Conquering the Sea [Dungeon]

[Amakusa Takehiro]

[OoC: Haji and Hidenori. Anyone else who wants to hop in can go ahead, just know I'll be a stickler about posting.]

The Seto Sea was a good distance from Totomi, and even though it was closer than the swamps of Satsuma, it was difficult for Takehiro to find the time to come to the temple. He had now, though, and was more-or-less unannounced, figuring whoever else showed up would be the ones he entered with. So, to the temple he sailed, fully decked out in all of his personal armor, and what he earned from Numa Castle.

Disembarking from his ship, Takehiro made his way toward the entrance.

[Morei Hidenori]

"OH SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII--..."

Hidenori would be falling from the sky straight above the temple. How had he ended up so far up in the sky? No one knew. All that was certain was he was falling towards the monastery at an alarming rate.

[Morei Haji]

Swooping in with my wings of light, I would manage to catch the falling Hidenori before he hit the ground. Landing on the ground almost gracefully, I would set him down with a sigh. Finding out he was alive at Okehazama was a huge surprise, but he was certainly a handful.

"I told you to hold on tightly. You could've died."

Looking up after dispelling my wings, I would see a familiar face. Takehiro was here too? This was looking a lot like deja vu... kind of. I would wave to him with a smile before heading in his direction, assuming my brother was going to follow.

[Brandt Solveig]

Heavy footsteps would signify that the giant was not far behind the Demon of Totomi. Thus far the man had found himself around Takehiro a lot in recent times. Of course it made sense, Brandt was after all learning from him.

His attention jumped to the skys though as he soon heard someone's screams from above. Brandt would watch as another flew in to catch him with wings of light. It seemed they knew Takehiro. They also seemed to be here for the same thing.

"What legends await, my friend?"

[Amakusa Takehiro]

Takehiro would smile, waving to Haji and the dufus he seemed to be escorted by. With the inclusion of his powerful friend of light, this was sort of looking like Numa all over again, although the four would never be in that situation together a second time in the foreseeable future. Takehiro was happy to explore these places with friends like Brandt and Haji, who were the closest he'd had in his life aside from Toshi, his soon-to-be-wife, and his adopted daughter. Yukimura was dead to the Daimyo, and Katsumi was on her way there, especially after her biased judgment she made, keeping Yukimura in her favor and shunning Takehiro, when the Daimyo made a conscious effort and sacrifice to save her, Yukimura, and Haji from the terrors of Numa. So, perhaps it was good she and the Takeda man were not present for this escapade, as it could not end well.

"What awaits, friend, is but a portion of the power you seek," Takehiro smiled, patting Brandt on the shoulder. "Haji! My good man, this is Buranto, a good friend of mine," he wasn't about to call him his disciple. "Who's the gargantuan baboon you have with you?" That baboon was a reference to Hidenori.

[Morei Hidenori]

Hidenori stood up, dusting himself off as he muttered an apology to Haji. That flight was certainly very useful, his little brother was most impressive. Looking to the other man, Hidenori beamed proudly, as if though he were happy to be insulted.

"This gargantuan buffoon you speak of is none other than Morei Hidenori! And I shall lead the charge!"

If no one noticed his ridiculous 39 foot zanbato on his shoulder before, they'd certainly see it now, as if spawning out of nowhere. He also had a smaller kind-of-reasonable zanbato on his back,

[Morei Haji]

"Uh..."

I looked up at the redonkulous sword that my brother was carrying. I had no idea how he planned to carry that into the monastery, let alone swing it around in any sort of useful manner. That said, I would turn towards Takehiro, bowing my head respectfully to the Daimyo of Totomi.

"Takehiro, it is a pleasure to see you here. And a pleasure to meet you as well, Buranto-san." I struggled a bit with the name, but did my best. "This is my older brother... we had a fateful meeting at Okehazama."

I neglected to say that Katsumi could not come. She seemed to decide to travel alongside Yukimura for the time being, and he was one I was a bit peeved with at the moment. It seemed like it would just be us four, but it seemed like nothing we couldn't handle.

Looking at the monastery entrance, I examined it for a bit. "I can feel something down there... something dark... do you think this is a good idea?"

[Brandt Solveig]

The power I seek, aye? Guess we shall see..

Brandt would stare toward the two other men rather blankly. He did not give them any words simply a nod from his head. The giant couldn't help but notice the massive swords strapped to one of the man's back. Brandt couldn't help but feel like he needed a bigger sword now.

Brandt would listen to the one named Haji as he spoke, referring to the depths of the water temple. The northlander could feel something as well, however he would not let it deter him from entering. The promise of strength was a pull he could not tear himself away from.

"If your fears eat at you, light one.. I shall go first? I cannot see how one who possesses light can be so afraid of the dark.."

The giant would snort slightly after he spoke to Haji and took a few steps forward as those pale green hues locked upon the entrance to the temple.

[Amakusa Takehiro]

"Ah... nice to meet you, Big-Haji. You bring that big-ass sword in there, you better know how to use it." Although the two looked nothing alike, and how he could carry a sword that big was beyond the Daimyo.

"Don't fret, there's nothing in there we can't handle. At the most, I expect we'll suffer a few dings to the head." Takehiro smiled to Haji, and patted Brandt's shoulder. Stepping ahead of him, Takehiro himself decided to take point on this one. If any of them could battle the forces of darkness at a moment's notice it would be him. (Although, Numa was Darkness, and this place is Water. But you get the drift.) Leading the way inside, Takehiro would approach the middle chamber.

[Morei Hidenori]

Lowering his weapon to bring it into the monastery the long way, Hidenori would carefully scoot that ginormous blade in alongside him.

