Naotora is a very fit woman, having practiced the art of the warrior from a very young age. Her muscles are very well toned, though not to the point she would appear to look like a man. In spite of the majority of samurai being males, she is not afraid to show she is a woman, and so she makes no attempt to hide her features. Due to her athleticism, Naotora is very well-endowed. Her hips and her legs are some of her best features. From her weapon choice, her arms are also more bulky than the average woman, maybe more than the average man, though she retains her effeminate look.
Personality: Anything any man is capable of, so too is Naotora. She is a very strong woman, and seeks to prove this on the battlefield. Because of the stereotypes on men's and women's roles in the current era, she wields only the heaviest of weapons as a means of showcasing her prowess. In battle, Naotora is ruthless, and, more often than not, will fight to kill. If it means to protect her lord, or her allies, she will show no mercy.
Outside of battle, Naotora can be very sweet. She is kind and caring, often seeing the best in people. In her eyes, stereotypes hold no truth - despite looks and occupation, anyone can be good on the inside. While she does not hand out her trust easily, it is not hard for her to befriend anyone. On and off the battlefield, she seems to be two completely different people.
History: Ever since she was a little girl, Naotora had been forced to abide by her gender roles, and serve men just like her mother. She was never given the freedom to practice swordplay like the boys, and that was always something that heavily interested her. Because she was forced to cater to her father's and brother's needs all the time, she often found herself practicing her swordplay in secret, usually when everyone in the house was asleep. This gave her very little time, but it was always something she found to be appropriate. She never felt more free than she did when she had a weapon in her hands.
When the girl turned eighteen, her father had fallen ill, and the men in her village were being conscripted for the local daimyos forces. Rather than haver her ill father or weak brothers be forcibly taken, she offered herself in their place. The daimyos men laughed at her request, and told her they needed capable men. In response, she lifted a boulder from outside her home and threw it into the center of the village, behind the daimyos men. Surprised with her strength, they were thoroughly impressed, and took her into their forces.
Since volunteering for conscription, Naotora has begun to make a name for herself in the ranks of the Date.
