Shou would successfully manage to catch up and jump onto his horse, Hideki scooting back to make room for him, but an arrow would catch Shou on the leg, leaving a shallow cut on his leg. For all the pain though, he would manage to reach the forest, but just before he was in the clear, two more arrows that Hideki could not swat away due to only being able to cover one side at a time, would slash across Shou's arm and other leg. But he would reach the forest, as behind him, he could hear the sounds of arrows whistling through the forest, only to end up buried in trees.
Some arrows would make it through, but they would fall short of hitting him and Hideki. Shou would have some time to tend to his and Gokaze's wounds, but he would have to hurry, as the Uesugi soldiers knew of other bridges to cross the chasm, and it would not take them long to catch up.

Safe for now Shou would dismount rapidly. His back in pain from where he had been hit. Cutting a sleeve from his clothes, pushing up his armour, he looked down at the the wound. Part of the arrow shaft still was in him, but removing it here would be to dangerous. Instead he quickly wrapped himself close to help with the bleeding, and dropped his armour back into place.
Gokaze however was hurt not seriously but was sure to slow the animal down treating the beast would take way too long, there wasn't anyway to wrap such a large animal. "I was saving these, good boy." Shou would say, pulling some food out of a pouch and feeding it to the animal. Remounting he hoped that it would encourage the animal to get them to safety as quickly as possible as Shou set off through the tree in the direction he knew to be the nearest Takeda camp now they where back in Kofu.

Shou would see the minor wounds Gokaze sustained close up immediately, and the boost of energy from the kibi dango would take effect immediately, as Gokaze would quickly rise to his feet, one hoof stamping at the ground energetically. As soon as Shou re-mounted the horse, he would take off, galloping full-on through the forest, Hideki literally holding onto the saddle for dear life. Behind them, Shou would hear the sound of yelling, as a few arrows came whizzing through the trees, but nothing would hit them.
It seemed the Uesugi soldiers had decided against chasing after them, since that would require them stepping into Kofu, and they would be horribly outnumbered. Shou was pretty much home free, but he would begin to feel the effects of the injuries he sustained, weakening him with each passing second. He'd have to hightail it to the nearest Takeda camp, before he passed out.

Shou could feel his strength fading, the wound he sustained taking hold. However noticing the Uesugi forces no longer follow Shou felt some of the urgency fade. He knew that was stupid, that sense of urgency would have kept him going. Taking one hand from the reigns, Shou slapped himself hard across the face. It was something to keep the adrenalin flowing, something that would help keep him conscious. Retaking the reigns he rode like his life depended on it, because it most likely did. While he trusted the spy to take over rising them to safety if he did succumb to his injury, he expected that he was the better rider, and getting to aid faster was more likely to allow him to survive.

The closer Shou got to the nearest Takeda camp, the more he felt weaker, further slipping closer to unconsciousness. Slapping himself would delay blacking out momentarily, but the adrenaline buzz he felt from the chase was slowing down. Fortunately for him, he could see two guards stationed outside the gate of the Takeda camp, and as soon as Gokaze was close enough, Hideki would slip off the horse and run towards the guards, showing his Mon of the Takeda to them immediately.
"We need the head doctor immediately! Yamabara-san is injured and requires medical aid immediately!"
One guard quickly nodding and dashing off into the camp, to get the head doctor, the other guard would help Shou off his horse and with another soldier's help, would carry Shou into the camp, two more guards rushing past them to resume guard duty, while Hideki would lead Gokaze into the camp, keeping the horse calm while his rider was patched up.

Shou groaned in pain, far away as he was helped from his horse and carried inside. Mind in the past and old memories. It had been arrows back then that had nearly taken his life as well, preventing him from getting a message to aid his quick enough. A faint realization in his mind ended the parallels, for while back then succumbs to his wounds had meant he had been to late, had failed. Here he was now, and Yamada and the information that he had was with him safe.
Eventually he would be lay down somewhere, he couldn't tell where but knew it was a good thing. However something stopped him from drifting off from blood loss. "Yamada-san." He called weakly, not knowing if the man was wish them. "Delivery the info." He'd order the spy, if he was going to be here bleeding he may as well insure that job was done.

After Hideki had taken Gokaze to the stable, letting the horse take a well-deserved rest, he would make his way to the medical tent where Shou was taken and just started to be tended to by the head doctor, entering just as Shou called out for him weakly. Quickly rushing over to Shou's bedside, Hideki would crouch down beside the injured courier, the Takeda spy brows furrowing, before eventually nodding his head.
"I will Yamabara-san. You just concentrate on recovering."
Straightening up soon after, Hideki would then quickly take his leave, using one of the other horses in the stable, and would ride off to Kai, the capital of Kofu, and where Lord Takeda Shingen's base of operations was located.