"Whoever gave me this... grr... ridiculous..." he muttered to himself, following Takehiro to the middle chamber.

"So you're a Daimyo, huh? Fancy that."

[Morei Haji]

"Hmph. My light shines brighter than any darkness."

It was true. At least among any darkness I've ever seen. My mastery over the light was coming along nicely, to the point it wouldn't be too farfetched to call myself an expert at it. Not that I wanted to toot my own horn, just in case Takehiro showed me up again.

I followed alongside the others towards the middle chamber, drawing my Seraph's Blade. I waited for Hidenori to bring in his ridiculous blade... before walking in myself.

"Deja vu, huh?"

[Brandt Solveig]

Brandt would allow Takehiro the lead without a gripe. As they walked he couldn't help but turn to look at the blade which his new aquaintence's massive sword, nudging him roughly in the ribcage to get his attention. It wasn't to hurt him, he just came from a rough society where males were generally rough with each other all the time.

"My friend, I like big swords too.."

Maybe it was odd that he would pop out with a sentence like that at a time like this. However his face showed little expression as they walked. His silence would last only a brief moment more as he continued to follow Tak's lead.

"I also like my head where it is... Be careful, yes?"

[Uesugi Kenshin]

[OOC: MIDDLE CHAMBER started. Defeat as many enemies as possible, the more enemies you defeat, the better your reward. You must grab the Daimyo's chest and return to the entrance in order to succeed. You may NOT lose any members of your party. You must lock your stats in your next post.]

Similar to Numa Castle, the door would burst open, and a dark power would pull all four of the warriors inside, spitting them out on the other side. They would find themselves in a huge, round chamber. There was a layer of water inside of the chamber that would go up to their knees, while there were some places where the ground was a little higher to where one could stand above the water if need be. If the group looked at the walls and ceiling, they could see various windows that showed them that they were now deep underwater.

Inhuman snarls could be heard, and fifteen merman beasts would jump up from the water. They began to charge the group from all directions, planning on biting and clawing at them!

[Amakusa Takehiro]

Takehiro would have been prepared for the pull, and the water that as inside the path would part around him allowing him to tread feasibly through the area. As the mermen approached, they would find their water was not present around the Daimyo, so they'd have to be out in the open at all times. With no hesitation, the man rose his glaive overhead and swung it around himself in a wide arc, using it's length to take down as many as he feasibly could with a single swing.

[Morei Hidenori]

Being pulled into the chamber, Hidenori would fall face first into the water, only to find no water present due to Takehiro pushing it all away. Spitting mud out of his mouth, Hidenori moved far enough away from his group in order to swing his massive sword at any of the approaching enemies coming from their left.

"At least Buranto ain't judgin' my blade!"

[Morei Haji]

We were pulled inside, as expected. After all, it made no sense if Numa Castle was the only place that held a great evil within. Changing my blade into its whip form, I would slash out in front of me in a wide arc, opposite to Takehiro's, in an attempt to cut down as many as I could right away.

[Brandt Solveig]

Brandt would feel a pull as the door snapped open and the group was pulled inside. The giant almost toppled over, but managed to hold his ground as he was met with a new enemy in sight. Releasing a battle cry, the nord would burst out toward the mermen toward the right. Igniting his shield to shoot himself forward into a spin, his greeves carving a slight circular trail in the dirt as Brandt unleashed a whirlwind attack to cleave in unison with Tak and Haji.

Between Takehiro's, Haji's, and Brandt's insane assault, with Hidenori doing something, all fifteen mermen would be wiped out almost instantaneously! Rad!

A bright light would shine down from the sky... and the Daimyo's chest would appear on a pedestal in the center of the room. There was a brief moment of respite after that massacre.

[OOC: 15 enemies killed. BRONZE awarded thus far.]

[Amakusa Takehiro]

A smirk would appear on Takehiro's face as the Daimyo approached the chest, his weapon still at the ready. "If this is anything like Numa, more bastards are bound to pop out from somewhere. Keep your eyes peeled and your blades ready." The water continued to part as Takehiro stepped forward, so anything within it in his area, he'd find with no problems.

[Morei Hidenori]

"C-crikey..."

Hidenori stared on in awe at the three fighters he was with. He was certainly in powerful company, and even one as dumb as him could see how outclassed he was. He wandered towards the chest curiously, but keeping an eye out as Takehiro suggested.

[Morei Haji]

Whistling after seeing how fast everything died, I couldn't help but chuckle. This was a vast improvement over Numa Castle. But as Takehiro said, there wasn't any time to let our guard down. Who knew if this place had something more powerful waiting for us? I wandered towards the chest just as the others did, looking around at the water, walls, ceiling, everything, trying to make sure there was nothing that was going to ambush us suddenly.

[Brandt Solveig]

Brandt would scan all the corpses as Takehiro moved toward the chest that the group had just earned. Brqndt would turn his back to his fellow warriors and focus his attention on the area behind. While the first wave was easy enough, it was unlikely that they were finished already. Holding his weapon at the ready, come whatever may, Brandt would be ready for it.

Dark masses of energy would appear around the room, fifteen in total. They surrounded the four men before bursting open, revealing creatures underneath. 8 humanoid turtles, the size of a person and wearing masks on their faces, would appear, holding sai. These ninja turtles spread out in an attempt to attack the group from all sides!

The remaining seven creatures turned out to be great water serpents, and these scaly creatures slithered around the room, closing in slowly on the group!

A ninja turtle would jump up and kick Hidenori in the face, before attempting to jump up and impale him through the chest! Two of them would jump at Haji!

A serpent would move towards Brandt, planning on biting him at the waist and pulling him into the depths! Takehiro would appear far too intimidating, as most of the enemy kept their distance from him!
