There was some kind of commotion outside! Jina peeked her head out the door of her on-ship cabin only to see the entire crew running about frantically. A loud crunching sound could be heard, and felt, throughout the ship. Rushing back inside, she grabbed her swords and bow, putting on her armor and packing all of her water. Having been living the life of a pirate in the past, Jina worried if her ship were being attacked.
If so, she would defend it. Once she got to the deck, though, she could see that it was not an attack from another ship. In fact, she couldn't even determine what was happening until she ran over to the side and looked down. A large rock had impaled itself in the front-port side of the ship. The ship felt like it was crumbling beneath her feet...oh wait...it was!
Without warning, the deck in front of her began cracking and quickly split in half. The boat wasn't that big, but it had been moving fast. To impale itself on something so large at such a high speed would rip an unfixable hole.
The boat was going down.
Hours later, after a long and deadly journey, Jina found herself laying on the shore of an island. She didn't know much about Japan except that it was an island, but this one was quite different. The island had all of the same trees and wildlife that Japan did, but sitting directly in the middle of the island was a huge mountain-like structure.
Jina passed out.
When she awoke, she rolled her head to the side, shocked to find a young man, about her age, passed out on the shore near her. His hair was all white. His pants were, ripped at the bottom? Jina didn't know who he was but he already seemed very strange to her. She got to her knees, then to her feet. She walked over to him and bent down, touching his head with one finger.
She poked him once, twice and then...

"...!"
The male jumped up and gasped in shock her pokes to him were delivered more of a pungent feeling to his body. For some odd reason he was /very/ sore. Also, who was this chick? He sure as hell didn't know her..or at least that's what his brain kept telling him; examine his pants Kazuhiro remained silent for a little while longer, he didn't really have anything to say. Although he figured he'd go out and try to at least find out where he was.
"Ah.."
He went to speak then froze up instantly. Wow this was awkward for him. In the condition he was in he was in no mood to talk to a female let alone anybody; he reached up into his hair and patted down on his head groaning slightly. At least his weapon and armor clung to him during his mysterious arrival on the island. Damn his head hurt like hell though, he couldn't really remember why he was here, taking a small breath Kazuhiro gave it another try.
"Hello!"
Hello?! Is that the best he could muster up to say in a situation like this? Maybe he hit his head a little too hard on whatever gave him the pain. Blinking slightly his golden eye frantically looked around. He was honestly afraid of how she would think of him. First impressions mean a lot to him.
"Hub! Do you know where I am..?"
He stated quickly trying to refrain from any more embarrassment.

Jina's brows creased a bit. This man seemed like some kind of idiot. "The boat sunk." She sighed and walked away. Some of the trees that were lined just past the sand were swaying with the light ocean breeze. The sun was bright, just past noon.
She had been a mercenary just a few months ago, so living off of the wilderness was something she was somewhat used to. It wouldn't bother her that she probably wouldn't be sleeping in a bed tonight, but her first priority was seeing if there were other people, or a way off of the island.
She didn't wanna be stuck with this...kid.
"Well, are you gonna help me look for a way off of this shitty place?" She yelled back at him. She was so frustrated to even be here. She wasn't really intending to be offensive, but the boy seemed like all he could do was stutter and ask where he was, as if he was too stupid to realize what had happened.
"I'll walk the beach if you go in the trees. Meet back here later." She wanted to stay away from him if possible but she wasn't sure if she could survive alone. THAT'S WHY SHE WAS LOOKING FOR OTHERS.
Off she went, walking along the beach. After a couple of hours, she hadn't found anyone else. Some pieces of the ship had washed up including a small dagger. She knew that she wouldn't probably need it but that bonehead might. Hopefully he knew how to defend himself against animals, at least.
She arrived at the spot where she had left him. The sun began to set and he still wasn't back. She sighed heavily. "What have I gotten in to?"

