Shou would check around the chest for trap, before trying to open it. Either way he would start to drag the chest back to the last set of turnings, and through the other path that he hadn't taken dragging the chest with him. He was aiming to systematically clear out these paths. Bringing every thing he could find with him.

Going through the portal was a odd feeling. Not because it physically felt weird but because of the unknown factor of passing through it. However coming through the other side with everything in place, Shou would look back to see if the portal was still there. Regardless he would continue you on, and when faced with a split in the path went left. The left wall rule was a good one to stick to.

This was bad they had been spotted. "Come on." Shou would say sharply. Knowing that if they tried on moving that the soldiers that spotted the would have two bad option to attempt to take them down rather then good ones. If they stopped to fire, in order to be accurate then Shou and Yamada would gain ground. Jumping up on to his horse Shou would stick a hand out for the spy, before pulling him up, while already pushing 'Gokaze' onwards. The horse was a fast one and if the guards didn't manage to do something then they would easily get away.
If they ran after them, then either they would not be firing at them, or would be forced to fire on the move. Throwing off there aim. It wouldn't have mattered if there was more then just the two of them, as a volley at a group would probably hit someone. However against 2 individual targets having there aim thrown off slightly would make them much harder to hit.

Shou would have a internal heart attack at the voice of the other guard. There was no way he would get to the man to take him down quietly. Shou would turn and point at the market stall and point. "Maybe there." Shou would keep his words short hoping that the man wouldn't notice the difference in voice. As the guard would hopefully turn to look were he had pointed Shou would move closer.
His hand was ready to bring a blade to his hand, and throw it at the man if he tried calling for anyone as he approached. If the man however didn't do so, and was distracted or followed where he had pointed. Shou would jump him, one hand going for his mouth to silence him and cut the man's throat as quickly as he could before breaking out into a run, far enough away from the other guards that they may reach his horse before they heard and came back to investigate.

Shou would see Ichimura up ahead as he turned off the path they were on, and Shou would jog to the intersection had gone down. The gunner seemed to be doing okay, as far as Shou could see. Turning to Maki who he was sure wouldn't be far behind him after being so clear that he wished to leave.
"Take you pick." Shou would say gesturing to the portal and the path that no one had yet to go down with each arm. Shou would wait for maki to make a decision before going down the path or though the portal that Maki hadn't chosen. It was a good excuse to get away from the man, plus Shou was sure if they did find anything that the fighter would try and claim it first.

Senga falls it was a location that Shou loved. It was beautiful especially with the recent snow fall. Shou had heard about the test that Lord Shingen had been assigning to commanders and captains under his command recently. It seemed like an amazing test of will power. Of grit and endurance of body and mind. Something he felt like he needed ever since he had got this demonic suit of armour. Shou remembered the rumours, and what Captain Koboyashi had said been expected of him. 2 hours alone still in the waterfall. Then a trek up the mountain to the nearby shrine, and it would be a trek as it was way too icy for him to climb as he had the last time he was here.
Shou stripped off his clothes and climbed into the river. It was near freezing, only the movement was keeping it from icing over. Swimming out to the bottom of the water fall, Shou moved to sit on one of the rocks, that were they. It was uncomfortable as hell. Shou closed his eyes and tried to force his mind to calmness in order to deal with the cold enveloping him. He wasn’t sure how long passed. Little by little time went by til eventually, a falling piece in ice hit him in the head. It shook him out of what peace he had found and he splashed back down into the water. “Damn it.” Shou curse as he clawed his way back to the surface and regaining his position. It happened another couple of times, either falling ice or a sudden noise making him lose his focus and fall into the water.
However eventually Shou thought 2 hours must have passed, but continued wait, just so no one would say he had cheated. Swimming to land once absolutely sure 2 hours had passed, Shou uncovered his clothes and a towel hidden from the elements under his metal armour. Drying off and putting his slightly damp and cold clothes on, before all of his armour. Shou knew that eventually he would warm slightly his body numb from the cold. He started the long trip around the, unclimbable cliff side.
-5 Hours Down-
The trip around the cliff side was short and on flat land, and not the hard but once it turned to slopes Shou started up wards. He slipped and stumbled something he fell and didn’t feel like getting back up but the desire not to die drove him back to his feet and onwards. The top of the fall came, and even out for a while before it was back to climbing the slopes onwards and upwards harsh winds and snow mixing with his already numb body sapping his energy. However eventually the shire lay up ahead. Heading inside he stripped off the demonic armour and left it by the door. It seemed wrong to take it any fathers. However once inside the warmth of the shrine Shou collapsed and passed out, unsure of how much later he awoke.
-52 Hours Down-
Awake but still feeling like he had been through a one man war, Shou was hungry and hurting. The cold induced sleep not helping as much as normal sleep would. He pulled himself up of the floor and sat on the ground of the shrine crossed legged. Creeping sound, and hurting body sung at him constantly but Shou focused his mind as best he could trying to block them out. It wasn’t working and eventually Shou instead started focusing on the pain. He focused on the pan until nothing else seemed to exist and then passed it. He mind wrapping round the other side of pain, to the absence of pain, the absence of anything. Perfect stillness. Shou lost himself in the nothingness, hungry, pain and tiredness not existing for hours and hours until he final came back to his sense. A empty yet full feeling in his body and heart. The trip back down to Kofu looking like nothing against the vastness of things.
-68 Hours Down-

