The vest, comprised of iron plates, can nullify slashes and thrusts to the pectoral and arm joint area. Rogue's Shell: Chest Add-On. The shell of the Rogue slain by Yukimura seems to have been hallowed out, and is so thick it cannot be pierced by most blades. Because of this, it serves as armor of sorts.

Musou
Musou Ability: Fire Generation and Manipulation
Musou Description: Yukimura is able to generate and control fire, allowing him to shape flames into varying forms and control it in a telekinetic manner. He can control any fire within his immediate range of vision, causing it to increase or decrease in intensity. He also has the ability to mentally control the ambient heat energy within his immediate environment, even when he himself is not aflame, and with a higher Spirit, can reduce or raise objects' temperatures. If he takes in a critical amount of flames and heat energy while he is not aflame, he will become aflame. A passive effect of his Musou is his core temperature is quite a ways higher than normal, making it feel like he has a mild fever constantly, even though he is perfectly healthy.
Musou Techniques
Low
Retsuengeki (Rending Flame Attack): Yukimura is able to engulf his arms and legs in flames and deliver punches and kicks of fire.
Kadan (Fire Bullet): Yukimura is able to send blasts of fire from his hands and create fire balls and throw them at his opponent, the strength equal to his Spirit stat, though the accuracy depends on if his Wisdom is higher than his opponent's Wisdom.
Retsuenda (Rending Flame Destruction): Yukimura is able to generate streams of flames from his hands, he is able to control the length of the fire stream.
Shuuenki (Collection Flame Spirit): Yukimura is able to summon a doppelganger of pure fire with stats equal to his Spirit. The doppelganger is constantly in Musou, dealing Fire damage with all of its attacks, and has Yukimura's equipment and abilities. Lasts one post for every 5 Spirit.
Homura (Blaze): Yukimura is able to conjure weapons made out of pure fire, ranging from spears, to katanas, to swords that return to him after being thrown. The damage done is equal to his Spirit stat.
Mid
Zanka (Remnant Flame): When Yukimura's Musou is not in use, his heat energy forms a protective barrier around his body naturally, making not only his skin incredibly hot to touch, but also his armor as well. This adds his total Spirit stat to his total Constitution stat, making Yukimura a formidable foe.
Bakuengeki (Explode Flame Attack): Yukimura is able to fly by projecting streams of fire from his hands or the soles of his feet. He can project a huge amount of fire to increase his speed or a small amount for simple levitation or propel himself without taking flight at all.
Gouka (Hellfire): Yukimura is able to create pillars of fire that he can envelop his opponent in or send along the ground at, though he can only create one or two pillars at a time.
Suikago (Refined Fire Protection): Yukimura is able to engulf himself entirely in flames without causing harm to himself, which humorously causes his hair to spike upwards from the sudden burst of energy. He is able to increase the temperature of his flame form to the highest, hottest levels of flame that he can create. The exact temperatures that it can attain are not known.
High
Seiryuukou (Threaten Dragon Rise): A burst of power immediately absorbing all nearby heat energy sources and residual Musou energy and focus it into a single arm for an attack.
Karyuugeki (Fire Dragon Attack): A burst of power immediately gathering all nearby heat energy sources and residual Musou energy and focus it into a single arm for an attack, a dragon composed of flames is launched from the punch and sent soaring at the opponent.

Amakusa Takehiro: A mercenary Yukimura met in a tavern in a village, after working together to take down a group of Tokugawa supporters that had stirred up a riot against a group of Takeda supporters, as thanks for the man's help, Yukimura paid for his food and lodgings at a nearby inn. Though Yukimura has respect for the man, and can see he has morals, because Takehiro is a mercenary, Yukimura knows eventually there will come a day when they may end up fighting against each other.
Shinomori Katsumi: A female archer Yukimura briefly encountered during the bandit raid on a village he tried to protect, their first real encounter was at a hot spring in Kofu, which resulted in Yukimura discovering her true gender and that she was masquerading as a man afer enduring hardships. After requesting and learning her real name and her alias, their bond of friendship was sealed, as Yukimura would keep and ensure he would take her secret to his grave.
Morei Haji: A young mercenary Yukimura met in Kofu, after exchanging their ideals with one another and letting Haji know he and Katsumi would be welcomed with open arms to the Takeda faction, the two of them had a spar, mainly for Yukimura to see Haji's skills. He can see Haji wishes to become stronger to protect the girl he cares for, but knows the young man has to steel his resolve and not allow his emotions to get the better of him to move forward.
Yuy Masahiro: A young mercenary Yukimura met while he was repairing a partly caved in and abandoned dojo, upon learning the dojo originally belonged to Masahiro's sensei, Yukimura opened the doors to the young man should he ever wished to train in the dojo again.
