Conquering the Swamp [Dungeon|Open]

[Oda Nobunaga]

Takehiro: The Stalker's tendrils shot down at the glaive, keeping Takehiro from raising it any further! It jumped up, slamming both clawed feet into his chest, causing him to fly back into the wall!

Yukimura: The samurai would back up, allowing himself to keep his hip bones! However, the Rogue would take his spear, allowing the blade to pierce its hand, and fling it down the hall, out of the man's reach! Both of its gauntlet-blades would pierce the stone floor, and it would run toward Yukimura, looking to cut him into three pieces, starting from his inner thighs!

Haji: Haji's blades would end up piercing the Rogue's soft spot, and it shrieked, punching him in the face as hard as it could! Though, it would fall back, ripping the blades from its flesh and throwing them on the ground! It was bleeding immensely, and seemed to be crying out in pain! It was currently unable to react!

Katsumi: Upon gripping the tendril, she would find it ripped from her hand, as two more shot out and took her by the legs, flinging her into a wall! The Stalker shrieked, before jumping at the woman, claws extended, looking to dig them into her arms and rip her trachea out with its teeth!

[Amakusa Takehiro]

Takehiro grunted, his body hitting the wall pretty hard. It looked like he lost his glaive, though, it wasn't much of an issue to him. He smirked, pulling the ax from his back and charging the Stalker. "COME ON, FUCKER!" Mustering all of his strength, he would slam the ax down upon its forehead, looking to cleave it in two in one quick move.

If he failed, he would swing his fist in for an explosive impact against its cheek. Whatever this thing's equivalent to a cheek happened to be.

[Sanada Yukimura]

Good news! He managed to keep his hip bones! Bad news. His spear was taken from him... AGAIN. But unlike last time, he was not defenseless, and as the creature charged at him, he would whip out his... Well new whip sword, and try to lash at the area not covered by armor with the whip sword, while attempting to back up and quickly climb to his feet.

If he was successful, he would try to wrap the whip sword around the creature's neck and try to decapitate it as quickly as possible.

[Morei Haji]

My attack was successful, and the monster let out a shriek of pain. Before I could finish him off, however, he punched me in the face and I fell backwards. Luckily, my weapons fell to the floor, and my mask HAD HALF DAMAGE AND PREVENTED DAZING, HALLELUJAH. Taking a short moment to recover, amidst the aggravating headache his fist had caused, I would run for my swords while the beast was rearing back in pain.

I would send my blades at the weak looking spots to either side of his mouth, stabbing through that flesh and sending my blades straight up into the monster's brain to finish him off. If this was successful, I would pull my blades out and kick him backwards onto the floor, being sure to retrieve my whip sword afterwards. If this failed, I would somehow try to stab him in the chest once more.

[Shinomori Katsumi]

It was a good thing she was wearing these gauntlets, because the tendril ripped from her hand, and then two of them shot out for her legs TENTACLE RAAAAAAAAAAAAPE!!!!! /cries profusely Katsumi was then flung into a wall, grunting from the impact, and roughly fell on the floor. Fuck that hurt! Although, not like it probably should have with this new armor.

The creepy-ass fucker shrieked and jumped towards her, and Katsumi would immediately roll away and try to scramble onto her feet, using the blade of the bow to try and cut off the tendrils from their base because that would fucking HURT and probably make it bleed out, tbh. If that wouldn't work and she was pinned, Katsumi would use her bow to block the creature and keep it away from her, and proceed to use her strength to try and roll it off of her, in which case, if successful, she would scramble away.

[Oda Nobunaga]

Takehiro: The beast's arms shot up, taking the brunt of the blow. The hands were cut off and it shrieked in pain, before slamming its foot into Takehiro and slamming him into the wall a second time! Its tendrils shot out and took his arms, flinging him down the hall so he was on the opposite side from everyone else, and began striking him with a barrage from the tendrils!

Yukimura: The Rogue's hand shot out to grab the whip-sword, pulling Yukimura to his feet with it! From there, it would slam its knee into the samurai's stomach, ripping his weapon from him, slamming him into the wall! Bearing its fist-swords, it would charge Yukimura, looking to stab them through his collarbone and rip it out!

Haji: The Rogue recovered as Haji struck, hands shooting out to grab his blades! Blood dripped from its fingers, but it didn't seem to even care! Blades shot from the gloves, aimed at Haji's throat! The Rogue would push him back into the wall, using its superior strength to put Haji on the defensive!

Katsumi: The woman managed to roll away, but it seemed the tendrils were much too strong to be ripped from their base! The stalker's arm shot out, striking her in the shoulder and sending her into the wall with the others, as well!