Shou's eye would dart to the tree being pointed out, and Shou would bite his lips in order to prevent himself cursing aloud. They couldn't run, but maybe they could simply walk away in the right clothes. Shou would notice one group split up, signalling to Yamada with a simple point at his throat and then tugging his own jacket. Shou hoped the spy under stood. Move fast, take away there ability to scream with a simple but effective slit of the throat while preventing blood from spilling on the uniforms with there own clothes before dragging the men behind a tree and pulling the clothes on.
It was the best plan, he had to take the men down. Shou would move out, on light quick steps, his heels barely touching the ground, but not quite enough to be considered a run that might alert the birds. Sliding a dagger a dagger into one hand, Shou would grab the man from behind. A hand holding his jacket over the man's mouth as his second hand would shot up and slit the man's throat spurting blood on to Shou clothes put there for the purpose. Dragging the man aside, Shou would tie his jacket around the man's neck to hold the blood in even though the man was already dead. Before pulling the man's clothes of and pulling them on as fas as he could.
Shou would then step back out of cover, wearing the man's clothes and weapon. Not facing the other group of guards, but half turned away in case the men would recognise his face. Hopefully Yamada would be with him. Slowly purposefully as if searching for themselves Shou would lead Yamada to the market stall. Making a brief show of searching he would move round to the side out of sight and then. Leading Yamada away. Only once they had got far enough that Shou thought the birds wouldn't be alerted would he break in to a run.
Or at least that is what Shou had in mind. When the opportunity arrived, he moved to follow it through before it was lost.

Man that is so hard. Roleplayer of the Month: Kat - Damn does she play her characters well. Character of the Month: Maki - What can I say everyone loves to hate this guy, and I find it so funny. Thread of the Month: Smash Recovery I know its one of my own, but have not had more fun then with this thread. Mix of teamwork, aggression and just really appeals to my DnD mindset.

