Taming the Beast [Maki/Open]

[Kuroshi Maki]

As I thought it would be ok, she just slapped her hand against my face. It didn't really hurt but I could hear the sadness and anger in her voice and all she spoke was true. "You idiot. Why the hell were you stealing. Not every thing has to be a fight." It was a stupid reason, and I had to make sure I didn't die because I was protecting her. "If you needed money, I could have given you some. I've spent days looking after those men, and you were going to get yourself killed over stealing, and you pride." I would look at her, and my face shocked of the reason that I meant anything to her in that way. "You'll protect me, as a corpse will you?"

" You are right, I would not be so foolish anymore, please forgive me "

I would then turn at the man as he also begun to speak at us. "If it's protection you seek, you'll find that here. And you would grow strong under my command." His words did make me wonder. Would I be able to protect her without having a home or some sort. Growing stronger by a man that just bested me with darkness itself could be a option.

" I will join on a few conditions, the first will be nobody will be coming near her, or even mock her or I will kill them and you will allow it. Second reason will be you will show me the way you become this strong. And the last reason will be if I find those I seek, you will not question my leave. "

If these three commands would be granted I would give the man a node instead of a handshake but it would be final.

[Gabriella Santos]

Gabriella would try her hardest ignore Maki asking for forgiveness but failed to. While she didn't turn back to him she couldn't help but do so silently. They were both alive and even if Maki had in her mind acted like a fool, she couldn't stay anger. Anger was his thing, not hers. She listened as the man offered them protection and Maki a path to strength and assumed that Maki would ignore it. That his pride would get in the way, espically since the man had just bested him.

However much to her surprise, he instead listed a set of conditions that he would join if the man said yes. Gabriella spun on the spot as Maki finished. She didn't know the man, and the man obviously wanted to bring Maki under his control not her. However she realised that Maki would listen to her, just as she would probably follow if he did indeed join along side this man, making a home for himself. 

"And a explanation of your motives. No one tries to recuit the 'Best'..." She emphasised her word implying that she still though that Maki could have one had she not interfered, the power the man had was odd, but not unbeatable. "...without a reason. No one builds a army without one either" She would point out, she didn't want Maki agree to join someone only to find out he was fighting for something against what he believed, or she believed for that matter. 

[Amakusa Takehiro]

Takehiro simply nodded to the man. No one in Totomi would likely do him any wrong, and if the man harmed anyone in the fief, Takehiro would kill him himself without question. As for anyone else, however, dishonoring a man often led to them trying to kill you, so it wasn't much he wouldn't allow. It was understandable that he wanted to protect this woman.

"I promised strength, and I would be a liar if I did not train you, good man."

He smiled, turning to the inquisitive woman. "My motives are simple: to protect the people of this land. This is why an army is necessary. The Tokugawa are on one side, and they stand by the Oda, who seek this land for themselves. On the other side, we have the Imagawa, who are the greatest army this country has ever seen. Can you give me a good reason not to build an army to protect the people?"

[Kuroshi Maki]

It seems she was way smarter then me when it came to things like this. She would ask for motives as I didn't I just gave a small list of demands basically. She was like the person that completes me. As the man did agree to my demands I would raise my hand at him for a shake. Now that things were settle I would give him my name for the first time.

" The name is Maki, rather have to be called that then beast. "

I would after turn at her, would she join me and betray the Oda or would she remain on their side because of her father. Either way I would protect her as this man promised me strength and with that she would never have to worry anymore.

[Gabriella Santos]

Gabriella would tilt her head and listen with interest as the other man listed his reason. It made sense why he was building one then but did he really think that he would be able to oppose both of them. A army build up in such a small part of the land surely couldn't rival the Imagawa. 

She looked at the two men. They did already have two demons though. Could that give them a chance. Could she go back to the Oda, knowing that Maki was here in a army that could be putting itself against the Oda at some point from what the leader had explained. 

"I can't leave you here along. You'll get yourself in to some sort of mess again somehow." Gabriella said after Maki had looked her expectantly. She was still slightly angry at him, and didn't want to portray the emotion of caring for the other man, at least until she was in a better mood. "I'm Gabriella. I'll need to send word back to my father, but i'm not leaving him alone here with you." She would say, scratching her neck were the blade had been earlier. That ability the man had, it worried her. 