Kazuhiro as well took off. How rude was she? This is exactly why he disliked women. Well, he began to search in the forest; as he did he encountered a few harmless animals, he had to sneak his way past a boar and once he timed his distance he soon began to call out for help once more. Gah, why the fuck was he helping this lady?!
"Hold the fuck up!"
The white haired man stopped in his tracks and turned and made his way back towards where he came from. Wow, the sun was setting; clutching his fist he stepped out of the forest and hissed at the lady and winced slightly.
"Yo! Listen up lady! You're not gonna boss me around like some damn serf! I'm not your servant besides you're probably just as valueless as I am right now, right?"

"A bit hot headed, aren't we?" She was careful about choosing her words. She knew not to say anything offensive, but she was having trouble controlling her tone. Angry at her situation, and angry at this man for being so useless, she didn't really have an outlet.
"You don't have to help, but don't expect the same from me when you're hungry."
She already had trapped a small animal and was cooking it on a rock over a fire. She wriggled her toes in the sand, having taken her boots off. Her clothing had dried but the leathers of her armor and boots were still a bit damp, so she had them laid next to the fire.
She looked up at the sky and sighed. She definitely was not happy, "You don't have to be rude either. I'm Jina by the way." She didn't hold out her hand, or bow, or showed any sign of contentment.

She was right. He was easily provoked. Alas, this was not the time to do this, he was not physically prepared to capture an animal; taking a small breath he invited himself to the fire to warm up. God he ignored the dampness of his clothing but now the feeling was just aggitating.
"I'm Kazuhiro.."
He replied with a muffled tone as he began to dig a small hole in the sand for his slight amusement. Clearing his throat he sighed and began to speak again.
"There was no one in the forest. I saw a few animals but no harmful ones...er yet."
He could only figure there would be a predator in the forest maybe it was a night type of creature. He didn't assume this though..
"Well, I plan to go explore the rest of the island tonight. I might spot a fire or somethin', meanwhile we should probably look for the ship that brought us here. We probably could restore it, but it'll take time."

She didn't say anything to...Kazuhiro. He was playing in the sand as if this situation was some kind of game. She listened to his words, taking in what he was saying. No large predators, yet. He wanted to venture into the forest at night, fine. Then the started talking about he boat.
Did he really not remember? After he had finished, she lowered her head and sighed. "The boat...it's gone."
She laid back on her elbows, her right side was facing the fire. She really needed to warm up since that light ocean breeze was now giving her chills.
"You really don't remember what happened?" Her voice was a bit angry, somewhat scornful and there was a hint of hopelessness. She sighed loudly.
"A rock..ripped a hole in the side of the ship. The deck cracked beneath my feet and most dropped into the water. I swam for two hours until I found this island..." Her voice faded. How could he not remember? How did he get here?
It was then that she began to get suspicious. His ripped off pants and golden eyes. Maybe he was some kind of cannibal that inhabited this island, waiting for people that he could eat. Yeesh...
"How did YOU get here?"

"Well, I--"
He didn't know.
Kazuhiro gulped and glancedvdown at his torn pants. He didn't have to respond truthfully, but he didn't want to lie to the only one here with him.
"I don't know..all I remember was you waking me up. I hate how my clothes are torn though, although I'll have to suck it up and deal."
He stumbled up ad cracked his knuckles playing in his hair nervously. Anyways he didn't know if Jina wanted to accompany him. If she had a ship she probably had a crew unless they passed away.
"I supposevi should take off.."
The man scratched his hair and began paused for a second. Oh yeah..weapons were probably essential.
"Ah, Jina..you wouldn't happen to have anything use could use to defend myself with..?"
He spoke lowly. Wow how unprepared was he?

Without saying a word, she picked up the dagger laying next to her. She extended it, hilt out, toward the young man. Her face shouted anger but her eyes gave away her sadness.
Once Kazuhiro had left, she sighed. She had been so strong for so long that she broke down. Within seconds, she was sobbing. She pulled her knees to her chest and cried. After a few minutes, the tears subsided and she began to pray.
She didn't have an alter, so she figured it wouldn't work. She begged for her ancestors to hear her. After another hour, it was completely dark. With no village lights and with the fire almost burnt out, the moon and stars became her light.
She looked up, staring at them. She didn't have any idea what they were, but she prayed to them too. She begged for help from anyone. She was desperate...
After a while, she had drifted off in the sand. She was snoozing heavily after a very long and hard day. She didn't hear Kazuhiro return.

