Katsuo didn't really know how to dance, but he wasn't about to be shown up. His counter attack would mainly involve the movement of his left leg being moved in a circular motion, then alternating to the opposite leg. It was known as "The Stanky Leg" on the streets and it was among the only tools in his arsenal. As Katsuo performed the dance move he could see the anger on the face of the bandit. Clearly he'd not expected such a response and all he could do was spit upon the ground and head back to the group.
"Sooo, you have some talent."
The bandit leader spoke as his comrade returned defeated. They talked amongst themselves in hushed voices and tried to figure out what to do next. The Dougie had been one of their trump cards and they'd foolishly expected it to defeat Katsuo on the spot. They came to a decision and the bandit leader stepped forward.
" I will be your opponent...."
That's all he said as he started to limber himself up.

The first of these bandits stepped a few feet in front of the others and pointed towards Katsuo with an outstretched hand. He then proceeded to move his body in a shimmy while passing his hand through the hair on his head.
Katsuo's eyes narrowed and he spoke the words slowly....
"The Dougie....."
The bandit heard Katsuo's statement and responded with one of his own.
"Yea, that's right foo, The Dougie. I suppose I don't need to remind you of what's going down?"
He was right. Katsuo knew that he'd just landed himself smack dab in the middle of a dance battle and there wasn't any turning back now. He wiped the sweat from his brow and got ready to throw down.

The rest of the day went a bit better and the warrior made good time as he ran along the mountain path with haste. He theorized that the bandits might still have been tailing him and he didn't really want to meet them. Katsuo only stopped to relieve himself from time to time. Katsuo was nearing the end of the path and could see the end in sight, but that's not all he saw. Standing where the the path merged onto another that would take him towards the nearest town was a group of five or six men. They weren't dressed very well and had old, beat up, weapons, but that wasn't the most interesting fact. Slung over the shoulder of one of these men was a leather knapsack that looked exactly like the one that'd been taken from him the previous night.
"So that's what their plan was? They had planned on waiting for Katsuo here, at this point, hoping that he'd be tired and less capable of defending himself."
Katsuo mumbled this to himself as he came to a sliding stop. It was fortuitous that they'd not taken his weapon last night and the reason for this was that they'd clearly underestimated him. Perhaps they thought that because they were able to get in and out of his camp undetected so easily, that his skills were lacking. True, he was tired from running all day, but they'd be in for a surprise when they came for round two.

" Rise and shine, Katsuo....."
Katsuo slowly awoke and rolled over to notice that there were numerous sets of footprints in and around the site where he'd chosen to set up camp. The first thing he noticed was that his knapsack was gone and that apparently they'd not taken anything else. Katsuo grumbled and cursed himself for being so tired. If he hadn't been as exhausted as he was, he might have not slept quite so hard. In which case he would have woken up when these people had entered his camp site. Katsuo rolled over onto his stomach, buried his head in his arms, and went back to sleep for a few more hours. The day had already started off poorly and he didn't really want to deal with any bullshit this early. Katsuo took his sweet time getting ready and by the time he was on the road again, it was already midday. As Katsuo had gotten dressed and packed up he'd pondered on whether or not it was in his best interest to hunt down the people that had stolen from him. In the end he'd decided that his situation was entirely of his own making and that he shouldn't blame someone else for his mistakes. Katsuo decided to make up some time and ran a good part of the day. It was easy, after all he didn't have quite as much to carry now that he'd been relieved of it.

The first night was, cold, to say the least. He slept out under the stars and despite the frigid air, it wasn't altogether unpleasant. Katsuo's bedding materials, which consisted of a few light blankets, was placed near the smoldering embers of the fire to keep himself warm throughout the night. He debated on whether or not he should keep the fire maintained at a higher level, but ultimately decided against it. He didn't need the light attracting any attention. Bandits had been known to prey on travelers in this mountainous pass and that's really the last thing he wanted. It wasn't that Katsuo couldn't handle such a situation, but rather it was that Katsuo would prefer not to kill somebody if he didn't have to. As the night dragged on he could feel his eyelids growing heavier and heavier, eventually pulling him into a deep slumber.

Katsuo set out from the lands of his lord Hojo and set about on an adventure to gain a better understanding of who he was. Katsuo would start his journey by heading to the sea and he'd see where things went after that. Katsuo gathered a number of useful supplies and slung them over his back as they were contained within a small leather sack. The bag thumped against his back as he slowly walked down a deserted path that cut though the rugged mountains. It'd take Katsuo a few days to make it through the pass and that meant he'd end up sleeping outside a few nights. The prospect of that didn't really bother him all that much and soon Katsuo found himself whistling as he went about his travels. The day was glorious, not a cloud to be seen in the sky, and the present air temperature was just barely under seventy degrees. Yes, it was going to be a good day. As Katsuo lifted his head to take a glance at the sun, he would raise his hand to shield it from the majority of the light, but allowing enough to do what he needed. By looking at the suns position in the sky he determined that he'd have more than four hours of light left and that was plenty of time.

