Inside an abandoned, half-destroyed dojo just on the outskirts of Kofu, the sounds of martial art cries could be heard, followed by orange-yellow glows visible from the various holes in the walls from the occasional streams of fire. Yukimura was training with his Musou, as usual. He already had the basics down, but learning advanced techniques was going to take time. Dressed in just his white hakama and red headband, his other clothing, armor, and weapons folded and placed on the floor nearby, he was learning to refine his his control on it and integrating and using his Musou more in conjunction with his attacks.
The reason he was practicing inside an abandoned dojo, as opposed to the one he fixed up, was because he didn't want to risk the dojo catching on fire and burning down, as the dojo was not used solely by him, but also by Msashiro-san. At least with this dojo, even if it caught on fire, no one would care all that much. A thin layer of sweat visible on his upper body, he would fire two more streams of fire from his hands, the glow from the flames even more intense and visible for anyone that happened to pass by.

Reina was passing through the area around Kofu. She wasn't typically in this area, but someone had sent her on a job in these parts. She had actually already completed her mission, taking with her the eyes and the branded flesh of her enemy to prove his identity to her employer. A small coinpurse contained a box with the eyes and flesh so that the dead man's bodily fluids would not leak...or smell...as she transported them.
As she was walking along the road, she passed by some old, run down building. It seemed that the entrance had signage on it. From what she could make out, the building was a dojo at some time. She turned her head away momentarily just before she heard a CRACK! It sounded like the pop of a fire, but intensified to the volume of a thunderstorm. CRACK, CRACK!
Her head whipped toward the sound, and she saw bright flashes of light through the holed walls of the former-dojo. "The hell?" Bright light showed just before another CRACK!
Alright, she was curious. Reina rarely did anything because she had to, but because she felt like it. Whatever the sound, and firey light was, it had sparked her interest.
She wasn't stupid, though. She drew her Saitō Family Katana and walked towards the dojo. She couldn't imagine how she must look, blood splatter stains across her pink kimono with a sword in hand, but she didn't care.
Reina never cared.

Firing another stream of flames from his hands, Yukimura would set the wooden dummy in front of him on fire, lighting up the dojo with natural lighting, casting shadows everywhere, including...
"...?"
Turning his head slightly to look behind him, he would engulf both his arms and legs in flames, not out of annoyance that he had been disturbed, but merely as a precaution. These days, with the threat of war on the rise, you could never be too careful.
"You know I can see your shadow, if you're trying to sneak up and kill me, you're doing a terrible job."
He'd even point up at her shadow cast on the half-destroyed roof above him, the shape of the blade of the katana she held in her hands visible.

[[Ooc: Was without internet over the weekend, sorry for the late response.]]
She scoffed loudly. "Kill you? Please, I wouldn't give you the satisfaction...yet. Your fire-hands interest me. How, exactly...?"
She looked at the flames covering his arms, more interested then she let on. She often felt like she was weak and that is why she almost died. The flames gave the man a great power that Reina had never witnessed before, and it excited her.
She felt as if her heart were pumping some kind of stimulant through her veins as her desire to understand and possibly harness the power grew within her. Of course, she couldn't have known that a Musou wasn't able to be stolen, but she certainly hoped she could obtain it somehow.
"Power..." was the only word that she was able to speak, so excited by her own thoughts.

Turning around fully to face the girl that entered the dojo, he was not in the least bit fazed by her scoff, and would wordlessly watch her carefully while moving a bit away from her.
"I should warn you, you'll quickly realize that yet will become never. And let's just say I've been blessed by Kagutsuchi, the God of Fire."
Forming twin katanas of fire in both his hands, he would lift his right hand up and point the katana at her, his eyes boring into hers as she looked at his arms, her interest and desire evident on her face. But no matter how much she wished to obtain his Musou, she never would be able to steal it from him.
"If it is power that you want, I am afraid you, or anyone else for that matter, will never obtain mine."
Continuing to point the katana at her, he was far away enough that the heat from the katana, and the katana itself would not hurt her, but she would feel it was getting a bit toasty inside the dojo.
"There is no way you will ever take it from me, and I will fight to ensure it. If you think you can, then try to defeat me."

