When Kenji approached the first woman, she seemed to want to back away in fear, but she was too physically weak. She whimpered dryly, and from the sound he could tell not only how scared and abused she was, but also how incredibly malnourished. And all of the women were the same. Cuts lined their bodies, bruises wherever the skin was shown.

Once again, the first woman would mutter, "Kill... me..."

"And you're not bad yourself," the woman returned, smiling as well. It seemed almost unfitting given the scenery.

As Kenji pulled the door open, he would find no armed men inside. Instead, he would see five women sitting against the walls, their arms held above their heads, shackled to the stone. They were bloody, and it was hard to tell if they were even alive. They didn't react to the door opening whatsover.

"Oh... oh god," Kaede fell to her knees. One of the women looked up slowly, her eyes meeting Kenji's. "Kill... me..."

Kenji was quick enough to slice through the man's belly! He coughed up blood, before falling over dead! Before he even had time to use his second blade, Kaede had already torn through the other man. The two lay dead on the floor.

"Let's try to keep that from happening again, eh?" She grinned sheepishly before peering into the room. It seemed that, despite the noise, there were no other guards or anyone around.

This next room was large, about the same perimeter as the brothel. Within, there was a single table, and three doors, one on every other wall, with one trap door leading up to the brothel, and a ladder next to it. This next room was just about as dirty and bloody as the room they were already in.

"Huh?!" Before Kenji could back away from the door, it would be bashed in, splinters of the wood flying into his skin. He would also feel a man's foot slam into his chest and knock him back!

The two men rushed into the room, weapons at the ready. The man in the back was about to call for help, before Kaede's hook-blade ripped through his jaw!

Kenji had a sword aimed straight for his neck!

The throws terrified the bandits, and he was able to slash the bellies of six of them! One of them charged him, but before he could do anything, he had an iron hammer smashed into his skull! The villager from before hurled his weapon to save Masahiro, and ran into the group and knocked the three living bandits onto the floor and then stomped on their necks, killing them in seconds!

"I thank you for your help, stranger," the villager spoke after a while, panting. "This is the first attack we've ever repelled, and it is because of you."

Upon Kenji's landing, the wood squeaked, and Kaede's landing made it squeak just a little more! While there was no one in their immediate room, they could hear voices coming from the other side of a door that was about fifteen feet in front of them.

"What was that?"
"I'm sure it's nothing, Kei."
"That damn door needs to be replaced..."

Kaede looked to Kenji, and then looked around her for a weapon. She found an old, dirty, iron hook.

If Kenji looked around the room, he would see that it was covered in blood stains, but other than iron chains and hooks, it was mostly empty.

Kaede would lean down with Kenji, and simply nod. The woman was unarmed, but she seemed confident enough. "Not the best, but I can hold my own." She wasn't about to jump in right away, however. She would go once the man was ready.

It was locked, but Kenji was able to unlatch it without a problem! He could see very little underneath, as the size of the trap door didn't allow much light. There was wood flooring, and what looked like a blood stain.

Satsumaru is leading a group of thirty men! They're about ready to get set up, but haven't just yet!

"Where do you want us, sir?"

They were volunteers, after all. This wasn't their typical gig.

Masahiro was successful! The leader was slain, cut in two by the mercenary hero's attacks!

The extra villagers who tried to help were quickly slain, though the man with the hammer continued to kick some ass, killing another six bandits in no time!

So, as you all know, the loot from Numa Castle is ridiculous. Takehiro and Naotora alone receive about 200+ in stat points from these item sets, and that puts them well above the strength of any daimyo or their armies. This is a very big case of stat inflation, and it's something I'd like to take care of now rather than later, so here it is.

Loot from Numa Castle is going to be changing. Rather than receive entire armor sets from Knights and Riders, you'll get their one (1) weapon and one (1) piece of armor, much like what people get from Stalkers and Rogues. (If you've done Numa, you'll know the ones I'm talking about. If not, just know you'll get one item/armor piece from now on).

Because of this rule, I'm asking that players get rid of the majority of their Numa Castle items. Keep one item per set. If you've already fused your items together, you get to keep one of the fused items from your fused armor sets. So here's how it'll all work:

1) Players will keep all weapons they've earned from dungeons.
2) Players will keep all loot from chests they've earned from dungeons.
3) Players keep all loot from Stalkers and Rogues they've earned from dungeons.
4) Players keep one armor piece per Knight and Rider they've killed in dungeons.
--- This means if you've killed one Knight and you got a full set, pick an item from the set you want the most, and you can keep it. Got a Rider set (Tak, Nao, Ryu, Haji, Kat, Yuki), pick the item you want the most.
---Players who have already fused their items from the Knight Sets, pick one item from your fused set to keep.
5) All players who have participated, or are currently participating in Numa Castle will receive monetary compensation.
--- All players who have completed Numa Castle will receive a flat 10k Yen compensation for losing these items and spending money on them.

The reason this is happening is because, again, stat inflation is a thing. And I want these re-settled before Okehazama's second round begins. Also, Numa Castle is an easy dungeon. Shouldn't be jumping stats that high.
