Name: Zhuo Jina
Faction: Mercenary
Ethnicity: Chinese
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Height: 5'0"
Weight: 105
Eye Color: Brown
Hair Color: Black
Appearance: Jina has a slight frame with strong legs. Her ribcage is thin, below average for a young Chinese woman. Her legs are long, taking up most of her height. As a young child, she wore the traditional Chinese attire for a woman, but due to recent lifestyle changes, she now wears leather armor. Her hair is long, touching her shoulder blades, but she keeps it tied high. She wears light but sturdy shoes created specifically for her small feet.
Personality: Jina is shy in intimate situations, but can be quite outspoken if provoked. She grew up in a very patriarchal society which has lead to respect to men and authority figures. When alone, Jina is noticeably anxious. She often paces while analyzing situations and can feel easily overwhelmed. In battle, Jina is quiet, generally planning her next moves in her head. She lets others speak and unless a problem arises, usually has very little to say. When in the presence of authority, she is respectfully quiet, answering when asked questions.
History: Jina was born in a relatively large village in eastern China near Ningbo. She was the daughter of a mid-ranking military official. Her father, a strict man, employed tactics of fear and physical control to obtain what he wanted from his family and all those he interacted with. As such, she grew up to be a gentle and quiet woman. Once she was of age (had bled her first time), she was to be married to an older man who was also a military official. After she was married, she moved with the man to Taizhuo, where the city was attacked by Japanese pirates in 1559. She was taken captive by these pirates, who lost the month-long battle at Taizhuo. Upon their escape back to Japan, she was taken with them. It was on this ship (and eventually, in Japan) where she learned to fight with a thin, flexible stick. With her golden hairpiece given to her by her husband, she was able to buy new clothes, after having gone months without anything other than this single possession. Although she was quiet, many of the pirates took a liking to her. So much so, in fact, that many gave her gifts of small gold pieces to earn her fondness. Eventually, she acquired enough to purchase a proper sword (a Beginner's Rapier) and leather armor, loaning herself out as a mercenary in her newfound home.
