Shou smiled a small smile as Hake talked about what e expected his job was like. It wasn't the best job but Hake had hit the nail on the head to some extent. He did love to travel, to see new places. To take in beautiful sights around the lands. The monuments of peace that didn't exist in land currently except for the calmness of rivers and mountains. "It has it's moments." Shou would say.
"Well it's horses that pull those carriages surely. Another use they have. If not an even more expensive option." Shou would point out. If he had been scared of horses himself. Shou probably would have relied completely on his legs rather then a carriage. If he was really scare even carriages would have been too close.

Shou watched as Haji brought up up guard of his own, once he managed to recover from being knocked away. "So how do you know me? Shou would asked loudly, a question he wanted to know as well as hopefully a factional distractions. As Shou would then charge forward.
He hands would be up as if to strike, however with a little hop, Shou made himself slide along the ground to come at Haji side rather then dead on. Before his right hand would swing out a punch for the side of Haji head. His left aimed for the gut as he would slide by the other man.

Shou raised a eyebrow, as Hake first question. He knew that the Takeda were renown for there horsemanship but it wasn't what made them who they were. "Yes I ride a lot. As a 'Courier'." Putting emphasis on the word, to hit home the point that being Takeda wasn't what meant he rode a lot. As well as letting him tell the women looking man something about himself without revealing some of the other duties he had.
"Sounds good to me." Shou would accept the offer, when it was given. IT made more sense the offer originally given by Hake when he had first spoken to him. Arriving Shou would order himself some food, riceballs, as he need the loading up on carbohydrates that the rice offered after all that riding. However he just got himself water, to drink. He wasn't looking for the formality that some expected with tea.
"Gokaze is a he. Though I don't blame you. Isn't really the politest way to check without asking. However no. Gokaze hasn't been my only horse. Sometime matters of urgency have scarifies. Not that I would ever treat Gokaze that way. I'd rather run myself then ride him to death, he's serves me to long now." Shou would explain, it was easy to tell between a female or male horse you just had to look. Not that Shou would expect such a thing from Hake, still believing him to be a women. "You've never been around horse very much though. I could tell how he scared you." Shou pointed out, trying his best to sound considerate.

Over the next few days Shou heard the sound of Maki training, and at one point snuck over in order to investigate. He couldn't quite believe that the man felt this was the proper time for such a things. Shou instead focused on learning skills that were more helpful. He started with teaching himself how to hunt in the forest in the island. Applying his natural skills of stealth, and once having noticed that wind directions shifting and approaching from down wind worked better, he started to find himself capable of hunting on his own.
Maki 'offering' eventually started to instead of ending up in his stomach, was thrown back into Maki camp during the night. The man would get the point hopefully. He wasn't going to rely on aid from the other man again, not unless his life not just his comfort was on the line. After having taught himself some basic hunting and forestry, Shou focus on building. He started out in the time he had between hunting and the fire to spend time on felling trees. It was extremely hard going work with his sword but the demonic steel managed to hold up. Logs painstakingly would be cut down. Strapped together with twisted foliage. At least he would have some chance of escaping this island if recuse didn't come.

Shou listened the Hake as they walked away, horse were important as he said. However Hake logic was slightly flawed. Yes a horse on the short distance could easily cut a three day trip to a 1 day trip. That didn't mean it cost less though. Horse easily ate a lot more then a man due to there size. What horses did was save time, not cost. Then again time was a important commodity itself. Also horse only really shortened the short to mid ranged trip. It was quite possible over extremely long distances for a man endurance be better then a horse. Not that Shou would want to run that even if he could.
Shou didn't voice these things though. As he didn't want to seem overly contradictory to someone he had just met. It would have been rude of him to do so. "Well I'd happily talk more about it." Shou would offer. "Any question I feel I can answer?" Shou would add. Obviously he didn't know Hake motive, but if he did start question a military problems, Shou would have to use his judgement in answering them. Continuing to lead them away and back to the village.

