Brandt would not allow himself to grow too cocky as he strolled through the gates. Those pale hues glancing about as he continued to grasp the reigns with one hand, and his right resting at the hilt of his massive sword.
With luck the rest of his trip would be a cakewalk. But that remained to be seen. As he had learned many times before, death lurks where least expected. As he moved further from the camp, his pace would pick up. He wanted to get back as soon as possible. Brandt would need to rest before he found his next job.

Those pale green hues looked over the horses in the stable, and he would pick two out strong looking horses that could handle the pull. Brandt would move quickly to grab all that he would need to harness them up and then he would take one last look around. If he could find a horse big enough to carry the giant himself, he would take it as well. Of course, he wasn't sure if they had anything the size of a Clydesdale.
After the horses were harnessed to the cart, Brandt would take a seat atop the caravans bench seat and grab the reins. It would be time for him to take his leave now that he had what he came for in the first place. The Nord set course for the main entrance, determined to make it out any way he needed. Cautiously, at a pace that would allow him to react if he needed too.

His mind began to calm slightly at the sight of the final two men running. The Nord figured at this point there was little they could do. The stings eminating from his back were bleeding, his already tattered cloak suffering even more. With a grunt he would turn back and climb inside the building to finish loading his cargo.
When he was done, he would search the area for horses to pull the cargo. If he could not find any, he would have to pull it back himself. Boy would he be sore by the end of the day.

While wincing from the ten licks of blades, Brandt would not make his pain audible. There was always two sides to a battle, the mental and the physical. The giant was strong willed and could deal with his wounds when it came time to rest.
His enemies fear was all he needed to buy his time to react. Releasing a roar of bloodlust, the beast of a man would throw himself forward, lifting his blade horizontal to slam into the four men who took their steps toward him preemptively.
If the mighty slam connected it would no doubt knock them backwards and allow Brandt the time to twist and spin in an attempt to send his blade around again into the remaining crowd from behind the cover of flying bodies.

A blood thirsty grin tore upon the Nords face as he watched the remaining bandits revel in their fear of him, even if only for a moment. When they would come in to circle, Brandts blade would lift into a ready stance.
His main focus was protection of the cart, and as he stared forward his peripherals would catch sight of the two men going for the cart. He knew he might sacrifice more of his own blood at this point, but he would manage to survive.
With a great heave the giant would lift his blade once again, to send it crashing down upon the bandit attacking the caravans left side. He hoped to rip him to pieces before Brandt would send it up and over. Twisting to turn about he would attempt to do the same to the bandit at the right side.
This would leave his back and sides open to the bite of blades, but his body was already scared from head to toe. A few more didn't really bother him.

Brandt's eyes narrowed as the crowd neared. A quick estimate of enemy numbers landed around twenty. Numbers didnt scare him though, he had always been taught that the quality of a warrior trumps numbers and inexperience. And as he watched them approach, he would catch sight of the stone throwers preparation.
Twisting at his wrists, the massive blade would rotate so the flat side would catch the first volley of stones thrown his way. The sound of rock on metal would be the que he was waiting for.
Bending his legs, the fearsome Nord would leap from the top of the caravan, twisting his body to bring his sword around like a tornado as aimed to land in the middle of the crowd and continue to rotate at least once more before the blade would grind to a halt upon the upheaved earth.

A sense of urgency enveloped Brandt as he pushed himself to move even faster. His lifts became yanks, his steps larger. And as the giant grew more aware of the sound of approaching trouble, he began to toss the crates instead. It became apparent to the giant that he would probably have to fend off one more wave before he could finish up and leave.
With a frustrated grunt he would hoist himself up on top of that cart of boxes he had loaded so far. Taking stance at the high ground, the beast with the massive blade was ready and waiting. Those dangerous eyes glared toward the direction of his new impending threat.

Well, Mr. Giant, if you've noticed, we're walking back to the stalls. The tavern's over thataway too, if you'd rather stop there to eat."
I have no preference..
The Nord would say as he continued following behind her. He wasn't the most talkative person in the world. And his english was still a little sloppy, thick with accent. It always took him a little time to adjust to such diverse environments. But he had grown to enjoy traveling, even if it brought solitude.
"Brandt.."
The mammoth of a man had decided to give him name. She had helped him. And it wasn't like anyone in these parts knew him as of yet. He had figured it wouldn't hurt to tell her at least.
"My name.."

Successfully creating the hole, Brandt would enter and quickly begin to grab what he could. Hoisting three to four crates a lift, the large male would begin to stack them from back to front. He wasn't aware of exactly how much time he had before anyone caught on to what was happening.
While his shoulder and thigh were sore and bleeding from his previous battle, a little pain wasn't something that slowed this beast down all that much. Heaving as much as he could, as quickly as he could, Brandt was actually beginning to break a sweat.

Brandt would begin to formulate a plan as he stared back and fourth from the carriage to the tavern. After giving a few glances around, he would unsheath his sword and attempt to slam it into the wall. With luck he would be able to break through and create a back entrance to remove the cargo.
If Brandt was a dishonest man he would only bring some back and say that was all he found. But alas he still held a conscience even as a cold blooded warrior. As long as he could bust his way into the back, things would go a little smoother. And id it worked, he would use his strength to man handle that cart against the back of the tavern to make loading easier.

There it was. Brandt had finally stumbled upon the requisition he sought so hard for. However he found himself frustrated due to the amount of cargo there actually was. His mind began to wander as he shuffled about to check a few of the boxes.
"How the hell did that man expect me to bring it all back!?"
If Brandt saw anything of interest he would keep it in mind. But now he had to focus on moving it all back to port. He figured they had to of moved it some way themselves, so he would set out to find exactly what they used. Heading back outside the tavern, the large male would scan the area for anything useful, before checking around the back side.