Here is a list of thought that came to me while talk in chat. Just thought I would put them down all written out so people could discuss them, and hopefully come to a good idea with how to deal with one thing that could be come a issue. Fusing items. It came to my attention that fusing items allowed unlike buy items for items with multiply powers. This however can lead to creating extremely powerful items if fuse well and bad one if not. I feel that those who don't fuse those sort of items for power should get something and as such I believe fusing items should add to the cost if there powers would stack in some way. The following would is a list of what I think is a good way of running fusing items. 1 - Fusing items with no powers, only a power on one item, or powers that absolutely could not stack. (Two items that negate damage to the same location.) Should not effect the price of a upgrade, instead the two items would add the stats of each item together. These items would not gain the benefit of upgrading normally, but if two powerless items were fused, then a power could still be purchased at the normal price of 1000 yen. 2 - Fusing two items which completely different powers. (Items with permanent damage negation, or elemental effects.) Would increase the price of fusing by 400. This would take up both slot for powers that a fused item can have. They would add stats the same as normal fusing. 3 - Fusing two items with the same power but a power which could stack. (Once, twice, ect per a thread items, half damage items.) Should add 800 to the price. These sort of powers would stack as follows. Items that 1/2 damage would, not add to create damage negation but half the damage twice leading to 1/4 damage. (This would not take both the fused items power slots.) While items that gave a number of uses per a thread would stack the number of usages of the power. (This again would not take up both of the power slots of the fused item.) They would add stats the same as normal fusing.
There Should also be a hard limit of 2 power on a item even from fusing. Otherwise A single item could be godlike. The reason for charging less for completely different powers, is this leads to a hard limit of two powers. While stackable powers could be stacked in the same slot, granting a large number of uses of a really good power. Allow a item originally not meant to negate damage pretty much do so, or damage multiplying item (If they come around) increasing in multiplier. Trading Trading between character is nice. Being able to give friend a item when they stat, or your own character a item (As banning this just leads to loop holes anyway.) allows newer character to have a chance when joining late, rather then having to slog it out to be a contender in the RP world. This leads to two question, trading money and selling/gifting items to other players. On the point of taxation the answer is simply. Tax should be 20% of the money given. The reason behind this is any less and player will do so often, selling a item and removing it from the game and then gifting the money would always be a better choice. While charging more would meaning giving some one a item and the letting them sell it would always be the better choice. As paying the larger tax on the smaller amount given back after would be better then trading a lump sum straight out. As such I believe that the tax rate (If one is made) Should be tied with the cost of selling items. Now as for selling items to other players, I personally like the idea, in fact I prefer it over the idea of just gifting items (But banning gifts just leads to selling super cheap) I don't think gifting items should be free, to prevent items jumping around like old cds. So I would charge gifting a small flat fee of 100, to be made up from giver or receiver. It either this or put a limit on trading items, and when traded listing when they may be traded again. Selling items however should always be at a reasonable price. Where it is still cheaper then making the item themselves but still a good option for the seller. In fact to encourage people to sell to other players rather then just to the store where those items would be lost forever. I would say that the seller get 85% of the cost of the items, while the buyer pays 80%. (Yes this leads to money from nowhere but I don't mind that as much as interesting items being lost. ) Some may say way set a price for selling to other players, and I say because it makes a distinction between someone selling and gifting a item. If you want to gift a item you don't want money, while if your selling it for 1/10 it's cost you don't want it you are pretty much willing to give away already but are trying to make a buck at the same time anyway. (Maybe I'm black hearted, of thinking people are like that sorry. But i've seen it before.) Another interesting way to do this, is almost the reverse. Don't allow selling to other players but add sold items to a list, and allow other to buy the items at 85% percent compared to the original 80% that the seller got for it. This however is more work and could lead to a really long list of items and is why i didn't take this one as seriously. DONE NOW sorry for text wall.

