Post by Akiyama Weiss on Apr 2, 2014 13:20:27 GMT -7
It was in the middle of the night. Weiss was camped out with some of Imagawa’s forces and he wasn’t sleeping very well. The achromatic soldier rose from his bed and stepped out from the tent and into the cool midnight air. He thought he might get himself a bite to eat and maybe a drink to relax him mind and started off towards where the camps cooks were. That was the plan, anyways. No sooner had he started walking, covering only thirty or forty feet, did his vision start to grow black on the edges.
“What the hell?” He thought as he started to grow dizzy. This was usually a sign of severe dehydration, but that couldn’t be the case. Weiss drank water all the time and ensured that he was always properly hydrated, so he couldn’t fathom what was happening. Maybe he’d been poisoned earlier or maybe he was sick, either way he didn’t have time to find out. He blacked out and came crashing to the ground with a loud thud. Weiss lost all sense of time whilst he was unconscious and when he came to he was greeted by a plethora of sounds and smells that were utterly alien to him.
“W..wh..where am I?”
Weiss opened his eyes and gradually lifted his head to look around. It was daylight and that meant he’d been out for several hours. It also meant that nobody had bothered to come to his aid and that fact didn’t set too well with him. Weiss sluggishly sat himself up and attempted to get his bearings and determined what his next course of action should be. As it would turn out, this was going to prove to be much more difficult that originally thought. Weiss was in the middle of a field, that much was the same, but all around him everything was different. Strange towers rose up from the ground in the distance and everywhere there was this dull roar of noises that he’d never heard before. Something was wrong.
Weiss took a few minutes to make sure he was alright and soon discovered that his clothing had changed in appearance. Now he was wearing some sort of strange garment on his lower-body that was a peculiar blue fabric and a shirt that seemed a little too tight for his liking. Weiss was no longer wearing sandals and now he wore odd footwear that covered his entire foot. Weiss didn’t know what was going on and he didn’t really care to understand it. He knew he had to get back to his lord Imagawa and inform everyone about this mysterious place. Weiss didn’t fit into this world and he knew as much. So he didn’t really make an attempt to figure out what was going on and instead decided to stay in the field.
Well it wasn’t much of a field upon closer inspection and instead looked more like a rather conservative, albeit well maintained, garden that people strolled though with their children and various animals. Weiss stole food every day from vendors located on the roads and then returned to the “garden” each night to sleep. The weather was a bit warmer than where he’d come from and this ensured he didn’t have any issues about being cold. Of course he was still on edge every night and didn’t get but a few minutes of sleep each night, but at least it wasn’t terribly uncomfortable.
Everyone seemed to care little about Weiss and largely made no attempt to communicate with him. The only exceptions being the times that he accidentally bumped into someone or when he was in their way and they were attempting to pass him. He’d seen the look they were giving him though and it was the same look people would give the local drunk and crazy person as they passed by. It was a mixture of confusion and pity. This kind of annoyed Weiss, but he figured it was for the best. He’d sound crazy if he bothered trying to explain where he’d come from. Of course he also thought these people were crazy as well. I mean the things they did were so crazy. Talking into small toys and having complete conversations with only themselves. Who does that?
The oddities didn’t end there though. Through his limited exploration of the world he’d been transported to, Weiss discovered many other things. People ate food and wasted a lot of it. People apparently weren’t as hungry as they used to be or maybe they were just extremely wasteful. Food that would feed a couple of men for a day was just thrown out and forgotten. As strange as this was, it didn’t even compare to this new thing he discovered called “pornography.” Apparently women in this day and age had no morals and were willing to perform strange and bizarre sexual acts with complete strangers for no apparent reason at all, the worst of which was a horrifying thing known as “Two girls, one cup.”
Weiss wasn’t sure how long he’d be in this alien world, but thankfully it was only about a week. On the seventh day when he’d gone to sleep in a tree, as usual, he woke up on the ground in Imagawa’s camp. Nobody was up and about and judging from the placement of the moon in the sky, he hadn’t been out for too long. Had the whole thing been an intense dream? Weiss didn’t really know and truthfully he didn’t want to. He simply pretended like the whole thing hadn’t happened and went on with his original plan to get some food and drink.

Kurosawa Juubei was visiting the lands of Totomi and was in search of the infamous Takehiro. His reasons were that the youthful marksman desired to align himself with Takehiro’s faction. His reasons weren’t all too clear at the moment why exactly he wanted to unite with this particular person. The reasons were there as Juubei never did anything on a whim, but the answers to such questions were obscured by a face that was absurdly hard to read. His previous occupational specialty had provided some useful tricks and tactics for keeping his thoughts and intentions private, and he’d never met someone capable of reading him. Juubei was just meandering down a well traveled road that wound through the countryside and was lost in his own thoughts. The sun had been up for a few hours and although things had started off a little on the cold side, the air temperature was quickly warming up to a pleasant level and the sensation of the heat upon his shoulders and face was a welcomed thing. It brought a slight smile to his usually stoic face and Juubei wondered how things were going back home. He hadn’t been around since he’d left and signed up with a group of mercenaries and hadn’t thought to take a trip there now that he was about to switch allegiances. He didn’t have too long in his morning reverie because as he rounded a bend, the environment grew unbearably bright. The intensity of which was like staring into the sun for an extended period of time and it only grew brighter with each passing moment.
