Conquering the Swamp [Dungeon|Open]

[Morei Haji]

I got punched in the face. "HA! I GOT--.." I got punched in the face again. IF YOUR OPPONENT HAS 1/2 DMG, JUST PUNCH HIM TWICE, RIGHT?! THIS GUY GOT IT.

I fell back, clutching my face through my mask, hoping my nose wasn't broken. Luckily, I wasn't dazed whatsoever, this mask was really something! While Yukimura was busy keeping Rider-sama distracted, I would run for our weapons, grabbing Yukimura's Spear of Much Stabbiness and aimed to impale the Rider from behind in the spine.

[Shinomori Katsumi]

Katsumi was really starting to hate these skeletal opponents. Grumbling, she decided to try for the spine, shooting at it multiple times. Maybe with enough hits, it would break!

"Die already," she hissed, not wanting either her friend or lover getting hurt anymore by this bastard.

[Oda Nobunaga]

[Oda Nobunaga]

Takehiro: Proceeding along the path, Takehiro would come to a fork! To one side, there was a blue vortex, similar to the one he ran through before! To the other, there was another pathway! Before Takehiro could decide which way he was going, he would feel a firm kick on his back, shoving him up against the wall in front of him! He was surrounded by six Crawlers, each raging quite ravenously!

Group: Not many of the group's endeavors would play out in their favor, if any at all, here! Rather than roll past the Rider, Haji would be met with a powerful kick to the face, pushing him backward instead! Yukimura would find his hip actually impaled, the blade ripping through his skin, as the Rider would take his whipsword back and kick Yukimura to the ground! Katsumi's arrows would be deflected by him, and one of the swords would point toward her, the blade shooting out to impale her bicep!

[Amakusa Takehiro]

Takehiro cursed, his body slamming against the wall. Quickly as he could, he would push off it, taking his glaive in both hands and swinging it in a wide arc, looking to cleave the heads off the crawlers all in one single swing! If he missed any, he would step forward and slash in the opposite direction, for good measure!

[Sanada Yukimura]

Letting out a roar of pain as his hip was impaled, the whip sword taken from him and he was kicked to the ground, he would try to get to his feet and while holding his hip with one hand, would try to rush past the rider on the opposite side Haji was on and try to get behind it and grab his spear, at which point, he'd try to impale the rider in the spine. Repeatedly.

[Morei Haji]

I got kicked in the face before I could get behind the guy, and it really sucked when you couldn't get dazed to at least block out some of the pain. I looked over to see Yukimura get impaled, and my eyes widened. "SANADA-SAN!"

As the rider brought his hand up to extend his blade to stab Katsumi, I would jump up, going for that same hand, attempting to wrestle the blade from his hand before turning it around on him and stabbing his spinal cord from the front. I prayed I was successful. If I failed to get it from his hand, I would attempt to get distance from the rider before he stabbed me too.

[Shinomori Katsumi]

Leaping to the side, Katsumi would dodge before dropping to the ground. Yukimura was hit, but she had to worry about herself right now, and defeating their opponent. And her shots needed to improve and so she knelt, Katsumi inhaling sharply and shooting again, aiming to pull off the same multiple attacks on the spine, before jumping back up and staying light on her toes, preparing herself to move at any given time.

[Oda Nobunaga]

Takehiro: The maneuver was successful! ... Kind of! Three of the monsters would find themselves slain from the first swing, and one from the second, leaving two Crawlers! One flipped in front of Takehiro, feet striking his head and slamming it down! The other would repeat, bringing the merc to a knee!

Group: The maneuvers were somewhat successful! Haji diverted the Rider's aim as Katsumi dodged, so she would not be stabbed! Though, rather than take the blade or redirect it, Haji would be met with a very strong elbow to his face! The Rider turned as Yukimura struck and Katsumi fired, their combined efforts instead taking out one of his arms!

[Amakusa Takehiro]

Takehiro fell to a knee, but would act as quickly as he could, considering their blows felt as if they only tickled. Gripping his glaive tightly, he would swing it in an arc, looking to take their legs out so they were no longer effective! From there, he would impale their heads one after another, tossing the second of the two through the portal, jumping after it, and landing on its stomach for good measure!

[Sanada Yukimura]

With one of the rider's arms taken out, Yukimura would try to steal its whip sword. From there, he'd try to impale its spine again with his spear repeatedly, while using the whip sword as protection.

[Morei Haji]

My attempts failed, and I instead received an elbow to the face. MORE FACE PAIN. BUT AT LEAST I SAVED GIRLFRIEND-CHAN.

Rearing back in pain with my hands over my face now, I looked over and saw my weapon nearby. I quickly went for it, and if I was successful, I would bring that blade to the rider's neck, attempting to decapitate him.

[Shinomori Katsumi]

Good for them! And about time! Finally, a blow was made and one of the creature's arms were taken out, but Kat's eyes widened at seeing her lover being elbowed in the face. At this point, Katsumi saw red at seeing her Haji repeatedly attacked like that, and she began a barrage of arrows, attempting to hit its spine again and again, and she slowly drew nearer, about ready to scramble on top of it and bash its fucking head in if it hurt Haji again.

"DIE, YOU FUCKING SON OF A BITCH!" she yelled uncharacteristically, raging at the creature.

[Oda Nobunaga]

Takehiro: As the final crawler was slain, it would bite at Takehiro's neck, taking out a chunk and severely wounding the mercenary. He would stumble upon landing through the portal, and if that situation didn't scream "bad," this next part did, since it seemed the maze itself wanted him dead: He would hear a woman's voice shouting "DIE, YOU FUCKING SON OF A BITCH!" It sounded as if it was coming from the very walls themselves! Oh, and there was a fork. Left or right.

