Ryokan [Bounty]

[Takeda Shingen]

The spinning motion of the halberd would serve to deflect the thrust from Takehiro towards Shimazu's legs, as the blade of the halberd, unlike the spear he previously used, was so large that its surface area could cover more than the spear head. Shimazu would in fact, not follow after Takehiro, but instead would go after Katsumi, his halberd spinning a little off to the side, but still mostly in front of him.

The stab from Takehiro bouncing off the halberd, just as Katsumi fired her arrows, Shimazu would crouch down low, akin to a hunter ready to pounce on its prey, and her shots would fire true... but not to where she wanted. As he leaped towards her, one arrow would bounce off the halberd, but the other would catch him in the chest, just above his heart. Knocked backwards, Shimazu would stumble backwards, towards the end of the pier.

A thin trail of blood running down his chin from his mouth, he would give Takehiro and Katsumi a menacing smile, before reaching up and firmly grasping the arrow, would rip it free form his chest, leaving him to bleed out. The arrow dropping to the pier with a clatter, Shimazu would stumble around for a bit, and would lean backwards towards the water... before falling to his knees, then dropping face first onto the pier, a pool of blood forming beneath him.

Their bounty hadn't end up at sea as feared, and now they were free to loot him if they so desired.

[Amakusa Takehiro]

Well, shit... they didn't want to kill the guy, and in being so careful, they... killed him. Well, that's a little loot down the drain, boohoo, yada yada, whatever. He had nice equipment on him, and Takehiro wasn't just going to let any of that go to waste. Even if it wasn't what he wanted, exactly, he could make a pretty penny off it.

"Well, Hiroshi," he began, poking Ujiyasu's body with the butt-end of his spear. "Let's split the equipment. Dead have no use for it, right?"

That sounded messed up, but a guy had to eat.

[Shinomori Katsumi]

The bounty had charged Katsumi, but the merc stood her ground, eyes narrowed sharply as she fired. While the arrow hit, it was not her mark, and she instantly grimaced at realizing where it was embedded. She highly doubted there was any coming back from this.

And Katsumi had been right. She watched the display of the man falling to his knees and dying, cursing herself quietly for being the cause. That extra money certainly would have been nice...

But there was no point on dwelling on the matter now. Although certainly later that evening, Katsumi would bully herself over making such mistakes and going over the whole scenario in her mind again and again, working out on how to improve.

Releasing a sigh, the merc nodded stepped forward and went up to the body. Turning to look at Takehiro, she said coolly before kneeling down to loot the corpse, removing her dagger from its sheath, "Once we're done, I'll remove the head and can carry it. You did most of the work anyway..."

[Amakusa Takehiro]

Takehiro shrugged, tossing his old, worn spear to the side. "Works for me." Since Hiroshi made no claims, he assumed it would be fair if he made his first. The mercenary reached down, taking the two polearms, and the mask the man wore. That would be enough personal reward for him. A new arsenal never hurt.

"You can have the rest."

[Shinomori Katsumi]

The woman nodded and sighed, resting on her knees and waiting for Takehiro to take what he wanted. She still felt that she owed him, and so it only seemed fair that he take first dibs. Then they would be even.

Katsumi would claim the rest, stuffing the necklace into the pocket of the sleeve of her kimono before moving on to the dirty work of severing the head. Oh boy.

Once she was done, the merc would stuff the head into a bag and hold it at her side. Tilting her head, Katsumi inquired, all of her shit packed up, "Ready to go, Takehiro?"

Amakusa Takehiro: +3 EXP

• Dragon's Halberd: Two-hand. This halberd has a very large blade, and on either side is a very ornate depiction of a dragon. It is extremely durable. +7 Str -2 Dex.
• Tiger Spear: Two-hand. This spear has an extra long handle, and the blade is rigid, allowing it to rip through flesh easier. +6 Str.
• Mask of the Hunted: This mask shows an expression of fear, making the wearer look weaker. Though it hides their identity quite well. +3 Con.

Shinomori Katsumi: +3 EXP

• Assassin's Blade: There is no guard on this blade, making it require a very strong grip to avoid cutting your own fingers. +4 Str.
• Steel Katana: This Katana is very well-made, and seems extremely sharp. Along the base of the blade are ridges, allowing carving to be much easier. Unbreakable. +4 Str.
• Tiger-tooth Necklace: This necklace shows the wearer's strength. +3 Str.
