Lean and tall, Yukimura has a lightly tanned complexion and a wiry but tensely muscled build. Built more for speed and striking quickly than pure strength, his muscles are tight and highly defined, like corded rope, throughout his body, and his stomach sports a carved abdominal eight-pack.
Yukimura has a permanent scar running from the top of his left shoulder to the top of his collar bone from the wound Hattori Hanzo inflicted and a scar on his left leg when he was stabbed, both in battle.
Personality: Yukimura has a rough outward appearance and acts cool, but inside he has a stubborn heart and is hot-headed. He is very devoted to his lord and highly respects Shingen, addressing him as "great lord" (お館様, Oyakata-sama). Yukimura values honor and duty above all else, and is very respectful of his adversaries, fighting with no tricks or cheating. His ideal is to walk the path of the warrior, and constantly searches for new possibilities to test his skills.
In his life, battles are everything. A true warrior at heart, he believes every man's worth -including his own- can only be seen in the battlefield, and is very driven to prove himself.
History: Nobushige, also known as Yukimura, was the second born and second son to Masayuki Sanada, and younger than his older brother, Nobuyuki, by one year. From the day Yukimura was born, he was trained as a samurai, Masayuki putting his sons through a strict and harsh training regiment, all so that Nobuyuki and Nobushige could eventually become a part of Takeda Shingen's army and fight alongside his father. That all changed however, when Tokugawa Ieyasu and his troops invaded their territory, intent on overthrowing them and taking control of their lands.
During the battle, Yukimura fought alongside his father and older brother, the three of them taking down enemies left and right, the numbers slowly thinning out. Their father letting out a hearty roar, not only from the thrill of the battle and their enemies numbers lowering, but also seeing his sons in battle, his roar was cut short as more enemies came charging at them from the crest of the battlefield hill distracting him long enough for one of Uesugi's men to sneak up on him and slash him in the back, right where he stood. At the sight of his father's crumpling body, Yukimura let out a cry akin to that of a wounded beast, and with fury in his eyes, proceeded to slaughter every enemy in his sight, losing track of his older brother in his rampage.
However, the sheer number of enemies eventually overwhelmed Yukimura, and he ended up sustaining major injuries that placed him in a coma, including an injury to his shoulder. By the end of the battle, both sides had taken a heavy number of casualties. Before his strength gave out on him, Masayuki managed to drag his way to the bleeding and crumpled forms of his sons, and literally dragged himself all the way to Shingen's camp. There, before his body gave up on him, father and sons were rushed to the medical tents and given immediate medical aid.
The last thing Masayuki saw before he passed out was his sons being placed onto beds and the doctor rushing into the tent. Months later, Yukimura awoke, completely healed of the dire injuries that had been inflicted on him, including the injury to his shoulder and leg, though it left permanent scars behind. With his older brother fully recovered and in charge of defending their castle and land and his father still recovering from his injuries, Yukimura set out not only to avenge his father and ensure his efforts to save him were not in vain, but also to become more stronger to ensure his father's safety while he continued to recover.
