Shou was glad when the cell opened, he was going to be given a better chance of escape now the guard was the problem. However Shou reaction due to his state where too slow. He would be smashed in the leg and told to move. Not having the chance to flee yet he would obey.

Being thrown to the ground outside the light after the sheltered in doors was blinding, however he could still see enough to know he was surrounded. Shou would rush to his feet, he wouldnt stand a chance on the floor if they felt like hurting him. Not that standing would be much better in his weaponless and wounded state.

Shou ran as fast as he could, kicking up dust and dirt behind him as he tore along the country side to where the leaflet had said. He hadn't believed it when he saw it, three people he knew putting forth a challenge like this was just to hard to resist. Each one he knew to be a beast on the battlefield, either for seeing them fight or fighting them. Finally Shou arrived a crowd having formed and Naotaro already swinging her giant weapon above her head ready to go.

"Did you guys have to pick the middle of nowhere. I just had to run 5 miles to get here, my horse bloody well gave out." Shou would say looking around at everyone. Before looking back at those who had made the challenge. "Though I'm good to go." Shou would almost shout flicking three blades into his left hand and drawing his demonic sword in his right. "No grappling this time Amakusa, I'm letting you get close." Shou would add remembering his fight against the man before. He was glad to have his weapons with him.

Shou could feel his strength fading, the wound he sustained taking hold. However noticing the Uesugi forces no longer follow Shou felt some of the urgency fade. He knew that was stupid, that sense of urgency would have kept him going. Taking one hand from the reigns, Shou slapped himself hard across the face. It was something to keep the adrenalin flowing, something that would help keep him conscious. Retaking the reigns he rode like his life depended on it, because it most likely did. While he trusted the spy to take over rising them to safety if he did succumb to his injury, he expected that he was the better rider, and getting to aid faster was more likely to allow him to survive.

Shou listened as Oda spoke to everyone gathered. It made sense, hit the enemy in the supplies and weapons. Then take the fight to them by surprise while they were demoralized and less armed. Shou was with the small force of Takeda troops, atop his horse. Captain Koboyashi with him ready to lead one half of the men, while all of them would fall under Yukimura Sanada's command. Once the speech was done Shou would turn to Koboyashi. "Why exactly am I here on the front Koboyashi?" He asked, he had trained with the men but never expected to have been called up along side the unit for this battle.

"This is stealth mission, a sneak attack. You're our units resident expect, even if you usually use it just to go about delivering messages uncontested." The captain would reply before turning to look for Yukimura where he was. "Just follow Sanada-san lead, and keep your eyes open." The captain ordered waiting for his own orders on where they were heading. "Yes sir" Shou said plainly not much care in his tone, he had been growing to informal with the captain recently. Once the order came though, Shou, Koboyashi and the rest of the men of the unit would go on to follow them immediately.

Sho was shocked when the demonic blade failed to cut the creature. As the creature grabbed his wrist and slaped his other weapons aside. Shou suddenly move also, grabbing the tendril that had grabbed his arm with both hands. Turning Shou pulled with all his strenght planning to bring the ceature over his shoulder and slamming down the path had come. Along the way though Shou would feel a tendril attempt to have piece his legs but having moved they slashed down the side of them instead. It still hurt and he knew he had to conitinue through the pain and get the creature awayfrom him.

Shou noticed as Katsumi started to look out at the sea, once more. Much like he had been doing earlier. Before asking if he every would go out to sea. It was a good question. Shou wanted one day to settle down, but only if he felt times were peaceful enough that it would work. However he also loved travelling, seeing new places and going where every the wind, and his messages, would take him. He couldn't think of a better example then that.

However there were other factors that came in to it. What was the destination, what was the reason. He had been on a ship before just on trip down coast. It cut off time in travel between certain places. Shou knew or at least though that She meant place beyond the land that both of them knew. "It be interesting. However I know people out there would not understand me. I'd have to know how to talk to them. Maybe if one day I learned, I's go out there and see. I wouldn't want to travel over the sea only to starve in a distance land." Shou explained. 