In the man's adventure he encountered a few more animals. This time they were aggressive, more aggressive than the other ones. Of course they were nothing he couldn't handle, but they were pretty clever as well and landed some blows which caused his clothes to be more tattered than they already were.
"Tch..disgusting animals.."
Anyways he found a tattered coat that was dirty but could work. And it was getting dark..he figured he should head back to Jina, about an hour later he retraced his steps making it back to the 'campsite' to see the sleeping woman. Oi, he figured she'd be up trying to find a way out but she wasn't.
"Um..anou.."
He mumbled and stepped up to her putting the coat over Jina. Yeah, it was dirty but who gives a damn in this type of situation. Sleep sounded good as well, but he didn't have time for that. He probably was gonna go find some small animals to kill for breakfast..but his hunting skills were compared to a novice. Oh well, he'd make it work..

Only a few hours later, Jina awoke from her deep sleep and almost jumped to her feet from the scare of her dreams. The sun was coming up which helped brighten her mood, which only lasted seconds. Once she realized that what had happened the day before was reality, her shoulders seemed to sink far beyond a reasonable level.
Her heart too felt like it sank. She didn't want to be on this island another stinking minute, much less with some cannibal not-knowing-how-to-survive boy. She immediately began to grumble to herself and pulled off some coat that had been placed over her during the night. She pinched it between two of her fingers, the grime covering her own clothes, skin and fingers where it had laid.
"What...the fuck..." The dirt didn't crumble, it ran. The coat slimed over her until she flung it off completely, flipping it into the sea. It twirled in the air, splattering her just a bit more before landing in the water. She cringed heavily. "Grossssss!"
She didn't hesitate to splash herself into the water as far from the coat as possible. She couldn't contain her cursing and some very naughty words spewed from her mouth.
After she had tried to get all of the slime off of her, she moved out of the water back to where the fire had been the night before. She went to the edge of the woods and gathered some more fuel so that she could get the fire lit again. Within a few minutes, the fire was burning.
She had also grabbed a few long sticks so that small animals could be roasted instead of "fried" (placed on a hot-ass rock) and waited for Kazuhi-NO to return. She almost, ALMOST hoped that he had been killed during the night. She knew that he would probably be good for something, she just couldn't think of what he would be good for.

Breakfast! It was finally breakfast! The man had spent his night piling up branches from trees and collected several small creatures in which he wanted to suprise Jina but he'd doubt it work; as he arrived to see the woman up and well she looked kinda upset.
"I got some...breakfast...!"
He announced to her and gulped walking forward tossing the animals to her and pointed to the branches.
"And that's our fire fuel."
The young man groaned sighed putting a hand on his hip; holding the dagger in his free hand.
"Well, whatcha been up to?"
Kazuhiro was trying to strike casual conversation. It probably wouldnt work, though..

Jina glared at him. The "breakfast" he had collected was some kind of squirrel, barely the size of her fist and some eggs that he had gathered from nests in the trees. There was barely enough for one person, but the boy seemed so proud of himself.
Instead of actually saying anything, Jina began skinning and gutting the squirrel, letting some of the blood fling over onto Kazuhiro's clothing.
They ate breakfast in silence, using wood with holes in it as a bowl. As the day wore on, so did the fire. Jina had spent a few hours checking out the island, looking off into the distance for land and gathering things she thought may be useful.
Truthfully, she spent as much time away from Kazuhiro as possible. She was already furious enough and his nonchalant attitude made it even harder to keep her cool.
The next morning, she woke up and he wasn't sitting near the fire. Instead of trying to find a way out, Jina spent DAY 3 catching herself a meal for the night. The wood on the island was dry so it was easy to always keep a fire going. The only problem now was finding fresh water. She had been savoring what she had left after the ship wrecked (she had grabbed her "wine"skin before the boat capsized).
DAY 4, Jina spent looking for water. She encountered one of the boars that Kazuhiro had mentioned and had managed to kill it. Instead of water, she got more meat. The night of DAY 4, they ate like kings....well, kings of the island.
By DAY 5, both were becoming dehydrated and the search for water became more drastic. On this day, Jina screamed at Kazuhiro for being clumsy about one thing or another. She didn't really have an excuse why, but she felt so stressed, anxious and afraid that she was starting to break. They needed water.
DAY 6, luckily they found a small brook at the base of the mountain. Both drank freely and breathed sighs of relief.

