Defining Marks: Various scars from fights she has gotten into in the past. There is one on her left side from being stabbed during her first “real” fight and there is another, longer mark along her back from a narrow brush with a sword at the age of seventeen. She also has a jagged scar along her palm that she received as a child and that she does not remember acquiring, however whens he looks at it, she gets a very distinct sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach. This is why she will always wear a white rag wrapped about her left palm. No matter what.

Silver hair-- When she was three years old, she was kidnapped by a rival of her Father's and witnessed many horrific events too powerful for her young mind to cope with. As a result her hair turned this color almost overnight.

Pink hair-- This is something that is the result of her Father's 'alchemist' who, when Kurai was 15, began making trips up into the mountains in order to gather special flowers which allowed for him to create a paste of sorts...it in turn dyes the otherwise colorless locks of the young girl whatever shade she chooses. It just so happens that she chooses pink almost every time out of a love for the vibrancy of the color.

Attire: It is really hard to pin point exactly what she will be wearing, much to the chagrin of her mother who wishes for her to wear more 'traditional' and demure attire like a proper woman should. However, Kurai would much rather wear something that is comfortable and form fitting, allowing for easier movement when she is in situations that require she fight. She will wear traditional clothes, if only to sate her mother and often times change into things which are more custom made (by herself) and comfortable. Some of these can be seen as a bit...riske but she doesn't really care. She just wants to wear what she thinks makes her beautiful and doesn't really seek the approval of others in such matters.

Of course, she also has a wide variety of clothes that do not fit her, which she has stolen...and even more that have been bought for her by both her parents and various admirers over the years, that she has never gotten around to wearing. To say she is spoiled at this point would be an understatement. Though it should be noted that her preferred color to wear is black. She rarely strays from this, though she will add other colors to at least give it a little...excitement.

Items that she always has on her person include:

• Piano Wires : She has fashioned these to look like a belly chain of sorts. It is deadly, but it is often mistaken for an accessory due to the way she wears it. They are her most prized possessions and therefore she will spend time each night sharpening them to make sure that they stay capable of slicing things up...like she loves to do.
  
  White scarf/rag: She wears this wrapped around her left hand to hide the scar that stirs such tumultuous emotions within her. If it is removed by somebody, it is likely to send her into a fit, which never ends well for those involved.
  
  Wrist Cuffs:Around each wrist there is a pair of silver cuffs that were given to her by her Father and that lock into place. They are a means of protecting the more vulnerable parts of her wrists/arms when fighting.

Kurai has a very complex personality, or at least, most people like to assume that she does. In reality though, it is pretty simple and easy to understand, if you pay attention. But, for the sake of making it easier on people to understand, I have broken it down here into various, specific categories so that you can get a detailed look at who she is.

1.Envious--This is by far the most dominant personality trait that Kurai possesses. She is, for whatever reason, envious of virtually everyone around her. It is something which had led her to thievery as well as violence in attempts to gain whatever it is somebody possesses that she wants. Of course, this is not to say that she wont have somebody else steal it for her.

She does have a tendency to be more jealous of women than she is of men. Women have the capability of being prettier or more alluring than her and for this, she will often find reasons to hate them even if none are apparent right away. Naturally, she does try to maintain some female contact as to not draw unwanted attention to herself, but it is rare that it extends beyond anything more than an acquaintance.

Also, it should be noted that she has a tendency to be jealous over others with power. She does not like to think that anyone could have more power than her family and therefore she will often actively seek out to destroy or overthrow those who are perceived as having such.

2.Smart-- Even from a young age it was apparent that Kurai had an above average intelligence. True, she can be somewhat childlike at times, but this does not mean she is a complete idiot. Her intellect has simply been devoted to things such as fighting, stealth and manipulation. Not so much the world around her or book learning as her Mother tried to force upon her as a small girl.

3.Naive-- Just because she is smart does not mean she is not naïve. In fact, she is very naïve. She has a tendency to see the world in a way that a child would, but this does not make her in any way sweet and caring like one would expect a child to be. It just means that she has a limited understanding of how certain things work. This is not always a result of lack of intelligence but often times a result of her lack of morals and ethics.

4.Manipulative-- This is where the intelligence that the young woman possesses comes into play. She often times will use what she understands of people, especially men, in a manner that allows her to manipulate them into doing what she wants. She has had several suitors in the past who have gone to their deaths in attempts to carry out her wishes and there is not a shred of regret for their lives which were lost. She cares only about herself and therefore she will do whatever she has to do to avoid being the one to go into a dangerous situation if she can.

