amassed armies to do so. This has given rise to such great Daimyos as Oda Nobunaga, Takeda Shingen, and Uesugi Kenshin.

Intent on making his name known, Oda Nobunaga has taken up arms against the powerful Imagawa Yoshimoto. This battle is to be one of the deciding factors in the course of the country's future. The Fool of Owari had barely taken the reigns of his province, and his ambition fueled him.

The Takeda and the Uesugi have a long-standing rivalry, having waged war on each other constantly for the past seven years. As the Oda and Imagawa begin to face off in a decisive battle, so too do the Takeda and the Uesugi, each intent on crushing the other. These powerful forces will bring upon the world a bout which would shake the planet to its very core.

This is where you come in. How will you help to shape the future of Japan? Would you help the Oda see to the Imagawa's demise, or would you assist the Imagawa, and eliminate Nobunaga, the most ambitious and powerful daimyo, before his rise to power?

Japan, the war-torn country, can be molded by you. All you need to do is seize the opportunity.

You may play as original characters in the Sengoku period! Your actions will affect the plot!

Brandt's tactic was successful! His whirlwind tore apart those who rushed at him initially, and the explosive on his shield took out another three! The burst he got from shooting forward also allowed him to cleave the remaining three in half!

In place of the ten, five of the ethereal valkyries would rise up, this time with wings and javelins. The five took a good distance between themselves and the Nord, and once they were about thirty feet away, they began launching ethereal javelins in his direction from all sides!

Ethereal Valkyries:
20 in all stats

Main Force: The main force would mow through the first wave of Imagawa troops with no issues, easily dispatching around 3000 with little effort. The Oda officers began to tear the camp apart, setting huts ablaze with sake-bombs and shooting down any who attempted to flee. Nobunaga himself ignored most enemies, heading straight through the camp to search for Imagawa Yoshimoto and claim his head. Brandt would find one of the Imagawa soldiers charging in his direction, and it was a man who seemed to match his size! Shoji would find an archer across the battlefield aiming a bow straight for him!

Armory: Each soldier who was at the armory would find themselves bolstered by the contents within it, receiving an item from Katsuie to increase their abilities. On top of this, they would find no issues charging into the camp, mowing down any who got in their way with ease! As they proceeded further into the camp, they would see they had the chance to link up with the main force, or head south and search for Yoshimoto!

Supply Depot: The Amakusa-Oda forces would mow through most Imagawa soldiers, but before most could make it to the main camp, they would be held back by a cloak of shadows that covered their entire area! Amakusa-Oda troops would begin to fall left and right, and Toshiie ushered everyone into a conglomerate, where they would be more likely to survive, having their backs protected.

"Ninjas... damn it."

From all around them, the Amakusa-Oda forces could hear the sounds of chains dragging along the ground, and most of the footsoldiers would fall to their faces, dead.

Hattori Hanzo Encountered:

Musou: Hanzo can create a cloak of shadows that spans two yards for every one Spr. Any opponents caught in this cloak of shadows are unable to see more than two yards in front of them in their Spr is lower than his. Hanzo can warp anywhere within this cloak of shadows while it is summoned. Cloak lasts one round per five Spr.

Weapons and Armor not revealed. All who are in the cloud of darkness cannot see more than two yards in front of them.

Takehiro: The Daimyo of Totomi was able to leap into the main camp and slew a good deal of footsoldiers with no issues! Before his spree could go on for too long, however, he would find his glaive parried by another, and he would be pushed back several yards! Standing before him was a large man, taller than any Takehiro had ever seen.

"For the sake of my lord, you will fall here!"

The giant of a man charged Takehiro, swinging for his waist, kicking up a mighty whirlwind as he did so!

Naotora: Naotora's rampage would allow her to decimate a good portion of the Oda troops! Her onslaught would be halted, however, by the interruption of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, who would charge and block her balls, sending them straight into the ground to throw off her momentum. Wordlessly, the large man drew back his fist and sent it flying straight for Naotora's face! As he did, a mighty whirlwind followed, threatening to send her flying!

