"There they are! Burn the place down! Take the women, and all of the valuables! Leave no man standing!"
The group of bandits, 21 men strong, charged toward the village, each wielding a katana. They will reach the village in the next round.
"All able-bodied men, to arms!"
The village Elder stood at the edge of the village with ten men, each also wielding katanas. They weren't Samurai, they were just men looking to protect their families from these bandits.
Village Description: The village community itself was small, but it was a farming community, making their land expanse fairly large. There are no walls around the territory, and it is located in a plain, by the river. The "entrance" is marked by an arc crafted of wood.

(OOC: Siding with the village.)
Clad in his samurai armor, his spear held loosely by his side, Yukimura had been out on a casual stroll, to clear his mind and regain his focus, when he had stumbled upon a village that was on the brink of a raid by bandits. That, and to get some peace and quiet. He loved his older sister-in-law dearly, but even he could only take so much of her doting on him, her husband's baby brother, to a point, before he needed to get away. After hearing the call to arms by the village Elder, he stood at the fore-front of the group of ten men that had gathered to protect their village and family, his eyes set on the horizon.
A battle was on the rise...

[OoC: Siding with the bandits.]
Takehiro is a mercenary, so he goes where the pay is good. These bandits were about to launch a raid on a small village, and they needed a bit of extra muscle, so here he was, charging alongside them. Normally, he wouldn't really support something like this, but he was informed the men of this village had wronged the bandits. And, well... Karma's a bitch.

[[OoC: Siding with the village. Why the hell not~?]]
Katsumi wasn't a woman of morals, but she had not been raised to be. Now that she was on her own, she made money like her father had, living the life he taught her, expected her to live. She knew nothing else. No other way. Kill. Make money. It was as simple as that. Whether the ones making the payments were unsavory or not... well, that didn't particularly matter. She just needed to eat. But this time the ones offering the most money happened to be the savory type.
Her brown hues glanced about the village, sliding over the village men (and their lack of ability and appearance caused her to internally scoff) before falling back to her bow, which rested on her lap. She was smoothing it down whilst sitting on a barrel near the entrance of the village, and then Katsumi began sharpening the heads of her arrows, keeping her hands busy before the battle. Raising her hand, she briefly lifted the sleeve of her men's black kimono and scratched at her arm, before the woman masquerading as a male went back to what she was doing.
Inhaling deeply, she closed her eyes and rolled her neck, cracking it. Her brown locks were held up in a high ponytail, tresses gently waving down her slender back. Revealing her hues once more, she glanced up from her work, narrowing her eyes. With a sigh, Katsumi stood up and readied her bow and arrows, awaiting the fight that should be starting any moment now, and she was more than ready.

(( Siding with the Bandits!))
So THIS was what it felt like to be on the other side of this particular equation. In his old life, demonizing bandits was easy when you were the sheepdog that kept the wolves out, But to see them now? Filthy, aye, but though soldiers may be forgotten, their skills were not and these men had nothing else but their martial skills to earn a living. Deserters, wounded veterans, there were all types within this gaggle of barely clothed men who stormed towards the Village like wolves to a kill.
He didn't like this. Didn't like the idea of spilling the blood of simple villagers, but Amakusa-san had a point. Only a fool said no to easy money. A Decent payout for some simple muscle work.
And it had been quite some time since Kamaitachi had last been able to eat.
His twin Sickles in hand, the Chain wrapped around his wrists and drawn taut across his back, The man with the mischievous green eyes kept pace beside his unlikely traveling companion alongside of the rampaging mob as they descended towards the village.