[Amakusa Takehiro]

Takehiro cursed again, dropping his ax as the Stalker's tendrils shot out at him! He would try to match the attacks, slamming his knuckles into them over and over with explosive force. Once those were all out of the way, he would slide in close and ram his fists into its face in a flurry of blows, looking to blow that fucker apart. Just for good measure, he would also strike the hell out of its torso.

[Sanada Yukimura]

Letting out all the air from his lungs just as the creature slammed its knee into his stomach, to avoid getting the wind knocked out of him, after he was pulled to his feet by the creature grabbing his whip sword, as it was ripped from his hands, he would end being slammed into a wall.

"GAAAAAAAAAAH OH DAMN IT!"

As the creature charged at him, Yukimura would quickly dive and somersault to the side, hoping the creature would end up burying its blade gauntlets into the wall and allowing him a chance to take his whip sword back.

If he was successful, with whip sword in hand, he'd lash out and try to wrap it once more around the creature's neck, aiming to decapitate it.

[Morei Haji]

The creature reacted in time to catch my blades, blood oozing down the metal and his hands alike. It didn't seem to faze him, as he was pissed. "You gotta be kidding me..." I spoke as I saw the blades extend, and the monster pushed me back, slamming me against the wall. I gritted my teeth as I endured the pain, focused on not trying to get my throat slashed out.

"Not today, you son of a bitch..." I would do my best to push him away with my blades, sending my foot at the creature's stomach to kick him off of me, or at least cause him to relinquish his hold on my weapons. If successful, I would go for my previous attack, stabbing him at the opening near his mouth and into his brain. If not, I would probably drop my blades and bring my gauntlets between my face and neck and his blades as to not... well, die.

[Shinomori Katsumi]

Well, seemed like the tendril couldn't be cut through, and a strike to the shoulder sent Katsumi flying into a wall. This was starting to get annoying. How many times had she been thrown like this now?

"Ugh. Fuck you," she hissed lowly, shaking her head to get over the impact.

Jumping up to her feet, Katsumi would dash away to the side, eventually skidding to a stop and firing at the mouth and chest again, whatever she could hit. If it would charge her, the girl would start running again, trying to dodge and jump over any tendrils that may go after her, knocking them aside with her bow if need be.

Takehiro: As Takehiro met the tendrils, they would be destroyed, but his gauntlets would feel as if they were shattering! With the punches he delivered to its chest and armor, he would find the broken tendrils striking at him over and over from behind! He would manage to kill it, but, in using his maneuver, his back, arms, and legs would be covered in cuts and gashes!

Yukimura: Yukimura's maneuver seemed to work really well! Showered in luck, the samurai would retrieve his weapon! The whip would wrap around the Rogue's neck, though the whip itself was no longer sharp, as it was not in sword form! The Rogue would find itself trying to fight it, but ended up with a broken neck, rather than being headless!

Haji: Haji's block worked, and the swords did not pierce his gauntlets! The swords retracted, and the Rogue began to unleash a flurry of blows into Haji's sides and face!

Katsumi: A good amount of Katsumi's attacks would be dodged, however those that landed would strike the Stalker in its face and mouth! It reared back in pain, whipping out a tendril and smacking her bow out of her hands! Taking a moment due to the sheer pain it was in, it would charge her, looking to rip her apart!

[Amakusa Takehiro]

Satisfied with the fact that he killed that fucker, Takehiro tried to fight through the pain. He was a big boy, damn it! He reached down, taking up any useful equipment the stalker had - if any - and would take up his ax, running over to Katsumi's aid! As the stalker charged her, he would fling his ax toward it, looking to send the weapon into its head and rip it apart!

[Sanada Yukimura]

Well it wasn't decapitated, but at least the creature was defeated, by a broken neck. Taking any armor or weapons or whatever the Rogue had on it, Yukimura would quickly hoof it over to help Haji, and would form the whip into its sword form before trying to lash out at the creature from behind, hoping he could wrap the sword around its neck and take it out before it hurt Haji even more!

[Morei Haji]

The blades retracted thankfully, but the monster started to pull a friggin' Kenshiro on me! I did my best to block all the hits to the side and face with my gauntlets, though admittingly the half damage on my face made me worry a little less. If I managed to get an opening, I would send my gauntlet-clad fists underneath the monster's chin at its sweet spot, attempting to get it the hell off of me. If successful, I would reach down and grab the whip sword, putting it and sword form and attempting to stab up at its chest again in conjunction with Yukimura's attack.

[Shinomori Katsumi]

Most of the spirit arrows missed, but some made their mark and it clearly inflicted damage. But a tendril smacked her bow from her hand, and Kat's eyes widened sharply.