The few days that Kazuhiro spent with Jina was outrageously long and a pain the ass. It seemed like everything he did was wrong, even when he was doing something right! God dammit Jina get off my ass and do something productive with your life. The only thing that kept him from causing an argument between the two was that he knew he needed her to survive on the Island, otherwise he'd be dead meat. So as an alternative he would put %100 effort into each day. Around day 5 that was physically impossible, dehydration was eating at him. On day 6 he was saved by the small brook they encountered.
DAY 7: Kazuhiro tried to start casual conversation with Jina. In turn he was screamed at for slacking off. Later that day he made his way to the landing site of where they awoke, there he tried to fish for some food but ended up choking on the salt water. In turn he was yelled at by Jina for being a clumsy idiot and the proceeded to show him the progress in her food collection, needless to say she put him to shame.
DAY 8: Mitogawa ripped his clothing more trying his best to wrestle a boar. He lost. Then was screamed at by Jina for failing such a simple task, she then killed the boar and cooked it for herself. He didn't want to eat anyways; that following night he successfully hunted a few small creatures and gathered some shells that he intended to use for cups so hi m and Jina didn't have to drink with their hands.
DAY 9: He was growing tired at the life they were living, in good news his skills with the knife he was given gotten a bit better. He had a tactic that will ensure him to kill one of the boars in the forest. All day he neglected his meals to sharpen his knife with a few rocks he had kept around for that reason exactly; that night it was awkwardly colder than the other nights. Probably because they had moved closer to the mountain.
DAY 10: He finally did it! He caught the boar! Well...more of trapped it, he couldn't kill it because he didn't believe he could defeat it. Alas, Jina had to kill it for him, then once again scolded him but she didn't scream and that's all he was kind of okay with that. Afterwards the two at the boar for supper and began to prepare for the night for if it was anything like the night before they both would be prepared.

Day 11 - Admittedly, Jina was glad that the two had eaten the boar last night. Both of their stomachs were full, too full for breakfast. Remenants of the boat had begun washing up on the beach and the two unlikely (and still unwilling) pals began building themselves a raft to escape this horrid place.
Day 12 - Raft building unsuccessful. When they had collected all the wood they needed, they realized that they had no rope and nothing to tie the raft at all. Jina began weaving (as best she could) rope from the bark of some of the softer trees on the island. Kazuhiro remained useless, having no experience with his hands. He weaved like a newborn.
Day 13 - Weaving continued. Half of the weaving was accidentally burned and as much as she didn't want to admit it, the burning was Jina's fault. She expected to be yelled at by Kazuhiro, but he remained quiet, attempting to weave his part of the rope.
Day 14 - Rope weaving continued. Jina stopped yelling at Kazuhiro and instead clicking like she would with a dog. That didn't last due to Kazuhiro's explosive response. He refused to be treated like a dog. Yeah, he was right, she agreed. She began just looking at him funny when he messed up.
Day 15 - Rope weaving finished. Kazuhiro had stayed up all night finishing the weaving. Jina was so happy upon waking up that she actually cried. Kazuhiro just looked at her until she finished. They spent the rest of the day attempting to rope together the raft.
Day 16 - Raft completed. Yey! Boo. The raft fell apart in the water. The two lost all of their rope, wood and supplies. Fresh water and food were lost as well. Later in the evening, some of their things washed back up on the beach.
Day 17 - Rope weaving began again. Kazuhiro was much faster with this now. The two had almost finished the rope weaving when they found that there was no more bark to be peeled. Jina and Kazuhiro had to begin searching for something new to make rope again.
Day 18 - Just before sunset, Kazuhiro found another tree that was growing higher on the mountain with soft, peelable bark. He collected as much as he could and carried it back to the camp. Jina was once again happy, but this time didn't respond hardly at all. As much as she was glad that he had found something, it was almost as if she held a small grudge from the first few days. Lately it seemed that Jina was screwing up instead of him, and she was embarassed.
Day 19 - Camp was attacked by some kind of small wildlife. The animal took their food, put out their fire and took a s**t where Jina had made her bed. Wonderful. Kazuhiro snickered at her, so she flinged the poo at him. Ha, poo face.
Day 20 - Weaving of rope once again completed. Jina and Kazuhiro not speaking due to the poo-flinging incident. They had planned on starting the raft the next day, but things were looking...bleak.