"Brandt Solveig," a voice would start as a shape seemed to take form in front of Brandt. The wind and sand would gather into a single mass, forming an effigy of Bishamonten. The God of War looked down upon the Nord, towering a whole four feet above him.

"You have been chosen."

Wordlessly, the being disappeared, and all around Brandt, weapons would begin to levitate. Fifteen swords would be thrust at his waist from all sides.

Surrounded on all sides, your force is in danger of being wiped out completely. Your supplies have almost run out, and morale is declining. Some officers are even on the verge of defection! You must overcome the enemy, and keep your soldiers on your side!

Objective: Leading a small army (troop counts below), you must fend off an even larger army through whatever tactics you deem necessary. Keep your troops from defecting, and claim victory in this battle!

After few long moments of waiting, the storm would finally begin to dissipate. This was the signal that the attack would begin. A grin crept upon the lips of the Demon King as he and his forces charged toward the Imagawa Main Camp, their forces dashing down the hill and clearing it in no time at all. Any Imagawa soldiers who'd noticed the Oda forces were slain immediately, as they had no time to react, and Nobunaga made his way toward Yoshimoto specifically.

Wordlessly, one rank on either side of the main force would split off and begin to surround the camp. Their goal was to close it off and crush the forces without giving them any opportunity to run.

If you've played Dynasty Warriors 8 (XL or not), you'll be familiar with these classifications. If not, they'll be explained anywho, so you won't need to have played 'em!

But, here's what we're thinking: Implementing character classifications that make each character have a unique feature only 1 in 4 will have. These classifications will add a new depth to character combat, and also provide a new use for Spr so it's not a solely Spr stat. The classifications are as follows:

Classifications: Characters would be classified based on their preference.
Whirlwind: (If you've played DW8, think Lu Bu, Zhang Liao, Taishi Ci, etc.)
For the heavy hitters, mostly for people who wield two-hands. As a whirlwind type, you would be permitted (for one round per 10 Spr) to summon a whirlwind around your character every other hit. This is to increase the range of your attack, and affect more people when you otherwise could not. Damage of whirlwind is equal to 1/2 Spr + Str (without weapons)

Dive: (Guan Yu I think is a Dive, but I think he's the only one I've played)
For really slow characters, or glass cannons. As a Dive type, you would be able to (one round per 10 Spr) have your character back out of being hit by a combo they could not logically dodge. Should the opponent's Spr by higher than the user's, they still suffer damage equal to the difference in Spr (ONLY when the opponent has at least 2x the user's total Spr) but get out of the combo.

Dash: (Zhu Ran, Zhou Tai, Sima Yi, etc.)
For speedy characters, like archers and ninjas. As a Dash type, you gain the ability to (one round per 10 Spr) defy the laws of physics, and utilize a second jump midair. The height and length of the jump is determined by your Spr stat.

Shadow Sprint: (Gan Ning and others like him)
For light warriors, or anyone who's looking to pack an extra punch. As a Shadow Sprint type, you gain the ability to (one round per 10 Spr) utilize a quick attack immediately after using a power attack with Str equal to your Spr stat. Example:
"Takehiro would take his glaive in both hands and slam it into the ground with all his might! With a sudden burst of speed, rather than be left open for an attack, the Daimyo would spin his weapon around and strike with the butt-end of the glaive!

Toshiie's men rode on the lookout and claimed it, just as the Amakusa men slew the patrols, preventing the Imagawa from being alerted! Keisuke and Naotora would fall unconscious, and Jina would ride away from the battle field just as the storm seemed to dissipate. This was the time to take the main camp, and it was pure luck they'd taken the supply depot just in time!

Jina would find that, by the time she circled around, the main battle would have already begun, so she had to choose to fight or flee!

Shou would find that him being as careful as he was was reward enough itself! Any guards who traveled to the stables would be redirected by a strange light force that made them believe it was Shou, when in reality it was Izanagi himself allowing the man to get away with the Takeda soldiers. Shou and the men would begin their ride back to Shinano, and though it would be a long one, it sure beat walking!

"Your selflessness will do you well in these troubled times, Young One," a voice spoke directly into Shou's head. And then it was gone.
