Appearance: Daichi isn’t what you’d expect of a warrior. He isn’t athletic, he doesn’t possess a muscular physique, and he’s rather short when compared to most other people. Daichi has messy black hair and is clearly overweight. His comical appearance often leads people to underestimate him in his fights. He can usually be seen wearing his signature red yukata with a black sash around his waist. The latter being what he tucks his sword into for carrying purposes.
Personality: Daichi often tries too hard to act tough and cool, but on the inside he’s actually quite the coward. Despite this he’s almost always generous and compassionate to those he meets. Going off of his appearance alone, it’s safe to assume that Daichi has a problem with easting too much. Daichi doesn’t have a problem with compulsive eating, but his weight issue comes into existence because he simply eats too much per sitting and is very lazy.
History: Daichi grew up in a wealthy family and as such never wanted for anything in his life. He had everything he needed and lots of what he simply desired. He was spoiled as a child. Because he always did what he wanted, Daichi was never made to engage in any physical activities and was allowed to eat whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted. This was where is laziness started as a child and it carried through into his adult life. Daichi’s parents loved their child with all their hearts, but ultimately they viewed him as a disappointment. Daichi was their only son and he was supposed to be the one to carry on the family name and maintain their social and economic standing. Imagine the feeling of having such high hopes for your child and than realizing that they are completely incompetent at almost everything.
This caused Daichi’s parents to alter their will and exclude him from it, leaving control of their estate, finances, and assets to his father’s brother, Daichi’s uncle. This man had served in the military his entire life and was an accomplished commander, so he really had no patience for Daichi. When he took control of the family’s money the first thing he did was cut Daichi off. He told the young man that he’d have go out into the real world and make something of himself without the aid of his parent’s legacy. A small monthly stipend would ensure that Daichi would never starve to death, but it was hardly enough money to live off of and would no way support the privileged and extravagant lifestyle he’d been used to. Daichi tried his hand at working a few jobs that his family’s name had gotten him into, but ultimately they didn’t work out. Either he’d screw something up or he’d be so lazy that the boss would fire him after only a few weeks.
Daichi’s uncle had had enough of his antics and stupidity. He called in some favors he’d earned whilst serving as a soldier and got Daichi admitted into a group of mercenaries. From there, his story is still unfolding.
