Coming Home... Again (Tak)

[Morei Haji]

I had my hood up as I walked along the road, a giant bag of coins in my kimono from my previous job I had just completed. Some guy wanted me to punch through his armor to test it out and see if it was battle-ready. Needless to say, I kind of shattered any hopes he had about having sturdy armor when my light-covered fist went right through it like butter... but hey, I was still paid generously for such a simple task.

"It's getting dark... I hope I can get home soon. I don't even recognize where I am..."

[Amakusa Takehiro]

While he was traveling along the road, Haji would find two people laying in the middle of it, unconscious. Both bodies bore the Mon of the Amakusa, and... one of them looked just like Takehiro.

What is going on here.

I stopped dead in my tracks. Were those... bodies? Approaching them carefully... I saw the familiar Mon of the Amakusa. My eyes widened as I realized one of the guys on the ground was Takehiro!

"T-Takehiro!" I quickly dropped to the ground and checked to see if he was alive. "Hey, wake up!" I began to shake him lightly. And who was that other guy with him? What happened? Were they assaulted? .... WHO COULD POSSIBLY KNOCK TAKEHIRO OUT?

Haji was about to see some weird shit.

The figure that looked like Takehiro happened to be Takehiro, and the figure that Haji didn't recognize was none other than Yamada Toshi, that guy he never met or heard of! The two, originally laying on their stomachs and faces, would just kinda... stand up. But here's the weird part: they didn't move their limbs. Imagine a straight board flat on the ground, and someone just pulls it up. Now replace that board with the human body, or two. Specifically, the bodies of Guan Ping and Zhao Yun Amakusa Takehiro and Yamada Toshi.

"I lost Totomi."

Wat.

[Morei Haji]

"Wat."

That was all I could get out as I saw Takehiro and other dude's bodies just levitate onto their feet as if being pulled by some kind of puppeteer. I looked up to make sure nothing was pulling them, because I was already in disbelief. I was freaking out hardcore, and they just looked so blank despite everything. Were they ghosts now? Were they going to take me too?!

"NO! I SWEAR IT WASN'T ME! I... What? Totomi?"

I blinked, calming down slightly but was extremely confused. Lost Totomi? As in his province?

"Someone took Totomi from you...?" WHO COULD POSSIBLY BEST TAKEHIRO IN BATTLE?!

[Amakusa Takehiro]

Takehiro and Toshi both looked at Haji, clearly concerned. Takehiro's lips curled into a frown, which only deepened and would look quite comical if he didn't seem so damn serious.

"No, I..." he stopped for a moment, looking up into the sky. That wasn't. No one bested him in battle. No one could. "I seem to have misplaced it."

Because that makes so much sense.

[Morei Haji]

I stared at him. I would stare at both of them. My eyes would dart from Takehiro to the other man. From the other man to Takehiro. Takehiro. Other man. Takehiro. Other man. Takehiro.

...

And still, they wouldn't say it was a joke or something. How...

"How... do you misplace an entire province...?"

[Amakusa Takehiro]

Toshi and Takehiro both looked at Haji, despair on their faces. Neither knew how to answer the question, though it didn't seem quite so outlandish to them. They both appeared sick and tired, though from what there were no hints.

"Where are we?"
"Who are you?"
"Who are we?"
"Where are you?"

If Haji paid close attention, he'd smell a familiar smell, one he'd recognize from his meeting with Takehiro in Owari.

I blinked again. That seemed like all I could do about this eccentric encounter. Blink. Before I could say anything though, a strange smell would penetrate my senses... a familiar one, at that... wait a minute...

"...Takehiro... is... is that..."

I quickly covered up my face and nose with my hands, backing away slightly.

"Offefhm?!" Translation: Opium?!

I was NOT going to go through this again! Hellllll naw!

[Amakusa Takehiro]

Takehiro's eyes widened and a tear rolled down his face as Haji reacted the way he did. "No, Haji, you don't understand!" the Daimyo would shout, reaching out with an arm. Just at that moment, a strange sound could be heard, and a metallic object on four wheels, with incredibly bright lights roared by, a strange horn blaring as it did.

And then, Toshi was gone.

"TOSHI?! TOSHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII?!"

I fell onto the ground in shock, backing away from that roaring monstrosity as it passed by.

"W-W-W-WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT? WHAT DID YOU DO, TAK?!"

I was freaking out. Like seriously freaking out. I had never seen a construct such as that before, and the technology seemed too advanced to be a war machine from another faction... or at least I hoped, I was afraid of what our enemies could possibly have. Looking up into the sky, I saw giant metal birds flying through the air abnormally quick... and they weren't flapping their wings.

AND WHERE WAS TOSHI?