DAY 21: This damn rope seemed to never stay perfect. The animals that had attacked the camp a day before got the jump on him while he was asleep that night, when he awoke later that night he saw the ruined work and wanted to cry but instead he sucked it up and continued to start up another rope. This time he'll get it.
DAY 22: Mitogawa had been super silent. He was so fed up with this wild life. Jina had been putting together the raft that they clearly had to make improvements on. The man eventually finished his rope weaving and made his way to help Jina complete the raft, by helping her he means to fix the little mistakes she had made.
DAY 23: It was unbearably hot, the man was shirtless that entire day as he fixed up the raft. Jina was left in charge of cooking and hunting, he obtained a few splinters from the raft but it was a small price to pay. Later that night Kazuhiro attempted to make Jina laugh. In return she ate his portion if dinner. Although he didn't mind it all to much, he wasn't hungry at all!
DAY 24: The raft was done! And when he tested it floated! He was impressed, then he praised Jina for her good work. Ah that evening he ate a lot for dinner, he was so damn tired, Afterwards he went to drink some water by the mountain! "A~ah.." It was perfect!
DAY 25: Him and Jina basically spent the day collecting the food for the trip ahead of them.
DAY 26: So close to departure! All he had to do was occasionally stop and fix the raft's lose ends and soon went to retrieving food for the trip.
DAY 27: They obtained food, water and animal fur; they used that for warmth just in case it got cold. Kazuhiro had been driving from three straight all nighters! He was so excited that him and Jina finally set aside their childish bickering and finished the raft.
DAY 28: Jina allowed Kazu to sleep in that day. He was worm out. The scar on his back ached like hell, he wasn't usually pushed to his limits like this; the man awoke that night and fueled the fire that they set on a routine schedule.
DAY 29: Jina harshly woke up the man and ordered him to go and fetch a few more animals for them to feast on for the night; and as he did that Jina just sat around relaxing as she pleased. He was pretty steamed about that. After dinner, Kazuhiro ate like a pig so he could sleep well for the evening, tomorrow was the planned day for departure.
DAY 30: Yes! Er..well yeah. It wasn't exactly the best command but Jina was especially bossy about the raft. Screaming at the boy for every little mistake he did with the raft. "Don't break it, idiot!" "Be careful, shitflake!" Yep she referred to him as shitflake because of his hair. Well at least he got the raft to work, no. THEY got the raft to work. Perfect. Ah..well, he was first to step on. He was hessitant, the raft wobbled, yep. It was expected, there was water. He was kinda afraid to step on but Jina harshly shoved him! He stumbled onto the wooden savior and Jina stepped on afterwards; they then raised up the small sail that was made up of some used clothing they found and well..by that evening were sailing away from the island; With Jina of course making Kazuhiro due the rowing. Even if they were saved her attitude stayed the same. Yuck.
