Princess Peach

[Shinomori Katsumi]

Type of Quest: Rescue
Quest Info: Saving the "princess" from the tower. Basically, some really rich person's daughter is being held captive, and Katsumi has been hired to infiltrate the castle and rescue her. Mario, anyone?
Location: Someplace by the sea.
People Involved: Katsumi, thugs, “princess”
Plot-Important: Besides amusing awkwardness upon the arrival of the hero to come and rescue the infatuated girl? No. Lol.

[Uesugi Kenshin]

Katsumi would find herself outside of a castle. There were two guards guarding the entrance past a drawbridge, and a total of four sentries posted along the top of the wall, patrolling the perimeter and occasionally taking a peek downwards. It seemed there was a ladder leading up to the top wall. A solitary guard would be guarding an area much lower, leading to a waterway beneath the castle. She'd have the choice to enter through the front, use the ladder to sneak up onto the wall, or traverse into the castle's waterways.

The tower would almost completely opposite from her side of the castle. Her task would be to rescue the princess, and not allow any guards to harm or kill her. Hopefully, her princess wouldn't be in another castle. The guards are also wearing weird mushroom hats.

It was nearly midnight, Katsumi wanting to use the darkness as a better cover. There was a total of seven guards at the front of the castle, and she needed to get inside to save the princess, or whatever the hell she was. Some rich guy's daughter. Whatever.

Going through the entrance was too risky, plus foolhardy. That wasn't Kat's style. There was a ladder that led up to the top of the wall, but there were too many sentries patrolling on the wall for her to take them all out without one noticing and then alerting the rest of the guards. That could potentially endanger the princess if they grew paranoid, and so Katsumi scratched that out. Which left the one guard at the waterways. She could take them out one by one after she already infiltrated the castle, disguising herself as a guard and picking them off one by one.

Drawing nearer, staying among the trees, Katsumi would eventually stop and kneel down. Taking careful aim, the archer would shoot at the sentry's head, wanting to immediately kill him so that he wouldn't make a peep that could potentially alert the others.

Rushing forward if she successfully killed the sentry, slipping through and blending with the shadows, Katsumi reached the castle wall, right at the waterways. Before slipping inside, the girl's brows furrowed and she stopped, peering down at the man. What in the actual fuck?

"Is that... a... mushroom?"

After a very long pause with her staring at the hat-thing in confusion, she would blink and slowly shake her head, before moving forward.

"Focus, Katsumi. Forget the weird mushroom thing. Yes."

Her logical mind was having a hard time coping with something so simple (yet odd.) She really hoped nothing else weird was inside... you so know that's an invitation for weird shit galore <3

The soldier was instantly killed by Katsumi's arrow, and the poor guy's blood would seep through his head, blending in with the red spots on his mushroom hat.

Inside the waterway, there would be a straight path leading to a fork going either left or right. At the end of the straight path, she could see a couple of figures walking by... if she got closer, she would notice guys walking around in full turtle suits, with little baby turtles walking alongside them. They looked pretty angry while they patrolled this area.

Katsumi had no choice but to go forward and quietly trudged through the water. Upon drawing nearer, her keen eyes caught in the dimly lit path ahead sen... wait. What the heck were those things?

"W... What in... the actual fuck???"

Did she accidentally consume opium in her last meal or something? Kat had heard about the effects of the drug and she became seriously concerned about her mental well-being right now.

Clenching her eyes tightly shut, she opened them and, at still seeing the turtle men, she slapped her cheeks a few times for good measure. Nope. Still there. Fuck.

Not really sure what exactly to do, Katsumi hid in the shadows and, focusing on her spirit, conjured up a gust of wind to quickly raise up the (presumably) light baby turtles and hit the weird guard-things in the head with them.

Worth a try with all of the weirdness going on, right?

