Conquering the Swamp [Dungeon|Open]

[Shinomori Katsumi]

Never had Katsumi felt as guilty as she did at this very moment. Tears slipped down her cheeks, falling onto Haji as she cradled him close to her chest. What had she done? How could she possibly have fucked up so badly? She loved Haji with the entirety of her being and trusted him wholeheartedly. Finally, there was someone in her life that both gave her love and she could trust, and that meant the entire world to the archer. Katsumi could not bear to live without him now, and her heart and stomach clenched tightly. In fact, she felt terribly ill, sick with herself for what she had done, even though it was all a terrible accident.

The amount of self-hatred and despair didn't leave despite his words, and it was only until his wounds began to heal that her tears began to let up in the slightest. Her small hands cupped his cheek, thumb stroking over his flesh, searching to make sure he was alive. She didn't have much time to recover or search, as suddenly Katsumi toppled onto the ground, eyes widening as Haji quite literally glomped her. He held her tightly and there was a barrage of kisses, and a deep blush coloured her cheeks as her heart fluttered. Haji was okay!

She didn't care about the rider or Yukimura at the moment, all but forgetting about them, and after Haji stopped, Katsumi pulled him in for one last, deep kiss. Wiping away at her tears as she pulled away, the woman sniffled and there was a smile shimmering within her brown hues, the smallest of ones pulling at her lips, the corners twitching.

"I really thought... I had... killed you..." whimpered the girl, biting down on her bottom lip. "I would... I would never have forgiven myself if I had, Haji-kun. I... I love you too much."

Hugging him again, she suddenly felt something being placed in her hand and Kat pulled away. Looking down, the archer blinked and arched her brows. A ricecake? There really wasn't much more time to evaluate her feelings or thoughts at the moment, as Haji jumped up and bounded off, sword in hand, towards the enemy.

A few more blinks passed, Katsumi pausing, in a bit of a daze, before shaking her head and muttering, "I... I d-don't have time for this, damn it."

Pushing herself up, Katsumi would turn towards the three and wait, seeing if she, in fact, needed to do anything at all. But her bow was in hand and emotions and thoughts in check just in case...

Takehiro: Takehiro would find another path, with a fork on the right. Just ahead of him, however there was a treasure chest! As he neared it, he would hear a horse neighing! Looking back, he would see... another Rider!

Group: The Rider shot out his whip swords, taking Yukimura by the neck, and Haji by the leg! Whipping them together as hard as he could, the two would fly toward each other, chest-bumping so epicly that they would both be in immense pain! And they kind of bumped wieners! The Rider's legs would wiggle along the ground, reconnecting with his spine. He seemed super pissed!

[Amakusa Takehiro]

Takehiro was excited, jumping and clicking his heels at the sight of even more treasure! He didn't even look down the path, he just took off toward the treasure! Just because he was cautious, though, he looked back, and saw... a carriage of death?! WHAT THE FUCK?! He cursed running toward the treasure as close as he could. Once he was right in front of it, he would whip around, taking a knee and holding out his glaive to impale the horse and stop the carriage in its tracks!

[Sanada Yukimura]

His hand immediately holding onto his spear reaching up as the whip sword wrapped itself around his neck, he would fight in vain to get it off, but his effort was for naught, as he was sent flying straight into...

"MORRRRREEEEEI-SAAAAAAAAN!"

Falling to the ground, clutching at his chest painfully and groaning in pain, not to mention his little friend down there extremely unhappy, a look of dread would form on his face as the rider reconnected himself, and looked super-piss.

"OHHHHHH SHHHHIIIITTTT!"

Quickly scrambling to his feet and pulling Haji's blade off his back and quickly tossing it over to him, Yukimura would fight through the god awful amount of pain his body was in, every part of him literally screaming at him, and would try to get into a pincer formation with Haji, Yukimura trying to impale the skull of the rider with his spear.

[Morei Haji]

So much for my heroic charge into battle. No sooner had I arrived had a whip wrapped around my leg and sent me flying up into the air, straight into...

"SAAANAAADAAA-SAAAAAAAAAN!!!!"

Our chests collided painfully, and I felt all of the air leave my body. Crashing to the ground, I coughed, trying to catch my breath. There was also a pain in my lower region, and I feared that my descendants would be nothing more than a mere dream at this point.

The Rider began to reform his body, and I had never seen a dead guy look so angry before. "OH COME ON!"

Yukimura tossed me my weapon back, which I was thankful for. Struggling to my feet after that initial collision with Yukimura, I would take a short moment to regain my composure before aiding him in his attack. While Yukimura attempted to impale the skull, I would slash at his spinal cord, attempting to cut him in two yet again. If successful, my blade would come back around to stab into the rider's hand and impale it to the ground before he could get another whip off. If unsuccessful, I would detach my blades just in case he pulled one of them away, attempting to defend myself.

