Real life always takes precedence. Don't worry about the board so much and just focus on your life right now, alright? We'll always be here when you have time time (Haji will be lonely without you).
And never, ever forget that I'm always here for you. You can IM me on Skype or talk to me about whatever and I'll always make the time for you.
I really hope that things do get better soon though. -hugs tight-

Roleplayer of the Month: Freya. She plays Katsumi and Shoji pretty damn well, it's crazy. I can imagine just what Katsumi is going through thanks to the detail she puts in, and feel her every emotion. As for Shoji, I can tell how maniacal the guy is in the head too. Character of the Month: Maki. This guy is a revenge driven machine and stays true to it the entire way through, even to the point of wanting to break those who've helped him. Thread of the Month: Desert Warfare. You can't beat two guys humping each other in mid air and then Takehiro witnesses the entire thing.

(OOC: For Hidenori and Noel only. Or PM to ask to join.)
The large Uesugi soldier was running through the swamps of Satsuma, looking for that Date who had ruined his day earlier in the deserts of Gassantoda. There was a vendetta he needed to settle, but the man had gotten away before Hidenori could really give him a piece of his mind. He tracked him going down in this general direction... or so he thought. Next thing he knew, the tall man found himself looking up at Numa Castle, hearing a bunch of screams coming from it as he just stared at it blankly.
"I, uh... those are pretty crazy special effects... haha..."
He looked nervously at the castle. There was no way the man went into there, right? Right? Gripping the zanbato's hilt on his back tightly, ready to pull it out at the first hint of danger. What if this place was just chock full of Date bastards who liked to knock your drinks over? That'd be terrible!

"Get off me, you-... ARE YOU HUMPING ME?!"
Hidenori would shout at the westerner after his strange attempt to re-maneuver them in mid-air. He was... doing things! Terrible things! His no-no place was touching him in places he didn't need to be touched! It had to stop!
Hidenori would try to push the other man off of him, moving his body in an attempt to get him off. He ended up just wrapping his arms and legs around the guy, and it looked like they were humping each other now...

The pain was felt by Hidenori too as their fists collided, but damn was it cool! The gringo's leg would come out to slam into Hidenori's side, and Hidenori allowed him to do so (mostly because he couldn't stop it much anyway). Pain shot through his body, but his arms would wrap around white boy's leg as he shifted their bodies in mid-air. He would maneuver them so that the Date soldier's body was on the body as they fell through the air, hoping to slam him right onto the flat of Hidenori's sword as they hit the ground.
"I AM NOT UGRYYYY!!!"

Hidenori stood amongst the crowd, watching Kenshin avidly. He wanted to be up by Kenshin's side just like Kasuga, but the ninja practically hissed at him and told him he wasn't needed. Regardless, the soldier, being so tall, still got a really clear view of his lord and father figure.
As Kenshin turned and slashed, Hidenori watched in awe as the dummy was cleaved in two. "AMAZING AS ALWAYS, YOUR LORDSHIIIIIP!" He shouted, jumping with glee. No one was as powerful as Kenshin, and he truly believed that. Soon, clear-cut instructions were given out for the soldiers to begin their training, and Hidenori grimaced as he realized that first up was Kasuga.
"Her? But... grr..."
He complained as he reported to where Kasuga was. Her ninja unit stood in front of her, and Hidenori could swear he saw her glaring at him. Regardless, the tall one drew his zanbato, standing at the ready. Without so much as saying go, one of Kasuga's ninjas began to throw weapons at Hidenori. His foot would come up to avoid a shuriken to the leg, and he would duck to avoid a flying kunai. He was having little issue at first, but soon the ninja began to throw his weapons at Hidenori gradually increasing in pace. Several times would Hidenori stumble and fall to narrowly avoid a kunai that barely missed him. For the finale, the ninja threw three shuriken at once, and fearing he wouldn't react fast enough to evade them, Hidenori's weapon came forth and he narrowly blocked all three of them. The clashing of metal against metal could be heard before the shuriken fell to the floor.
"Whew, that was tiring..." Hidenori sighed in relief, glad that not a single weapon had hit him. Every single one of them laid scattered in the snow, and he placed his weapon back in the sheathe as he made room for someone else to take his spot in the challenge. Not far away, he could see that several random soldiers had already failed, some were in tears. This was bound to be difficult for all.