[OoC: Participants may still join after this post, but they may only do so after Kamaitachi posts.
Post order: 1) Sanada Yukimura - Village 2) Amakusa Takehiro - Bandits 3) Shinomori Katsumi - Village 4) Yoritomo Tetsuo - Bandits 5)
The bandits made their charge, effectively reaching the entrance to the village. Twelve of the nameless men would charge the front, and the other eight would split into two groups and make their way around the perimeter of the village, aiming to pillage and plunder while the soldiers of the village were preoccupied. Ten of the bandits would enter combat with the ten village soldiers, and the other two made a charge toward Yukimura and Katsumi.
Yukimura: The bandit charged, aiming to thrust his blade through the Samurai's armor and run him through!
Katsumi: The bandit charged wildly, quickly gaining distance. He held his blade above his head, and was ready to slash it down upon the archer's skull.
The Bandit Chief hung back, watching his men, weapon at the ready. The Village Elder made his way back into the village, to attempt to deal with the eight men who'd begun to ransack the village.

With spear in hand, Yukimura would swing it in a tight horizontal arc, to try and counter the bandit's thrust, as his spear would hopefully collide with the katana and stop it dead in its tracks, preventing it from reaching it. He would then try to shove the bandit backwards while simultaneously rolling his spear off the katana's edge and then try to bury the blade into the bandit's stomach, before ripping his spear free and effectively disembowel him.

Takehiro would have been a part of one of the groups who'd veered off to the flanks of the village. He would make his way through rather easily, as all the main forces were currently pre-occupied. The other bandits would begin their pillaging, and he would serve as their guard, keeping watch, and keeping them safe.
He had to admit, this wasn't entirely sitting well with him, but a job is a job, and apparently there was good reason for this. He'd done worse before, though, so it wouldn't keep him from sleeping well, that was for sure.

And the fight had begun. Men were charging towards the town, and the men of the town towards the danger. She stayed her ground, being paid to not protect the men, but the village itself. Katsumi caught sight of the bandit charging her, and she quickly cocked an arrow. Taking aim, the mercenary fired off a shot hopefully before the man reached her, attempting to hit him square through the head to stop him dead in his tracks, and so that she could move on to other targets.

By the looks of it, the village forces had concentrated on the front gate. Foolish. Very foolish. Already Amakusa-san had circled one way around the village and bypassed the hero's entirely. Time for the sickle weasel to do the same. Despite having hands metaphoricaly soaked in blood, the less that blood is of innocents the better.
So around the opposite side of the village he would go. Bounding up a huts wall with absolute sure footedness as he ran alongside his own small team of bandits, providing overwatch from above. Hoping that the villages one sole archer was too distracted to try and take a shot at him.

((OOC: Siding with the villages))
Masaru was wandering around, searching for some fun. Masaru climbed a tree, so, he could see clearly. He sat on a branch, and he noticed something, a village. Masaru jumped from the branch, and went to the village. He entered the village, he felt something weird, a tense air around him. He saw some men stood beside the village elder, he approached the village elder, and the elder told him everything. Masaru grinned, and decided to help the village.

With the bandit taken down, Yukimura would quickly kick up the katana he previously wielded and take it for his own, as well as the sheath, tying the sheath and katana onto his back, allowing for easy access should he require it. He'd then move towards the villagers fighting against the ten remaining bandits, to try and strike down any bandit that was nearby, so the villagers could quickly head back into the village to defend it.

Takehiro immediately rushed toward the new villager who burst from the hut. He attempted to meet the man's charge, catching his strikes with his spear. If successful, he would deflect the man's blow and strike him in the stomach with the butt-end of his spear. As a follow-up strike, he would rotate the spear, bringing his arms around in a circle and striking the blade of the spear into the man's forehead.

The surprise attack caught the young warrior completely off guard as he was pulled down through the roof and slammed bodily to the ground, his breath exploding painfully from his chest.
Lucky for Kamaitachi, his sickles were still within reach thanks to the length of chain that connected the two handles together. With the chain also wrapped around his wrists, he didn't even need to be holding his sickles for them to be deadly.
Raising his right arm, he twisted his wrist to loosen the chain and began to twirl the sickle in the air like a lasso. If his opponent didn't act quickly, the peasents tool would rake its blade deep across his face.
If the gauntleded man chose to leap back, Kamaitachi would release the chain, sending the sickle out towards the man in the hopes that the chain would wrap around his throat, using the sickle as a weight. All it would then take would be a single firm tug to knock the man off balance before spilling his guts open with one slash from his other sickle in his left hand, which he easily had recovered thanks to Yoritomo pragmatism.

