Bandit Raid!

[Amakusa Takehiro]

The merc fell to the ground, be he held his spear tight. Once on his back, he would try to sweep his spear over his chest and swat the swords away, and then once more to knock the villagers off their feet. Should this attack prove successful, the mercenary would jump back to his own, and stab both of the villagers in their stomachs while they were down.

[Shinomori Katsumi]

There was one headshot, one bandit down, but before she could fire at the next bandit, he threw a rock at her. She didn't have the time to react and her right shoulder hit, knocking her to the ground.

"What the hell?!" she hissed, the archer's back colliding onto the ground. Her shoulder shot with pain from the impact. Nothing was broken, but there was no doubt in the woman's mind that her shoulder would be purple by the end of the night, and that it would hurt like a bitch.

A rock knocked her to the ground? Katsumi felt pathetic. She mentally noted that if she made it out alive that Katsumi would focus on strength exercises and building up her muscles. But she wasn't so sure about that, scrambling back and wincing as the bandit charged her. He was ready to finish her off with one decisive stab when suddenly a villager slit his throat.

Kat's eyes widened, but she quickly shook her head and pushed herself up, nodding in appreciation to the villager. Her hues searched the area and she saw the village elder fighting with another mercenary. That was her paycheck!

Eyes narrowing, she charged forward and readied her bow, prepared to fire at any bandits in the vicinity. It was too dangerous to shoot the other man who was pinned now, as she might hit the elder, so she skid to a stop near the wall of a hut to provide cover on her flank, searching for anymore targets who may intend to harm the leader of the village.

Katsumi from here on out would act as his support, unless the Elder said or needed otherwise.

Things were starting to look desperate indeed for Kamaitachi. He had been in some tough scrapes before, but this? Going toe to toe with the Elder was taking every ounce of skill and animal cunning he had. Fortunately THIS mad dog still had a few tricks left up his sleeves.

As the Elder pounced, the Monster would try to catch the man with both feet into his chest chest, letting his weight bunch his knees in tightly before kicking out, sending him crashing into the wagon where his Sickles were stuck.

If he succeeded, he would let out a snarl before scrabbling after the Village elder, fully intent on wrapping his chain around the old mans throat and choking the life out of him.

[Oda Nobunaga]

Yukimura: While Yukimura remained hidden, he would happen upon the bandit chief! Though, not in the most desirable ways. A body would be flung through a wall, falling at Yukimura's feet. He would see it was the body of a villager. The one who threw it was the chief himself, who now set his target to be Yukimura!

This leaves the villagers at the entrance outnumbered four to seven, unfortunately, as the chief's escort sought to assist their comrades.

Takehiro: The mercenary was indeed successful! The two villagers were swept off their feet, and Takehiro's spear met with their warm flesh, effectively disemboweling them. The mercenary, once recovered, would have time to observe the actions around him, allowing him to see the entrance, Katsumi, the elder, and Kamaitachi.

- 2 Villagers

Katsumi: From this point, Katsumi would find any shot she wished to make unhindered! She had a full view of the combat, aside from Yukimura and the chief, and she could assist her elder and her allies without hitting any of them.

Kamaitachi: The maneuver was successful, kicking the elder away and into the wagon! This allowed him time to recover and act, although the old man was far faster than anyone on the field of battle, and sent out a powerful kick to Kamaitachi's stomach, putting distance between the two. He also removed the sickle from the wagon, allowing the mercenary to have full use of his weapons!

[Sanada Yukimura]

As soon as the body of the villager landed at his feet after being flung through a wall, it was clear to Yukimura that against the Bandit Chief, he would not win. With the chief now targeting him, quickly whirling around, Yukimura would begin reversing course, moving as fast as he possibly could, hoping he could draw the chief out into the open so he could team up with any other allies in the village and take the chief down.

[Amakusa Takehiro]

Takehiro would take one of the katanas, as well as the hammer, in both hands. He'd look to Kamaitachi and the elder, and he would notice Katsumi had her bow drawn on the man. He also paid very close attention to the numbers at the gate, and he grinned.

Takehiro would charge toward the entrance to the village, trusting Kamaitachi could hold his own for just a few more minutes, and would seek to impale one of the villagers from behind, and crush the other's skull in with the heavy hammer he took with him. This would allow the other two villagers to be quickly overcome by the seven bandits, and they could make their way in to fight Yukimura, Katsumi, and the elder.

BUT, if Katsumi targeted Takehiro, he would wait until she fired her first arrow to approach. He would step to the side, having enough time, given the distance and his speed, and throw the katana at her midsection, and then charge her with the hammer.