[Shinomori Katsumi]

Katsumi's eyes widened at seeing the whips wrap around once more and the two men were slammed hardly against one another. Gritting her teeth, the archer aimed her bow right as they fell on the floor and began to fire at the exposed neck of the skeleton in quick succession (it looks exposed to me, I hope it's exposed. If not then uh.... back to the spine, someplace exposed idk.) If her three strikes would hit their mark, she would dash forward, dropping to the ground and using the blade of the bow to try and sever the legs. (If not, FIRE AWAY, unless Haji or Yukimura get in the way! Dx)

This mother fucker REALLY needed to die after putting her through all of this, and range didn't feel good enough right now. She wanted justice! Even if that may not be the best idea /sigh

Takehiro: The glaive would impale the charging chariot, and the horse and carriage faded in a mist of darkness! As the mist dissipated, Takehiro would find himself being tackled by the Rider, who brought him to the ground! It would immediately begin hammering fists down upon his face!

Group: The Rider would strike with his blade, deflecting all of the arrow fire! As Haji and Yukimura got to their feet, Haji's weapon would be knocked to the ground! Yukimura would find a whip wrapped around his foot, tugging his leg, causing him to land on his back! Haji would receive a firm kick to his chest, once again propelling him in Katsumi's direction!

[Amakusa Takehiro]

Takehiro was about to cheer, but then he found himself getting smashed into the ground! The Rider began wailing on his face, and he really felt like those punches should have hurt a LOT more than they were. He wasn't about to complain, though - the mercenary would quickly send a right straight for the fucker's face, and then his left fist would strike it's boney, exposed ribcage! 'cuz FUCK SKELETONS! Not like we need 'em or anything!

[Sanada Yukimura]

Finding yet another whip wrapped around him, this time wrapped around his leg, Yukimura would feel his leg being tugged, causing him to land on his back. Letting out all the air in his lungs just before his back said hello to the floor, he would thrust the blade of his spear towards the rider's hand, to try and sever its hand and hopefully make it drop the whip sword that was wrapped around his leg.

If he was successful, he'd then quickly scramble to grab the whip sword and use it for his own.

If he wasn't successful, he'd try to yank his foot back and send the rider off-balance.

[Morei Haji]

As my weapon failed to even reach me in time, my face looked kind of like this. Before I could do anything, I got kicked in the chest, hard. The air once again left my chest, but through the searing pain I was still able to shout...

"I DON'T HAVE 1/2 DAMAGE ON MY CHEST, YOU BASTAAAAARD!"

... colliding right with Katsumi. I'm sorry bb </3

I would climb back to my feet after ensuring she was okay before drawing my sakabato and just chucking it at the rider's head in anger, hopefully breaking that fucker.

[Shinomori Katsumi]

For fuck's sake! Katsumi's eyes widened sharply at what unfolded before her, and then Haji who came flying towards her. Taking a step back, she was able to sort of catch him, and he would fall to the ground as she stumbled backwards, nearly falling on her ass as well. But Kat was able to keep her balance and stood up straight, waving Haji off.

"Go, Haji! Careful!"

Gritting her teeth again, she would basically keep firing at the same fucking places as before (spine, whatever) and hopefully this will FINALLY fucking work, like it fucking SHOULD. JFC!

[Oda Nobunaga]

Takehiro: The mercenary's fists collided with the Rider, shattering his skull and ribcage and sending his body flying back in a mess of broken and destroyed bones! If there was any life left in it, that life was very minimal at best! He could safely get that treasure, now!

Group: Yukimura would find his tactic unsuccessful, and the Rider rose its blades, looking to impale him! Before it could, however, Haji's blade flew against its skull, crushing it and causing it to fall back! Katsumi's arrows would hit their mark, burning through its neck and spine, causing it to fall over! It finally stopped moving!

[Amakusa Takehiro]

The mercenary stood to his feet, spitting on the Rider. Fucking dick, punching him in the face and shit. Angrily, he'd kick its foot, then he'd go and loot that damn treasure chest to see what was inside of it, and if it was useful, he'd take it. For good measure, he would slam a fist into the Rider's everything, before taking anything useful it had and then proceeding down the hall, and going through that turn he didn't take earlier!

[Sanada Yukimura]

"Morei-san? Shinomori-san? Would it be wrong of me to say I love you both? That was a sweet save back there you two."

Literally feeling his soul just about float away as he was about to be impaled a second time, for good measure, Yukimura would slam his spear into the rider repeatedly just to make sure it was dead dead, before letting out a sigh of relief as he laid out on the floor for a good couple minutes, to let his heart settle back down. After his heart was beating at a normal pace again, he'd climb to his feet and pick Haji's blade up once more, placing it on his back, before taking anything useful from the rider that was left behind, including one of the whip swords, making sure to leave some for Haji and Katsumi to take as well.

