APPEARANCE

Reasonable tall compared to those around him, Shou still seems small around them. Due to a lean build, and a humble way of holding himself around others. He is normally seen in plainly coloured grab of blacks, browns or whites. While his clothes a traditional in style they are altered. His kimino and umanori hakama are tighter than normal. His hair tied back in to a small ponytail manages to still be messy, strand sticking out too short to be tied back the rest of his hair. Fresh face with high cheek bone, he still has youthful features. Under his clothes his back in peppered with a selection of small scars.

PERSONALITY

Shou is a mix of two obsession feeding off of one another. Serving his lord and clan, and physical perfection to fulfil his role as messenger for him. While not working his trains constantly in order to be better. While obsessed with these things he does allow himself freedom to enjoy life. Druing breaks from delivering messengers and training he does his best to relax but often let himself become distracted by helping those in need if he can.

Not normally prone to violence, and by some seen as a coward, Shou is extremely protective of those he cares about. Having learn to fight some, since his family death he swore that if a loved one was ever in harm’s way again, rather than seeking help he would try and save themselves. This would be one of the only reasons he may fail to deliver a message promptly, as while he is extremely loyal to preforming his lord’s tasks. Once forced to fight however, he fight like a man possessed caring little for his own health. Letting loose of the anger and bitterness he feels for having failed his family out on whoever he may be fighting. Refusing to give in until he has too. 

Shou is a caring individual, helping those he see who need help. Be it helping to carry something beyond them, or a kind word where he can. He longs for a peaceful world where everyone looks out for each other, and while he knows that such a dream is pretty much unattainable he hope for it regardless. 

HISTORY 

Shou grew up in small farming village alongside his mother and 3 older brother, and most of his younger life was dull repetitive experience, trying to get by on the little that his family had. However one day at the age of 17, was that day he lost everything he had, and gained everything his has now. Seclude and mostly unprotected it was that day that raiders came to the village in order to steal what they could. 

Unwilling to let everything be stolen away from them, Shou jumped one of the bandits and stole his horse trying to ride to the nearest city in order to beg for assistance from the local lords to deal with the bandits before the bleed his village dry. As he attempted to tide away though, some of the bandit fired arrows at him. He was struck multiply times in the back, but however rode onwards. 

Eventually he reached the lord but was at deaths door once he did. Unable to pass on his message before falling to his wound. Wondering why he had come the lord instructed his physician to try and save Shou’s life that he may know what message he came with. Time passed and against all odds and down to the skill of the lord physician Shou survived. 

Once he recovered Shou passed on his message and begged for the assistance of the Lord. The Lord, Matsudaira Kazuko, a vassal of the Takeda Clan agreed and sent men to Shou’s villageto liberate it from the bandit that had taken it over. However once the town was freed Shou discovered that his family had been killed as a threat to the rest of the village against fighting back, and as punishment for Shou having stolen from them. Enraged he cursed the other of the village for doing nothing and standing by as his family was killed. Returning to the city with liberating forces, he returned to Matsudaira Kazuko and swore to serve him and the Takeda clan in any way that he could. 

Matsudaira Kazuko accepted his services and put Shou to work as a messenger and courier having been impressed by the young man ability to have ridden so far while injured. Shou threw his life into it. Training his body and learning to ride and fight, so that he could carry any message for his lord. So that never again may a tragedy befall someone because he failed.

Bio

While Shou is a courier on not often in the same chain of military command, as soldiers, he is on certain occasions. At those times, be they training drills, helping the people of the Takeda lands or fighting should it come to it. Shou is considered part of Captain Koboyashi unit. Originally a mercenary, who was employed by the Takeda, Koboyashi eventaully came to agree with the Takeda was, and swore fealty to Lord Shingen and the Takeda. He finds the fluctuating position of Shou in his unit, annoying at times jokingly mocking Shou's work as courier. Though underneath respects the other man's loyalty.