[Shinomori Katsumi]

Her attention was focused on the Elder and his current enemy, and Katsumi's eyes narrowed. Before there was too much danger with her firing, due to how close they were, but now they were separated and the enemy was out in the open, right in her line of sight. Removing two arrows from her quiver, she readied one, the other in-between her fingers (ready to be used in quick succession, if need be), and Kat took aim at Kama's back, firing and hoping she would hit the large area, knowing she had a better chance with center-mass than with his head.

Kamaitachi let out a wet burst of breath from his lungs as the Elders kick connected with his guts. His hardened abs managed to absorb most of the force, but he would definatly be sore there along with everywhere else. Allowing the force to knock him away, the monster made sure to grab at his chain tight as he skidded away, pulling his free'd sickles towards himself and wrapping the slack around his left wrist as he began twirling the other sickle high with his right hand.

"You know, I must admit your one of the more formidable opponents I've faced in my life. I am known as Kamaitachi. May I have your na-GAUGH!"
The monster shuddered violently as his back was struck twice, forcing him to the ground on his knees as liquid hot pain began to spread around his shoulders. His sickles and chain crashing limp to the ground.

(He ain't out of the fight just yet boys and girls )

Yukimura: Yukimura could run from the bandit chief, but the man would catch up with him after long. Not far outside the hut, the man would take the back of Yukimura's neck and slam him face-first into the ground! Twice!

Takehiro: The mercenary would make it to the entrance, impaling the one villager and crushing the other's skull. But, by the time he got there, three bandits had already been slain, which originally leveled the playing field. His intervention allowed the bandits to overcome the villagers, however, and the remaining four bandits rushed the village, after slaying the last villager who helped Katsumi! All four bandits were rushing the elder and Katsumi!

Katsumi: Her hit was successful! However, her and the elder were now endanger, with four bandits rushing them!

Kamaitachi: He may have took the hit, but the fighter had a chance to recover, with his allies coming to his aid!

[Sanada Yukimura]

Unable to get very far, Yukimura would feel the back of his neck being grabbed, and as the ground rushed to meet his face, he would let out all the air in his lungs, to avoid having all the wind knocked out of him. Rather dazed and his head pounding, he would however, try to concentrate, and without warning, would try to jab the bandit chief in the ribs with the blunt end of his spear, mostly to try and get him to let go, before bolting if he could towards the open area of the village.

In a war of attrition, Yukimura knew he could not win, and his best bet was to get the bandit chief into the open.

[Amakusa Takehiro]

Takehiro would charge behind the four bandits, making his way to the elder. He figured the chief could hold his own, so he wouldn't stack enemies on the already outmatched Yukimura. His target was the elder, who he sought to crush from behind with the hammer. Though, were the archer to target him, he would whirl the hammer in Hiroshi's direction, before pulling his spear on the chief.

Kamaitachi's back-up has arrived.

[Shinomori Katsumi]

Katsumi's eyes widened sharply. As she swiveled around after shooting down the man who had been attacking the elder, the rest of the villagers were taken down and four bandits were heading their way, fast. And there was even one behind them. Katsumi gulped and took a step back. This wasn't good at all.

Narrowing her eyes, the archer removed five arrows, moving back with haste. She exclaimed to the Elder, motioning for him to draw back as well, for they needed their distance, "MOVE!"

Katsumi needed that distance most, though. The Elder could hold his ground, and she would act as his support. After running, making her way in a half-circle in order to slow down any who were after her specifically so they wouldn't be sprinting in a straight line, she would lift her bow and quickly shoot at the two nearest bandits to her. The merc then continued moving to try and keep a good distance between herself and the men.

[Oda Nobunaga]

Yukimura: The samurai was able to strike the bandit chief with the butt end of his spear, but the bandit took the spear afterward and ripped it from Yukimura's hands. He threw it to the side, pulling Yukimura back and sending a hard right hook to his face!

Takehiro: Rather than run with Katsumi, the elder bum-rushed through the bandits and charged Takehiro! He pushed the merc to the ground, and sent his sword down, aiming to impale Takehiro's chest!

Katsumi: The woman managed to get a single arrow off, hitting one of the bandits in the neck and taking him out! However, one of the other three tackled her to the ground, while one went to cleave her head off, and the other went to go support Takehiro!

[Sanada Yukimura]

Instead of trying to resist against the bandit chief ripping his spear away, Yukimura would simply release his grip on his spear, allowing the bandit chief to take it away from him easily. As he was pulled back, he would try to use the momentum to duck underneath the right hook with a rolling motion to the side and then snap his spear back up, before once more dashing into the open area of the village, towards Katsumi's location.

