Putting on all of the armor and holding the blades in my hands, I felt incredibly powerful. Like I could take a boulder to the chest and keep on moving. Granted, I did not want to take on a boulder.

Looking over at Takehiro when Yukimura exclaimed, my eyes widened in shock. He was right! Looking back at Yukimura, my eyes widened even further, if even humanly possible! "Sanada-san! Your eyes are yellow!"

New power surging through me, I would strike at the knight's chestplate from the other side as Yukimura, planning on helping him destroy it. If this was successful, I would strike upwards underneath the knight's helmet in an attempt to pull it off if Yukimura failed to do so himself.

If we succeeded in defeating the knight, I would check on Yukimura, making sure he was okay before running off to help the others.

I decided to take a break from laying around in the inn to take a walk around the around. While they had advised me to stay in bed due to my stab wound, I decided to sneak out and get some fresh air. Katsumi was still resting, and I did not want to wake her when she needed the rest more than I did. So I strapped on my headband, gauntlets, and kimono. Underneath that, my body was wrapped to prevent more bleeding, but I couldn't overexert myself at all for fear of reopening the wound. Sakabato and katana at my side just in case, I strolled along the water way.

I recalled how excited I was when I had first seen the sea. My nature was childlike in itself, before Katsumi and I had nearly died that same night. Trying to push that thought of my mind, I would come across some commotion. Hearing someone shout "WITCH!", I would hurry along to see what the problem was.

My eyes widened as I saw someone else with white hair, being treated the same way I had gotten used to. Looking around at the people around me, I had begun to wonder if being here as well would make the situation worse or not. Regardless, I stepped into view where the shouting man could see me. "Hey, I think you should leave her alone."

I was really hoping this would not escalate into a fight, as I really wasn't in the state for it. Being someone else with white hair, the man would probably think we're in collusion or some kind of diseased people or something.

I successfully got the gauntlet off, but before I could grab the sword, I was hit and sent flying all the way across the room. Slamming into the wall and falling to the floor, I coughed out some blood and started to feel weaker. My entire body was aching, and it felt like it was tearing itself apart.

"Agh... what the hell..."

I looked over at the knight, it must have been that glow... climbing back to my feet, panting, I gripped both of my weapons tightly and charged at the knight. I raised my weapon as if to strike, but as I got closer, I would suddenly dash to the side and roll past the knight if he swung at me, going for his other sword and grabbing it before turning to face him. The pain was awful, but I had to endure.

I could feel an immense power coming from the sword, just holding it made me feel stronger. Hopefully I could put this newfound strength to good use. And with that, I would duck underneath the monster's slashes, low to the floor to make sure I wasn't hurt. After his second sweep, he would be left open, and I would jump up, sending the sakabato into the dark knight's shoulder joint. If successful, I would bring the flat end of the demonic blade at the knight's shoulder, planning on destroying the armor there, and hopefully the entire arm.

I would stumble backwards as Yukimura pushed me back, looking at him as he spoke to me. I was breathing hard, trying to calm down, but he was right. Anger would impede my better judgment, but the thought of Katsumi being left to die like that, hypothetical as it was, served as a trigger.

"Y-you're right, Sanada-san. I am sorry."

I would sheathe my blade, but I was not done sparring yet. I would adopt a ready stance before dashing forward quickly. I would perform a quick draw slash on Yukimura, aiming for his chest with the sakabato. I was hoping the additional speed from this strike would prove to him that I could be strong, even without being angry.

I would sidestep, attempting to dodge the blade as it came down. This would bring me to the knight's outside, safe out of the way of the other blade. I would take the katana in my hand and thrust it straight into the opening in the joint under the knight's shoulder, stabbing it into there. If successful, I would tear along and attempt to remove the knight's armor, if not his entire arm.

Takehiro to the rescue. The guy was a beast, and I had to give him a lot of credit for being such a badass.

I saw up with a sigh of relief, noticing that both Katsumi and myself were okay, and that Yukimura was fine as well. The group here was a solid one, and I was glad that it was them by my side to endure these weird things from hell.

I got up, sheathing both of my blades. My guard would still be up, just in case, but I would stay near Yukimura as he checked out the void, ready to provide backup as necessary.

"Maybe he's right, Takehiro. You ought to sing to the darkness instead of the treasure." I said as I observed it, tempted to touch it. Maybe not.

"I don't think any amount of pay could erase this from my memories."

I sat there as the carriage moved, wide-eyed from the shit I had seen thus far. The merchant was crying with every single step he took forward, but right now he needed to just deal with it.

"JUST DEAL WITH IT!" I would turn to scream at the human wheel.

Relationships:

Yuy Masahiro - The first person that Haji met on his adventure, and together they stopped a tavern raid. While opposite in ideals, Masahiro and Haji both manage to get along due to their similar sense of adventure. Haji's good nature balances out Masahiro's darker nature, and vice versa. Haji feels as though the two will be seeing each other a lot in the future.

Shinomori Katsumi - An archer pretending to be a man publicly, she is Haji's girlfriend who he met randomly by a river as she was tending to her own wounds. The two of them are hardly seen apart, and she has since become his very reason to fight.

After she was kidnapped and brutally tortured, Haji snapped, pushing aside his own pacifistic ideals and killed her captors in a fit of rage. He is now extremely conflicted, yet does not regret his decision in saving her. He now desires to become stronger for her sake.

Takehiro Amakusa - An ex-Hojo mercenary that Haji met near Owari. The two had a small battle over a merchant's life, and ended up going on a strange adventure after being accidentally induced with opium. Haji really respects Takehiro after seeing his good side.

Sanada Yukimura - A leader of the Takeda army that Haji met near Kofu. After sharing their beliefs with one another, the two had a spar. Haji had learned a lot in his encounter with Yukimura, realizing that strength was something he needed to strive for. He holds high respect for Sanada.

Maki - A revenge-crazed man that Haji doesn't know the name of. He intervened in a battle between Maki and Katsumi, soon helping to tend to the man's wounds once he passed out. He isn't sure how to feel about Maki.

Morei Hidenori - Haji's eldest brother and a member of the Uesugi army and personal bodyguard to Uesugi Kenshin. Haji has no idea that Hidenori still lives.

Morei Hideyasu - Haji's older brother and an assassin working for the Hojo. Haji has no idea that Hideyasu still lives.

Tsukino Seiko - An albino girl that Haji met whom he holds great respect for. While she seems a little off-putting and strange to him, he believes that she's a wonderful person and hopes to know her better someday.

Yamabara Shou - A soldier with the Takeda that Haji met while he was masquerading as the dark hero. The man gave Haji's alter ego the name of Shiro, and now he sticks with that. He holds utmost respect for Shou, and believes that one day he'll tell Shou his true identity.