"Alright then! LET'S GO FIND ULTIMATE MONEY MAN TOGETHER!"
The large man declared at the top of his lungs. Needless to say, Kenshin paid him well. He was quite generous to all of his subjects. The Uesugi was like a family, and they held a place even for one as rambunctious as Hidenori.
He kept his zanbato on his shoulder as he started to walk down the steps, expecting Hiroshi to follow. "I think you'll like Joetsu, Hiro! It's a nice, friendly place. Everyone here is wonderful, and there's nowhere else I'd rather be. I almost wish I was born here!"
The tall man looked to the sky as he spoke. It was interesting knowing that you could see the same sky from Owari, from the poor home of the Morei clan that fell into ruin with their father.
"One day, I want to restore honor to my family name. Even though I'm not from Joetsu, Kenshin took me in as if I were one of his own."

"WHAT THE HELL, BRO? I'M HANDSOME AND YOU KNOW IT!"
As the Date dude's attack collided with Hidenori's chin, it sent him into the air. It was a bit humorous considering how much taller Hidenori was, but he wasn't smart enough to get it.
As DAAAAATAY SOULJA aimed his fist at Hidenori's stomach, the tall man reacted by being equally as dude and sending his fist right back at his enemy's in mid-air!

"Please, just Hidenori is fine. I always have to deal with people calling me Lord. I know it isn't same, but... I like to think of everyone as equal."
While the situation in the temple wasn't the best showing, Hidenori was generally well respected by the people of this land. They would respectfully refer to him as Lord Hidenori or Lord Morei as he passed by, due to the fact that he's been protecting Kenshin for the last 15 years and has been fighting for the people of Joetsu. Of course, he knew that Hiroshi had no idea of this, but trying to leave this town, they'd likely run into a couple people who would call out to Hidenori in respect.
"As for how far he is from here... Kenshin's camp is near the center of Joetsu, and we're... kind of at the edge of it." Hidenori laughed nervously. "But maybe we'll get lucky and find him wandering around randomly, or something."

"Wow, he sure is persistent."
Hidenori would watch as the Date man followed him right down the hill in an epic blaze of sand and fury. The man soon moved at Hidenori with much more speed than the tall man anticipated, and soon he could only watch as he was punched square in the face. Hidenori barely managed to keep his balance on his sword, rubbing his face as he looked back at the Date man in anger.
"YOU JERK! FIRST YOU DESTROY MY PRIDE, AND NOW YOU WANT TO RUIN MY FACE?!"
Hidenori shouted, delivering a haymaker of epic proportions towards the Date dude's right cheek. They would settle this like men. With their fists while sword sledding down a giant desert hill.

Hidenori couldn't help but whistle in awe as the man before him caught the blade. He definitely had style, something that every warrior should have! Hidenori lifted his sword, ready to do the same thing as the man, but as he took a step back to prepare, he soon found himself tumbling down a ridiculously steep hill of sand that he had no idea was there before.
"OH SHIIIII--" He would scream as he rolled down. Eventually, he managed to roll onto the side of his sword, crouching down on it and regaining his balance. From here, he would stand up and look at the man, half-expecting him to have no idea about the hill either.

As the Date fellow would catch his breath and give his little speech, Hidenori would already be on the move. "SUCKER!" He'd shout as he ran for his own sword, lifting it in one swift motion before running to the other man's blade.
"What the hell kind of sword is this anyway?!" He'd shout back at the man as he would reach down for his weapon. Hidenori wouldn't take much time to examine it though if he was already on the move. Instead, he ould arch my arm back. With a single throw forward, the man's own great sword would be flying at him, spinning in the air in one huge flying chunk of metallic death.
"JUST THOUGHT I'D GIVE YOU A HAND! IT ISN'T HONORABLE TO FIGHT AN UNARMED MAN!"