[Amakusa Takehiro]

Takehiro was not expecting that, that was for sure. Once on the ground, he kept a close eye on the elder's sword, and twisted his body away from it as it would hit the ground. Quickly retaliating, he thrust his spear upward and toward the bastard's shoulder, looking to take it out by impaling it. If he was successful, he would attempt to raise the hammer and smash it into the man's kneecap.

[Shinomori Katsumi]

One was taken out, but she wasn't quite fast enough to take them all on, and she was knocked down, bow falling from her hands. Katsumi cried out, feeling as though her petite form was crushed under the weight of the man who tackled her, and she hurriedly removed her knife, adrenaline coursing through her body. Panic set in, that instinct that took over when an animal was in a life or death situation. Katsumi couldn't die here. She wouldn't.

Eyes narrowing sharply and teeth clenching tightly, the girl gripped the bandit's hair, yanking his head, and deeply slit his throat. From her peripheral vision, she saw another coming at her, and Katsumi used the much larger man's body as a shield, pulling him up a bit and hiding her tiny form beneath, ducking her head down.

When the blade would make a connection, Katsumi grit her teeth and used all of her strength, and putting all of her weight, behind one powerful kick. Her legs would push the body from her, hopefully colliding into the other opponent and knocking him down. The archer was hoping it would give her enough time, through either causing the enemy to stumble back or fall down, to scramble up and make a decisive blow, to stab or slice wherever she could to end him.

Yukimura: The samurai was not quick enough to duck under the blow, and so he found a giant fist striking his face! The chief would release his hold on Yukimura at that point, allowing him to fall to the floor. He had time to get to his spear, however, because the chief simply waited, pulling his katana from his sheath!

Takehiro: The mercenary's spear drove through the elder's shoulder, rendering one of his arms useless! He would not, however, get to use the hammer, as the elder's foot snapped down to his wrist and kept his arm in place. He raised his blade, once more intent on impaling Takehiro, but was stopped when he found a blade ripping through his back! The bandit who was not occupied at the time had impaled him with his katana, and the elder, though not quite deceased, fell to his side, hitting the floor.

Katsumi: Katsumi slayed the bandit atop her, successfully using him as a shield. Her kick also worked, knocking the other bandit back and giving her time to recover. As she got to her feet and charged him, he could not react quick enough, and found her slicing at his throat! Before he died, however, he swung his katana wildly, cutting the woman across the stomach!

[Sanada Yukimura]

Unable to evade the hook, all Yukimura could do was move his head slightly, timing the turn with the punch. The blow hit him solidly across the chin, sending him falling to the ground, one eye closed in pain. His chin hurt, possibly fractured, and though he was confused as to why the bandit chief was waiting, drawing his katana from its sheath, Yukimura wasn't going to question it. He would then grab his spear, using it as support to help him to his feet... before trying to kick up a cloud of dirt at the chief's face, to try and blind him momentarily, hopefully allowing Yukimura to make his escape into the open area.

Hardly honorable perhaps, but Yukimura was running out of options.

[Amakusa Takehiro]

Takehiro would have nodded to the bandit in appreciation, before standing to his feet, gripping the hammer tightly in both hands. He would pull the hammer over his head, and aimed to smash it down upon the village elder's skull. His intent here was to shatter it, of course, quickly eliminating the man, and securing his pay.

[Shinomori Katsumi]

Her maneuver and attack were successful. The man's throat was slit, but before he was finished off, the bandit managed to slice at her stomach. The wound wasn't deep, but Katsumi fell on her knee, pressing her hand against her stomach. Tears welled in her dark hues, and, when she pulled her hand away, her palm and fingers were covered in red.

"S... Shit," she hissed, wincing. Katsumi doubted it would need stitches, but after this battle she would surely need to stop the bloodflow so as not to pass out, and clean it to avoid infection. Her eyes caught sight of the Elder being knocked down, and her eyes widened. The woman's body tensed and she whispered, shaking her head slowly, "... No!"

Dropping her knife, she grabbed for her bow and took out two arrows. Gritting her teeth and feeling blood seeping through her clothes, Katsumi took deep breaths. She couldn't let him die. Not after all of this. While on her knees, she took a steady aim at the back of the one holding his hammer over the Elder, Takehiro, and she fired, before moving her bow and shooting again at the bandit, hoping to take them both down. She would be damned if after all of this that the Elder, essentially her paycheck, would die now!