Shou had heard about someone challenging Lord Shingen, rumour of it had spread somewhat through the camp. Other then those rumours, the day had been quite uneventful up until now. However as a soldier ran pass him, Shou grabbed the man. "What's going on?" He demanded. The soldier explained quickly and Shou let him go on his way to inform someone important.
Shou would head towards the front of the camp. Shou saw the man in question, and recognised the design of the man's equipment. Numa castle. It was from Numa castle he was sure of it. That was bad, Shou knew how good things from the castle could be. He relied on such equipment looted from that place heavily. Shou would move forward, placing himself on the opposite side of the cross of spears to the other man. "You should leave." Shou would suggest turning slightly to allow the handle of his own demonic blade be seen over his shoulder.
Maybe the man would think twice once he saw the design of the weapon. While he trusted in Lord Shingen's ability it would be stupid to allow someone to be in a position to possibly kill him if it wasn't needed. "It would be smart to rethink your course of action." Shou would tell the other man, blocking out the world around him he would focus on the other man. Staring into the man's eyes in order to put what little of the man could be seen to memory, luckily Shou would notice if the man moved and as he was the main threat around that was good enough.
(OOC: Activating - Headband of the scout - Can focus extremely on the distance or one object, doing so blocks out other events.)

Shou found it slightly strange that Hake with his interest in the horses, seemed unsettled by the fact Gokaze followed them. When the got the stables it became increasing clear that he was out of his element as it were. Shou wave for Gokaze to head towards the penned area, and the horse did so. Heading over to a water trough and dropping his head down to drink. "It's okay, Chimosa-san, horse are not for everyone." He would say starting to lead the other man away again.
"A lot goes in to caring for horse that people don't seem to think of. The need food, water. They have to be groomed or the fall ill. They have to be trained, care for otherwise they are more a hassle then a boon really." Shou would explain as he lead Hake away. "It's worth it though." Shou pointed out his own opinion, Gokaze had saved his life before, got him away from things that would otherwise killed him.

Shou would raise a eyebrow, at the sound of his name from the man. Who was this man in order to have know it? Something about seemed familiar but he couldn't quite but his finger on it. The man bowed, and got ready as well. Seemingly examining him before charging to attack.
The attack the man threw while quick was plain and not very unpredictable. Blocking with one arm, pushing the palm strike aside. Shou would step in bring his foot forward, to stamp a foot down in to the side of Haji ankle closest to him. At the same time, Shou's other hand would shoot out forward, to pretty much shove the other man. Hopefully the combined attack and the bad ground would cause the man to stumble away from him.

Shou would notice when more food seemed to turn up, seriously annoyed that he found himself slightly relying on the other man. If they had been anywhere else, it was likely they would have fought and one of them would be dying or dead by now. However Shou wasn't a fool, he had his pride, but he wasn't going to not take the food. Days would pass, and looking over the centre of the island, Shou would see smoke, large plums much like those which came from his own fire.
It seemed like the other man had only just tried making a signal fire, but it already seemed larger then his own. It must have been down to the fact Shou had been keeping his burning all along. Meaning it was constantly burning down, even thought he had been added to it. Cooking what he had been given, Shou went into double time over then next few days. He spend time on keep the fire as large as he could, but also improved the shelter he had created. Even to the point where he had made a small platform in a tree so he could see father out to sea. If rescue didn't come soon, he would have to think of something else.

Shou felt seriously under dressed right now, this place could freeze a man to the core. He thought to himself as he was lead into the cave, and saw his opponent. Shou eyes darted around the area they were in making tactical assessments. Places of ice, and a pool of most likely absolutely freezing water. Possible a useful thing.
Shou would nod at the other man. "I wasn't expecting this, personally I feel like needed long to recover after my last fight. But I'll make do. Good luck." Shou would say to the other man before moving into a fighting stance, making sure to do so on one of the sections of ground that was stone, rather then ice covered.

Shou couldn't help but be thankful towards Maki over the next few days. Though he would never tell the other man that. However the food the man had left him could see him through for a while. Shou would cook the rabbit on the growing fire, before carving it up, in to small potions for the next few days. He had to ration what he had. Though what Maki had left also supplied Shou with some information. He would study the berries, until he felt that he could recognise them. At least that way he would be able to hopefully gather more if he needed to.
The days that followed became slightly more routine, while it was light he would go drink for the day. And search for more berries like those he had been given. While the afternoons and evening he would cut up fuel for the fire, eat what small amount he felt he could afford. Before sleeping again and doing the same on the next day. As much as he didn't want to do what Maki had said, he had no intentions of dying any time soon.