The man fell and Katsumi took a step back, immediately grabbing another arrow, dark hues searching for any nearby enemies. Ahead, the people were further off and she was about to fire at the closest bandit when there was commotion from behind. Eyes narrowing, the woman swiveled around, heels digging into the earth, and she caught sight of bandits on the rooftops.
Of course. Put the brunt of the group at the front as a distraction to allow a smaller skilled group to slip into the enemy territory. Katsumi shouldn't have been so foolish. Her father would have certainly beaten her for such insolence, for not paying closer attention. If the village leader died, she wouldn't get paid, and that just wouldn't do. Katsumi was hungry and really needed the pay.
Clenching her teeth, the woman's arms dropped to her sides and she began to run forward, dodging around scurrying members of the village. Skidding to a stop, she lifted her bow and readied it once more, closing a single eye and aiming at the bandits who were deeper within the village. Hopefully the others could handle the ones at the front, although she didn't have much faith in people.
Someone fell through a roof, but Katsumi ignored it, aiming at some of the others who were still at the top, heading towards the village elder. Inhaling deeply, the archer, if able, would attempt to fire shots at the bandit group within, either singular or in a succession, depending on the number and their location.

Masaru talked with the elder, but the elder retreated, suddenly, two of the bandits inside the village had charged toward him, each aiming to stab their katanas into Masaru's side. Masaru was surprised, he decided to use his katanas to block the attack. With some confidence in motion, Masaru unsheathed his katanas, he attempted to block the attack from the bandits, if he failed, both of his arms would bleed. He raised his katanas, and hoping it would block the attack. His heart was beating faster.

Yukimura: While Yukimura had been tying the sheath to himself, two of the villagers at the front had been bested and slain! This freed up two bandits, who both charged at Yukimura!
- 2 Villagers
Takehiro: The two were caught in a deadlock! Takehiro would win (1/2(Str + Dex) vs 1/2(Str + Dex)), causing the villager to stumble back. The strike to the sternum was successful, but the overhead strike was parried, sending Takehiro's balance off! The villager then swung both katanas in a wide arc, aiming to decapitate the mercenary!
Katsumi: The closest two bandits Katsumi could find would be the two attacking Masaru - but only one was in her line of fire, unless she opted to attack her possible ally! Her arrow would soar and catch one of the men in the shoulder, knocking him to the floor and rendering his arm useless.
Kamaitachi: The bandit responded to the attack quickly! His left forearm was held in front of his face as a guard, while his right hand shot up to catch the sickle as it flew. The bandit stepped forward, wrapping his arm around the chain, and sending a powerful left straight toward Kamaitachi's face!
Masaru: Masaru was capable of blocking the attacks from both sides! However, this left his strength divided! The two bandits would kick his legs out from under him, though one of the two bandits fell victim to arrow fire just after. The remaining bandit aimed to strike him on the ground and impale him through the chest.

Well THIS was interesting.
This man was no mere villager. Was he Muscle as well? Either way he was going to have to be cut down. Kamaitachi could already tell this gauntleded man would tear through the remaining bandits if allowed to live.
On thing was in his favor though. The hand of which the Man caught his Sickle..... With those Gauntlets, Kamaitachi quickly concluded him to be a striker. With his opponents right hand tied up with the Sickle and chain, that left an attack from the left. he would also have to step forward to attack Kamaitachi, which would mean slack would be given on the chain.
Time to go to work then.
As the man stepped forward to strike, Kamaitachi quickly flicked the length of chain that connect the two warriors into a loop that would hopefully wrap itself around the Fist fighters striking arm he would then duck under the mans strike and then drive his left shoulder into the mans guts, hook his left arm behind the mans knee and then LIFT him up into the air and toss him over his shoulder.

