Jina was out in a small village somewhere along the northern coast of Japan. She wasn't really sure where, since she had just been riding her horse for fun. When she arrived, she laughed. It was a fishing village, somewhat like the one she had been taken from in China, but much much smaller.
Men with nets were hauling in the day's catch, flinging fish from one hand to another until they landed in a transport wheelbarrow. The market was opening for the day and the freshness of the fish left a raunchy, but pleasant smell in the air.
She loved fish, much more than any other meat. Fish is light, flakey and flavorful. She enjoyed a properly cooked piece of fish since salt on its own was so hard (and expensive) to come by.
She saw a young woman approach one of the stalls at the market and being in a particularly good mood with some extra Date coin in her pocket, she went over to the man running the stall. She pulled him aside as the woman looked over the fish. She dropped a few coins in his hand and told him to give her an extra of whatever she bought.
As she walked off though, the woman came running after her with a large, reddish fish flopping in her hand.

(OOC: Attire minus the weapon of course ...... Kage ...... Horus ...... Tiger Eye bead bracelet ....... Belt charm ...... Black Sais, attached to either side of her waist. A single arrow with its tip covered in cloth rests across her back. ) .::It had been a long days ride for the mixed beauty. She was a long ways from her woodland home but giving what she was and her constant searching it was natural. The night prior she had finished a job in a village just a little ways over, this brought her riding about on Kage. Closing in on some small village the wind carried the scent of fresh fish straight to the trio. Who was the third in this seemingly odd pairing? Well none other than Horus who's eyes certainly lit up at the lovely smell. Kitana glanced behind her at the large bird sitting on the back of the saddle with a look oh 'behave'. If she didn't know any better she could've sworn Horus gave her a glare and rolled his eyes. Why was she surrounded with animals with their own little personalities? Couldn't they just be a little more normal than they were? Shaking her head she dismounted Kage as they walked side by side without her holding his reins. Horus had snuck off taking the skies with Kitana honestly hoping he didn't go and try to steal someone's fish::. .::Between Horus and Kage, Horus had more manners for certain but when he was really hungry and it was fish it was a coin toss with that bird. She adjusted the muffler so it laid more loosely away from her neck and face. Her attire of course drew a little attention. Roaming eyes falling on her in a cautious manner and rightfully so. Though the brunette cared nothing for their stares as she returned them. It was a habit that every new area she entered her eyes scanned about for multiple reasons. Call it paranoia, she calls it being tentative. Ever aware of her surroundings. As she walked there was a woman no more than a few feet in front of her strolling down the same path towards her. As Kitana was starting to move to the side she noticed another running up behind that one with a fish flopping about within her grasp. Nothing new right? Until that woman would find that fish suddenly snatched out of her grasp by Horus who had swiftly swooped down and scooped it out her hands. He perched himself upon the top of one of the nearby stands with the fish underneath him. Horus seemed pleased with himself. Kitana however was not as apparent by the shaking of her head and rolling of her blue hues. She continued her casual pace drawing nearer keeping her eyes on Horus::. ~I expected that from Kage. Just couldn't wait till I brought something huh. Must've been really hungry. They both have too much personality I swear.~

Jina looked back as the woman with the fish came running towards her. Just as she was about to get close enough to have a comfortable conversation, some kind of large bird of prey came swooping from the skies and snatched the large fish from the woman's hand.
Jina chuckled, the fish had been given as a gift to the woman but she had been reckless and given it to a hungry bird unwillingly. The woman's feet stopped immediately and her mouth hung open, slightly in shock and slightly in anger. Her fish, a gift, had been taken from right under her nose....literally.
"Ma'am, I hate to tell you this but, that was your fault." Jina said this between her heavy giggles and watched as the bird flew out of reach on top of one of the roofs. A woman on a horse was riding towards them as the fish guts flew from the roof on to the road below. The fish didn't stand a chance.
As the bird finished his meal, Jina continued to watch. The woman had left her a while ago but the creature fascinated Jina. She had never been this close to a bird of prey and the way it at fish reminded her much of her own self.
God...Jina loved fish.
