APPEARANCE

Physique: Adrian is a very tall, well-built man, as is a result of 10+ years of training. He is athletic and muscular enough to be an excellent fighter, while not being so bulky that he's awfully slow. Adrian's hair is black and mid-length, not going past his neck. His eyes are a light brown, and have a certain kindness to them.

Attire: Adrian is commonly seen in silver, ornate armor. He wears a silver helmet that covers everything but his face. He looks like a medieval knight rather than a samurai, and this appearance reflects his upbringing. His armor isn't exactly shining, because what knight who has experience in battle would have shining armor?

PERSONA

Normal
Generally, Adrian is a figure who practically demands respect just from how he acts. He is a very calm man who treats the people around him politely, and is sort of seen as a benevolent warrior who always aids the weak. He is very friendly, although isn't the most talkative man at times. If someone destroys order, however, he shows a darker side in his efforts to cut down those who harm the innocent or who would otherwise disrupt peace.

In Battle
Adrian maintains his calm, even in the heat of battle. He tries to keep a level head as to not make any foolish mistakes that would allow his opponent to get the best of him. However, he strikes with a ferocity that doesn't match the calmness on his face. The anger he feels is instead transferred to his opponent through his spear, rather than showing on his face.

Friends
Adrian treats his friends with utmost respect, and is a little more open about personal affairs with them. He will not hesitate to help out a friend in need if they require assistance. Around friends, it's one of the rare times that someone can actually spot Adrian smiling and laughing happily, if the conversation is a happy one.

Enemies
Around his enemies, Adrian still attempts to maintain that same calmness. However, if it's a much hated foe, Adrian will be struggling not to lose his cool. He will not show a true villain any mercy, and will strike with absolute vigilance in an attempt to completely obliterate his enemy.

Superiors
Adrian treats his superiors with respect, never talking out of line or disobeying an order. The person that he holds the most respect for in the land is Azai Nagamasa, and never questions his Lord's motives. There may be times where Adrian will find his orders conflicting with his own personal feelings, however, and will be unsure of how to proceed.

Subordinates
Adrian isn't any less respectful to anyone of a lower rank than him. He knows what it is like to start from the bottom, and believes that it is best to uphold camaraderie within his forces. However, he is not afraid to become strict, even to the point of seeming intimidating, if that is what it takes to spur his men into action.

Family
While his family is all the way in Europe, Adrian was rather open with his foster parents and one of his sisters. His sister was the only one to whom he could truly open up to without any fear his secrets and feelings being betrayed. He constantly misses her, and is unaware of his family in Japan for the most part.

Lover
Although he has never truly been in love, Adrian is very likely to treat the woman he ends up with with a lot of respect and passion. He is the type of man to dedicate his life for the sake of protecting and making her happy, even at the cost of his life itself. He does not know if he will meet a woman such as this, however.

COMBAT

Preferred Weapon: Spear or Javelin.

Fighting Style: Adrian utilizes many straightforward attacks, aiming to pierce or impale his targets in an attempt to end the battle quickly. He is not restricted to this, of course, and thus is not adverse to lots of sweeps and wide slashes with his spear should the situation call for it. He is also adept at throwing his spear and striking a target from a distance. He usually does not do this unless he is sure his target will be struck or he knows that he won't be without his spear for too long. Without a weapon, he isn't any less brutal, going for attacks that would generally incapacitate any foe quickly. He does not aim to kill, thus aiming to pierce non-vital areas, but would not hesitate if he has no other choice.

BACKGROUND

Born as an illegitimate son of the Morei family when the head of the clan slept with a foreign woman who later sailed back to Europe, Adrian Morei never knew his birth father, and doesn't remember much of his birth mother as she died when he was little. He was adopted into the famed and noble Marluxia family of Europe, spending most of his life in Transylvania. He was a boy with a most promising future, receiving an education far greater than most as well as combat training from an early age. He trained vigilantly, and spent whatever time he wasn't training to use for studying instead. He was a youth who excelled in every area that was expected of him, and was well suited to be an heir to the family. He was often looked upon with discontent by his siblings in the family, however.

He traveled all across Europe, seeing and learning new things. He picked up on many languages in his travels, having always been a quick learner, and thus he was always able to communicate with those he met in some form or another. He saw different cultures, different people, different ideas, all of it moved him. Adrian held a great interest in meeting people, in learning their life and hardships, broadening his mind to the suffering of the people, which was quite unlike someone of his standing.

It was one fateful trip to England that showed him just how much people could suffer when the nobility overlooked the poor. He saw entire towns in disarray, people starving, the elderly sick, and children dying, and it absolutely shattered his heart. He wanted to change all of this, wanted to make the world a place where no one would suffer anymore. Overtime, Adrian grew to believe that it was possible if the world held more order to it. If there was order for people to follow and abide by, and no one could simply walk over the less fortunate anymore, then the world would be one that was at peace.

At the age of 20, he returned to Transylvania once more. He dedicated himself further to his training, wanting to grow even stronger. It was around this time that there was a rebel uprising in Transylvania, and Adrian was called upon to defend the house of Marluxia. Fighting the rebels with his spear in hand, he came across an interesting one known as Macht Stärke. This man was a mercenary hired by the rebels to fight for them, and was one who particularly gave Adrian a hard time. Being on even grounds, neither fighter gave way. Regardless, Adrian stood his ground and allowed none of the rebels to breach the Marluxia house, effectively quelling the rebellion. He swore that Mackt would be a face he wouldn't forget, as the two did not fight with bloodlust in their hearts, and the challenge was a welcome one.

Training harder than ever over the next three years, Adrian would set out to travel once more once he had heard the truth of his birth from the family who adopted him. It was shocking to find that he wasn't of Marluxia blood, but he accepted it quietly. He knew now why some of the family scorned him, and would not accept him as a true heir despite how capable he was. With a heavy heart, he traveled to Japan, wishing to learn more of his true origins and possibly to find his real father.

His travels would lead him to Omi, hearing of Azai Nagamasa, a man possibly more honorable than himself. After proving his strength, Adrian was accepted into the Azai. He spent the next two years serving them with utmost dedication, believing that they could help him with his goal of maintaining order in the world. Adrian sees Nagamasa's views to be ideal, and fights with both body and soul to ensure that they will come true. Now a vassal to the Azai and with war on the horizon, Adrian feels like he will need to prove his strength more than ever.