[Morei Haji]

"I love you too, Sanada-san. No homo."

I let out a small light-hearted laugh after realizing we were all safe. It may have been tough, but what mattered most is that we were all okay right now. I only hoped that Takehiro was doing just fine on his own, because taking all three of us to take down just ONE of these guys was ridiculous.

Taking a moment to relax as well, I'd retrieve my sakabato and sheathe it as Yukimura had grabbed my weapon for me. I started to look over what the Rider had on him as well, salvaging anything that looked interesting to me WHIP SWORD. There was a lot to pick from, but I didn't want to hog it all to myself.

"See anything you like, Katsumi-chan?" I felt she deserved the first pick, having saved both of our butts back there.

[Shinomori Katsumi]

FINALLY! They killed it, and Katsumi felt a surge of satisfaction, although it wasn't quite enough yet. Striding over to the skeleton, she stopped her foot, crushing the pelvis, before kicking at the ribs, all the while growling lowly and grumbling to herself.

Fucker.

Eventually, all of that was out of her system and she released a sigh, dropping to the floor and sitting down. The love discussion made Katsumi visibly uncomfortable, and so she didn't comment, instead replying with, "... You would have done the same for either of us, Sanada-san."

The archer was quite satisfied with her new bow and items, and shook her head when Haji spoke. "I can simply take what remains. Go ahead, Haji-kun."

In all honesty, she was more interested in any items that would help increase her speed and wit beyond anything else, and would simply take whatever remained after the other two nabbed what they desired.

Takehiro: The mercenary would walk out with a new pair of armguards from the chest, as well as all of the Rider's loot! He would feel yet another surge of strength rush through him! He would feel like he could take on mountains! And as he made that turn, it would seem he was reunited with his group!

Yukimura: Yukimura would receive one of the whip-swords, as well as a pair of greaves!

Haji: Haji would receive the second whip-sword, and a tasset!

Katsumi: Katsumi would get the Rider's shawl, as well as a small piece of jewelry it held!

The group would notice Takehiro come from the turn in their path!

[Amakusa Takehiro]

Takehiro felt fucking fabulous, here. He was all decked out in new clothes and jewelry, he felt like a king! Or queen. Whichever is more fabulous. And as he stepped out from the path, he would notice his group, a huge smile on his face.

"Hey, guys! You would not believe the sheer luck I've had in here!"

He observed the spot they were in, and then looked down the path. Seemed there was only one way to go, so he just started walking!

[Sanada Yukimura]

"Amakusa-san? When did you- Are you wearing earrings?"

Yukimura staring blankly at the sheer gaudyfabulous look Takehiro was sporting, he was wondering just how much treasure Takehiro had found, and compared to how beat up the three of them looked, he looked like he just went through a Daimyo's treasure room and came out the other door covered in jewelry. Breaking out of his stupor, tossing Haji his blade back to him and picking up his new whip sword and greaves, he would follow after Takehiro down the path with his spear held in front of him, the man a walking jewelry of sorts, considering how much he sparkled.

[Morei Haji]

"Eh? Take...hiro..." My voice trailed off, seeing Takehiro walk in looking completely geared out like he had just run an epic dungeon or something. Fully decked in armor, battle axe on his back, and earrings to top it all off. He had the time of his life while we were afraid our lives were out of time.

"That's cool... we almost died." I said a little grumpily, catching my blade as Yukimura tossed it back to me. I murmured a thanks as I followed along, sticking close to Katsumi as I equipped my fancy new whip sword and tasset. We were being led by possibly the most badass man in Japan now. Maybe his good luck would rub off on us.

[Shinomori Katsumi]

As Katsumi knelt on the ground, she put on the piece of jewelry and cloak. Just as she stood up, Takehiro came in and she blinked. He was wearing even more new gear (and jewelry) and looked pretty much unscathed. So he made it out like a fat cat while the three struggled fighting for their lives?

Her eyes narrowed and flames of irritation couldn't help but lick at the walls of her belly. Part of it was that she felt so damn useless with everything that had happened, even a disgrace, and seeing someone be so successful on his own... well, it simply pissed her off and made her feel even more inadequate. And that was a feeling she had fought and dealt with her entire life.

Instead of say anything, she simply glared coolly, gaze like ice, swinging her crap on her back, and stomped away, seething inside. Oh how her fingers twitched on her bow, but Takehiro was a teammate and a good associate. She wouldn't REALLY do anything, or even consider it. Her emotions simply flared within her, and Katsumi was working on containing them, controlling them.

Right now she needed to be as far away as possible and so she fell to the back of the group. It shouldn't seem suspicious, considering being a ranged fighter, and so she hoped to grumble internally without any prying or questions.
