Naotora was indeed a long way from home. She had traveled this far simply due to the fact she wanted to see what other factions had to offer under their banners. She wanted to see what other warriors were capable of. She'd spent so much time with the Date forces, beating them up, she had no real clue what anyone else could do. It was because of this she found herself so far away from Oshu.
The woman pranced down a narrow pathway in a forest, and had encountered very few passersby on her way. What few had asked her if she was concerned about being attacked by bandits, or they expressed interest in her weapon, but none of the people she encountered were warriors. None of the people she encountered were interested in dueling. This saddened her a little, but she continued down the trail nevertheless, seeking someone who would be willing to fight, but not to kill.

On the same narrow pathway through the forest, going the opposite way, with his spear draped across his shoulders, his arms resting on top, Yukimura too was indeed far from home, but his reasoning was different. He was out so far from home simply to train in peace and quiet. Continuing to make his way down the path, off in the distance, he could make out a figure, but it wasn't until further down the path that he realized the figure was not moving away from him, but instead, moving towards him.
The moment the two of them crossed paths, he would stop, as on either side of the path, were ditches of mud, and he did not wish for his waraji to end up wet and muddy.
"... If you would step aside and allow me passage warrior, I would be most grateful."