5.Fearless-- This is not to say that she is fearless 24/7 and has no concept of what fear is...she is human. Fear is a natural part of that. However, what it does mean, is that she often times will act out in a manner that she shouldn't, especially in a dangerous situation, if her she gets angry. (Throws a fit.) She doesn't see danger so much as she sees somebody that needs to suffer or die for what they did to her and she has no problem attempting to be the one to carry this out. This is the main reason her family has assigned various guards to her over the years and why several of them have died in the line of duty.

6.Sexual/Lustful-- Yup. She can be a bit of a slut and she really doesn't care. She enjoys sex and has learned over the years that there is an advantage to being able to use this gift in order to get others to do what she wants. Then of course, there is the fact that it is fun. That is always a bonus for her and one that she often times indulges in whenever she is bored or out to get herself into a little trouble. Naturally her Father would never believe that she is like this and often times turns a blind eye to the rumors. After all she is his little “Dark Angel” and therefore she could do no wrong, even if she committed such acts right in front of him. Her mother on the other hand is another story, knowing full and well what her daughter is up to most of the time.

7.Weird-- This one is pretty self explanatory. She is a weird one. Eccentric. Energetic. Dramatic. Childish. All these things and more describe the young woman and thanks to the fact that she is so spoiled, it is not likely to change any time soon. However, should she wind up on her own for awhile, it might. Never know!

8.Sadistic-- I dont really think this one needs to be explained too much. Kurai is sadistic and that is pretty much just a part of who she was created to be. She is the daughter of a very sadistic man, who had witnessed some pretty horrible things in her past, and so it is really not surprising that she has some seriously fucked up things that she enjoys doing to people.

9.No Shame, No Regrets I feel that it is important to mention that Kurai has no real concept of what shame and regret really are. She has felt it...a few times...but not often. In fact, the truth is, she doesn't even know what to do with these emotions when she does feel them and as a result she can often act rather dramatically. A thing which can be dangerous for those close to her.

Born into a wealthy and powerful family who's lands rested in the shadows of the mountains, it seemed as though the child, then known as Gasai would have a life of luxury and privilege. Which, in many ways that is exactly what she had. She was raised with the best teachers, and the best in everything life had to offer. She was given anything her little heart could desire and from the moment she was born, she was her Father's pride and joy. A pretty picture on the surface and one that to this day many people believe to be the entirety behind her upbringing.

The truth though, was that even though her Father was a man who doted on her and gave her anything she could ever want, he was also a very sadistic and violent man. No, he never hurt her or her Mother whom he treated like a queen and still does to this day. He even tried to shield his family, especially his only daughter, from the violence his chosen lifestyle brought about. However, his best efforts failed him and at only three years of age, Gasai was kidnapped by a man who wished only to make her Father suffer and to take from him everything he had built for himself.

During this time, the young girl witnessed unspeakable horrors that she has all but blocked out from her memory. However, the damage was done, turning the girl's hair white almost over night and implanting the seeds of evil that over the years have grown to the point of consuming and eradicating the innocent and sweet young thing that she used to be.

By the time she was seven, two years after the violent battle that led to her eventual return to her family, her Father had noticed that she would not be like her mother who was a sweet and kind woman. Instead, she had become something similar to him and though living in constant denial to the world around him, inside private, he embraced this side of her and nurtured it. He taught her how to fight and would often times indulge the darker aspects of her personality by allowing her to watch as he carried out business matters, including ones that ended with the slaying of various enemies and people who had displeased him in some manner.

The blood and the violence became a part of her life that she was entirely too used to and as she grew older, she even began to take part in the “justice” that her Father dealt out to his servants. His constant approval only proving to make her that much more certain in what she chose to do and in who she was becoming. By the time she was 12, she had become a skilled fighter and a skilled thief...as no matter what her Father gave her, it was never enough and she would often find herself envious of those around her and the things they had.

By the age of 13, she was dealing out her own punishments to those servants who displeased her. Often times these were irrational punishments given for irrational reasons, but she did not know any different because her Father simply sat back and watched with that smile of approval plastered upon his face.

As the years went by, she took to a new name and even a new look, having the man known as an “alchemist” create a special paste that when applied to her hair would dye the silver strands pink when washed out....leaving it that color for weeks at a time before she had to reapply to keep the silver from showing.

The name, now Kurai Tenshei, was something she took as a means of concealing her identity from those who would seek to hurt her Father through her. It was the nickname her Father had been calling her since she was little, when he had first seen the darkness shining in her blue eyes, and so it only seemed fitting. Now though, of course, there are some who know of the name and the family that she comes from as she has not exactly been dormant over the past few years. Instead, she has taken to traveling and exploring, her sadistic, somewhat psychotic nature leaving its mark all across the lands.