A thunderous cacophony resounded within the young man’s ears and its deafening qualities made Juubei feel as though his ear-drums were going to explode. The rapturous dissonance grew and in a fraction of a second Juubei was swallowed by some unseen force. In the next moment Juubei was on a bustling city street that was crowded with countless people, all dressed quite peculiarly. Apparently Juubei was the one who didn’t fit in because everyone glared at him like he was the one out of place and that’s when things got a bit hectic. As Juubei would come to find out by being in this place, a person wasn’t aloud to walk around with weapons and that was some sort of criminal offense. Everyone around him panicked when seeing Juubei’s matchlock pistol on his waist and people began shouting and pointing. It didn’t take long for someone of authority to take notice and in a matter of minutes he had strange looking firearms pointed at him. Juubei wouldn’t be able to talk his way out of the situation, so he did the first thing that came to mind, he ran. Juubei guessed the law-enforcement in this place were used to relying upon their firearms to force compliance from people because they weren’t able to keep up with Juubei who darted into an alley and easily outmaneuvered & outran them. It really wasn’t even funny how slow his pursuers were and in a matter of minutes he’d completely lost them. Juubei didn’t know quite was at work, but he figured it had something to do with gods and forces beyond his understanding, so he didn’t even bother wasting time in trying to comprehend what was going on. He needed to think rationally at this time and be systematic in his approach. How was he different than everyone else?
Juubei didn’t look any different from anyone else, so he assumed he was in Japan, but that’s about all he knew. If he could manage to get his hands on some clothing that was common in this place he’d stand a decent chance of being able to go around unnoticed. The other thing he had to do was stop carrying a weapon around with him. This was a bit harder to do because Juubei still had the mentality of a man from the Sengoku era where violence was actually quite the norm, so he felt a bit weaker without his pistol, but Juubei still had his proficiency in hand-to-hand combat to fall back on. Pluse, everyone here just seemed “soft.” Juubei stole the clothes he needed. He usually was against thievery of any kind and treated thieves with harshness, but the situation forced his hand. He didn’t have anything to purchase the garments with and even if he did have the money, something told him this place probably didn’t use the same currency that he was used to. If he’d tried buying anything, it might have stood out too much and attracted attention. The next step was to acquire food and once again he’d have to steal what he needed. Apparently people here weren’t used to someone having as quick of reflexes as Juubei had because they didn’t even notice when the man swiped things right in front of their eyes. It was actually kind of depressing how unobservant they were. If he’d been an assassin, he could have cut their throat whilst standing right in front of them, and they probably would not have noticed until the blood was pouring down their chest. Such people wouldn’t last very long in a war. The first day went like this and the next day, Juubei would seek to learn a little bit about where he was.
He was in Japan, that much was certain; however it appears that he was very far into the future. He was able to read some of the older texts that they had, located in various places, and learned a little about what had happened to Japan. He ensured that he didn’t read too much or into too great of detail as he didn’t quite know what ramifications that could have in the past. He figured this was the realm of the gods and he’d be foolish to go around trifling with the natural order of things. Once he’d learned vaguely what had happened to him, Juubei resolved himself to linger in the area where he’d first arrived in the hopes that it would be the answer to getting back home to where he belonged. He was right, in just a little bit over a week he found himself walking down the same sidewalk he’d strolled down several times before. Always at roughly the same time of day and always at the same speed he’d been walking at before he’d been transported to this alien place. Juubei figured that if he recreated as many of the factors as humanly possible, it could potentially influence things to some small degree and make it easier for him to return. Juubei didn’t really know if this was the case, but it worked and one morning Juubei was just walking down the road and in an instant he found himself back in his Japan, slowly walking down a dirt path in the countryside of Totomi.
( Money as a reward would be appreciated. )

Post by Brandt Solveig on Apr 14, 2014 3:52:21 GMT -7
This day thus far had been quite ordinary, infact the strolling giant was rather bored. Having taken this day to rest, the Nord found himself wandering outside of his current place of renting. The rugged terrain cued Brandt in that he was in a mountanous area. Having left his weapons at home, Brandt found himself grqsping a make-shift walking stick as he took in his surroundings.
Those pale green hues would settle upon something that caught his eye. The vegitation was a rather unique mushroom. The color a deep purple, with traces of white. As he observed it for a few moments longer, Brandt's stomach would rumble. The giant wouls glance down at the small group of mushrooms before scooping them up into his mouth and chewing them to bits. They tasted a bit nutty and left s hint of... Shit ... In his mouth.