Victory was Brandts as he landed hard into the last remaining foe, crushing him underneath his weight. With one quick glance about the tavern, the nord figured all the blood and bodies was enough of a message.
Wiping his blade clean with his cloak, Brandt would move toward the backroom of the tavern in pursuit of the cargo he was to be paid for. He figured the backroom was his best bet. So he moved with haste.

His blade successfully found bodies as he spun and the gruesome scenery gave him thrills that were hard to explain unless you had grown up in that kind of environment. However he would soon feel a sharp burning pain as his shoulder suffered the bite of one katana.
Grunting briefly from the pain, but not nearly close to finished. Brandt was ready for more. Instead of stopping his spin, he would continue with it. His own flesh wouldn't tear away from the katana blade as he would redirect the blade to slam it into the ground. And allowing the momentum of the previous spins to throw his legs up and around as he spun on the handle of his large sword, with his large feet intended on connecting with his assaulter on the way around.

The clang of sword blades colliding against his own sounded out. He was being swarmed and he knew that if he didn't react quick enough he was going to be waking up sore on the next morn. His right foot would slide back, and just in time as the katana that aimed for his foot touched down.
As his foot moved his body would shift clockwise, and his knees would bend as he would let out a roar, pulling his sword around in a low circular fashion. This would allow the tendon strike to miss its mark, but carve a wound upon Brandt's upper thigh as he spun.
His goal to continue pulling that sword around like a whirlwind. Each swing pushing closer toward the entrance to sever life force from whomever was in his way.

Sox down and still some to go. Brandt just figured that the pay might have to be renegotiated after this was all said and done. Til then there was a fight to focus on. He was being rushed by a bunch of midgets, or at least that was how he felt at that moment.
As the first of them came in, Brandt knew that he was not the quickest, but sometimes it wasn't needed, so long as he chose his tactics correctly.
As they rushed his first initial idea was to weather the storm. His arms would have maneuvered the sword so the flat side could act as a shield to deflect the oncoming attacks. Brandt wasn't sure what they planned to try, but he was going to make it painfully difficult for them to do so.

Deadly eyes peaked within from outside of the entrance. Ten men sitting around drinking idly, unbeknownst to the death which lurked around the corner. It was now that he would come to the realization that he needed to leave them some kind of message. Otherwise the good merchant whom hired him would probably just end up getting robbed again.
Brandt would leave a message of death for whoever was left in the huts to see. His mind made up, Brandt would turn the corner and rush. His objective was to take out as many as he could in the first strike. Leaping toward the largest congregation, Brandt would swing his sword in a wide arc.

Scanning the side, he soon realized that more then likely the cargo which he was looking for wasn't going to be found here. Brandt figured now would be a good time to circle around and move toward the larger building at the center.
He had a feeling things were going too smoothly though. Keeping on his toes, the man pushed onward to check out his best route of entry inside. Brandt had a feeling there was probably a lot of people inside this place.

Brandt too had been surprised, but his left hand would kick into action out of instinct, releasing the handle of his sword and being redirected toward the guys throat. Attempting to slam his palm into his throat, Brandt would then try to squeeze with those large bear claws he called hands.
If successful, the Nord would force him back into his hut as Brandt would literally squeeze his soul from his body. If all went well, he would leave him in his own dwelling and search about real quick before taking his leave. Brandt figured he would just continue searching the side he was on now.

"So what's your name, stranger?"
Brandt would remain quiet for a moment as he followed behind the one who offered to fill his stomach. He doubted very much though that he could take such an offer without repaying her in some way. But he wasn't so sure if he wanted to simply hand his name out to whomever.
Completely ignoring her request for a name, the hooded giant simply kept on walking behind her as he threw out a question of his own. Those eyes of his taking in the surroundings as they moved.
"Where are you taking me?"

He would hit his mark and watch as his opponent tipped in two. It never bothered him. Maybe that made him a sick person, but he even enjoyed it to a certain degree. Looking left he would make his way inside cautiously.
Brandt would survey again as he moved slowly. He wasn't sure if the cargo he was looking for would be out in the open, or in some kind of storage house. Regardless, if it wasn't in a carriage then he was going to have to find a way to move it.
His sword drawn, it was lusting for blood. But this time it would have to be patient.

Pale green hues carefully surveyed the compound he had finally managed to track his objective to. The large male would begin to formulate some sort of plan in his head. Nothing would be set in stone though, as he often found planned tactics constantly changing to ensure survival.
While he wasn't exactly prone to stealth missions, largely preferring to just smash through forces head on, he would be taking a more cautious route. At least initially.
Brandt would move carefully through the woods like a predator out for prey, having worked his way around toward the rear exit of the encampment. Pale green eyes settled upon a single guard at the entrance and began to prepare himself for what was to come. Two deep breaths and he would approach the closest edge of the foliage toward the guard.
Brandt would take a couple large steps from cover and attempt to pulled his sword from its sheath, up and over, so that the massive sword could carve through him. With luck he wouldn't alert anyone near by.

Type of Quest: Contract to recover stolen cargo.
Quest Info: Approached while getting a drink at one of the local watering holes, Brandt is offered a job. The man said he was a traveling merchant and that on one of his routine trips, his cart was ransacked by a group of bandits.
Having dealt with Caravan protection in england years back he ultimately decided to take him up on the offer. One of the bandits apparently had a big mouth and had mentioned their encampment nearby. And that the reason he had been allowed to live was so they could hit him again.
Location: Within the Seto Sea area. On the island with Chosokabe territory.
People Involved: Just Brandt.
Plot-Important: Dont think so? Unless someone wants to work in another faction trying to undermine the the Chosokabe economy? Lol.