Bio
A spy for the Takeda, Yamada spent quite some time in Uesugi territories . However while Shou was on his way to meet him, the spy cover was discovered and the pair had to escape hostile territory together. Shou protected Yamada and was injured in the process, however they escaped and Shou ended up earning Yamada's respect.

INVENTORY

Weapons 

Primary - Demon's Blade of Returning: This sword resembles a sakabato with its reverse blade, the part that should be sharp being blunt. On the opposite side, rather than a single blade, it is ridged, providing for rending cuts. +6 Str +6 Dex.

Power: This blade can be telepathically controlled to an extent. It acts much like a boomerang, returning to its master after being thrown. The effect cannot be used unless it is in its owners possession.

Secondary - The Yamabara Flying Talons: *Upgraded Once* A set of talon-like curved throwing daggers, inlaid with a black and green medallion in each side of the handle. Designed to rip and slash through opponents flesh rather than penetrate directly upon connecting. +5Dex, +3 Wis, Steel - 60 Yen, Demon Medallion - 60 Yen

Power: By pressing the medallion, these daggers when thrown can be made to create a 5 foot area of shadow. This shadow obscures sight but is not complete darkness. This darkness last until the end of the users next post.

Ghost Shell: Blades that attach to the front of greaves, the angle of the blades appear almost invisible to the eye, making it seem like the wearer is attacking with nothing at all.

Headband of the Keen-Eyed Scout: (Cloth) – This thin leather and cloth headband, holds back the users hair, allowing them to see what may normally be missed. +5 Wis.



Power: The wearer can block out the rest of the world in order to focus his gaze. This allows the wearer to see much greater distances, or see minute detail of things closer. While using this power the user will miss event around them that they are not focused on.

Chest plate - 

Purified Rouge’s Chest Plate: *Upgraded Once* This once demonic chest plate has now been purified, it fits snugly on the wearer's chest, providing them maximum mobility and comfort. +10 Con, +2 Str
Power 1: Unbreakable/Unpieceable.
Power 2: Once per thread can return half the damage from a blow to the torso.

Shoulders - 

Cloak of the Intrepid Spymaster: (Glass, Cloth) – This sleek cloth cloak is covered in a film of black glass dust, reflecting little light and seemingly absorbing even sound. +5 Dex.



Power: The wearer may choose to become completely silent. This power stops functioning if they move from where they stand.

Necklace - 

Locket of the Uncanny Trickster: (Cloth, Straw, Wood) – This small locket of a necklace, is made of weaved straw circled in a ring of painted wood, hanging from a simple leather cord. Upon the straw, the symbol of luck rests for when times are dire. +5 Dex


Power: Once per thread, the wearer may call upon good luck to assist them. When activated some coincidence allows them to dodge a blow, or distract a foe into releasing a grapple on the wearer.

Arms - 
Spymaster Secret Shots: (Demon Medallion) – *Upgraded Once* Once a pair of Uesugi gauntlets these have been stripped down, the hand section removed, and converted into a pair of sturdy bracers. Added on to these bracers a concealed one-shot poison dart launcher has been added. +5 Con, +4 Wis

Power: Twice per thread/Once per each bracer. May fire a small dart covered in poison. This poison weakens the target. This reduces the targets base STR and DEX by ¼ the users Total SPR, rounded down, this effect cannot lower a character base STR or DEX below 10. This effect last on the target for 3 posts.

Gauntlets - Gloves of the Trickster’s Trick Shot: (Cloth, Demon Medallion) – This pair of simple leather gloves are set with Medallions of wind elemental power, given superior control of ranged weapons. +5 Dex



Power: One projectile (Thrown Weapon, Arrow, Bullet, Ect..) per post may be made to ricochet. This ricochet must been done off a solid object, such as the ground, walls or heavy objects. Powers that activate upon hitting something activate on the ricochet not the intended target unless they can activate multiply times.

Rings - Ring of the Gauntlet: For running the gauntlet as well as you did, you earn a ring to assert your manliness! +3 all stats

Ring of the Tireless Courier: (Stone) – This small obsidian ring, weight a lot for its size. Constantly reminding them that no journey is beyond them. +5 Con.