"H-huurgh.. That was a horrible idea.."
Indeed it was. Having decided to continue on his treck, it wasn't long beforr Brandt's stomach began to churn. Hunching over, the giant would begin to vomit all over the path he had been walking. Wiping the remnants from his face he would swear as he continued onward. However soon enough something strange began to happen. The dimming.daylight grew lighter, and all the colors in the forest grew in vibrant intensity before it began to swirl his surroundings almost as if by magic. The world ebbed to and fro, before the northlander mistepped and soon.found himself rolling down a mountain side.
Of course in his eyes it was as if he was made of rubber and bounced every time.he hit ground. Higher and higher he bounced until he found himself flying over the moon. Eyes wide the giant let out the most feminem scream he had ever produced. His vision soon faded though as he made his descent toward earth. Everything went rainbow before he hit the ground.
When Brandt came to he was completely distraught. He had no idea what had just happened to him. And now to top it off, it seemed.he was in a foriegn land, even more foriegn than before. There were multiple large huts, towering up into the sky. His eyes squinted as the sunlight reflected off the windows. The sounds that rushed his ear drums were alien. Loud obnoxious horn sounds. The close sound of an ocean of treading feet. And somewhere close by he could hear and feel a celebration of some kind, however the music was obnoxious and unnatural all in itself.
"Odin's beard.. Where in Helgvan have I gone!?"
Brandt's large hands would lift to his ears as he moved looked down to the ground. Whatever he stood in smelled of foul rot and contained used and discarded items of strange origins. Grabbing the side of the dumpster, the Nord would lift himself out and then move down the alley way toward the only opening he saw.
He could see a vast number of people passing by the entrance to the alley, all garbed in strange attire. Some didn't even look human! Everywhere he looked upon the street he saw people posing, and bright flashes of light erupting from these little hand held boxes. Brandt had no idea what to think. It was as if he was surrounded by creatures from the underworld! And he was defensless to boot.
"Ooooh my gaaaawd~! GATTSUUU~! OHMAIGAWD, OHMAIGAWD, OHMAIGAWD! You HAVE to let me take a pic!"
"Holy crap! He does look a lot like him.. Maaan, you must have spent a fortune on your costume."
"I WAAANT A PIIIC~!"
"Pose for me!"
"Where is the sword, man!? Can't be Guts without the sword!"
Brandt began to panic as he was rushed by q group of 'demons'. All the giant could see was cat ears, mask and flashes of light. Of all times to leave his weapon behind! Frantically looking around, the viking caught sight of a man with blonde spikey hair. Upon his back he wielded a 'blade' much like the Nord was accustomed. Releasing a mighty battle cry, the giant would rush forward and bowl the crowd surrounding him over.
"H-heey! Watch it!"
"I didn't even get a picture!"
"Oh man! Guts has his sights on Cloud!"
"EPIC CLOUD VERSUS GATTSU LARP!"
Brandt ignored everything the 'demons' said. They were not going to trick him, the giant would never allow himself to be played a fool as such. Leaping into the air, Brandt would slam his feet into the cloud cosplayer, knocking him away while his sword hit the ground. However it made very little noise, which only confused him more. Reaching down he would grasp the blade, pulling it around to attack the closest 'demon' he saw.
The 'buster sword' would connect with the side of some weird, yellow rat-like human with red dots upon its cheek and a tail like a lightning bolt. The Nord would stare in disbelief as his newly acquired sword broke in half, sending foam shrapnel about.
"WHAT TRICKARY! THIS MUST BE LOKI'S DOING! I WILL TEAR EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU TO BITS!"
However just as he was preparing to rage out and rush more demons, he felt the strange bite of something metal hook to his skin. Before he could really react, he felt as if Thor himself struck him with intense lightning. Brandt flailed about and foamed at the mouth as three policemen subdued him with their tasers. The last thing he remembered was staring up at the sun and watching it explode into confetti.
Brandt awoke half submerged in a stream. His clothing was soaked and torn and the male now had a gash on his cheek and multiple cuts and bruises else where. It seemed he had taken a wrong step somewhere. He would roll over and hurl once more before picking himself up and trying to figure out how to get back. All the while he could-'t get the dream he had out of his head.
"I-I will NEVER.. touch those mushrooms.. again.."

Post by Ichimura Ryunosuke on Apr 14, 2014 8:45:01 GMT -7
Ryunosuke returned from the forge very tired from the numerous orders he received from his costumers for the past couple of days. He laid his body down to sleep as soon as he flopped down on his bed. Little did he know that the world around him would change very drastically as he slept.
He woke up in high spirits, thinking about finishing his orders as early as possible. But as he woke up he noticed that he was lying on a ground as hard as stone. Tall structures of stone were also seen by his eyes protruding above the ground on which he stood on and it seemed as if they were piercing the sky. He did not know where he was, but one thing was certain: he was not in Japan as he knew it to be.
