I leapt off of my horse as I approached Numa Castle. I once allowed myself to lose my courage, to lose my pride. But no more. My cloak blew in the wind as I approached the castle’s doors. I simply kicked the doors open, nearly knocking them off of their hinges. Once inside, I looked down the three paths. I turned to the left. This was the way that I had wanted to go the last time I was here. I kicked the door open again and entered the left chamber, my left hand on the sheath of my sword.

(OOC: Stats, items, equipment all locked. Your task is to reach the Daimyo's chest and bring it back to the entrance, braving traps and other obstacles. Your reward for this path will be based on your time, speed, and how effectively you go through the traps. If you die or are incapacitated for any reason, you fail the dungeon. Good luck.)

Masahiro, upon approaching the left path, would find himself pulled straight into it by an unknown force. It would spit him out on the other side, throwing him to the floor. If he looked behind him, the exit would be covered by a veil of dark energy, prohibiting any exit.

In front of him was a large, open, empty hall. At the very end of it all, on a small platform, rested the Daimyo's chest. It was sitting right in the open, clear for the taking.

I looked down the hall. This seemed easy... a little too easy. There were probably traps littered all over the floor. I stepped backwards a little, and then took off running straight towards the hall. Before I left the entrance way however, I would jump up and twist my body. I would plant one foot on the wall and run along it as long as my momentum would allow me to do. Once I felt myself slipping, I kicked off the wall and ran alongside the other wall. I would attempt to bounce between the side walls until I reached the treasure chest.

Masahiro would run along the first wall with relative ease. However, upon jumping to the second wall, it would seem to push him off, throwing him to the floor! The wall tile had shot out, revealing a spear that had narrowly missed him. He would land on a pressure plate, which caused arrows to shoot back and forth among the walls right above him, six feet across in the center of the hall. Before the chest would be a spike trap from the ceiling, slamming down in a set interval before rising back up to repeat its action! To make matters worse, a portion of the floor on either side of Masahiro would crumble to reveal spikes hidden away underneath!

I was thrown from the wall. I tried to regain my composure and did a flip in mid air, bouncing off the ground with a single hand, pushing down on a pressure plate. Shit. Idiot. I can't believe I fucked up like that. I launched myself back into the air. Dammit not good. Arrows came launching out at me. I pulled my katana from my sheath, and tilting it to the side, I allowed the blades to come loose of each other. As I slashed the sword, the sword would become a whip. I slashed it in a pattern to create a protective shield around me. Once I was high enough to be above the arrows, I would attempt to loop my whip blade around the spike trap that was pressing down in front of the treasure chest. I would attempt to swing myself around, above the arrows. Hopefully I would be able to swing through the room and land on top of the chest.

Masahiro's protective whip barrier would prove useful, although a couple arrows made it through, barely grazing his cheek, arms, and a leg. He managed to swing along using the trap as leverage, but did not make it as far as planned. He would land on the very top of the ceiling spike trap, just as the trap was beginning to ascend again. If he did not move quick, he would be crushed between the ceiling and the trap!

I winced as the arrows hit and my body slid down onto the top of the spiked trap. It was quickly rising back up, so I rolled to the side until I rolled off of the top of the platform before it compressed me between the platform and ceiling. I aimed my body to fall right on top of the treasure chest.

"COME ON! MAKE IT!"

Masahiro would land successfully on top of the Daimyo's chest in stylish fashion! (AKA slamming his side directly into the chest and landing on the ground). Upon grabbing it, he would simply have to get back to the entrance now with the chest, past the ceiling trap and arrows!

Fuck... that hurt. I kicked the chest to push it across the room back to the entrance. I jumped over the platform after it came down and dove under the arrow fire, crawling under them to get to the exit. I'd come this far I couldn't just back down now.

The chest wouldn't go very far! It would get caught by the ceiling trap smashing down, causing it to stay in place, Masahiro would have to go back for it! Additionally, the arrows and the ceiling trap would move three times as fast! Pendulum blades would appear from the walls, appearing by the entrance and going back and forth, and to make matters worse, they were slowly moving their way towards Masahiro! Furthermore, a slot in the ceiling would open, and a small cage appeared, opening up to reveal five crows, who would charge straight for the man! He had to be quick-witted to get out of this one!