[Amakusa Takehiro]

Gabriella and Maki? The former of the two names confused him a little, but it was a foreign name, so that was to be expected. Regardless, he smiled and bowed his head in respect as their names were given. That was enough for him. It seemed like the beast could not be tamed without the woman, but two additions to the ranks were not unwelcome.

"Of course, Miss," Takehiro spoke calmly. "I am Amakusa Takehiro, Daimyo of this fief, as you know." Another bow of his head would follow. "Come now, we can talk business later. Surely, you're hungry, Maki; allow me to buy the two of you a meal, a drink, something."

[Kuroshi Maki]

It seems I found a home for now, but this was not only for me. This way it was better to keep her save and grow in strength. Being part of this fraction how ever did not mean I would always fall to command just because I wear there flag. I would never let them split me and her up if they would they will be in for a fight.

Hearing the food part I could hear my belly just roar, I would nod. I haven't eaten for some days now. I could use some to regain my strength and a drink for her would probably be well received also. I would follow the man to were ever he would buy the food. Placing the Guan Do on my back. My hand would grab that of her to let her follow. Even if she was still angry, I would make up for it.

[Gabriella Santos]

A drink did indeed sound good. She had just wasted her last bottle on trying to distract Takehiro in that fight. It was a weakness of her's that she drank so much she knew. But it was to her a good reason. Unless someone made away to just get rid of the pain in her arm she probably would till the day she die. Whenever that would be. She made a mental note of the man's name. If she was going to be hear for the long haul knowing the Daimyo personally would be a useful thing.

Reaching inside her clothes, She pulled out a pouch. "I won't drink you dry for free." She said tossing the pouch at the other man. She knew that he was offering to treat them, seeing as they had joined him. But he didn't know that if given the chance to drink for free she probably would drink way more then was reasonable, not that paying stopped her normally anyway. Sure the man would catch the pouch, she would then willingly follow where he lead. 

[Amakusa Takehiro]

Takehiro caught the pouch of coins, initially meaning to decline, though if the woman would help stimulate the place's economy, he could not complain. With a nod, he would lead the two to a nearby tavern, before guiding them to a table. He would let them get seated, before he would approach the bar. "Yamada, I'd like three of the best meal you can cook up at my table." The man smiled and nodded, about to take off before Takehiro held up a hand to stop him. "And a round of sake for everyone - you and the other workers included - on me." The Daimyo let out a laugh and handed Yamada the pouch of coins Gabriella gave him, along with another that matched its size.

The workers would quickly begin handing out cups of sake, and the people cheered at their Daimyo's kindness. Not long after, the meals would be brought to Gabriella, Maki, and Takehiro. Mutton, it seemed, with a side of rice. "Enjoy, friends," he spoke, digging in, himself. "This is on me."

[Kuroshi Maki]

Sitting down next to her, I would wait for the meal. I hadn't eat in days. The smell would make water fill my mouth. Having the bowl placed down I could not even wait for the to say anything and started to eat it down really fast. I didn't care that anyone was around. It didn't take long before I finished my meal. And would slide it down with the sake.

" I hadn't eaten in days, when me and her split up. "

When me and her split up I didn't had any money left and didn't do any jobs to earn them. Simply because I had allot going on inside my head. I was changing yet only for one person.

[Gabriella Santos]

Gabriella would sit and await the meal and drinks. Picking up the first cup of sake given to her and downing it unceremoniously. Quickly she would pour a second and drink it as well. Looking at Maki as he quickly rushed eating his meal before she had even started hers. Pulling the meal closer to her she would start to eat herself, it was slow and awkward, her leaning close to the table in order to make things easier for herself. 

Maki had finished his quickly however, and mentioned how long it had been since he ate. Shaking her head, she couldn't believe that the man took so little care of himself. No wonder he had tried stealing if he hadn't eaten for days. "You need to take better care of yourself. I'm sure Amakusa-san here would tell you a strong warrior need food just like any other." She would say looking to the Daimyo for some form of agreement from the man.
