Kouketsu caught a glimpse of something in his perepheal vision as he observed the calming area. The wind flowed around and even rustled his hair a bit. Indeed one would have to marvel at such a beautiful scenery apart from the wars and not destroyed by them either. Kouketsu focused on that little glimpse he had and noticed it was something shiny. As Kouketsu approached the shiny material, he noticed it was actually just another person with a necklace. Another person in these lands. "How unfortunate," the fair haired individual responded. He confidently strolled towards the shiny necklace and noticed it wasn't a man, but a woman. It wasn't very common to see woman fighting wars men brought upon the land. Kouketsu knew that women had specific reasons in joining wars, debt and revenge. Either something happened to them in the past, or they inherited their drunk father's economic status and was forced to work in an army. Regardless, Kouketsu strolled continuously towards the girl, a chink and clank with every step he took. He could clearly be heard but he didn't necessarily care either. Before long he was standing over top the girl, looking down at her. "Before you attack me and so on, what is a beautiful lady like yourself doing in these war torn lands? Even if you are an enemy of mine, I'd prefer if we enjoyed the moment rather then taint it with our blood." Kouketsu could be clearly heard, speaking in confidence and without hesitation. He wasn't willing to die right there if the woman happened to be hostile. He may fight back, he may just run. You pick your battles, no one can become powerful in one day.

Kouketsu stumbled upon an unknown region of Japan. It was a regular old plain. The grass was green and surrounding it were hills upon hills of plains. It wouldn't be hard to see anyone coming from the front. From the back he obviously wouldn't see them unless he turned around. Alas, Kouketsu was there merely to be there. He didn't know why, but he preferred this region of Japan more than the wilderness he had passed by earlier. It was nice and calm. Not the constant screams of war. Kouketsu looked upon the region of Japan he was currently stationed in. He didn't know of the name, or even why he was there. Since his father'a death, he hadn't really had a real purpose. Yes he wanted to be the strongest in Japan, but he had no other incentive then that. He stood under the Name of the Mōri and fought beside them. Yet, that was all he had. He had no other family to go to, no other goal in life. It made him annoyed sometimes to think what else he would do in life. In fact, it made him pissed that Japan went into a feudal state anyways. Constant fighting, forever needing someone to pull in the reigns on this country. Of course Kouketsu would rise up, but that was all. Was that all it was going to ever be? Kouketsu peered along the unknown land and held an emotionless face. He looked serious and slightly annoyed. Even if his wooden fan seemed so unlike him. It was what his father used, it was what he had been trained with. No other weapon suited him so well. He had been trained with a katana as well, but he never really used it as much as his war fan. At the moment, it wouldn't stand as much against a weapon made of metal, but it really didn't matter much. He wasn't trusted with a real weapon yet, so be it. He would show Japan who would run the nation.

Name: Etsuko, Kouketsu Faction: Mōri Ethnicity: Japanese Age: 20 Gender: Male Height: 5'11" Weight: 160lbs Eye Color: Black Hair Color: Black Appearance: Kouketsu has a sharp jaw with long black hair that reaches down to his back. He wears red battle armor from an ancient time back when the nations fought endlessly. He has black eyes that seem to pierce through your soul. Overall, Kouketsu has a rather handsome complexion. Kouketsu's clothing isn't anything that was meant to be overly fashionable, in fact, its quite the opposite - simple. Assuming the attire of his father, he wears a red and white robe, however, the extended clothing that reaches below their obi sashes is absent from Kouketsu's specifically. The crest of the Mōri lies perfectly sewn onto the back of his robe. For a more roomy feel, Kouketsu has been known to often where a simple black, one piece robe which is fastened tightly at the wast by a red obi sash, one of the two colors that formulate the Mōri. Above all else the crest itself is flawlessly sewn into the back of the robe no different than his alternate outfits. Lastly he's been occasionally seen with a netted shirt beneath the robe itself, a clothing accessory he often considers 'comfortably fashionable'. Personality: Kouketsu is a very prideful and arrogant man. He takes a good deal of pride in his abilities and his faction. He has just recently learned about his line of family, and deems it superior to all others. His arrogance therefore stems from that point of view and causes him to believe he's unbeatable. Like he were a gift from a God itself. He doesn't yet realize the sacrifices needed to walk down that path and not waver underneath the pressure. Underneath all the arrogance and pride is a warm heart, even if you can't seem to find it at first. If you try hard enough to help him achieve his goals and just generally try to become his friend, he's more than willing to gain aid from a friend as well as give it. Not everyone is perfect, they have their quirks. It's just that it's unfortunate that Kouketsu believes his faction to be superior to all, sometimes getting in the way of potential friendships. History: Kouketsu was born into the family known as the Etsuko. They were once a noble and well known family in Japan. They were torn apart by the now warring times that separated people by how much they hated the other. Brother turned on sister, husband turned on wife. The family members were told to choose the factions they believed to be the better of the rest. Members of the families would fight each other on opposing sides and eventually start to dwindle their numbers as a family. All but one family momentarily escaped such a tragedy. The family that escaped the war momentarily had been Kouketsu's. They rose the boy to be like his father, a working man that helped out around their farm. Soon even that wouldn't last. Marching armies rolled past every day during the afternoons and nights. One day his father was pulled aside from his work and was told he had to enlist into the faction known as the Mōri. His father left leaving his only son Kouketsu, in charge. Not long after that, the same army had returned to claim another life as their own. The son of the farmer was told his father had died in battle for a noble cause, now it was his turn to do the same. Knowing his father honored everyone and everything, he believed this to be true. He followed in his father's footsteps and enlisted into the Mōri faction, eagerly ready to make a name for himself and even become stronger, stronger than anyone else in Japan.
