Conquering the Swamp [Dungeon|Open]

But it wasn't Takehiro and Haji who were endangered by the holes coming down. Her eyes narrowed as she caught sight of a chain coming down and then numerous large birds came flying from them... straight for Katsumi and Yukimura.

"Tch! Shit!" she hissed after brown hues widened and narrowed again. Taking a few steps back, Katsumi would quickly begin firing, shooting at as many birds as she possibly could, wanting to take as many down as possible.

This was her element. If Kat couldn't handle this, she didn't deserve making it out of here alive.

Tak/Haji: The group would find themselves in front of the chest in little time at all! They would notice a pressure plate next to the spikes around the chest!

Yuki/Kat: Katsumi's prowess with the bow would shine, here! As the birds soared toward the group, she was able to take them out in droves before they could even reach them! Yukimura would not even need to use his spear, as every single bird dissipated in a mist of darkness!

Because of the noises of the traps, Takehiro couldn't make out the latter portion of what Haji said. He only heard "I, uh... yeah," and that made his eyes widen.

"What?!" He shouted, his feet crunching down on that pressure plate. "I was kidding! You're serious?! He's a she?! Well WHAT THE HELL IS HIS/HER NAME?!" Without much thought he would take the chest in his hands and shove it into Haji's, still wide-eyed. Then, it'd settle down, and he'd just laugh.

"Ah, whatever. Not like it makes a difference." Oh, boy. That was weird.

Completely blown away at Katsumi's prowess with the bow, he knew she was good, but damn, now he knew just HOW good she was. I think he just fell for her a little. Lowering his spear, clearly not needed, since this WAS where she shone, he would keep an eye out for any more birds to come from the ceiling, swapping his spear out for his whip sword, forming it into its whip form, but not before applauding her display.

"Oohhh."

"I.. I.. I.. I.. I mean.. that is.."

I began to stutter on my words as Takehiro began to shout about Katsumi really being a woman. Even more so with him randomly shoving the chest into my hands. I began to scoot back towards the others with the chest in my hands.

"Takehiro... are you sure you're not on opium again?" I would ask, attempting to change the subject. I'd feel like Katsumi would be pretty upset if I gave away her identity, even by accident.

I made sure to watch my movements carefully as I walked back towards the entrance, moving past any ceiling traps with proper timing or ducking below any arrows as I walked, chest in hand.

Katsumi really did shine at this, sparkles practically glittering around her and rose petals magically floating around her, dark locks in its ponytail waving in the air, as the archer brought down each and every single bird before they even reached Yukimura and her. She was entirely focused, swiftly shooting at them, and making quick work of them. No longer seeing anymore birds, Katsumi took a step back and her fingers ran through the hair on the top of her head, brushing her side-swept bangs back, and drying off the slightest glisten of sweat across her flesh.

At hearing faint clapping, Katsumi blinked and glanced over at Yukimura, who seemed to be staring at her in... awe? Shifting a little, the girls brows furrowed a bit and she glanced away, murmuring a little shyly, not used to such a display, "Uh... wh... what are you d... d-doi-... It... it was... n-nothing."

Coughing a bit nervously, not sure what to do, Katsumi turned back around and continued searching for more enemies and watching out for the others.

"We should, uh... keep... keep focused. Yes."

Before he could step off the plate, blades would shoot up around Takehiro, locking him in. If he stepped off of it, he would be impaled on all sides! On top of this, the speed of all the traps tripled, and the walkway Haji had left was INCREDIBLY thin!

At the entrance, Yukimura and Katsumi would have to deal with large chunks of the ceiling falling down!

Haji's stuttering told Takehiro everything. Even if the merc was joking, it seemed like his statement held some sort of truth to it! Hiroshi was really... a woman!? Or maybe not, that was logical too. It could have just been a weird statement. Before he could get any words out, however, spikes shot up all around him! This damn pressure plate locked him in!

"HAJI! GOOO!" Takehiro shouted as if they were at the climax of a really bad action movie! "And tell your girlfriend it's okay!"

Admittedly, Yukimura got a little amusement out of seeing Katsumi's reaction to his compliment. But all traces of amusement disappeared the moment large chunks of the ceiling started falling down on them!

"OH YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!"

Swinging the whip around in a circle above his head as he would dart around the room, to knock any debris aside and avoid getting crushed, he would do his best to keep Katsumi safe, because he was pretty sure Haji didn't want to come back to a flattened girlfriend.

I would hear clicking and notice Takehiro got trapped because of the plate he stepped on.

"TAKEHIAWWWWFUCK." My speech would turn halfway after noticing all of the traps in the room tripled in speed! "SANADA-SAN! WHAT DID YOU DO?!" I shouted back towards the entrance, trying to steel my will to get through these traps. But THE GOD DAMN PATH WAS NEARLY COMPLETELY GONE NOW!

Gulping, I would duck, crawling along the floor and dragging the chest with me as the arrows whizzed above my head. I would continue this until I reached the ceiling trap, at which point I would lay on the ground and wait to get an opening. But three times the speed was friggin' scary. Taking a deep breath, I would dive for it the moment the trap hit the ground and began to move upwards, crawling as fast as my little body could take me and hopefully making it across. I would continue to crawl until I passed the rest of the arrows, and then stand when the coast was relatively clear, carefully walking the rest of the way and hoping I didn't fall or drop the chest, until I was back with the other two.

A small gasp came from Kat's parted lips as the very ceiling began to freaking FALL ON THEM! Looking forward, she cried out to Haji and Takehiro, "Please... hurry! And watch for the ceiling when you get here!"

Quickly moving into action, Katsumi began to dash about, jumping away from falling debris, doing a few athletic moves here and there. With her speed and particular skill in, well... dodging, it was almost as though she were dancing, and occasionally she would use the blades of her bow to knock away some of the pieces that came too close.

As Haji neared the entrance, the chest would be ripped from his hands and pulled through the dark void! As it was, the traps disintegrated and every member of the group was pulled into the entrance, forcibly! A loud shriek, louder than the others they heard before, would fill the entire castle, before everything fell quiet. It was as if the spirit of the castle had died.