Rolling over, I unsheathed my katana and with a twist reverted it to it's whip form. I slashed at the 5 crows that came toward me. I snapped my wrist to slash at all 5 of them with the whip blade. After that I used the whip sword to grab a hold of the handle of one of the treasure chest. I yanked it hard to pull the chest free and up to me. Dammit I was not getting this far for nothing. I continued to crawl forward with the chest. Once I was through with the arrows, I would wait for the perfect moment and charge past the pendulum blade, treasure in my left hand and my right holding my whip blade, back in katana form defending my side in case the blade came down faster than before. Hopefully I'd make it through the portal.

Masahiro would manage to take out three of the crows, as well as pull the chest to his side. Managing to crawl past the pendulum blades with the chest, one would hope he was in the clear...

The walls crumbled on either side of the entrance, and three undead warriors walked out to impede Masahiro's path. If he wanted to escape, he had to deal with them, as well as the two crows behind him still! The warriors were armed with clubs, and they advanced on Masahiro, intent on beating him to death!

"Always one thing after another... God dammit."

I sheathed my sword and tossed the treasure chest at the exit. This way these monsters wouldn't be able to grab it while I fought them. I was tired of this. I decided this was going to end right now. My regular attacks wouldn't work on this. I had to take them all out in one blow... This was it one final blow.

"Hiten Mitsurugi-ryuu... Ryuukansen! ARASHI!"

My voice roared deep as I launched myself at the enemies, leaping into the air. I tossed myself into a forward rolling somersault in midair and unsheathed my sword. Tossing myself into a full and unpredictable spin and slashed my whip sword around, creating a barrier around me. Anything that entered a 10 foot radius of me, would be caught up the frenzy of steel that revolved around me. I aimed myself to strike all of the enemies at once with this attack.

Masahiro, distracted by his act of throwing the chest, wouldn't have enough time to unleash his special technique! In the middle of his somersault in midair, he'd be met with a club to the stomach, knocking him down! The enemies would proceed to kick him on the ground! Luckily, the chest had reached the exit, and began to pull everything out towards it! Masahiro would make it through with the chest, while the creatures remained sealed in the left path. The last thing Masahiro saw before the door shut was the undead warriors flipping him off for escaping!

(OOC: You are awarded the Gold medal. You may either go along to another path for potentially greater rewards, or you may leave with just this one chest and obtain the rewards within. If you fail another path, you will still get the reward for this path.)

Shit... I wasn't able to pull off the Arashi... What did I expect. It was the first time I tried an attack like that. I slammed to the ground and they started kicking me while I was down. I could have gotten back up... but instead I pounded my fist onto the ground. Dammit. Stupid. STUPID! Before I knew it...  I was pulled through the gate, still on my knees. I slammed my fist on the ground. This wasn't enough. I had to go on... I had to keep fighting. I stood up, and walked up to the middle door... or at least what would have been the middle door when I entered. I kicked it open just like all the others, ready to go through.

As Masahiro kicked open the middle door, he would be pulled inside by a dark energy, being lifted off the ground and thrown into the chamber. While he were in the air, he would be hit by a cloud of smoke, which smelled of death and decay. The chamber was large, at least twenty feet high and eighty wide, though the length of it was hard to tell. Bodies of the dead lined the walls and floor, and as he would hit the ground, the dead would let out shrieks of terror and pain, standing to their feet and charging at the him!

If he tried to run, he would find the path behind them was blocked off, sealed by a powerful dark energy that could not be broken through!

[OoC: Middle Chamber Initiated. Survive the gauntlet, take the chest, and run. Do not be incapacitated. Defeat as many enemies as you can. You will be graded on your kill count.

I thrust through the portal and flipped to a stop, landing on my feet, sword sheathed. I was completely surrounded... this would be a perfect chance to redeem the Arashi and try it again. I grabbed the hilt of my sword... but I hesitated. RYUUKANSEN! I drew my blade as fast as I could and turned in a 360 circle, allowing the sword to change from blade to whip in the middle, in an attempt to hit every enemy around me. I couldn't use the Arashi again... not yet. It was the first move I had come up with on my own... and it was a complete and utter failure.

Masahiro's attack would prove successful, and he would wipe out five of the enemies approaching him! However, his sword would wind up lodged in the torso of the fifth opponent, stuck, while the other enemies advanced upon him, planning to impale him!

Additionally, a hole in the ceiling opened up near the back of the room, and soon, creatures could be seen climbing along the rooftops! They charged towards Masahiro while he was dealing with the other enemies!