Maybe he was putting to much though in to the problems of the idea, rather then just the dream of seeing what it was like. However thinking hypothetical, were just that hypothetical. If someone truly asked him right now, had a ship and said come with me. Maybe he actually go, he didn't know what he would decide. Maybe beyond the sea there was a land of the peace he desired and but he just didn't know about it. "You make it sound like you would?" Shou said the question only in his tone. 

Shou grinned he hadn't expected the offer of calling him by his first name to make her blush, maybe having pretended to be a man so much she was just glad to not have to around someone other then the man she mentioned. However she did so and even offered for him to do the same. He had to roll the conversation over in his head again. Picking out what her first name was, as he had only really caught the family name not expecting to be using the other. 

"Gladly Katsumi-san" He said wondering when the last time he actually used someone first name was. Not for a long time it felt, he didn't even call any of the men in Koboyashi's unit, nor the captain himself by there first name. He probably should try and rectify that, if he ever ended up on the front with them being so formal with them would seem odd. "Good to have a friend, I'm sure fate will have our paths cross again. It already has twice now." Shou would point out. He was even miles from home, again and they had managed to bump into each other. 

Shou was shocked when rumours of turmoil came to him. Shocked to hear that people in Takeda lands were at each other’s throats, not soldier, not mercenaries but farmer and villagers. However hearing these rumour’s was not what shocked him the most, but what was asked of him when he brought these rumour’s to his superiors. He was told that no one could be spared to deal with the problem. That if must be dealt with then he should deal with it himself.

3 days and a long ride later. Shou found himself at the village in question. The sight that greeted him was one that made him angry. A couple of the building of the town where burned down, while others had been barricaded up on opposite parts of the town. Dismounting Shou lead his horse into town and tied it up to a tree before heading toward one of the barricaded building.

Suddenly a knife flew passed him, badly aimed indeed. A larger man stepping out and seeing him. “Who are you?” The man demanded another stepping out next to him, a makeshift spear in hand. “I am Yamabara Shou. I am here to find out what is going on behalf of the Takeda.” Shou explained, the mention of the faction putting both men’s backs up. “Yeah well get the hell, out of here. We don’t want anything to do with you.” The spear wielder shouted, obviously something holding him back. Respecting the pair wishes, Shou headed towards the other barricaded buildings. Where he was greeted much better. “My lord thank you someone final come.” A man said running out to meet him. “I’m no lord. What is going on here?” Shou asked.

“It’s terrible, they.. those traitor. Complaining that Lord Shingen does nothing in times of trouble. They started rioting burned down the houses of those most loyal, and now we locked away from each other. We want those who should be punished for what they have done.”

“Come with me.” Shou ordered leading the man back over to the other group of house, and the two other men. “Get out of here.” The large man shouted as they approached. “Rather than shout for me to leave. Voice your complaints. I will do whatever I can to have this settled without further harm to this village.” Shou told him in return. “Our crops are failing. We’re hungry and your lord has done nothing to help us. Why should we strive to grow food for his armies while we cannot even feed ourselves?” The man explained. Shou stood there in thought for a moment thinking of what to say.

“And so you turn on each other. I grew up in a village like this. Times were never easy. It was only because we worked together, that we helped each other in times of strife that we persevered. Times are hard everywhere. Lord Shingen cannot make your crops grow with a wave of his hand. If he sent food to help you, others would starve in your place. You should be working together. Working on the fields that are preforming the best. Ration what you have. Working on making what you have grown rather than locking yourselves away, at each other’s throats, as your crops go unkempt.”

The men didn’t seem to see eye to eye still. Complaining that how could they work together after what had happened. “You say that Lord Shingen has done nothing for you. Yet I am here, to stop you killing each other. I will help for as long as I can. To show you that the Takeda does care for you. While I’ll have whoever burned those houses down rebuild them. I will help you come up with plans on how to ration your supplies. Which field you should tend to help yourselves. Because if you continue to fight one another there is nothing I can do.” Shou would offer.

It took quite awhile. It felt like he was repeating himself to people on each side. Hammering home that they needed to work together in order to survive. His offers of help as a sign of good faith to those who felt badly of the Takeda, while making those who had destroyed the loyal families home, pay back their action by rebuilding them. Only when Shou felt that both side finally knew how to put their differences aside did he finally leave them, hoping that lesson would stick in their minds.