FUCK!

She wouldn't even give it the chance to charge her, immediately dashing towards her bow as it rested momentarily from the pain. Kat would pick it up and try to fire again as much as she could. If she would be unable to reach it in time, the archer would try to dodge any attacks from the creature, using her dagger to make any strikes at its arms and face, if able.

[Oda Nobunaga]

Takehiro/Katsumi: Katsumi was able to get to her bow quickly enough that she could fire a few arrows at the Stalker! This, in turn, held it back, so that Takehiro's ax would fly through the air, straight into its head! The weight of the ax caused it to sink lower, and basically split the creature in two! If it wasn't dead from the arrows, it was certainly dead now!

Yukimura/Haji: Yukimura's whip wrapped around the Rogue's head, allowing Haji to go through with his attack! If it didn't die from the broken neck Yukimura would force onto it, it would certainly die from Haji's stabby-stabs!

[Amakusa Takehiro]

"Score!" Takehiro's fist struck the air as he cheered, though he was still in considerable pain. He would retrieve his ax, putting it on his back, and taking his glaive back in his hands. Afterward, he would go up to Hiroshi, just to check and make sure the little guy was okay.

"You alright there, buddy?"

If everything was peachy, he would continue down the path, taking point.

[Sanada Yukimura]

Breathing a sigh of relief as the Rogue was eliminated from the dual efforts of both him and Haji, after placing his whip sword back onto his back, he would quickly retrieve his spear from the hallway it was flung down, and go back to check on Haji.

"Morei-san, do you need any aid? I have one rice cake left... But I don't know how much it will do to help you."

Holding his free hand out for Haji to take, his other hand of his currently still unusable arm holding onto his spear, once helping Haji to his feet, he would re-take his spear into his good hand, and if all was well, he would follow after Takehiro, his spear held at the ready.

[Morei Haji]

"About time..."

I muttered as the monster fell to the ground dead. Looking up to see Yukimura approaching me, offering his hand, I would smile and take his hand. "Ahh, thank you, Sanada-san." I got up, dusting myself off. "Your offer is kind, but I don't think I need it at this time..." I spoke as I looked down at my leg where I was stabbed. It was deep, and it hurt like hell, but... I figured the rice cake could be saved for a later time.

I would sheathe the whip sword on my back, grabbing the dual swords and conjoining them once more, holding it to my side. I would salvage whatever loot I could possibly take from the creature Yukimura and myself had killed, equipping it to myself and feeling my strength further boost. Afterwards, I would follow behind the others, weapon at the ready just in case.

[Shinomori Katsumi]

Huzzah! It died!

Katsumi released a sigh of relief at the creature was split in two. Scratching the side of her head and rubbing her back, upon opening her eyes, Takehiro came towards her and asked if she was alright. Blinking a few times, the girl nodded and responded, "Yeah..."

When he turned around, she saw the cuts on him and gave a small gasp. Despite being pissed at him earlier, all of that seemed to wash away and now she just felt bad about what she had done. She was worried for him, instead.

Running to catch up with him after looting whatever she could on the corpse of the creature and equipping it, Katsumi peered up at him and asked, "What about you, Takehiro? Those don't... they don't look so good."

Remembering her purposefully bumping into his arm, the archer sighed again. The lids of her eyes drooped and she added quietly, "Hey, uh... s... sorry about earlier. I was just... frustrated, is all. About... a lot of things."

And yeah. She would continue walking forward, watching out for any more traps, tiles, or any mean mofos like the ones they have been facing.

[Oda Nobunaga]

At the end of the path, the group was faced with yet another fork! The group could go either left or right. At this point, both routes looked equally suspicious!

[Amakusa Takehiro]

Seeing as Hiroshi was okay, Takehiro felt a little better. When the man expressed concern as to his own well-being, Takehiro couldn't help but smile. Yeah, it did hurt, but he could brave through it for now. He didn't want to look weak in front of the team, especially when he assigned himself the role of the one who'd jump in to the rescue all the time. He would have to just shrug it off.

"Don't worry, Hiroshi, I won't hold it against you. We've all seen some trippy shit in here, eh?" A smile and a pat on the man's shoulder were all he'd contribute to that topic. He could forget about it, no problem.

Upon reaching the fork, Takehiro carefully considered both options. There was no way of knowing which would lead to better luck, or if they were even on the right path, so Takehiro left it up to chance. Going with his gut, he would go to the right. "I really recommend we continue to stick together, with shit like that lurking about, and I'm headed this way." If the others opted to proceed down the other path, that was their decision, and he'd respect it, but his gut urged him to the right.
