A Challenge (Entire Takeda Army)

[Shinrai Sakkaku]

"The Tiger of Kai... Takeda Shingen..."

Sakkaku, donned in his mask and newfound mantle, approached the Takeda main camp. His identity was a complete secret, as he had issued a challenge to the Daimyo directly under the name of "Kuroyasha". Perhaps he had gotten too cocky from the power he had gained at Numa Castle, but it was time for him to test some of that power... and why not see if he was strong enough to take his revenge on all of Japan? By first attacking one of the prominent figures and defeating them in order to showcase his power? He had a contingency plan at the ready, just in case he failed...

He would stop in front of the Takeda camp, sure that there would be someone to greet him. His mantle looked as if though it were made of the shadows themselves, and his mask made him look as if he were smiling. The Kuroyasha was curious to see the so-called mettle of the Tiger of Kai, and his young cub.

And if no one came to greet him, he'd just tear right through the gate.

[Takeda Shingen]

As Sakkaku stopped in front of the Takeda camp, he would find two soldiers standing guard at the entrance, as they would immediately cross the spears they held together in an X-shape, blocking off Sakkaku's way. Just beyond the entrance, Sakkaku would see another soldier, who had been standing nearby, immediately take off towards Shingen's tent, to inform his lord of the arrival to their camp.

"Halt! Are you the one that issued a challenge to our Lord Takeda, Kuroyasha?"

[Yamabara Shou]

Shou had heard about someone challenging Lord Shingen, rumour of it had spread somewhat through the camp. Other then those rumours, the day had been quite uneventful up until now. However as a soldier ran pass him, Shou grabbed the man. "What's going on?" He demanded. The soldier explained quickly and Shou let him go on his way to inform someone important. 

Shou would head towards the front of the camp. Shou saw the man in question, and recognised the design of the man's equipment. Numa castle. It was from Numa castle he was sure of it. That was bad, Shou knew how good things from the castle could be. He relied on such equipment looted from that place heavily. Shou would move forward, placing himself on the opposite side of the cross of spears to the other man. "You should leave." Shou would suggest turning slightly to allow the handle of his own demonic blade be seen over his shoulder. 

Maybe the man would think twice once he saw the design of the weapon. While he trusted in Lord Shingen's ability it would be stupid to allow someone to be in a position to possibly kill him if it wasn't needed. "It would be smart to rethink your course of action." Shou would tell the other man, blocking out the world around him he would focus on the other man. Staring into the man's eyes in order to put what little of the man could be seen to memory, luckily Shou would notice if the man moved and as he was the main threat around that was good enough.

"That is correct."

Sakkaku spoke briefly as he was questioned about his identity. It seemed the Takeda were not so willing to allow Sakkaku to approach Shingen, as expected. While he felt he could simply plow through them, he wanted to play it safe. It was wise to discern the strength of your enemy's force before moving in.

From behind the mask, Sakkaku's eyes would land on the new man who arrived, the one telling him to leave. Those red eyes spotted the demonic blade, and Sakkaku smiled an unseen smile. So there were others who had been to Numa here, interesting. He wondered if they had met with the same success, destroying the master of the castle itself. All it did was make him even more curious.

But Sakkaku did not move. Right now, he had no need. He was not attacking, nor was he attacking them just yet.

"I think I would like to test your strength as well..."

[Sanada Yukimura]

With the message from the soldier that had run off delivered to Lord Shingen, with his dual jumonji yari (cross-shaped spears) in hand and his whip sword on his back, Yukimura would come walking towards Shou and Sakkaku, while behind him, a small unit of men, about twenty in total, followed. Back at Shingen's tent, the rest of the men of his army had assembled in front of his tent, determined to protect their lord from the Kuroyasha. They would not allow anyone to get through to Lord Shingen. Stopping a ways behind Shou, Yukimura would say nothing at the moment, but would simply watch and wait, to see what Shou would do.

Shou did not know that the man he currently faced, had a lot more success in Numa, then Shou and the group he was with, did in that demonic castle. He had no reason to believe that he was incapable of matching the man. Letting the focus fade and the world return to normal in his sight. Shou heard the man's challenge.


"I have no quarrel with you. Yes you have the gall, to have sent word challenging Lord Shingen.  Leave or you will get the chance to test my ability." Shou said confidently, his arms tensing preparing to move blades hidden under clothes so that they would slid into hand. If this man wanted to fight his way though. It would not be a easy time. Shou was no push over, and neither was Yukimura who Shou hadn't even realised was behind him, to focus on the other man. 

[Shinrai Sagi]

Far above Kofu and out of sight from any onlookers, Shinrai Sagi, the Shiroyasha, looked down upon the city. His back was to the sun, and he used his light staff to make the light hide his body, while the wind staff held him in the air. Sagi's main concern here was to watch his brother and make sure the Kuroyasha was okay, and had an escape route in case things went south. However, he would not intervene unless he really needed to. If the Takeda's numbers overwhelmed Sakkaku, he would step in, raining hell itself down upon them to cover Sakkaku's escape.

This was the first test to see if the Shinrai were where they needed to be to achieve their goals.

