I felt the hairs on the back of my neck stand up when Yukimura's blade ended up inches from my neck, before he sheathed his weapon. I let out a sigh of relief, sheathing my own weapon before turning to face him.

"I could become the best samurai...? But, Sanada-san, you're on a whole different level from myself. I am certain you'd make it there long before me. But... I thank you for the compliment, nonetheless."

Training. I had to train. If this was a real fight, Yukimura would've taken my head right off.

Mmm, the 24 hour rule can't apply here because of the fact that only he can GM this event. So after Haruyuki's post, round one will come to an end until Brandon is able to return. If all goes as planned, he'll be back in a few more days.

"Your fault...? But..."

I stared at her, confused. What did she mean? From what she said, she didn't seem like she set me up... instead, she mentioned a man that resembled me. lol another Aeron And that he frequented an inn on the border of Oki. But before I could press her for more information, she left, and I didn't have a chance to stop her. Who was she? Was she perhaps the Daimyo's wife...? Nah, why would she be way out here...?

I didn't have time to think though, for there was shouting behind me. I had to move quick! I quickly dove into the empty house, hoping I could stay out of sight. I needed to gauge the enemy's strength before deciding what the best course of action would be. And I had to find that lookalike before he caused even more trouble.

Arm covering my face, I laid there, motionless. My tears had dried up, and now I was just left with an empty but heavy feeling. It was like someone was standing on my chest, and I couldn't push them off. I felt so weak. Breathing didn't seem so natural anymore. With every breath brought a sharp pain in my abdomen from the stab wound.

I heard someone come in, but didn't move to acknowledge them. I didn't know what they wanted, nor did I really want to talk to them. I felt another check up on me was pointless. I would only tell them I was okay again in that same quiet voice. I guess it was obvious that I wasn't. They never believed me.

I didn't know how long it had been, but a voice was calling out to me, increasing in volume until I finally snapped from my thoughts. The words that did it? "Your friend is awake." I turned to face them finally, slowly. My eyes fixated on the woman who helped us previously.

"Katsumi is... awake...?"

My voice came out a little rough and quiet, having not spoken in some time. The woman nodded. "She's doing alright. It'll take some time, but she should make a full recovery... she also says that she's sorry." The woman said, leaving after realizing I wasn't going to say anything more.

Katsumi was... sorry...? For what? It was me that messed up. It was me who let her get into this situation, because I wasn't there to protect her... It was me... so why was she apologizing...?

"Katsumi..."

I tried to sit up, my wounds screaming at me to stop, but I wouldn't listen. With a grunt, I would attempt to get off of the bed, but my lack of strength would send me tumbling to the floor instead, landing on my side. It took all I had right now to not scream, but I had to keep quiet. They wouldn't let me see her yet... so I had to go on my own...

Crawling up to my feet, I would slowly walk towards the door, a little dizzy. This seemed to take a lot out of me, despite being so simple. But from here, I would camp by the door, making sure no one was around before making my way out and towards Katsumi's room. I would fall in front of her room again, gritting my teeth in pain. I managed to push her door open, crawling inside quick enough to not get noticed before shutting it behind me.

I would lean up against the wall, panting from the strain on my body, looking up towards Katsumi. I'd slowly make my way over to her, crawling weakly. Every movement felt like death, but after what seemed like an eternity, I would find my place beside her, collapsing next to her and laying my head by her waist. My hand would weakly reach for her own, just wanting desperately to hold it.

"Katsumi... I... I'm sorry..."

I could repeat those words a million times and not feel like they were enough. But I needed to be by her side, no matter what.

I held myself up in the well, biting down on my lip as gravity was working its toll on me. I was looking up at the opening, eavesdropping, and yet, wishing they would just go away already! My legs and arms were starting to get a bit shaky! Hurry the hell up!

Finally, I heard their voices fade, and slowly, I worked my way back up the well, crawling along the wall like some weird looking insect. I eventually made it out, crawling out of the well and landing on the floor, panting with relief. So they didn't think I had anything to do with it, which was nice... but regardless, they wouldn't stop me from being a scapegoat if it'd calm their pissed off lord down.

"Oh, son of a..."

I heard the Daimyo's voice again! And it was getting nearer! Jumping up onto my feet, I booked it, running as fast as I could. Seeing an empty merchant's stall, I would sprint towards it and dive into it, hiding underneath the counter in a huddle, trying to catch my breath. I only hoped I wasn't seen. This guy was out for blood.

"You have my gratitude. Thank you." I said to the elderly couple before stuffing the onigiri into my robe. It may come in handy, if it was anything like the ones I had eaten when at Numa Castle.

I made my way into a clearing, luckily having not run into any of the Daimyo's men. I felt I could take them, but I didn't want to have any needless bloodshed, especially over a situation such as this.

Suddenly, I heard voices to my left. It sounded like they were approaching my direction. Looking around in a panic, I spotted a well. I quickly darted over to it. Why hide behind it when I could hide inside of it?! I jumped inside, quickly catching myself on the walls before I hit the water in it using my arms and legs. It took a bit of strength, but I should be able to hold myself up long enough for them to pass... I hope.

"W-.. What the hell did I do?!"

I was hiding inside of someone's home. They were kind enough to take me in after I explained my misfortune. I peered out the window as I heard the Daimyo's voice. He was preeeeeeeeetty damn angry.

Moving away from the window, I slumped down against the wall of the hut, hands on my head as I tried to think of a way out of this. If I was captured, I'd surely be executed! For something I didn't even do! I was just trying to get home to Katsumi! Why the hell did I take this so-called shortcut?! Now I could potentially be gone for months!

Looking up at the villagers whose home I had intruded upon, I had a look of ;^; on my face as I spoke.

"My deepest apologies for troubling you. I shall be off, so you're not involved any further."

I got up, bowing my head politely before looking outside. When the coast was clear, I would exit the door and book it straight behind the house, planning on finding a new place to hide. This was, of course, if nothing went wrong for me. And with my crappy luck...

Arriving at the scene of the battle, I walked ahead of my brothers and Nanami, examining the scene. A barren wasteland, where the terrain advantage would lie in Takehiro's side. Our first opponent was a woman with an exceptionally scary weapon, and I gulped. She was swinging that thing awfully fast.

Recognizing two faces I knew, I smiled. Shou was in the middle of his attack, and was signaling to Ryunosuke to fire his weapon. This gave me an idea. I ran up to the howitzer that Ryunosuke was using. Before he would fire, I'd place my hand on it, channeling my light energy into it. This would ensure that Ryunosuke's attack would be coated in light energy for some extra BOOM! This would hopefully be enough to break through Takehiro's own dark shield around them.

"Ichimura-san, Yamabara-san, it's a pleasure." I noted, placing my demon's mask on with my other hand.

A random Daimyo is pissed! He married the love of his life, only to find out she's got guy parts! And he blames Haji for it for some reason! Now the poor kid has to clear his own name while finding out who caused all of this commotion while avoiding this Daimyo's wrath the best he can!

A random province Haji happened to pass through on the way back home, worst mistake of his life.

Out of curiosity, what does everyone imagine their character sounding like whenever they speak IC?

For Haji, I imagine Hope Estheim from Final Fantasy XIII-2: www.youtube.com/watch?v=0EHCmAkYwk8 (starts around 5:58 to get a lot of dialogue from him. and if I ever bring Valo over, I imagine him sounding like Noel).

I may post ones for my other characters later, but yeah. Figure it'd be pretty cool to hear what others' characters sound like to make the RPing that much easier to imagine.