Shou saw the crossbow bolt come toward the group, curious why they seemed more aimed at the group rather then at a single target. However as hit, and vials shattered, as came forth. Shou as quickly as he could stopped breathing, not even taking a breathe first. However he had to get out of range before he needed to start breathing again.
Shou would push himself to go as fast as he could, forward and to the side. To try and escape the cloud of gas, but not put himself to close to Naotaro. However he felt the need to just before he managed to out of ranged. However even though he breathed in a small amount of the gas, he kept running. Before his sense became messed up. Turning gas caused literal trip, into a dive, he threw his sword in a arc toward Takehiro, aimed as best as he could for his crossbow. He need to be disarmed quickly. Hitting the ground, Shou rolled to his feet, tripped again, and rolled once more forcing himself unsteadily to his feet.

Shou was impressed how smoothly things were going. The Imagawa obviously had been over confident in there numbers to let the men drink themselves to uselessness. Even so Shou notice those attempting to flee, that could not be allowed. "Koboyashi keep attacking." Shou would say, it sounded like a order but it was just to let the man know that Shou was breaking off. Rearing his horse up and turning he charge after those trying to get away. Throwing his sword, in large circular arc, so that it hit as many men as it could before being caught once more and thrown again in the same manner. He wouldn't let them get away to warn the main force.

Shou would listen to Hake requested, and didn't see the harm in it. Turning he looked over his shoulder. "Tsumo, leave him there." Shou called out to one of the soldiers, the one he had passed the reigns of his horse over to earlier. Shou then jogged over and quickly brought the horse back with him. "This is Gokaze. A word wind, fast like the gusting air, and a carrier of me and the messages I normally deliver." Shou said proudly, stroking the horse mane. "He's quite gently really, well most of the time." He added, letting the horse step forward in range of Hake.
Shou would let, Hake stroke the horse as well if he wanted. "The stables are this way. Follow me." Shou would say, leading Gokaze by the reigns to start, before letting them go, the horse following him still because of it training. The horse of the Takeda, were almost as loyal, if not more so then the men themselves. Leading the way, Shou, Gokaze and Hake would arrive at a large three walled building, the last being made of canvas, connected on to a large penned in area of grassland. The sound of horse were load, as was the smell. It wasn't pleasant but Shou was use to it.

Shou would nod in return when being thanked, and be glad when food arrived. Taking the tea when offered, he calmly sipped it slowly. Enjoying the taste and warmth. Watching as Saito made yet another cup of tea and offer it to the tied up man. A brief flash of angry popped up when he saw the man spit it out at Saito. However that was quickly subsided by the pity for the men when he saw him get backhanded to the floor.
As Saito came back over he drank in silence, and for a time so did Shou himself. Having enough of the tea for now he looked down at the table to see food wise what had been brought. There was a reasonable selection, however rice feature primary in the meal, not to much surprise. However gently he placed down the cup and waited. He wasn't going to eat first, as he had bought the meal.

Shou couldn't help himself blushing slightly at the compliment of his skill with a horse. He was by no means the best, but the compliment was nice. Appreciation was always good, even from a stranger. Turning the blush from a smile at the offer of drink he nodded politely. "Indeed Chimosa-san. Thank you." He would say kindly, looking over towards the town.
"Well would you like to drink out here, or find somewhere in the town. While they might have somewhere more comfortable to sit back there, its a nice day." He would ask turning his gaze up to the blue sky. As he said it was a nice day out here.

Shou's head tilted up and to the side , in thought. While he knew of Shimotsuke, he didn't no of the lord that Hake mentioned. From what he remembered Shimotsuke was near the border between the Takeda and the Uesugi to the north-east of where they currently were. Shou was suspicious, but the mention of drinking and talking seemed like a fun one. If Hake wasn't loyal to the lord he had mention and instead served the Uesugi it would have mattered as much. The Takeda had being fighting against the Uesugi for a long time, by now they knew to some extent what to expect from Takeda horsemen.
"Alright guess that sound okay to me. I'll talk to you when we're done here." Shou would say, nodding a small bow to Hake before remounting Gokaze and heading back to the men. Over the next short while Shou continued to lead the training. Showing correct use of weapon from horse back, how to split a column of horses in order to flank and enemy force, even how to use the reigns and stirrups of a horse in order to dodge blows made while still remaining mounted on their horse. Time would pass going through different tactic with the men, until he felt they were tired enough that it would no longer help them. Once they were done and the men lead there horses away, Shou would hand his horse over to one of the men as well and walk back over to Hake.