Power: The wearer does not tire from walking, jogging or running. However carrying a large burden or other physically hard tasks do so normally.

Hakama -Flowery Hakama: Assert your femininity with these beautiful hakama! +5 Con 
Power: When wearing these hakama, everyone finds Shou to be attractive!

Belt - Mon of the Takeda: The symbol of the Takeda clan, bestowed upon those who have proven their worth among the Takeda ranks. +3 Str. Add-On Item. This item can be worn in any slot as an add-on. CANNOT BE SOLD OR TRADED.

Boots of the Agile Trickster: (Straw, Cloth, Wood) These sturdy boots made of more traditional materials, are designed for moving quickly. + 5 Dex



Power: The wearer can call up a burst of speed and agility equal to 1/2 Base DEX; however any attacks they make are seriously less accurate or skilled. This may be used once a thread per 10 points of SPR.

Good Luck Charm: Meant to protect you in battle. Add on Item: Can be worn in any slot along with another item. +8 Str, +8 Wis, +8 Dex, +8 Spr, +8 Con

Miscellaneous

 2 x Onigiri: A rice ball wrapped in seaweed. Heals all minor wounds obtained in current thread. +5 Con for 5 posts. Only thing that stacks is the posts. Up to three in a stack. 

2 x Kibi Dango: Once consumed provides a boost of energy. +3 Con for two posts. Only thing that stacks is the posts. Up to three in a stack.

2 x Large Mochi: Heals all minor wounds obtained in the current thread. +5 Con for two posts. Only thing that stacks is the posts. Up to three in a stack. 

Breath of Kagutsuchi: This strange liquid seems to burn your very blood upon drinking it, though it makes you feel stronger afterward! +5 Spr for the next 3 posts. Any bleeding wounds inflicted during the duration are automaticaly cauterized.

Musou

Light Manipulation

Simple Powers –  1 – The user can create small light sources with ease.

                                2 – The user can see better in shadowy conditions.

Lingering Effect – A Light Musou user can boost others and themselves. The user may cause wounds to slowly heal, they heal at a rate of ½ Spr. This lingering effect can only effect one person at a time. It is counted by the Darkness Musou, dark rot. This lasts 1 post per 20 Spr, and may not be used on the same person more than once a thread unless the user consumes a Musou Wine.

Movement – This works like an opposite of the Darkness version. Allow the user to jump to place of light; they may not jump into shadows. At night they may only jump into light. May only teleport once in a single post.

Protective – A Light Musou user may add ½ Spr to Con against elemental attacks except darkness. The may added ¼ Spr to Con against physical attack.

Range Attacks – A Light Musou wielder may fire blast of Light. They may fire 1 Large projectile, which does Spr in damage, or they may split it into small projectiles. These do Spr in damage divided by the number of projectiles rounded down.
A Light Musou user may bolster weapons with the power of light. They add ¼ the Dex granted by the weapon, this may be used on other but only lasts for one post.

Melee Attacks – A Light Musou user can bolter weapons with the power of light. They add ¼ Spr to the Str of the attacks they make. This may be used on others but lasts for only one post.

Doppelganger – A Light Musou wielder may create a light clone. While doing so they may not use other forms of Musou. This doppelganger has stats equal to the users Spr and last 1 post for every 5 Spr or until the user is Musou fatigued. This clone is treated as being under the Light Protective power, and may attack with the Light Musou bolstered attacks. It may cause lingering effects. Large amounts of darkness can destroy the clone. Those with a Dark Musou may do double damage when using it against the clone.

Invisibly – A Light Musou user can render themselves near impossible to see. This last for 1 post per 5 Spr or until Musou fatigue. The user cannot use other forms of Musou while invisibly.

Pieceing Light - A Light Musou user can make any attack they use in one post effect Base Con rather then Total Con. Using this power uses up a extra use of Musou.
