Character Timeline - Character Links

I think we should have each person make their character link for each character. It's hard to begin threading with someone without any knowledge of the kind of threads they've participated in. 

The real suggestion here is one for a character timeline for each of these character links! It would be awesome if someone created a c/p form that each person can expand/collapse for their characters that gives us a history pre-threading and since beginning here.

Example:

Zhuo Jina

1537-Born in a small village near Ningbo
1556-Married
1559-Moved to Taizhuo w/ Husband
1559-Captured by Pirates & Taken to Japan
1559-Moved to small home outside of the Pirate Cove on the Seto Sea
1559-Obtained Huī, her horse
1560-Joined Date and Moved to Oshu

This could either include threads or just a short summary of character history. This could also include when characters met one another, major injuries, obtaining weapons and Musou and things of that nature. 

I think the RP'er should be able to decide how long or short or detailed it is, but it's very helpful when threading to know when a thread takes place in a characters history.

I mean my biggest thing is that could end up being difficult to keep track of with how many threads some people are in.

Plus if you needed the information when making a thread for someone, you could always just ask.

I don't really wanna force people to start doing more than just the necessities.

I understand that. You don't want to drive people away.

I think it would be helpful to have the option available or maybe to let people know about the character links? It's a great tool to have everything compiled in one place, but I understand not wanting to force things on people.

Well people have the option to make there character link and such as detailed as possible. No reason why people couldnt choose to add these if they wanted. I try to put thread in my stat log in order already but by type to so people can read them if they want to know more.

Also the character link section is useful, but people can also just add more post to there bio, if they dont mind the Mod approval post splitting things up. I don't

A lot of us keep thread histories in our character links, from what I've seen. I try to keep mine in chronological order with a brief description, but I don't have years attached to them. I have a toooon of things in my character links, actually. Just, I don't think it's something that needs to be forced. The stat history is the main thing that we're concerned about, as we want to avoid cheating as much as possible. (Admittingly, I'm behind on updating mine but meh.)
