A beam of light shot down from the sky, landing in the middle of a village. As it dissipated, I was standing there, blade and shield in hand. Looking around at the village, the rumors were true. There was a civil war going on here. The people around me had stopped fighting, staring in shock at the boy who had just emerged from the light that fell from the sky.
Truthfully, it took a heavy strain on my body to move like that. I wasn't far from the village when I threw my body into the light to teleport here. I figured an entrance like this would be the best way to get everybody's attention. This fighting had to stop, and it had to stop now.
"Fair villagers, I have come to bring salvation to you!" I raised my sword up, pointing it skyward. It shimmered with the light itself. "Warring armies, I shall give you one warning only. Turn your armies away, lest you face my blade!"
All of the soldiers around here turned to look at one another. Some were shocked, others confused, and the rest were finding it comical that such a kid was threatening them all. Some of them readied their weapons, and my eyes narrowed, grip on my sword tightening. They began to bum rush me, and my sword would swing out far faster than they could keep up with, cutting them down one by one. As they fell to the ground, they began to groan. I made sure not to hit anywhere vital. I pointed my blade towards one of the groups in front of me.
"I won't say it again. Innocent people are suffering because of your warmongering. If you still insist on fighting...[/b]"
Light began to glow from my body, radiating off of it profusely. The men behind me began to back away, and I heard the call of retreat as they began to leave. My stare never fell away from the ones in front of me, and my blade never lowered. Some of them began to back away, but their commander seemed resolute in standing his ground.
"He's just one kid! And this all has to be a trick! Get him!"
The men looked at each other before they seemed to hold renewed vigor, and they charged at me, screaming war cries. Lowering my blade for a moment, I thrust it into the sky, shouting. Light would erupt forward, pushing them all back as it resonated violently from my body, shooting out in every direction. I kept the force strong enough as though it were a gust blowing the enemy back, but it was enough to make my point clear. The men would stare at me shocked, and the commander had lost his nerve. He began to sound a retreat, and within moments, they were all running away as if their lives depended on it. Maybe they did.
The villagers would come out eventually, noticing the enemies were gone. They began to cheer happily, running up to me and looking upon me as if I were an angel or some kind of savior. I offered them a kind smile, before falling to my knees due to the fatigue that the light placed on me when I used it too great like that. The villagers took me in and helped me rest up and get better while I got to know them all better. While I was there, I made sure no one else would harm them.

While I may be a bit slow on the posting side, and I apologize for that, come Saturday or so my posting habits will slow down considerably. My brother (other brother, not Brandon) and sister are coming up to visit for Spring Break and so the most of my time will be focused on them for the next week.
I will attempt to get in as many posts as I can to all of my threads. I'm sorry for the delay, guys. After all of my current threads are done, I am considering just having my characters take a back seat for a while and focus solely on staff work and GMing. We'll see what happens though.

Shou was fast, and not without skill, as I had guessed from my first meeting with him. As he deflected my attack and pushed me back, I would indeed stumble backwards. Losing my footing on the ice, I would slip and fall, rolling backwards to get back into a position to see my opponent. I realized I had to be very careful, standing up and attempting to get the best footing I could.
Holding my hands out in front of me, I would position one foot in front of the other, adopting a defensive position. I would not be the one to attack this time.

Really loves me... I was aware of it. The way she embraced me when we met, the way she cried for me when I crawled over to her despite my injuries. The way she talked to me, looked at me, held me, or even just how she was around me... no one else was that caring of me, no one else loved me like she did. For all of my lack of friends or standing in this world, she made it all worth it.
"I... I know..."
And I would never dream of hurting her. If Jina knew of the night Katsumi was kidnapped, and what I went through just to make sure she made it home alive, even if it cost me my life... I had always put Katsumi before me, no matter what was at stake.
"She's... she's the entire world to me. My sole reason to keep on going. I don't know what I would ever do without her."