The taller man looked at Hiroshi, confused. "Wha? But I introduced myself in there." He scratched his chin for a moment, looking away. He was completely perplexed, thinking what could have possibly halted his introduction. Oh yeah! The candles! He thought as he snapped his fingers.
"Ahh, that's right! Well then, my name is Hidenori! It's a pleasure to meet you, Hiro!" Hidenori spoke heartily, unaware that he had only said the "Mor" of his clan name before. He had no idea who he was speaking to was actually his little brother's girlfriend, or even that his little brother was alive.
"Hmm, let's see..." He began to muse out loud, wondering what to do next. "If we want to get to Kenshin, he'll be..." He'd look down the steps to the shrine, looking over the small town. "...somewhere very far from here." He completely forgot that Kenshin's main camp was further into the center of Joetsu.

"Booyah!"
Hidenori shouted in triumph as his attack actually connected. As the Date man recovered, swinging around in the sand, Hidenori would hold his zanbato up high and at the ready. The Date soldier's sand attack coming from below would catch Hidenori off guard, and one of his hands would come in front of his face in order to stop the sand from getting in his eyes.
"Wha? HEY! THAT'S DIRTY!" He shouted, soon receiving a fist to his stomach. The attack would send the tall man flying backwards, dropping his sword onto the sand. Hidenori would attempt to quickly grab the man's arm before he flew completely back, dragging him with him. Once Hidenori hit the ground, he would quickly spin until his back was facing the man and pull the soldier over him to throw him on the ground in front of him.

"H-how dare you..."
Hidenori was on his knees, grasping at the sand beneath him. It was gone, all gone! Everything that was sacred in this moment was completely gone! This fool in front of him, he completely ruined everything!
"You terrible scourge of the Date! I WILL DEFEAT YOU HERE AND NOW!"
As the Date soldier swung his sword down at me, Hidenori's hand was already waiting and ready on his own. With one quick motion, his sword would come up and meet the man's before him, blocking the blow. While down on his knees, Hidenori's other hand would come down to grab some sand, throwing it up at the man's face. If this was successful, Hidenori would follow up by jumping forward, planning on kicking the man square in the stomach.

Hidenori grinned once more, speaking in a booming voice that was too loud for a quiet place of worship like this.
"Kenshin, a renown fighter? He's the greatest in all the land! He isn't called the God of War for no reason!"
The tall man looked rather pleased with himself for giving such a compliment, but it was something that Hidenori believed. That no one in the world was strong enough to match up to his lord. It was a level of power that Hidenori himself hoped to reach, though he certainly had the mindset of being that strong. Being brash and thinking that just because he wielded a sword fifty times the size of a weapon a normal man held, he felt as if he could face the Demon King Nobunaga all by himself.
"Hiro, huh?" He questioned, dropping the 'shi' and completely forgetting that he was interrupted when he tried to introduce himself earlier. "Why would they want us to leave...?"
Hidenori stood and pondered for a moment, hand coming to his chin as he looked up. He scratched at non-existent chin hairs as he tried to think of a good reason that anyone could ever want them to leave a public place like this. Finally, with a proud look as if though he found the cure to cancer, he snapped his fingers and exclaimed.
"Ahh! Maybe they want you meet Kenshin! Well, let's go!" He would turn around with his weapon on his shoulder, his height ensuring that the much-too-large weapon would pass over his new companion's head without any worries, and began to waltz out the door happily, no particular destination in mind.

"Weapon?" Hidenori laughed, quickly jumping to his feet. He reached down to grab his oversized sword, tossing it into the air. As it spun around midair, he'd grab the sheathe from the ground, holding it upright and waiting for the sword to fall into it... "This beauty is known as a zanbato! At least I think it is!"... only for the blade to crash into the ground narrowly missing its case. "I, uh... need to work on that."
Settling for grabbing the blade and putting it in its sheathe the old fashioned way, he pulled the scabbard up to rest it on his shoulders, looking back at his visitor.
"Kenshin, you ask?" Hidenori neglected honorifics once more, which caused some of the monks to turn to look at him in disdain. "He is the lord of Joetsu! You may have also heard of him as the God of War or the Dragon of Echigo!" Hidenori spoke proudly, as if showing his happiness at working for such a man.
"He is a kind, but powerful ruler! And I am his most humble and amazing bodyguard! I am the handsome man known as Mor--" He would be interrupted as a random candlestick would fly and hit him square in the face. It seemed one of the monks was awfully upset by this point. "STOP BEING SO LOUD, YOU RAMBUNCTIOUS TWIT! AND BE MORE RESPECTFUL OF OUR LORD!"
Hidenori rubbed his face, looking at the monk who chucked the candlestick for a moment, and then back to his visitor. "The heck's a twit...? Anyway, yeah, Kenshin is the lord of everyone here, and the commander of the Uesugi forces."