Shou would claim the rod as a weapon, waiting for it to vanish if it would. Before sneaking around the guards in the room over to the guard with the keys. Crouched low Shou would attempt to steal the keys unnoticed. However he was ready for things if the man did notice. If he was discovered Shou would stand quickly bring the rod up and slam it into the back of the man's skull to knock him to the ground, hopefully unconscious. Before backing up a few steps quietly so as not to be standing next to the man when the other guards noticed.

Carefully Shou would cross the room, avoiding the guards and anything that may make noise before moving over to the nearest cell. Crouching down, Shou would look over at the guards. Before turning back to the cell and examine the look extremely closely in order to tell if he could get it open. It was unlikely, as he didn't have the tools and even he would make noise trying.
Turning back to the guards Shou would look at them, each in turn. Especially around the waist region for hopefully a set of keys. Once he knew if one of the guards had the keys, Shou would have to find a weapon in case he was discovered. Looking around the room, Shou would try to find something, be it a sword or one of those metal rods he had been hit with before. If he found one, he would creep over to it, and gently take it by the handle, so as not to disturb it. Watching it he would hope that like himself it would vanish out of sight.

Shou wanted to laugh to himself when the Hake spoke to him so respectfully, but managed to turn it into just a slight smirk. He was no lord, not by any stretch of the imagination. However Hake didn't know, just meant they he was a cautious individual. "I'm Yamabara. Please I don't deserve such respect." Shou said humbly, his way of informing Hake that the Dono was not needed. "I can understand wanting to watch. The villages sometime do. However you are not one of them. Whom exactly do you serve? It would be foolish of me to allow someone unknown to me so readily examine the tactic of the Takeda." Shou would ask. "Put my mind at ease a little. Then maybe you can stay and watch us as we train" Shou would explain looking over his shoulder. "Is that okay Koboyashi?" He would raise his voice to talk to the captain of the unit. "I don't have a problem with that Shou. I trust your judgement." The captain would reply with a nod.

As the cry went up for the attack, Koboyashi and Shou would charge. Koboyashi's unit not far behind them. As the got close, Shou would flick daggers into each hand, clicking the medallions on them between his fingers until they clicked. With a mighty swing of each arm Shou threw the daggers in skyward arc, over the first of the enemy. Orbs of dark shadow would pop up behind the first few groups of soldiers. It wouldn't last long but long enough to keep them cut off.
As Shou drawing his sword would alongside Koboyashi, ride straight into a group. Both hacking down at those the passed, and trampling any that didn't get out of the way under there horses. The men of Koboyashi unit would follow behind, with spears. Attacking and mopping up those that had managed to avoid the two man charge. The drunken state of these men meant they went down before they even knew what hit them.

It was yet another day of training for Shou and the men of Koboyashi unit. It seemed that Lord Shingen still did not think that the men's horsemanship was up to scratch in the recent days. It was a shame really, because it meant that he once more was roped into helping show the men how to ride better. It wasn't the best display of what the Takeda were know for, but still they rode better then most soldier did. However as he rode around leading the men, he caught out the corner of his eye, someone who had come to watch.
It wasn't odd for men of the nearby town to occasionally come down and show their respect to the soldier of the Takeda, however there was something off about them. They were cleaner then most, not dressed like a soldier or noble, but better dressed then a common would be. Waving a hand lazily to tell the men to continue on. Shou rode over to where the new comer had arrived.
"Can I help you miss?" Shou asked, dismount a little ahead of Hake. He didn't know that he was a man, and his appearance and hair at first glance said other wise. Gently he tossed Gokaze reign back so the hung over the horse's saddle. "If you stick around, you'll probably start getting hassled by the men once they stop there exercises." Shou explained, still mistaking the man sex, something that the soldier may also do.