Type of Quest: Hypothetical Quest Info: Haji is warped into a distant future... or perhaps an alternate reality. Everything around him has changed, and the people he cared for and loved are now either gone or have completely changed. It is a world where he disappeared, and in his absence, much was affected. Haji is to discover what happened, slay any evil that has formed in this new world, and then find a way home to his own time. Location: All over Japan, alternate timeline People Involved: Haji, possibly others if I allow this to be an open thing for others that he knows to join, Izanagi, and the person causing all of this Plot-Important: Very vital to Haji's story

"Huh? Yamabara-san?"
I would look over in surprise at the man I had met sometime ago under the guise of my demon mask. He probably didn't recognize me at all because of that, but maybe the white hair and voice would give me away. I did offer a friendly smile, but I thought it was a bit ironic that a man I hoped never to fight would now be my opponent in this tournament.
Offering a friendly bow, I too would get into a fight stance, trying to observe my enemy before attacking. After staring Shou down for a few moments longer, I would be off, moving towards him swiftly. I decided to open up with a simple palm strike, sending my right palm towards his chest.

"D-d-d-dear Izanagi, it's c-c-c-old..."
I was shivering as I had arrived at this cave first, waiting for my opponent to show up. Why the HELL would anyone decide that this was a good arena? I swear I was going to lose to the cold before a fight even happened. Whoever I was fighting, I hoped that they got here soon. My loss to Yukimura showed me that I had a lot of work to do, and if the other opponent of mine was someone who lost as well, perhaps I had a shot.

Noticing their overall success, I was both filled with joy and a tinge of regret at the fact that we had taken so many lives. Noticing Masahiro was under attack, I quickly fired out a blast of light as swiftly as I could, producing his doppleganger. He would slash across the field, destroying any of the enemies in his path on the way to confront the Uesugi troop, hoping he would distract the large man from stopping on Masahiro's throat long enough for Masahiro to get away.
Meanwhile, if any Imagawa troops approached our chariot, spikes made of light energy would jut upwards and stab at them, while my light would shield us from any projectiles while allowing Katsumi's arrows to pass through while we rode through.

I was in the middle of taking one last bite when Jina's question caught me off guard, causing me to almost choke on my food. After coughing and catching my breath, I would blink as I looked at her. I thought she knew about Katsumi's identity? Though perhaps her pause meant she didn't know if Haji knew about her identity?
"Well, um... Kat-.. I mean Hiroshi and I... we met by a river, and sh-.. he was injured. And I helped he-.. him. And one thing lead to another... close is an... uh, understatement..."
He chuckled nervously, not sure how to go about this. He didn't want to just blurt out "oh hey we're dating!" or anything, especially if he wasn't exactly sure how much Jina knew of her identity. As he looked at Jina though, he realized that just maybe Katsumi wouldn't have to hide her identity anymore. If Jina could walk around safely, so could Katsumi, right? The men that troubled her were dead now.

"Katsumi-chaaaan...." I complained as she dragged me halfway across the country. "Do we really have to do this?"
I hated Numa, I wasn't going to lie. Part of me wanted to get revenge on this hellhole too, but I was also perfectly fine with just sitting at home with my girlfriend! Buuuut my girlfriend's idea of a perfect date was going on a Numa killing spree!
I sighed, making sure I had everything. "Well... since you're so enthusiastic, and I'm definitely not letting you go alone..." I drew my blade from my shield. "Let's kick some ass."

Kaji's fists would catch me off guard as he knocked the wind out of me, punching me repeatedly as I fell to the ground while he bolted off. The bastard, I was going to get him back for this.
"I'LL FIND YOU! AND THEN I'M GOING TO DRAG YOU BACK HERE AND MAKE YOU PAY FOR ALL OF THIS!"
I yelled at his retreating figure as I groaned on the ground. Rolling over onto my back, I sighed, glad I finally got away from it all. Maybe now I could finally get home to Katsumi.
"...and what the hell is an aho?"

