You liked AC right? You could try Amazing Spiderman. Same open world and climbing sort of concept. And if you haven't already, the Batman Arkham trilogy is like a reskinned AC.

Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, and Sengoku BASARA are my go to game series when life's really getting to me. Nothing beats slaughtering thousands of enemies stylishly.
There's also Warriors: Legends of Troy which was pretty awesome too.
If you're up for an RPG, I recommend the Ys franchise. Memories of Celceta on the Vita is my current favorite Vita game. The Oath in Felghana is one of the more challenging, but fun games to come out of the PSP generation and it's on the PSN. Killer soundtrack too. Ys Seven is also wonderful. They're all standalone titles so you can jump into any single one without worry.
EDIT: The Ys games are action RPGs in every sense of the word. The gameplay is fast, hectic, and the primary focus of the game. The plots are generally classic ones as the games are mostly remakes of older Ys titles (Oath in Felghana is a remake of the SNES Wanderers from Ys, for example, and Memories of Celceta is a remake of Ys IV which never came to America). There are also different types of gameplay present. Oath is a single person party that relies heavily on reflexes and skill to play, whereas Memories of Celceta and Seven are full party-based games that kind of remind me of the Tales series without the transitions into battle.
Ys: Memories of Celceta is also the main reason I grabbed a Vita. I got it for that game and did not regret it. >.>

Lol ya know what's said I either have or at least tried all those lol. I've had the Arkham series from jump lol. Yeah I'm waiting on the bf to finish the Y's game for the vita so I can't snatch it lol.
Oooooo wait Eric Remember Me is free this month right? I totally forget I should go download that and try it out yaaaaaaaaaayyyy too bad it won't be today I just realized I have the late shift waaaaa*cries*
And I think I need to reinstall my Sengoku 0_0 I think I accidentally removed it awhile back for some space lol.

Ys is addictive so you might be waiting a while, haha.
And yeah, Payday 2 came out for free download yesterday (4.2 GB patch, my god) so next week will be Remember Me. I'm really excited for that actually.
