(OOC: Stats are in effect, as this is a stat-based board, but will be used more as a guideline than strict adherence. Please post your stats from the previous round in your first post, at which point, they will be locked. No Musou is allowed. This fight ends on March 10th. Good luck.) The both of you are led to a bridge somewhere in Heian-Kyo during the day with buildings on one side of the bridge and a fenced-off grass area designed for outdoor picnics on the other, the referee already there and awaiting your arrival. The bridge goes over a shallow, man-made stream, with the cherry-trees in bloom, so there is a never ending shower of petals falling onto the ground. "Ready? Fight!"

(OOC: Yukimura's Stats: Str: 24 Dex: 19 Con: 19 Wis: 18 Spr: 15) Led to a bridge located somewhere in Heian-Kyo, Yukimura would marvel at the area, but also lament the fact that he would have to fight in such a beautiful area of the city. Watching the cherry blossoms shower petals onto the ground, he would also take the time waiting for his opponent to arrive to note the surrounding area, including the fenced-off grass area with picnic tables. When his opponent finally arrived, unlike the previous round, Yukimura did not know him, so a look of intense focus and determination was visible on his face. Easing into a simple stance on the left side of the bridge, the buildings behind him, once the referee spoke, despite wanting to win, he would fight a clean fight. No tricks or cheating. "... Only one of us will move on to the final round. That person will be me."

Stats: Strength:17 Dexterity:19 Constitution:18 Wisdom:12 Spirit:8 Having won the first round, I had to make my way to another location for the second. Winning the first one by luck,as we both fell down I landed right and the other didn't. Lets just hope this time I would face somebody new instead of one I already know. I would rather have some new fighter, this way I can learn more and fight more calmly I hope. Arriving at the place, it was a bridge but smaller and different then the first one, on one side you had buildings and on the other a grass field. peddles of blossom were falling non stop turning the sky pink. As I stepped on the bridge I could see my opponent already standing there. I was on the side of the field and he was on the side of the buildings. Upon seeing me he would take a stance one I never saw before, this should be interesting. A grin would appear upon my face as I saw it and he would speak about winning. " If you so sure, why don't you come and try! " With a cocky voice I would slide into a Stance My eyes turned into those of one that hates and I would just wait for him to make his move.

Not impressed nor unfazed by his opponent's cocky attitude, instead of taunting him back however, Yukimura would wordlessly and without any warning or indication take off towards him, moving at a fast but controlled speed, to not only avoid tiring himself out quickly, but also allowing him to control his movements. Halting completely in his tracks once he was in range, Yukimura would pull his left fist back, like he was going for an uppercut, only to launch a flat-palm strike with his right hand at his stomach, to try and send him backwards, while simultaneously shifting his left arm in front of his sternum, ready to block in case his opponent launched a strike back.

It seems this guy was more of a fighter then a talker, this would be interesting. As he came at me it was not hard to notice he was going to charge, the way he was in his fighting stance took time to move into a sprint, and he would be low because of the stance. He came closer until he got in his range but that range was also my range.
Keeping my eyes upon him as a total, not being foolish to just let my eyes fall upon his left arm as it drew back, I knew if I kept my eyes on him face and shoulders I would see most things coming before they were even thrown. I saw the left arm drew back as in a uppercut. But to hit me with that uppercut the way my stance was he had to come from under my left arm and would not work. He then threw a right palm strike instead of that uppercut. Aimed for my stomach, to bad for him that my body was side ways and for him to hit that mark he would have move to the side but he didn't. My left hand would be brought in smashing against the side of the wrist of the palm strike, this way it would just strike air beside me. It would also bring him in closer.
At the point his palm strike would pass me I could see he also brought up some defense, in front of his chest he had brought up his left.My target was not his chest but as his strike was at the point of returning to the owner I would step forwards. My left foot would be on top of his right foot. This way he would not be able to step away. if he did he would fall or break his own knee. This way he would be unable to use his footwork to pull of strikes. My right fist would now shoot at his chest but instead turned into a palm but I would not strike rather push him hard backwards. if this worked he would fall and break his knee as I kept that in place.

As Yukimura went in for the flat-palm strike, he would see his opponent bring his left hand in to smash it against his wrist, and Yukimura would avoid it simply by moving his arm upwards, causing the hand to hit nothing but air. The downside however, was his flat-palm strike was thrown off target, and as he retracted his arm, he would notice his opponent step forward, causing him to automatically react and quickly dart to his left and face his opponent in a sideways stance, his right hand already held in front of his chin, while his left hand was in front of his sternum, having effectively prevent him from slamming his foot down on his foot and stopping his combo dead in its tracks.
The guy may be just as fast as he was, but Yukimura was much more perceptive, and would be able to see his strikes coming, allowing him to react that much quicker. This also meant Yukimura was far more unpredictable, and his opponent would not be able to counter his strikes properly or in time. He had already accounted for the fact his opponent would launch a strike just after he had dodged, and was prepared to counter or evade.

Seeing him being able to dodge my attacks that easily made me wonder. This man probably seen more battles then me, but I would not be beaten that easily. I had to keep my calm and avoid making any moves that are to easy to spot as it would be able to counter. As the warrior would just stand in a defensive stance I would take my stance one again as well. He was waiting for me to attack so he could counter. I wasn't a fool. Even if he saw things coming easy. I was a born fighter brawling was my thing.
A grin would appear on my face as I knew I was in a disadvantage but that would make it more fun. He was standing sideways and both arms blocking what would come in. As we were not that far apart he would not be able to react that fast, I would slide forward with my foot in front slamming my shoulder into his both arms that were blocking. He had to move like the speed of light to be able to dodge something like that in that distance.
Being really close now, my front foot would slide behind his leading foot, cutting of his escape route, my left would try to find his mark into the man his ribs and with my right shoulder I would keep his arms in place for just a a second enough for my left to find his mark, knuckles deep into the ribs. I had to make sure he wasn't able to react or see what was coming.

Maki was correct in that Yukimura would have to move at the speed of light to dodge his ram, but incorrect in that he could not react fast enough. Yukimura could react, but he would just barely be able to, as he would catch his opponent's shoulder with his left hand as he slide forward. He would then try to push his opponent backwards while darting to the right and turning once he reached the end of the bridge, not to send him off-balance, but to put some distance between them, hopefully preventing his opponent from reaching his ribs and burying his knuckles in it.
At least now he'd have more room to move around, and not restricted to moving around in the bridge area. He would take up his previous stance once more, his hands held in front of his chin and sternum.

Yukimura avoided the punch but before either group could go on further, an eagle dropped a white cloth between the two of them, a signal that the fight was over.
"For his valor and prowess, Sanada Genjiro Yukimura advances."
[[+1 Stat Point to both parties.]]