The moment he saw the two bandits charging towards him, Yukimura would quickly finish tying the sheath to his back while simultaneously charging towards the two bandits and ease into a slide, to try and slash the legs of one of the bandits with his spearhead while simultaneously tripping the other bandit up with the spear staff. If he succeeded, he would then come to a stop and quickly climb to his feet, facing the other bandit he had tripped up.

Takehiro was surprised at the man's quick thinking. He had to have been trained - no way he was just common rabble like the rest of the villagers.
The mercenary ducked in the same direction his spear was parried and attempted to get low enough so the swords would pass just over his head. At the same time, he would rotate counter-clockwise, spinning the spear and aiming to jam the blade into the man's sternum. If successful, he'd twist, before ripping it out and disemboweling him.

One of the men was not in her line of fire. At least not safely. If she tried to shoot at that one, she would have hit one of the men on the side of the village, her side. So she aimed at the other bandit, hitting in square in the shoulder and knocking him down. Her eyes narrowed, disappointed in herself for not making a kill shot.
[[I'll let you decide which happens since I'm unsure of what is more realistic. I don't want to just assume she can hit the guy before he makes a strike if he's already striking down.]]
Her fellow teammate, of sorts, fell onto the ground and the other bandit was in her sights. Hopefully she could make her strike before he could finish the man off, and so she cocked another arrow, drew the string back, and fired, aiming right for the bandit's center. Maybe she couldn't kill the other one (and with him down and her on the ground, it wasn't like she could finish him off right away), but Katsumi was hoping to permanently keep this bastard down.
OR (this one will likely happen eventually, regardless)
Being on the ground wasn't safe. Not for her, a woman of range and little strength, and so she quickly made her way to an opposite building of the man she shot down. There were a few crates stacked on top of one another, and the petite and light woman clambered up them. She started to lift herself up, glancing about and making sure nobody could strike her down from on top of the roof. If it was safe, she would finish the climb and start to get up on her feet, searching for any nearby enemies.

Masaru was surprised, he fell, and a bandit was aiming his sword toward him. Masaru must act quickly, he rolled his body to the right. Although, it's quite a success to avoid the attack. Masaru's left arm was injured, the edge of the sword gave a medium cut mark. Masaru took a few steps back, his heart was beating faster.
Masaru grinned, and he chuckled. He dashed toward the enemy, and went to the bandit left side, he raised his right katana, and slashed to the bandit's waist, hoping it would be a successful hit.

Yukimura: The two bandits separated in their charge as Yukimura dove, allowing him to trip one, but not the other. As he slid along the ground, the remaining bandit's sword would strike the ground as well, being dragged along Yukimura's path, and it was being aimed to cleave the Samurai in two!
Takehiro: The spear would meet the villager's flesh, ripping it apart and slaying him, as he fell in a pool of his own blood.
- 1 Villager.
Katsumi: Katsumi would make it to the roof unharmed, and she had a clear view of the battlefield. She could spot four bandits in the open - each striking the Village Elder, and Takehiro. Kamaitachi was nowhere in sight, nor was the Bandit Chief.
Kamaitachi: Kamaitachi's strike would be successful, but as he attempted to lift the man overhead, he would find the villager was just too heavy! The villager lifted both arms overhead, and would slam them into the mercenary's spine, aiming to send him crashing into the ground.
Masaru: Masaru rolled out of the way in time! His arm was bleeding pretty bad, though, and he'd need to get a tourniquet on it! He charged the bandit, who blocked his strike, and sent his sword down to impale the Samurai's foot.

As the katana of the other bandit he could not trip was dragged along his path, he would let go of one hand on his spear and swiftly reaching up to his shoulder, Yukimura would pull the katana on his back free from its sheath and try to swing it at the bandit, not only to block his strike, but also hopefully knock his katana out of his hands. If he succeeded, he would try to come to a stop and quickly climb to his feet, facing both bandits as he placed the katana back into its sheath, resuming holding his spear with both hands once more.
He'd then charge forward, to try and impale the bandit whom he had tripped, then rip his spear free and move onto the second one who was hopefully defenseless.
