Name: Hojo Ujiyasu
Faction: Hojo
Ethnicity: Japanese
Age: 45
Gender: Male
Height: 6’4"
Weight: 235lbs
Eye Color: Brown
Hair Color: Blonde
Appearance:
Hōjō Ujiyasu may be one of the largest men to walk through Japan. At a staggering 6 feet 4 inches, he casts shadows that stretch farther than any of his warriors. While he stands tall, his bulging muscles ripple freely since the Daimyo of the Hojo often wears no shirt beneath his armor. The man is never seen socially without a lit pipe, and sometimes in more serious…situations (in his off hand, of course). His blonde hair is sure to make all the women squirm (though he would never betray his wife). His thick plated armor protects his richly colored robes almost as much as they protect his manly muscles.
Notable features include a cross shaped facial scar, his cane-appearing sword (Shikomizue), his rippling muscles and his enticing grin.
Personality:
Hōjō Ujiyasu is a man of few words, but strong actions (and rippling muscles). The words he does speak are usually harsh, if one is so lucky to be spoken to. It wouldn’t be wise to upset Lord Hojo, since you may never see what is coming. Lord Hojo has a habit of whacking stupid people on their head to reprimand them. A solid thump typically does the trick. His cane strikes hard, but the blade inside is what really creates fear.
Lord Hojo rarely talks about himself since he is fully enthralled with the warring state of Japan. He keeps to himself most of the time, confiding in his guards and his loving wife (he doesn't confide in her with words, if you know what I mean...I mean for god's sake the man had seven kids), if she is around.
Lord Hojo cares for his people, but is more mainly focused on winning battles and capturing territory. He does not let his people suffer, but also doesn’t provide what isn’t necessary. His focus and determination to succeed are two defining characteristics of Lord Hojo.
His high intelligence (and rippling muscles) is often said to match that of Oda Nobunaga and Takeda Shingen, truly making him a fearsome commander, leader and daimyo for the Hojo.
History:
At the age of 15, Hojo Ujiyasu won his first battle. Just a few short years later, due to the death of his father, he became the Daimyo of the Hojo clan. At the Siege of Kawagoe, Hojo Ujiyasu lead a relief force of 8,000 soldiers to the aid of his nephew, providing help, and rippling mucles. Hojo Ujiyasu then lead these same soliders into battle without heavy armor and with orders to kill instead of taking heads. These two smart tactics are said to be the reason the Hojo defeated the Uesugi at this battle, along with his rippling muscles.
The Hojo began to expand their territory after this major battle, giving great honor amongst all of Japan. The Hojo territory now covers five provinces. In 1564, Hojo Ujiyasu took two more provinces under the Hojo name. The man was quickly becoming known for his cunning plans, and rippling muscles.
Hojo Ujiyasu married the sister of Imagawa Yoshimoto, Suikeiin. He must have seduced her with those rippling muscles that keep being mentioned.
Ultimately, Hojo Ujiyasu made peace with Uesugi Kenshin and Takeda Shingen, letting his seventh son be adopted by the childless Kenshin. He also let his two daughters marry an Imagawa and a Takeda.