She believed him, she had no reason not to. She couldn't see any kind of way that the flames were from something natural, so she did believe him when he said it would be impossible to steal it.
Also, she didn't want to be charcoal. Reina had plenty of fun and entertaining things left to do, and dying wasn't on that list.
"It's getting quite warm in here." She considered taking off her kimono, but decided against it. She wasn't really interested in [fading to black] with this man. At least, not yet.
Instead of taking it off, she just walked back outside the dojo. She expected him to follow, hoping her sexual poweress would lead him.
If he followed her, she would just continue the conversation outside.
If he didn't, then she would probably take off her kimono. It really was hot in there!

"... I'd imagine so. Though I feel perfectly fine, to be honest."
Slowly lowering his katana as the girl walked back outside the dojo, he would regard her with a wary expression before following after her, though it was not because of her sexual prowess, as she would hope, as evident by the fact he would stop at the doorway of the dojo, leaning up against the door frame. His arms casually folded across his chest, the flames surrounding his arms and legs dying down, though the katanas made of fire still remained in his hands, he would continue to warily watch her. Just as she had no plans to die, neither did he.
"It seems power is what you seek. ... Why?"

She grinned widely. Reina had no use for power, really. She just wanted something entertaining. If she could kill someone in a new way or if power would lead to her complete independence, then she was all for it. Reina never considered that power itself could entertain her.
"Not power, just looking for something fun." She began playing with the arm of her kimono, feeling the silk between her fingers. She often did this, as the softness of the silk calmed her. "Always looking for something to entertain myself with." Reina paused, "Like dead bodies."
She raised her arms above her head and stretched her limbs. "Most things in life are boring, that's why I don't really care for this stupid war, this stupid world really. People are boring with all their rules and regulations." She picked a small flower from the tree above her and tucked it into her ear.
"Some people just want to watch the world burn." Reina then winked.

"And your idea of fun is playing with fire? Your idea and my idea of entertainment differs greatly. You may not care for this war and want to see the world burn to ashes, but sooner or later it will affect you. If the world burns, there's a chance all your forms of entertainment will be eliminated forever, except for the dead bodies. There'd be plenty of that."
Regarding the girl with a mildly amused smile on his face, one eyebrow raised, the twin fire katanas would die down and eventually disappear from his hands as he continued to lean up against the door frame, his muscular arms and upper body even more visible in the daylight.
"Still think this war and the world doesn't affect you?"

The man's words didn't really phase her. Reina knew that it mattered, but what the man didn't understand was that Reina aspired to be the driving force behind the death in this country. She knew she couldn't kill everyone but wouldn't hesitate to make this world, well, hers.
The war, the people, the death, they all mattered. That's exactly right. Without death, Reina wouldn't ever be able to enjoy herself. Without the war, people would be terrified of death and may actually pursue the killers of all of these people. War was the perfect cover to kill under.
Oh, and watching the world burn was something she couldn't wait to do. She craved power but only because it was a means to the end of many lives.
Reina watched the muscular men as he leaned against the doorway. His muscles intrigued her, but not enough. He seemed to be some kind of powerful goodygoody and she had no interest in being a part of his...fun.
Reina had her own path to follow, and she would leave a wave of death in her wake.
"Not everyone will die at once, but rest assured, some will. Even if it only keeps me happy for a few minutes. Killing is fun...I'll leave you be for now unless you intend on following me." She raised up her bag, "I've got to collect my pay in the next town over."

Reina was correct, Yukimura didn't understand... and never would. He was the opposite, he didn't want to be a driving force of death in Nippon, he wanted to prevent death. He didn't want innocent lives to be taken and blood unnecessarily spilled. He wanted to see Lord Shingen's ideal of uniting Nippon together under his banner and finally end the war come true, and would fight to see it happen. He didn't see war as enjoyable, it tore villages, families, friends apart. He was for all intents and purposes, a goody-goody. The heroic type. But that was who he was, and he would never change who he was.
"... Truly, you and I are opposites in every way. I have no intention of following you, or hinder you from collecting your pay. Just as I have a job to do, so to, do you. However..."
Lifting one arm up, a spear of fire would form in his hand, as he would point it directly at Reina.
"I will not allow anyone to take the lives of innocent people for their own amusement."
The spear dissipating into thin air, he would then turn and head back into the dojo, to collect his clothing and armor, before making his way home, going in the opposite direction of Reina. There would come a day when he would fight against her, of that he had no doubt. And he would be ready for it.
