A small village on the Tokugawa side of Totomi was constantly being hounded by the Imagawa forces, who would repeatedly send a small amount of men to terrorize them. Because of this, tensions grew, and the people became scared of what harm could befall them. It had gotten to the point where, now, the Imagawa had dispatched a small army to wipe them out! Under Takehiro's guard, the villagers pulled together a small militia to match the might of the oncoming army.
The demon warrior positioned a small platoon of men within a few homes at certain points within the village. His aim was to keep the men in hiding, take out a few of the Imagawa forces at the front, lead them into the village, and have the hiding men spring out into action and ambush the stragglers. Takehiro was certain it would work, given his expertise and experience. So, with his soldiers in position, it was merely a matter of waiting.
Upon the horizon, Takehiro could see the Imagawa forces coming. He stood to his feet, glaive in hand, as they approached. The sight of a demon warrior scared them, and some began to turn around and run, but he would prevent their escape by summoning a tidal wave of dark energy from behind them, forcing them to run toward the village they were targeting! As they came near, Takehiro ripped through the crowd, incapacitating a good ten in no time at all. The rest ran past him in fear, and from there, Takehiro let the battle play its course.
At the first ambush point, the seven men in the back of the invading army would be taken down by ten men, their weapons ripped from their hands and they were forced into submission. The second ambush point, another ten ambushed yet another seven, breaking their arms and tying them down so they could no longer fight. The third group appeared in front of the final six men, and they realized there was no escaping. They all dropped their weapons and fell to their knees in surrender.
All thirty of the invaders had their hands bound behind their backs, and they were all brought to the center of the village. Takehiro observed the men, using his demonic image to instill a fear in them. "You lot got off easy this time. But know this: should you return to this village with ill intent, I will not spare you a second time. Now, leave this place, and tell your Lord of the demon and the men who put a stop to you. Return to your families. Do not come back." The men nodded, scrambling to their feet and taking off down from where they came.
Pleased with the progress he'd made, Takehiro retired to the inn for the night. He would stay in the village for the next couple of days to insure their safety, as well.

Post by Sanada Yukimura on Apr 9, 2014 23:36:19 GMT -7
A small village located on the border of Shinano and Hida was constantly being attacked by the Miki faction, whom would repeatedly send a small unit of soldiers to march on the village. As a result, tensions between the Takeda faction and Miki faction grew, and night after night, the villagers slumbered in unease, afraid of what the morning would bring. The Takeda and Miki factions had always been on shaky ground, but recently it had gotten to the point that the Miki faction dispatched a small army to attack and wipe out the village once and for all. The moment word reached Lord Shingen, Yukimura set out immediately with a small army, about 30 men in total, to the village, determined to protect it and the villagers from the oncoming threat. Stationing the men in groups of six in the shadows, to stay out of sight, four in total, the remaining six were with him, standing at the entrance to the village, while Yukimura himself stood in front of them, his dual jumonji yari already in his hands.
He was determined to take out as many of the opposing soldiers as he could before they could even step foot into the village, and the ones he could not, he and the six men present would lure into the village, allowing the other men to ambush the opposing army and take them down. On the horizon, the rising sun would be blotted out by the shadows of the advancing Miki army, and opening his eyes, the sight of Yukimura was enough to cause the army to falter briefly, but nonetheless, they would press on, and rushing forward, they would advance on Yukimura. Just as they rushed towards him, so too, would Yukimura rush forwards towards them, and using his spears to launch himself up into the air, as flames engulfed him, Yukimura would come crashing down in the middle of the army and swing his spears outward, knocking out at least ten of the men. As the rest tried to run away in fear, Yukimura would block their retreat path with a wall of fire that would spring up behind them, funneling them towards the village. As they ran past him, he would cut down as many as he could, and the ones that got past, would find themselves up against the six men in the village... or so they thought.