Completely quiet, Hidenori would find himself at inner peace. Or an attempt to be, anyway. It took everything he had to just sit quiet. Kenshin's goal was for the man to be able to do this for an hour straight, but Hidenori couldn't even go a minute without something going wrong.
Steady breathing, careful breathing, keep calm. Hidenori was doing his best to do all of these things exactly the way his lord taught him. Yet Kenshin was able to hold conversations or even eat or fight atop an area with small footing and still maintain his balance. That was the level that Hidenori wished to reach, yet there was no way his brain could process something else while trying to concentrate on this. And for that reason, when a voice had entered his subconscious, no matter how much of a whisper it is, his eyes opened wide as he found himself falling backwards again.
"LORD KENSHIN, PLEASE FORGIVE MEEEE!!!"
Hidenori would cry out as he once again landed flat on his back with a very audible thud, his sword falling in the completely opposite direction. Looking up in a pained expression, he noticed he had landed next to the source of the disturbance, but he wasn't mad so much as he was perplexed by having a visitor.
"Restroom's in the back."

Hidenori, oblivious to the fact that someone was now watching him, quickly climbed back to his feet, full of vigor suddenly. Lifting his giant sword up and twirling above his head, the task seemed all but too easy for him as he let out a hearty laugh.
"Of course! I know what I was doing wrong now!"
He actually had no clue, but this did not deter him. He simply tossed his zanbato up into the air, and as it came down, he would jump up. The blade would land on its tip, and the man once more took his place atop the hilt. Carefully balancing himself, he clasped his hands together and began to stand completely still, eyes closed. The only movement from him would be his breathing, but even then, that was quiet and composed. Impatience clawed away at him, but he wanted to prove to Kenshin that he could accomplish this task. What kind of warrior couldn't fulfill the tasks his lordship gave to him, after all? Besides, he did not want to become the laughingstock of Kenshin's personal ninja, Kasuga.
Hidenori stood completely still, looking almost tranquil. He would adopt this state as long as possible, but if there was even one slight distraction...

Joetsu. It was a vast land covered with temples, places of worship to the war deity of the north, Bishamonten. The people of this region believed that Bishamonten would grant them the strength necessary to succeed in every conflict, so long as one's belief in him was strong enough. In one such temple, on the outskirts of Joetsu and up the stairs on a mountain path, Hidenori could be found within. An impractically large blade was balanced on its tip on the ground, and far above it, balanced on the hilt on the tips on his feet, was the impressively tall man. His eyes were closed, and his hands were held together in prayer. This was a practice that his lord Uesugi Kenshin commonly had him do, in an attempt to teach him to better concentrate and to be more patient. Day by day, Hidenori would become better at this, and yet, he had an untameable spirit that even Kenshin had difficult quelling. Despite his stellar performance this time around, Hidenori's concentration was broken when suddenly, he sneezed. This caused the sword's balance to tip, and soon he would find himself crashing to the ground. "OH SHIIIIII--.."The man would be interrupted as he landed flat on his back with a very audible thud resounding throughout the temple. He groaned, sitting up and rubbing the back of his head. He simply could not stand to sit still for so long. He would much rather be training his physical strength so he could become a much greater warrior. He felt as though the day was not too far off where he could challenge Nobunaga himself to battle. But then again, he wasn't the smartest fellow in the country. Hidenori would sigh as he grabbed his zanbato, looking it over. He just wanted a bit of excitement to happen, as even the monks of this place seemed to be too wrapped up in prayer to even be interrupted by his commotion. "Man... I don't see how Lord Kenshin can sit still all day and not get bored."