I nodded, agreeing wholeheartedly with her response. She didn't exactly like violence, the same as myself in that regard. I did not like fighting at all, and only did to protect that which I loved. Someday, I hoped for a world where fighting wasn't necessary, but it seemed like it would be far into the future, if it ever happened at all.
Fish again, huh? In an island country like this, it was hard not to have fish. In fact, every meeting I had with Jina involved fish. I wasn't complaining though. Food was food, was I opted to try out the salt she offered me.
"Ahh, thank you, Jina." I spoke, sprinkling some of the salt onto the fish I was served curiously. "You know... I never really thought about that. I always assumed other places were the same, but taking freedom over your own food... hmm. It doesn't sound half bad."
I was instantly reminded of Takehiro's flavor sticks.

Post count restrictions for dungeons are probably a must. As well as the Exp/Yen being divided for later runs. Item gains I'm fine with as well.
I wish we could do something about slow moving dungeons though, like if someone never posts to it but posts elsewhere. Can't really do the same thing that we do in the major events, I guess.
If anything, medium dungeons and up will definitely have stat requirements to wield items.

"But... if I do that..."
If I saved her baby... she would die. If I worried about her right now, then the baby would die... and if I wanted to save her baby, I'd probably have to...
My fists clenched as I looked down at the woman. My eyes were wide, and my breathing was heavy. I was trembling all over, sweat dripped from my forehead. What the hell was I supposed to do? Either way, a life would be lost... this woman would hate me forever if I let her baby die, especially when she put her child's life before her own, but... damn it, Haji...
"I'm... I'm so sorry... please forgive me..."
Taking a deep breath, I would form a small knife out of light, and with trembling hands... I would slice along the woman's belly. I tried to drown out her cries, the cries of the people around him, and tried to stop myself from crying out. My cut wouldn't be deep enough to harm the baby, but enough to where I'd have some more leverage. A tear would run down my face as I used my light to grab the baby, slowly pulling it from her stomach, slicing the umbilical cord in the process.
The baby was handed off to someone nearby who wrapped a cloth around it and made sure it was okay. I stared at the woman, in shock, as the life ebbed away from her. There was nothing I could do... I let someone die, even if it was to save their child, who would grow up without a mother. And no one knew who the father was... I fulfilled her last wish, but I couldn't stop myself from breaking down and crying...
"Forgive me..."

Riding atop my demon chariot, I would charge a lot of energy into my hands, flinging it out towards groups of enemies. The light would swell up, dragging the soldiers in before exploding. I made sure not to hit anything vital on the Armory, but made sure all of my strikes would strike an enemy soldier. While the element of surprise was still fresh, I wanted to take out as many as I could.

My eyes widened seeing Takehiro fire off his crossbow, and I knew that couldn't be good news at all. I quickly put up a sphere of light around myself to protect me from the gas that spewed forth. This would protect me from the hallucinations, but... I wouldn't be quick enough to shield everyone around me. I quickly used my light to push myself away from the range of the gas, releasing that shield when I was far enough.
Looking up at Takehiro, I had to do something about them or else they'd wipe our entire group out. I quickly charged light into my hand, chucking it with full force in Takehiro's direction. This blast of light was intended to break defense and knock the opponent out. But as it grew nearer to Takehiro, I would direct it to the left suddenly, swinging it around Takehiro in a wide circle, instead aiming for Iemasa from behind! A section of that blast would break off, flying towards Naotora from behind as well. If Takehiro attempted to knock it out of the air with his darkness before it circled around, I would have it maneuver away the best I could. But Takehiro was likely too cocky with those hakama of his to really worry about my light. Or I hoped, at least.