Group: The Rider slammed its foot back right into Yukimura's face, before whirling the whipsword around in a small arc. It would wrap tightly around Haji's neck, and the boy would be thrown backward, toward Katsumi! He would crash into her, sending them both to the ground! Not to mention, her arrows would have hit him in various spots along his legs an arms after being thrown, and he would begin bleed profusely! The Rider leaned down, reconnecting his upper and lower arms at the elbow!

[Amakusa Takehiro]

"DIE, YOU FUCKING SON OF A BITCH!"

Takehiro shrieked like a little girl, though he quickly felt woozy. If this maze was out to get him, it wasn't going to take him like this! He'd pull out one of those magical rice cakes and down that fucker, trying to get rid of the bleeding on his neck as soon as possible.

"DO YOUR WORST, YOU FUCKING WHORE!"

He would charge down the fork, making a left, glaive in his hands!

[Sanada Yukimura]

Taking a skeletal foot to the face, it only hurt half as much as it should've, but at least he wasn't dazed. Only problem, Haji was all the way over where Katsumi was, leaving him by himself. Awesome. He'd try to grab Haji's weapon and carrying it on his back, would try AGAIN to impale the rider in the spine.

He really hoped this worked. Please Dice ;^;

[Morei Haji]

Feeling that whip around my neck, I felt myself unable to breathe as I was thrown backwards. I suddenly felt sharp pains in my arms and legs before feeling myself crash into something, and I found myself near Katsumi. Looking down, my arms and legs were torn open, it seemed her arrows had missed their mark. I got shot by my own girlfriend.

"Agh... Katsumi... you need to run..." I pleaded with her as I felt the blood drain from my body. The worst part was that I didn't even have my weapon with me anymore. Gritting my teeth, I mustered all the strength in my arms that I could in order to draw my sakabato. At least if the guy attacked, I could defend myself.

[Shinomori Katsumi]

Haji entered her tunnel vision, and Kat's eyes widened sharply at seeing her arrows entirely miss their mark and hit him instead. His body collided into Katsumi's, but there was no pain from the impact. She was devastated by what she did to him, and cried out loudly, despairingly, "HAJI-KUN!"

Panic instantaneously filled Katsumi and she held Haji against her, seeing blood flow from his body. Tears streamed down her cheeks and a hand dived into her back, removing a large rice cake. Some merchant said it healed wounds and Katsumi had questioned it before, but seeing them work on the others earlier made her change her mind. Right now she had to save Haji, and so the archer brought it to the man's lips.

She was choking up, sniffling, and her hand cupped his cheek. "I-I'm s-so sorry, Haji-k-kun. Please... p-please eat this... B-Be o... okay. I'm so sorry!"

Never before did Katsumi hate herself more than in this moment.

[Oda Nobunaga]

Takehiro: Takehiro would find the path was a straight one that would lead to treasure, which he would reach uninhibited! The rice cake also healed him up, and the wound on his neck closed up! He was all safe, PLUS he got some more loot!

Group: The spear would pierce the Rider's spine, severing it! It fell to the ground, and it let out a shriek! As its mouth opened, Yukimura would hear, "DO YOUR WORST, YOU FUCKING WHORE!" It sounded... a lot like Takehiro! But, the monster was currently legless! Now was their chance to... do things!

[Amakusa Takehiro]

Takehiro would cheer at the new treasure chest, but he would open it cautiously. If this place was going to yell at him, how did he know it wasn't out to kill him? But, if it was safe, he would take that loot, put it on if he could, and then rush back to where he came from and proceed along the other path, since this one seemed to be a dead end!

[Sanada Yukimura]

As Yukimura heard the rider let out a shriek, the words that came from its mouth sounded awfully like...

"Amakusa-san?"

He would not pause and wonder about it though, and wasting no time, he would try to drive the blade of his spear into the skull of the rider before lifting it up and send it slamming into the nearby wall, hopefully smashing it and destroying it.

"THIS IS FOR BOTH MOREI-SAN AND HERRRRRRR!"

If he was successful, for good measure, he'd stomp the legs of the rider to pieces too, before grabbing some of the equipment and weapons left behind.

[Morei Haji]

"Hey... stop crying..."

Katsumi was now holding me while she was crying. Why did she have to cry? That made this so much harder. Sure, I was bleeding out, but as the life drained from my body, I didn't need to have this heartbreaking scene in front of me too. My hand came up to brush her cheek and wipe some of those tears away. But those tears showed that someone cared for me deeply enough. Maybe dying in the arms of the one you love wasn't such a bad way to go...

And then she shoved a rice cake into my mouth. She was crying and shoving food in my mouth. Before I knew it, I started to feel a little better. My wounds began to close up, and I wasn't losing blood anymore.

"I... uh... what the..."

I looked down, noticing that while my blood stained the floor, I could move my arms and legs better now. I wasn't in tip top condition, but I wasn't going to bleed to death at least.

"AHH THANK YOU, KATSUMI-CHAN!" I would practically pounce on her and hug her tightly and smother her with kisses before realizing that Yukimura was still nearby. And the Rider kind of was too. "Ahem." I quickly got to my feet, pulling a rice cake from my robe and placing it in Katsumi's hands to make up for the one she used on me. "I'll make up for the scare, my love!" I shouted as I ran back towards Yukimura, sakabato raised. If he was unable to finish the rider off, I would smash my weapon into that skull repeatedly until it broke.

And if we were successful, I'd grab one of them awesome whip swords and maybe one piece of loot or two because dibs.