Shou would head to the firing range when word came to him that they were to test their ability with firearms, finding it slightly strange that his unit were expect to. They had learnt how to use bow, ride horses, at this rate Koboyashi’s unit was going to be a sort of squad of all trades. Men capable of doing a bit of everything. “What on earth are you wearing Yamabara?” Koboyashi would ask as he approached. Looking down at himself, Shou realised how odd the demonic armour he had recently acquired looked hidden un the large loose clothes, he had gotten purely to cover their appearance, it was better than allowing the others to see the armour without it. The mask of the set currently not wore and hidden away. “I’m trying to teach myself how to hide armour under my clothes, it isn’t going very well.” Shou lied pulling the clothes around him tighter.
“So what exactly is on today’s agenda?” He asked as a deflection. Koboyashi picked up an unused rifle and bandoleer and threw them at Shou. “Ten shots, eight in the head. And ten shots, seven hit versus a moving target. Quite like the archer training really. Plus the men already know how to load a gun even if they aren’t a very good shot.” Koboyashi explained as Shou caught the weapon and slung the bandoleer over a shoulder. “Doesn’t sound too hard and I don’t even use a gun.” Shou said confidently, the armour demonic influence made him feel unstoppable a little practise even with a weapon he wasn’t use to seemed like a walk in the park.
Arrogant to a certain extent, Shou walked to the line loaded the weapon as he did so, pulled it up with barely aiming and fired. Recoil hit him, totally unexpected throwing his aim off completely. The shoulder of the target next to the one he had been trying for breaking as the small steel ball of his weapon hit it. “You were saying. Take things seriously messenger boy.” Koboyashi ordered, causing Shou actually blush to himself at the folly of his over confidence. Reloading the weapon, Shou aimed properly the second time and fired. The weapon struck the target in the chest and Shou made note of how much the recoil threw off his aim.
Reloading once more and now knowing how in accurate the weapon was, Shou would take the task ahead seriously as ordered. Pulling out the mask from where it was hidden and placing it on, he suddenly felt more focused. Lining up his shot each time with what looked right, and then slightly changing his aim to compensate for the recoil of the weapon before firing. Eight more shot would ring out from his rifle, not fast but slow and purposeful. Each ball hitting the intended target in the head as was the idea. Shou turned to the others, putting his rifle over his shoulder. Only to be greeted by the sight of shocked faces and a few of the guns aimed in his direction. “It’s still me guys.” Shou said pulling up the mask. His hair would suddenly shorten and return to being black. “It’s meant to scare the enemy armies into fleeing like dogs.” Shou lied once more, not liking doing so, but sliding the mask back on. Wearing it gave him an edge he needed.
“Well it’s scaring the men. Keep it off Yamabara.” Koboyashi ordered, causing Shou’s eye to cringe under the mask, but Shou followed the order. Removing the mask and putting it away. So much for that edge, Shou thought to himself. “Get back to it men.” Koboyashi ordered, heading back over to a nearby pile of sandbags alongside another man. “You ready Yamabara?” Koboyashi asked, Shou nodded in reply having already reloaded and ready the rifle. Koboyashi and the other man launched the bag into the air and Shou tried to follow it and fire, missing completely. The lack of mask and the power the demonic set of gear seemed to give him, seriously being missed now.
The next bag would come and much like the previous training with the bow, Shou tried to lead the bag firing ahead. However the much greater speed of the rifle’s round causing him to shoot in front of the bag rather than hitting it. The next he tried the same but stopped his aim and fire as the bag passed by, catching the corner of the thing and causing sand to spill through the sky. Those that followed he found the sweet spot of when to fire, pulling the trigger of his rifle just before the bag would pass in front of his aim. Each shot better than the last. Hitting the bag more directly, causing it to burst open more and spill more of its sand before it hit the ground. Finally done, Shou went and replaced the man helping the captain throw the bags, so that the rest of the unit could take their turns.

Shou watched as Maki checked once more for trap and supring Shou found none. Well they had been lucky, maybe this maze wasn't as deadly as the two chamber before it, slightly disappointing plus Maki had already laid claim to whatever he had found. Shou wished he had checked now, if it was more of this armour, it's power almost made up for it demonic appearance.
"Well guess we have to go back and find the others." Shou said heading back the way they came. Eventaully when Shou came back he would go to the next path. "Shall we, or do you feel like going after one of the others." Shou would ask once the reached the first turning left of the right path.

Yamada informed Shou of his opinion of the idea of attacking the soldiers while no one else was present as well as his skill with his weapon. Shou wasn't the spy here, Yamada was, and therefore knew more about the soldier ability then Shou did by a lot. Shou didn't even wait to follow Yamada down from the roof to the first tree as he made his way to next, having seen the soldiers about to spot them if they remained where they were. Moving from tree to tree, Shou noticed the spy freeze and why and suddenly didn't want to be here anymore. Six soldiers was no joke, and if Yamada could handle only 2 at most Shou would have to take the rest. Their had to be another way out.
He could rust out and lead them away, but that would leave Yamada alone and on foot without a idea where Shou's horse was. Shou could also try the trick from before, but no viable target that would cause enough of a distraction presented itself without risking moving out and being spotted. Or they could wait and hope that the troops managed to miss them. Sometimes knowing when not to act was the smartest course of action. Shou would keep a eye on one group, and on Yamada and signal the man to circle the tree to avoid being spotted by the grouup near him. Hoping that the spy would pick up on his idea and returning the favour so that the group near him would see him either. From there they would have to wait until on of the groups moved off. Then they should be able to carry on moving tree to tree to reach the market stall. Then with the larger obstruction blocking line of sight make a break for it.