[Shinrai Sakkaku]

At the other man's words, Sakkaku began to laugh.

"Oh, I'm so scared. Terrified, even. I certainly don't want to mess with you."

The Kuroyasha came here for Shingen, and was hoping to test out the young cub known as Sanada Yukimura as well. It so happened that there were other warriors of note in the Takeda forces as well.

"But I think you stand no chance, friend."

[Yamabara Shou]

While the comments from the other man did effect him. Shou put on a blank face. He wasn't going to raise to this man, he had learned lashing out in anger didn't get him anywhere. And this man seemed extremely confident in his ability. Moving his hands behind his back, blade would completely silently drop into each hand. Forming into a set of them held like claws in his right hand. While in his left one would have the medallion pressed, ready to be dropped to create shadow around him. 

Shou would stand there waiting, silently. Waiting for the other man to either go away, or act on his desire to fight Lord Shingen and try to get pass him. Shou wasn't going to strike. In fact hand's behind his back standing calmly. It looked as if he had just started to ignore the man. 

[Shinrai Sakkaku]

Noting that the other man did not even budge, Sakkaku smiled behind his mask. So he wasn't going to back down, huh? Amused, the Kuroyasha would start to levitate into the air slowly, his mantle giving him flight. He was only a few feet off of the ground, but it was a feat that was surely to scare the weakest of the men.

"I suppose it is time for me to judge you..."

Sakkaku looked to the sky as he shot his arms out to either side. With Sagi above him, this was Sakkaku's signal to strike while his brother was hidden by the sunlight...

[Shinrai Sagi]

Sagi's eyes fell upon his brother, and the moment he rose his arms, the Shiroyasha would act. Raw energy would form in his palm, and after a second, it would fire down upon the Takeda main camp. Blasts of this raw energy would continually fire down upon them, most aimed for Shingen's castle itself, and the warrior who stood in front of Sakkaku. Hidden by the sunlight, and even using his light staff to cloak his body entirely, these blasts of energy would appear to be from Sakkaku's own willpower.

[Yamabara Shou]

Shou took a step back from the man as he started to hover. Not from fear but preparation. He wasn't going to let the man to take him by surprise with some strange power from the denizens of Numa. However Shou was taken by surprise not by the one in front of him, but someone unseen far above. A blast of light would crash down into the camp, followed by others. Shou only just managing to jump back out of the way of  the first blast meant for him. A strange dance, continued of Shou trying his hardest to keep himself from harm. If the first blast had been towards him, Shou would have likely be hit. 

Dropping the dagger in his left hand to the ground, shadow would surround him concealing him from sight to some extent and the hail of projectile being aimed at him properly. Raising his now empty aiming at where the floating man in front of him had been a dart would fire out of the shadow towards him, hard to see due to its small size. While his other hand dropped daggers and in a flash drew his sword from his back quickly. He felt like he should call out the camp was being attacked, but from the heavenly downpour it would have been hard not to notice.

[Takeda Shingen]

As Sagi rained blasts of energy upon Shingen's camp, thanks to the soldier alerting Lord Shingen of the man that challenged him, a dome composed of various elements, would appear and encase the castle and campsite, aiming not to nullify the energy blasts, but shield the campsite and prevent it from being destroyed. Standing just at the entrance to his home, with General Sanada Masayuki, his younger brother, General Takeda Nobushige, his son, General Takeda Katsuyori, and Mochizuki Chiyome, the head priestess, flanking him on either side, stood Takeda Shingen, his arms folded across his chest and his massive axe on his back. In front of him, standing at the ready, were the rest of his soldiers, weapons in their hands. They would not allow anyone to reach their Lord, and would fight to the end to protect him.

[Shinrai Sakkaku]

Sakkaku's eyes followed the soldier, his mask attempting to scan what he was trying to do. An empty hand was all he saw, and his mask picked nothing up out of the ordinary... until he felt a sharp piercing pain inside of his gut. Grunting in pain, he fell to the floor, realizing there were things that his mask couldn't spot. So there people of note in the Takeda ranks... Sakkaku smirked behind his mask, despite the heavy feeling in his body. Was it a poison coated on the attack? Or something else?

His mantle's darkness intensifying, Sakkaku would fire dozens of projectiles of darkness at his new opponent, planning on eviscerating him. These dark missiles would hopefully find their mark, unless his opponent had some kind of trick up his sleeve.

[Sanada Yukimura]

His dual jumonji yari at the ready, as blasts of energy rained down from the sky the moment the Kuroyasha shot both arms out and rose up into the air, Yukimura would do his best to protect his unit of men in case the shield Lord Shingen, his father, General Katsuyori, and Mochizuki Chiyome combined, created, were to shatter, by forming a dome of heat energy himself, as he could not form a dome big enough to protect the entire campsite, since his abilities were not as powerful and nowhere near the level of Lord Shingen's. Appearing out of nowhere behind him, Sarutobi Sasuke would come to aid his master, combining his dome of shadow with Yukimura's dome of heat energy, to reinforce and strengthen the dome to protect them from the dark missiles fired by the Kuroyasha, letting Shou handle him.