Her sudden cheerfulness caught me off guard, she seemed awfully excited about me going back to camp with her. But then, it wasn't like I had too many friends to see either, so I could understand why she'd be so excited. Jina and I were nothing more than acquaintances for the time being, but I could see us becoming good friends, especially if she knew Katsumi as well.
I nodded as she spoke about her officer tending to these men. It was a relief that they wouldn't just be broken and battered on the ground, at the least. As we walked, I listened to her talk. She had a lot to say, but a lot of it were things of interest. She sounded a lot happier than when we had previously met, she sounded like a heavy burden was lifted off of her shoulders. The way she spoke of being free of her old life, I couldn't help but feel happy for her, and she made Date Masamune sound like quite the guy. I wondered what kind of man the One-Eyed Dragon of Oshu was, having only met an imposter once before (who Masahiro and myself beat the crap out of, mind you.)
After Jina spoke to the guard and we were on our own again, my stomach seemed to take her invitation for dinner before I could, and I chuckled a bit nervously. "Yeah, that sounds really good. Thank you, Jina."
Wherever she went right now, I would follow. I didn't know anyone else here, and did not want to get on anybody's bad side. "So it sounds like you've been a lot happier since you've joined the Date. I'm truly glad for you."

Falling to the ground with a sigh of relief, I watched the screaming Taniguchi. I was now a wanted man in Oki, all for something that I had no part of. Standing up to my feet, I would reach over and grab Kaji by the collar.
"Now that it's just us two... where the hell do you get off dragging me into this?! I just wanted to get home to my girlfriend! And now I'm a lot later because I was hiding and running for my life all day!"
Yeah. I was pissed.

The Hero: Haji. Doesn't get more good guy than him. The Sidekick: Ryunosuke. He seems attached to Takehiro's side all the time. The Villain: Sagi. He seems like the mastermind. The Sidevillain: Sakkaku. He's no less devious than Sagi, and launching an assault on the Takeda scores him some points.
The Nice One: Kenji. For trying to befriend Hideyasu, I suppose. The Meanie: Katsumi, for making Takehiro cry. Lolol. The Comedian: Yukimura, he makes me laugh a lot. The Smart One: Takehiro. No contest there. Highest WIS and the smartest choices to always back it up. The Just Plain Clueless One: Yukimura, because yeah lol. Or Hidenori. But he's just dumb period.
The Pretty Boy: Hake. The Hot Babe: Katsumi. <3 totally not biased Couple of the Month: Haji and Katsumi. Doesn't help that we're pretty much the only official couple, lol. The Shake n’ Bake: Hidenori x Noel until another swell group comes along.
Member of the Month: Brandon. This guy does a lot, and I feel like he deserves it more than I do. Newbie of the Month: Is Kenji eligible for this, since he was gone for a while at the start? This guy is great OOC and IC. I quite enjoy his company. If not, Shigenobu takes it for being a cool dude. Roleplayer of the Month: I can't decide between Freya and Brandon. Both of them always amaze me. Character of the Month: Tempted to vote Okata, if only because she gained the ability to force people to stare at her... assets, for a time. But I also want to vote Kenji, because his posts are generally pretty great and his character is fun all around. Thread of the Month: What The Hell Did I Do?! I know it's my own quest, but... it was hilarious all the way through.

I was honestly surprised. Jina went from a starving girl on the beach to a fighter with a cause, a purpose. She had someone she fought for, a faction to whom she could pledge her loyalty to and fight in their name. And yet, for all of my journeying, I had yet to call a place my home. I lived for Katsumi, took on jobs to raise a little money, and that was it. In a way, I kind of admired Jina, maybe felt a little envious, but I had yet to find a leader who resonated with what I believed in.
I looked at the men around us as she spoke, and I nodded, relieved that she'd be getting them care. It seemed she only jumped into the fight on my behalf. Maybe if I was a little more forceful, she wouldn't have felt the need to jump in at all. Nevertheless, it was a bit refreshing to see a familiar face around here. It wasn't often I got a job on this side of Japan, and for something so small at that.
An invite to see the Date camp though? I had to admit, I was curious. I had only seen the Oda and the Takeda up close, and now it seemed I would have a chance to see the Date. I wondered what kind of people they were, but if Jina was with them, they couldn't be bad, right?
"I... yes, I would be honored, Jina." I bowed politely as I spoke, showing appreciation for the hospitality she was offering. My job here was done, but it didn't hurt to stick around for a bit longer.