Shou would watch the guard groups in there search. Noting the less then systematical search pattern they were using. It was less effective then it could have been but it did mean predicting there movements would be harder. However the entrance of the village was in sight. A few more roof tops, then the hard part would start. Shou and the Spy would go on cautiously waiting until a opportunity came before rushing to the next roof as silent and quick as they could until they where on the last roof.
The cover from here was lacking, only a few trees and a single stall. The well that the 4th patrol group not far from them and clearly able to see them if they made a break for it. Shou didn't like this. Turning to the spy Shou would whisper as quietly as he could. "How good are you with the sword?" He asked. "If we jumped them do you think we could take them down before they called for help." Shou added not seeing much of a option. If they were spotted between here and the trees then they would be to far to prevent them raising the alarm.

Maki was not only annoying as hell but it seemed kind of paranoid. Though Shou found amusing that the man had actively tried to protect him. Maybe the man was serious that nothing but he would kill him. Looking over his shoulder Shou would see everyone split off in different direction awnsering his question. Shou would continue on. And Maki and Shou would probably end up side by side. Both wanting to lead.
However it wasn't long a few twist and turns and they were already at a dead end with a chest in it. "Daggers don't really trigger pressure plates. After you." Shou would say with feinted politeness. Waving and hand out towards the chest. If the swordsman was that paranoid about traps. He could check the chest, Shou didn't mind given up going first if it was the smart thing to do.

The demonic blade flew through the air, spinning with a unnatural grace. Strands of dry grass, fluttered into the air as the blade cut through them returning to his hand. Shou stood there blade in hand, demonic armour covered as best as he could in a large cloak like kimono. The mask of the set how every was not on, it hung from his neck loosely. He couldn't bring himself to wear the appearance altering object unless he needed the seemingly magical boost the demonic mask gave him.
Shou continued to practise with the new weapon. Throwing it out in a arc with one hand, catching it as it return in the other hand and repeating. Each time slowly clearing the area beside the path, where he had stopped for lunch and training, of grass bit by bit.
The weapon was amazing however, clearing a area of grass while good for practising with the weapon strange properties wasn't really something that would allow him to use it better in a fray. A shame, he couldn't wait until he reached all the way back home in Kofu to find someone to train with.

Shou face cringed when he had the smash of glass rather then the slam of shutters, but nevertheless it seemed to have the intended result. Yamada quickly told he they had to move, leaping from there current location to the other roof, before the last of the guards could turn back around and see. Shou was impressed with the spy's jumping ability there was obviously a reason he had been the one here.
Shou would follow as quick as he could. Leaping from the edge of the current building towards the next. However unlike the other who easily made it, Shou caught the side of the roof in the stomach, but quickly turned his momentum into a quick climb and rolled as well before pushing himself flat as well. If the pair of them kept up this sort of progress they would reach the edge of the village soon, and then could make a break for his horse. It just came down to, if they were seen and if any patrols where in the direction the were heading.

Shou would be pulled inside the room like the first one, but kept his footing this time. Quickly he looked around the room they were in, blade in hand at the ready. The room split off into multiply paths. Shou would head towards the straight path, as with no path leading to the left it was the left most out of those available.
"Follow the left wall, and go quick but together? Or split up?" Shou would ask, still remaining by the path he had chosen. Either way he planned to follow the left wall. It wasn't a guaranteed way of solving a collection of path. They could be designed to have it not work, but the means of solving those were not something someone was going to be doing in the head and on the fly. At least following the left wall would tell him what sort of maze this was.
If following the wall work, then it was a simple one all ways connecting to the other. If it didn't then they had started either in the middle or out side while the exit or end was in the other. That wasn't taking into account up or down, but as no path lead up and down that was highly unlikely so far but would immediately be obvious if it happened.

The group retreated from the middle chamber, and Shou watched the swell of monsters, slam into the door creating a barrier of darkness preventing them from going back. It was then Shou looked around at the other. Noticing the demonic changes in those in the group that had don the armour. Shou would quickly grab his hair, noticing it was longer then before and pull it in front of his face. It was bright white much to his surprise. Shou tossed the hair back over his shoulder, before packing up the second set of the strange armour, wondering how exactly he was going to get rid of the strange side effect.
"Odd." Shou said no other words coming to mind. Before he turned to look at the two chest they had and then to the final door. So far they hadn't given in, and with this armour he felt great. It was unsettling to wear but it obviously must have made the knight as tough as they had been. "Shall we?" Shou would asked a waving gesture made towards the last door his new sword in hand.