[Uesugi Kenshin]

The little turtles would begin to float thanks to Katsumi's Musou. They would shriek wildly, unsure of what was going on. As she smashed them into the two larger men, they would also shriek, suddenly their limbs and head would shrink into the shells and the shells would lay on the floor completely still. The little turtles sprouted wings and began to fly at Katsumi very slowly!

In the distance, there was another larger turtle man, only he was holding makeshift wings and hopping around pretending to fly, patrolling the halls! He would be upon Katsumi and the turtles soon if she didn't act quick!

She... she had to be on drugs. Katsumi felt distressed, not knowing how drugs got into her system, avoiding them so carefully. She was always one that needed to be on alert at all times. Or... Or maybe she was going mad? A hand rubbed her forehead and the archer shook her head.

"Is this another weird-ass trial from the gods?" she mumbled to herself. Kat noticed that they seemed to have a particular fondness for fucking around with people.

Needing to take action, she pushed aside her thoughts and shot at the flying turtles, hoping to pierce them with her spirit arrows or, you know, push them back to hit the other turtle xD

The first turtle would be pierced, flying back into the other turtle! They'd fall to the ground and would shrink into their shells with a shriek, the shells lying still on the ground!

If Katsumi looked along the path, yet another obstacle was coming her way! It was another giant turtle suit wearing man, this time he was holding onto fake wings and flapping them around, jumping every so often to imitate flight! And he was headed right for her!

They shrieked and fell to the ground, hiding in their shells, and at this point Katsumi was utterly convinced she was on some type of psychedelic drug. Maybe it was in the air? That could be possible. Right?

There was no real choice but to go along with it, and Katsumi ran forward, kicking one of the shells right at the other turtle thing. "If you can't fly, don't try!"

The turtle shell would go flying along the ground, smacking the large turtle suited man! He would do a small jump before falling into the water way and seemingly through the ground, a strange melody would play as he was struck before disappearing into the ground!

Katsumi's path was now free to go down the waterway before turning left or right at the end.

Yup. This place definitely had to be drugged, and after suddenly weird music played after the thing died strangely, Katsumi moaned and proceeded to slap herself.

"I gotta pull my mind together!" she exclaimed quietly to herself. Katsumi felt so terribly ashamed to be seeing shit like this, thinking she was drugged. "What would Haji-kun think?!"

Glancing left and right, she decided on going right, rubbing her head and eyes, and muttering to herself that the pay better be worth it.

Katsumi, taking around, would find a long path, where at the end, there would be another right. If she turned this corner, she would find a dead end, however, there would be two larger men in turtle suits. They were different from the others in the fact that they carried hammers, a whole lot of hammers! They would throw them at her in an upwards arc! She had to be careful because those would hurt!

If she looked behind them, there would be a treasure chest that they were guarding!

She would hide in the shadows upon seeing the men, using a powerful gust of wind to knock the hammers back towards the turtles. If this would work, Kat would head towards the chest, looking for traps. If not, she would fire at them with her demon bow.

[Uesugi Kenshin]

Katsumi's wind would send one of the hammers right back at the hammer dude's face, hitting him in the head, where he too would sink into his shell! The other one would duck under the hammer, looking at Katsumi as though he had the upper hand, only to be met with an arrow to the chest!

The chest had no traps around it, and if she looked inside, she'd receive...

Mon of the Hammer: Add-on. This cute little hammer makes you feel faster. Which is weird, because hammers are used for hitting things. +2 Dex

Ignoring the weirdness of it all, Katsumi moved forward after taking out the weird turtle-things, heading towards the chest. It wasn't trapped and she opened it with ease. Removing the object within, she saw that it was a minuscule hammer, one that was light and even... cute. She whispered, lips pursing, "It is so... tiny~"

Why were suddenly tiny things associated with cuteness? The serious woman blinked and furrowed her brows. She wasn't entirely sure, but the sudden change in mindset and thoughts was the least weird thing that had happened that night. Equipping the mini-hammer, Katsumi backtracked and moved in the other direction, wherever that was because I forget lulz xD

Katsumi would backtrack, and the only available path to go now was forward if she ignored the turn that she came from. At the very end of this path, there would be a ladder leading upwards. It would take her right into the courtyard of the castle, which didn't look too different from a normal castle... minus the multitudes of patrolling mushroom men.