As they went to swing their katanas in fear and desperation, two groups of the men hidden in the shadows would ambush them and incapacitate them, while the remaining two groups would stay hidden, to ensure the safety of the villagers. With a good portion of the opposing army already taken down by Yukimura, those that remained posed little trouble to his men. With only five men of the opposing army, realizing they were greatly outnumbered and outmatched, they would drop their katanas and hold their hands up, immediately surrendering as they were surrounded on all sides. Capturing and gathering all thirty soldiers of the Miki army into the villager square, weaponless and completely surrounded by the Takeda soldiers, whom had katanas pointed at them, the circle would part in the middle to allow Yukimura in, as he would enter the inner circle and stare down at the opposing soldiers, the flames he controlled continuing to engulf him.
"... All of you should be thankful you are still alive. But listen well: if you return to this village once more, I will not be so merciful a second time, and I will take your lives with my own hands, understood? Return to Miki and tell your Lord that the Takeda faction stopped you. Now run. Run away, and never return."
The men nodding their heads in fear and panic, they would scramble to their feet and the circle parting to let them through, they would take off like a pack of frightened dogs, running back in the direction of where they came from. The soldiers and villagers letting out roars of joy, Yukimura would smile slightly from their success, and would make his way to a nearby inn to rest, deciding he would stay a few more days longer, to ensure the villagers safety in the next few days.

Post by Ichimura Ryunosuke on May 5, 2014 16:41:38 GMT -7
The trouble with the bandits had not been finished yet at the Takeda border of the Totomi when Ryunosuke was informed about an Imagawa army marching towards one of their border villages. Shocked by the turn of events, Ryunosuke moved towards the village with a stash of rifles newly produced by his smithy to assist the villagers there in fighting them off.
Fortunately, by the time Ryunosuke was in the village, the enemy was still not yet in sight. He assembled every man able to fight within the village, 30 in all, armed them with the rifles, and taught them how to use the rifles. After three days, the Imagawa was detected to be 5 miles away from the village. Fortunately the villagers soon learned on how to use the rifles, and so he broke down the 30 villagers into 3 rows, and marched with them towards the entrance of the village. They then calmly waited for the enemy to come within their sight.
It would only take 2 hours before they could see the enemy, marching on as if they were not spied on, of if they did, they were too confident that they would attain their goal. Not wasting time in being detected, Ryunosuke immediately fired his howitzer towards the ground they stood on. The ground impact surprised the soldiers, and seeing the confusion written all over their faces, Ryunosuke signaled the villagers to fire.
The first row fired their rifles at the enemy, but even though some missed and most only hit the enemy's armor, it was enough for many of the soldiers to panic. The first row withdrew to give way to the second row, and before the second row fired their weapons, Ryunosuke fired his howitzer again, now towards the soldiers who seemed to catch wind of what's going on and tried to charge at the villagers. The second row fired their weapons, and a lot of the shots fired damaged the enemies' armor. The second row withdrew, and the third row had their rifles already aimed at the enemy, waiting for the signal to fire. Ryunosuke's howitzer again roared, and the shot fired hit again the ground on which the enemies stand, throwing them into greater disorder. The third row fired their weapons, and most of the shots fired injured the enemies. The third row then withdrew, revealing the first row with their rifles ready to take aim. Knowing that they would be wiped out before they reach the village, the enemies withdrew, and finally ran away, leaving their injured and dead.
When the attack was finally over, the villagers moved towards the injured enemy soldiers and nursed them before they were sent back off to their homes. The battle left three combatants dead, all at the side of the invaders. Eight soldiers who were left by the invaders were brutally injured, which were treated by the villagers before they were sent away. The battle went to their advantage, but there was no knowing whether the enemies would come back to attack the village again. And so Ryunosuke stayed within the village, training the villagers on how to use the rifles, until the fortnight had passed and he had to go back to the militia headquarters. At lest he was confident that the villagers had learned on how to defend themselves.
