Masahiro would successfully stab and kill the crawler with his hidden blade! He'd be able to throw the body off of him and make a dash for his sword, but he wouldn't make it, as he would be tripped, just inches from the blade and landing face first! The remaining six crawlers then proceeded to kick and stomp on him while he was on the ground!

Masahiro's assault would successfully slay the slower creatures, but before he could react, the crawlers would be on him! He would find himself kicked to the ground, and the crawlers would continue to stop and kick him while he was done! Additionally, his weapon would be dropped and one of the crawlers would kick it away from Masahiro by a horrible stroke of luck!

Hidenori had passed, although Kenshin could see the doubts that plagued his mind and actions. The man, the one he saw as a son, had managed to overcome those feelings, and wield his blade more true to himself, and Kenshin smiled at Hidenori's growing resolve.
He watched in amusement at the beginning of Katsumi's trial, realizing how much further ahead she was than the rest of the ones who came here to be tested. He watched intently as the two grew further in distance, out of earshot. It escalated, and Katsumi ended up on the ground, her shadow ready to execute her. Aya was about to dispel the incantation and call the phantom off to save her life, but Kenshin raised his hand to stop her. "No, keep watching... she isn't out for the count." And as expected, Katsumi had gotten up and overcame herself, she too had passed, at the skin of her teeth. He would keep an eye on her, she would prove most promising.
Kanetsugu stepped up next, beginning to speak.
"Your next trial should be a simpler one... all you have to do is cross this line by my feet." He pulled out his sword, slicing along the ground to great a long, visible line.
The recruits lined up, seeming relieved by this much simpler task, and one at a time, they would run towards Kanetsugu. As soon as they came halfway, however, he threw three talismans into the air, and a great force began to push down on the man. The waves came in alternating turns, the first wave would push down on the person hard, the second would attempt to fling them backwards, and the third would come from either side, making them feel as if they were crushed. Kanetsugu's talismans were weighing heavily down upon the man, and he and many others found themselves unable to get through across the line. Very few would make it.
"You'll find, it's not as simple as you might think. How many of you are willing to push your body this far?"

Katsumi's plan to get the villagers to help her fortify the dam would be grueling, but it would end a success. The dam would be a lot more durable thanks to the supports, and while it wasn't completely fixed nor permanently in place, the worst was over and the village would not be overrun.
At the completion of her work, the storm would completely subside as if out of nowhere, and the sun would shine down on her. She had single-handedly saved these people from a watery death.
"You have done well, Katsumi..." she would hear a strange voice speak directly into her head, before she was sent back to her own world, waking up in her bed.
(Trial 1 of 10 passed. You are awarded +2 Exp to use as you see fit. When you desire, I will start the second trial for you.)

The turtle shell would go flying along the ground, smacking the large turtle suited man! He would do a small jump before falling into the water way and seemingly through the ground, a strange melody would play as he was struck before disappearing into the ground! Katsumi's path was now free to go down the waterway before turning left or right at the end. |

As soon as Masahiro grabbed the chest, he would hear unearthly screams throughout the entire room. If he looked at the walls, he would see 8 creatures bursting in through the walls! And on the floor from the other side of the room, mounds of darkness would grow from the ground, bursting and revealing the swift Crawlers!All would be charging at Masahiro, intent on tearing him limb from limb! Masahiro's attack would be a massive success! Slaying not only the remaining five undead soldiers, but the five creatures as well!
If he looked across the room, an large door of light would open up, revealing an ornate chest behind it, identical to the one he previous obtained in the other path, the Daimyo's treasure!

Masahiro's attack would prove successful, and he would wipe out five of the enemies approaching him! However, his sword would wind up lodged in the torso of the fifth opponent, stuck, while the other enemies advanced upon him, planning to impale him! Additionally, a hole in the ceiling opened up near the back of the room, and soon, creatures could be seen climbing along the rooftops! They charged towards Masahiro while he was dealing with the other enemies! (OOC: Creature stats: Str: 20 Dex: 18 Con: 15 Wis: 15 Spr: 15) |

The first turtle would be pierced, flying back into the other turtle! They'd fall to the ground and would shrink into their shells with a shriek, the shells lying still on the ground!
If Katsumi looked along the path, yet another obstacle was coming her way! It was another giant turtle suit wearing man, this time he was holding onto fake wings and flapping them around, jumping every so often to imitate flight! And he was headed right for her!

As Masahiro kicked open the middle door, he would be pulled inside by a dark energy, being lifted off the ground and thrown into the chamber. While he were in the air, he would be hit by a cloud of smoke, which smelled of death and decay. The chamber was large, at least twenty feet high and eighty wide, though the length of it was hard to tell. Bodies of the dead lined the walls and floor, and as he would hit the ground, the dead would let out shrieks of terror and pain, standing to their feet and charging at the him!
If he tried to run, he would find the path behind them was blocked off, sealed by a powerful dark energy that could not be broken through!
[OoC: Middle Chamber Initiated. Survive the gauntlet, take the chest, and run. Do not be incapacitated. Defeat as many enemies as you can. You will be graded on your kill count.

Masahiro, distracted by his act of throwing the chest, wouldn't have enough time to unleash his special technique! In the middle of his somersault in midair, he'd be met with a club to the stomach, knocking him down! The enemies would proceed to kick him on the ground! Luckily, the chest had reached the exit, and began to pull everything out towards it! Masahiro would make it through with the chest, while the creatures remained sealed in the left path. The last thing Masahiro saw before the door shut was the undead warriors flipping him off for escaping!
(OOC: You are awarded the Gold medal. You may either go along to another path for potentially greater rewards, or you may leave with just this one chest and obtain the rewards within. If you fail another path, you will still get the reward for this path.)

Masahiro would manage to take out three of the crows, as well as pull the chest to his side. Managing to crawl past the pendulum blades with the chest, one would hope he was in the clear... The walls crumbled on either side of the entrance, and three undead warriors walked out to impede Masahiro's path. If he wanted to escape, he had to deal with them, as well as the two crows behind him still! The warriors were armed with clubs, and they advanced on Masahiro, intent on beating him to death! (OOC: Undead warrior stats: 15 across) |

The chest wouldn't go very far! It would get caught by the ceiling trap smashing down, causing it to stay in place, Masahiro would have to go back for it! Additionally, the arrows and the ceiling trap would move three times as fast! Pendulum blades would appear from the walls, appearing by the entrance and going back and forth, and to make matters worse, they were slowly moving their way towards Masahiro! Furthermore, a slot in the ceiling would open, and a small cage appeared, opening up to reveal five crows, who would charge straight for the man! He had to be quick-witted to get out of this one!