"I guess there is no way to get inside from down here," said the woman with a sigh, heading back outside.

Glancing upwards, the woman recalled the sentries patrolling on the wall, and sighed. This was going to be fun. Creating a strong current of wind to make the men less inclined to look down (as they would be clutching their mushroom hats!) and make things harder to see, causing the flames to go out on the torches, Katsumi clambered up the ladder in silence.

Waiting for a sentry to pass and the way to be clear, the female went on the wall and crouched down low. Moving towards the sentry at the end of the wall, she slit his throat, covering the mouth with her hand. Katsumi would move to the next and shoot him in the head, doing the same with his body.

If nobody noticed thus far, she would try to do the same with the rest, hoping to quickly removed the hat and other obvious sentry clothing, put them on, and tossing the body over the wall. If they grew suspicious and began to investigate, the woman would hide in the shadows and hope to take them out one by one, crouching in silence.

Katsumi's cutthroat tactics would be a success! The castle would soon have a moat filled with the bodies of dead sentries! Morbid! And she would end up looking as though she were a sentry herself, dressed in a funny mushroom hat and blue vest! However, she suddenly felt like she could jump much higher for some reason!

However, she soon heard the sound of pattering feet heading in her direction! Seems some... "guard dogs" were coming after her, having sniffed her out! She had to hurry or else her cover could be blown to the whooooole castle!

What in the actual fuck?!

She heard barking but her keen eyes saw not dogs but.... just what were those things???? FUCKING OPIUM! It was probably killing her brain cells, and Katsumi was devastated. WHY, FATE?! WHY!?!!

Crouching down, Katsumi would jump suddenly. When she was high in the air, Katsumi gazed down and would fire at those weird mushroom dog things, and then use her wind musou to cause her to safely move over to the nearest rooftop. Wherever that was.

The goombas dogs would fall to her arrows! Though as she jumped, she would hear a peculiar sound coming from her...

Landing on the roof of a nearby building, she had a clear view of the courtyard. A tower was on the otherside from her, which possibly held the princess! If she looked in front of the tower entrance... a strange creature on a chain would look as though it were guarding the entrance.

It was accompanied by a cuter similar creature. Perhaps they were a couple? Regardless, they were both fast asleep. Maybe if Katsumi was careful, she could sneak in?

Oh Susanoo! What in the world was that sound?! Suffice to say that as she jumped, Katsumi's eyes widened and she gasped, glancing around and above and below her. What the fuck???

She shook it off and landed safely. Ahead, Katsumi saw... weird, likely drug-induced (she is convinced she is high lol) creatures The young woman had never seen anything like them, and furrowed her brows. They appeared to almost be... guarding the tower, with chains keeping them secure. Clearly they were fast asleep, and Katsumi knew it would not be wise to wake them up. She had to get past them stealthily them, as there was nowhere she could really land safely on the tower. In fact, there didn't even seem to be windows (besides perhaps tiny ones Katsumi could not see), and Katsumi immediately pitied the lord's daughter.

With a soft sigh, Katsumi used her musou to jump in the courtyard, landing softly on the ground, and she crept quietly, sticking to the shadows. As she drew nearer to the creatures, the girl slowed her pace and breathing. She slowed down to nearly a crawl, hoping to Susanoo that she could slip by these creatures without any trouble.

Katsumi eventually stopped and bit down on her bottom lip. It seemed too risky, and so she moved over to the nearest wall, pressing herself against it. Picking up a stone, the archer chucked it as far as she could, hoping the creatures would leave to investigate and she could slip into the castle while they were distracted and not be detected.