I'm leaning more towards Drakengard 3 since I've been wanting a new entry in that series for ages (NieR was phenomenal and it's closest I'll get to a NieR 2). And I've already played Symphonia... I'll pick up the HD version though since it was my first Tales game (played Phantasia first but not to completion) and I haven't played the second yet.

[[Name]] Morei Hidenori [[Faction]] Uesugi [[Age]] 24 [[Gender]] Male Height]] 6' 4'' [[Weight]] 184 lbs [[Eye Color]] Blue [[Hair Color]] Brown [[ Appearance]]
Hidenori is an exceptionally tall and well built man. He is considered quite dashing by many that he meets, and he's well aware of his looks himself. Unlike his brothers, he has long, flowing brown hair which he usually keeps tied up in a ponytail. However, he still has blue eyes, to show that he's not completely skipped over when it comes to the spirit that his generation possesses. [[Personality]]Hidenori is extremely carefree and is one of the happiest guys you will ever meet. Very few things exist that can drag this guy down. He is affable and loveable in love, war, and all aspects of life. He doesn't believe that one lives life unless they live it to the fullest, and is rarely seen without his smile. He loves to crack jokes to friend and foe alike, and speaks in a dialect that many might consider disrespectful, especially as he drops the honorific all the time. He also says very nonsensical things a lot of the time. When he is serious, on very rare occasions, he drops the cheerful act and the beast inside of him awakens. He loves battle, and tries to repress that instinct as much as he can. But when pushed to this state, he will go at his opponent with reckless abandon and cares not for the damage that he deals to them. His blows will become more controlled as he learns to deal with this side of him better. The cheerfulness is a means of him coping with his mother's death. The anger is what he built up for thinking that he could've prevented it from happening. [[History]]Fifteen years ago, Hidenori was living in a small village in Owari with his parents and his two brothers, the younger Hideyasu and the baby Haji. Despite his two younger brothers being born with an unusual hair color and the rest of the village ostracizing them, Hidenori loved both of them very dearly. He and Hideyasu would often play-fight, and he found himself taking care of little Haji a lot of the time. As his father was too busy always trying to suck up to the nobles, his mother was the only one trying to provide for the family, working day in and day out to get a bit of coin or some food. Hidenori would help her the best he could, being the eldest child. Most nights, it simply wasn't enough, but he was content with this small life of his. Then came that fateful night, when Oda troops burst into his home. They were looking for his father, but he was absent. Seeing his wife, they smirked and figured they'd have a bit of fun with his family instead. Struggling as they might, Hidenori and Hideyasu were subdued by the men, but not before Hidenori was able to hide his brother Haji from sight. The men tried to rape his mother, tearing her clothing off, but when they began to harm her two sons, she fought back violently. Striking the soldiers and becoming too much of a problem for her, they slew her where she stood, stabbing her in the chest and leaving her to bleed all over the floor in front of Hidenori and Hideyasu. Both brothers screamed for their mother, and the Oda troops, having caused far too much commotion and noise than planned decided to book it before anyone else arrived, but wanted to try to silence the two children before they could speak. Out of fear and desperation, the two brothers fled home, running from Owari. Hidenori managed to outrun the troops, but not before being separated from his brother. Unsure of where to go next, he found himself wandering. Tired, and hungry, he collapsed in a heap, thinking he was to die soon. He later awoke in a bed, and confused and scared, he attempted to leave, but a gentle hand held him back. The man who saved him introduced himself as Uesugi Kenshin, and told Hidenori he was safe now. Hidenori introduced himself and explained his circumstances, but Kenshin never batted an eye. He laid a reassuring hand on Hidenori's shoulder, telling him he would take him in and make him strong. Hidenori spent every day after that training his body and mind to serve the Uesugi. Fifteen years later, he now stands as one of Kenshin's bodyguards, ready and willing to lay his life down for his lord. He has not forgotten his vendetta against the Oda forces, and constantly blames himself for his mother's death. He hopes that Haji and Hideyasu are still alive and well.