x- The silvery-white moon was poised in the middle of the starlit night sky and the visibility level in the area was exceptional. It would make his mission even more complicated, but it was hardly something that couldn’t be overcome is someone had the dedication & willpower to succeed. Katsuo’s trident was usually kept broken down into two parts for ease of carrying and when he approached the towering stone wall of the castle he’d remove the weapon from his back. Katsuo had approached the castle by clinging to one side of a horse, the side that was obscured from view by the animal’s body, and simply guided the animal towards the structure. When he’d gotten close enough he’d leapt from the beast and stuck the shadowy regions provided to him by the very thing he’d been tasked with infiltrating. Once Katsuo was at the wall he’d tie a rope around the shaft of the up portion of his trident and throw the weapon with considerable force. It wedged itself in between the stonework of the castle wall and stuck in place with a sharp metallic ring. Katsuo waited in the shadows as a face peered out over the edge of the wall to investigate what the source of the noise was. He looked into the darkness for a few minutes before he seemed satisfied that it was no cause for alarm and resumed his patrol upon the battlements. -x
x- Katsuo climbed up the rope, stood upon the shaft of the trident, and was about halfway up to the wall where he needed to be. Katsuo then attached the other half of the handle to the weapon and left the rope tied around it, but also took hold of the opposite end of the rope in his left hand. Katsuo used his weapon as something of a spring-board and launched himself up the rest of the way and simply pulled the weapon up to him with the rope. Upon the castle’s battlements he crept from shadow to shadow and slowly mimicked the patrol of the two guards that made rounds through the area. Katsuo approached the first one from behind, placed him into a choke hold, and rendered him unconscious in a matter of seconds. He used the rope and tied it around the waist of the guard and threw him over the edge of the wall where he dropped for a good distance before coming to a stop and dangling their in place. The next guard was a little tricker as he didn’t have anymore rope to utilize and instead had to render him unconscious via another choke hold and prop him up against the wall, so that any passerby would think that the man was just lazy and taking himself a nap on duty. -x
x- Katsuo entered the castle at this time and proceeded to make short work of the guards. Most of them were easily dispatched with a proper choke hold and Katsuo either stashed the bodies in closets or he got creative and splashed some booze down their throats so that anyone who discovered them would assume that they’d just passed out after one to many drinks. Of course this couldn’t be done to much more then two of the guards and anymore would arouse suspicion, but it was a good tactic. Katsuo only had to get physical with one of the guards. Katsuo had gotten a bit cocky and had stolen a uniform from one of the guards and had acted drunk as he approached him. It worked and as Katsuo approached he was already getting verbally reprimanded for being intoxicated. The staggering was a feint and when Katsuo had gotten close enough he’d asked the man to hold the drink he was holding. The guard took it and lowered his gaze to examine the bottle and that was when Katsuo head butted the man. He fell to the floor in a crumpled heap and that was that. Katsuo had taken out all the guards in due time and simply strolled out through the main gate in the pilfered uniform. It wasn’t until early morning when the relief shift showed up that anything was discovered to be amiss. Everyone had been incapacitated and the supervisor who had directed the men wasn’t exactly a happy camper he was embarrassed about their piss-poor performance and rightfully so. By the time these guys were getting their asses chewed for incompetence, Katsuo was enjoying a drink for real. -x

Name: Yoshida KatsuoFaction: HojoEthnicity: JapaneseAge: 26Gender: MaleHeight: 5’11”Weight: 180 lbsEye Color: BlueHair Color: BrownAppearance: Katsuo is very unique in terms of his appearance, his hair style being the most noticeable. Only one half of his head actually had medium-length brown hair atop it. The other half is shaved extremely short and sports ornate designs shaved into it. When you factor this in with his scruffy facial hair and piercings, it gives Katsuo an edgy look that tends to make people think he’s a hoodlum or a punk. As far as his attire is concerned, Katsuo is a fan of full length black body suits. He can either be seen wearing one or, at the very least, wearing one under whatever clothing he has to wear. The material from which the bodysuit is made is extremely light and breathable. Lastly, Katsuo is missing an eye and he wears an eye patch over his left eye because of this. The eye patch features a cross shaped design upon it. Personality: Katsuo, despite his appearance, is a very kind man and is slow to anger over most things. The only thing that gets him heated is when somebody would seek to disrespect his lord Hojo Ujiyasu, to which Katsuo has a fanatical devotion to. It’s unclear how or why he acts this way to his lord, but if Katsuo acts in a manner that is violent or cruel, it is because he is carrying out the orders of Hojo. History: Katsuo was born in an impoverished family and grew up having to steal whatever his family needed to get by. It was a hard life, but at least they had each other. This wouldn’t last forever though and one winter a horrible disease swept through his village and killed many people, a few of which were his mother and sister. His father took the deaths the hardest and he was never quite the same afterwards. Lost in alcoholism and opium addiction, his father was never around for him past the age of ten. Katsuo might have died had he not been taken in by Hojo Ujiyasu to serve as a caretaker for his soldiers. Katsuo helped feed the wounded and sick, cleaned the barracks, and generally did small things to earn his keep. This went on for years and soon Katsuo began to look at Hojo as a father figure and this view planted the seeds for his unwavering devotion to the man in his later years. Katsuo might not be the most powerful soldier in his lord’s military, but he is among the most trustworthy.