Shou saw the things get closer then he had hoped by the time he caught his sword. However much to Shou surprise Maki stepped up, and destroyed them, as they knocked Shou back. Shou looked around and saw they other deal with the rest of the creatures and knights.
"You know what, they just keep coming. Lets get out of here before we get overwhelmed." Shou suggested dashing, back towards the entrance, a hand reaching down and quickly dragging one of the knight equipment with him. HE wouldn't leave completely unless the others agreed. But each time there had been more and more. How long was it until those knight came more then 5 at a time. Then they would be messed.

Shou would taking a jumping stepped back as 3 of the creatures leap from the ceiling towards him. Catching his new sword in his off hand as it arced back towards him. Shou would follow the motion into a strike bringing the sword across to slash at the things before they even touched the ground. Continuing through he would spin on the spot before letting his blade spin out of his hand once more.
This time it would be aimed at on of the knight, planning to take it's head off just like he had done with his first ever use of the weapon. during his spin, Shou would slide a set of dagger's into his right hand as a claw to defend himself against anything that attacked him, before the sword could return.

Shou would quickly crouch down and gather the rest of the gear that the dark knight seemed to have been using. As his blade flew through the air taking the helmet off the creature. Shou would pull on the armour as quickly as he could. One hand reaching out and grabbing the blade flying through the air as it returned to him. Suddenly the knight being attack exploded from throwing the other around. Shou looked around as more orb surrounded them, and he was the only one standing.
"Guy's get up." Shou would shout more a hopeful statement rather then a order. It was then he looked up at due to yet more shrieks. Shou would throw three dagger almost randomly in the direction of the charging ground forces. There was enough of them that one was likely to hit something. With his other hand, Shou threw his new sword in almost boomerang arc, at the creatures on the ceiling. Hoping to sever the legs of as many as possible in the flight of the sword before it returned to him.

Shou took note of the other search parties. A hand on Yamada's shoulder as they where both pressed again the roof flat. Using the roofs to get around seemed like a good idea. But in order to make progress Shou and Yamada would have to get to the roof of one of the building opposite where they were now. From over the other side of the path of the village. In direct view of one of the groups.
He needed to create a distraction. Examining the street Shou looked the building over. Father down the street Shou could see one of the village building with open window shutters. A idea forming in his mind. Shou would crouch up a fraction in order to get a better view, before sliding a dagger into his hand and tossing it towards the building. Hopefully it would hit the shutters as plan, causing them to slam close and cause enough of a sound to distract the guards.

"Thanks" Shou would say at Naotora with a nod dashing forward and grabbing the strange knights sword from the ground. He had been impressed at the fact it could seemingly fly through the air so easily. Shou would slice the blade towards the ground, shaking off as much of his own blood as he could as possible and turn to see the last two knights.
Both gunners seemed to be doing pretty well against there foe. "Lets have a test." Shou mutter to himself before throwing the blade at the handless knight head. He would like to see the creature deflect the blade, with one no hands and two no ability to notice the weapon was coming.

Shou looked over his shoulder over to Yamada before looking back at the group he could see searching for them. It would be foolish to assume that they were the only group out looking for them. If he had thought they were Shou would have risked hitting them hard and fast before they realised what was going on. Currently the group he could see however didn't seem like they were going to find them immediately, but another he couldn't see may do so if they didn't move soon.
"Follow my lead." Shou whispered
They needed to get out of the village, his horse wouldn't be far out of town. If they could to get to it unseen it would be smooth all the way back home. However that seemed unlikely. Shou would wait until the group he could see wasn't looking in his direction, before rushing out silently dragging Yamada with him. Shou would aim for for cover behind one of the village building before literally jumping up and kicking up the wall to get above. From there he would pull Yamada up after him as quickly as he could. The high ground would be somewhere they could not only stay out of sight, but Shou could see where any other patrols he assumed they would be were so that he could try and plan a escape route.
