"ARGH!"
Sakkaku cried out in pain as the tendril pierced his shoulder. He ripped the tendril out before tearing his own sleeve and applying a tourniquet. It hurt like hell, but he found his arm still mostly usable, if not aching every time he moved it. It would not become a hindrance, he hoped.
He looted the chest, spitting on the dead stalker as he followed after Sagi.

Sagi and Sakkaku would end up at another fork! If Sagi remembered correctly, there was a single chest down either path, though otherwise it was just a dead-end!
Awesome part: Both paths were laden with traps! They just weren't active yet!

Sighing, Sagi would place his hands on the ground to discover the location of the traps. Once he had, he would stand back to his feet, light-headed, and then proceed along the safe-ones, retrieve the treasure, and, once Sakkaku did the same, go back to the entrance, and take the path they neglected to take at the beginning.

Sakkaku would look to the ground as he walked along his path, keeping an eye on any traps that could potentially be in front of him and avoid them accordingly. He would grab whatever was in the chest, and then proceed to follow Sagi back to the entrance in order to go along the other path.

There were no trap problems, because the Shinrai brothers are dicks and saw where the traps were. 'CUZ THAT MAKES THINGS FUN, RIGHT?!
Back at the entrance and taking the correct path, Sagi would find he could continue along the correct path, or take a right and deviate from it!

Sagi himself would have preferred to stick to the main path. However, if Sakkaku sought more riches, then they could deviate from it, so he would ask his brother.
"Brother, do you wish to head down the correct path, or the other?"
Whichever Sakkaku picked, Sagi would lead the way.

"Let us proceed down the correct path for now, perhaps if we get a little more greedy we can go back later..."
Sakkaku would speak to Sagi. For now, they held a lot more power than they originally walked in with. More never heard, and that said, he knew they would grow stronger along either path. He followed along Sagi, chain at the ready.

As the group proceeded down their path, their was a chest in a small nook!
Aside from that, the path continued on, and the group had two options:
1) Continue along the correct path 2) Go left into a fork and split up to take chests like last time!
Sagi's memory was lookin' pretty sweet.

Sagi would take the first chest, keeping with the order they'd had this whole time. And as they followed down the path, he would lead Sakkaku into the fork, taking the left turn and allowing Sakkaku to take the right. This deviation was of less consequence, of course, seeing as he knew they were to be dead ends.
If there were no troubles, he would take the treasure and be back on the main path.

Sakkaku headed along the right path, chain at the ready. If there were no problems, he'd take the treasure and head back to rendezvous with his brother. If there was... he'd explode the hell out of something.

There was no trouble, because your good rolls seem to come in when you're doing absolutely nothing important! Both would get their items with no trouble!
Proceeding along the main path, there would be another chest in a small nook! From there, they could continue along the main path, or proceed along another deviation! This one was slightly larger, if Sagi's memory served correctly!
The deviation had another fork, but this one seemed to be much larger.

Continuing to feel the surge of strength, Sagi was enjoying this. He would, of course, allow Sakkaku to take the next chest, and from there would lead him to the next area.
"If memory serves, this next deviation is slightly smaller than the first. I believe we should take it. But stick together."
If Sakkaku agreed, he would proceed down it, taking the left. If not, he would continue along the main path.

Sakkaku would loot the chest, feeling himself becoming even stronger. He felt as if he could take on all of Japan at this rate, but that day would wait. For now, he followed along with Sagi, nodding at what he stated. The more they traveled together, the better their chances were of survival and growing even stronger.

Sagi and Sakkaku would find two chests along this path! However, their would be two knights of Darkness guarding them! One charged at Sakkaku, wielding gauntlets that seemed to have retractable blades! The other didn't charge, because it had an elemental staff in its hand! It shot a bolt of fire out toward Sagi!
Sakkaku's Opponent: Str: 25(30) Dex: 25(30) Con: 25(30) Wis: 25 Spr: 25
Sagi's Opponent: Str: 25 Dex: 25 Con: 25 Wis: 25(35) Spr: 25(35)

As Sagi saw the bolt of fire, he reared back in surprise, swinging his fan upward to redirect it toward the ceiling. From there, he would charge it, ramming his shield into its chest piece, then its head!

Sakkaku was surprised to see an armored opponent, but would waste no time whatsoever. He would quickly swing his whip along horizontally at the Knight's chest level, planning on exploding it. He would then quickly bring the chain back around in another horizontal arc, this time aimed for the Knight's legs, planning on destroying those too. He would then bring that chain from above, slamming it down on the Knight's head and exploding, before whipping away madly at whatever was left. He wanted to ensure this thing died right away.

Sakkaku's knight was... dead. Like super dead. And it left him a weapon and some armor!
Sagi's knight reared back in pain as he broke its chest piece and its head, revealing that you probably had to destroy the armor to beat these guys! It couldn't react, because it was in so much pain!

As the opponent reared back in pain, Sagi immediately went about shattering the rest of its armor with his awesome shield! He'd go for the arms first so he could take that staff, and if he was successful he'd use it to melt the bastard's legs off.
If that all worked, he'd take whatever armor was salvageable, loot the chest, and go back to the fork and take the right route instead.

Sakkaku would reach down, equipping his newfound weapon as well as taking the Knight's greaves for himself, equipping them. He would also loot whatever was in the chest.
If Sagi's opponent was still not finished off, Sakkaku would strike at it when presented with an opening, planning on destroying it with explosions.
